Gameplay and story segregation anon,

The monsters (entombed, mogalls, skeletons etc) are seen as abominations and signs of Fomortiis' returning power.

Morva, Monica and Vigarde are used, in game, to depict how twisted and malevolent it is to resurrect the dead, Morva in particular can turn against his daughter - who's to say those randos Knoll/Ewan summons weren't former Grado soldiers ?

Sure it's fun and I love sending random phantoms (and to see them survive lol) at units for fun, but it's just a gameplay mechanic.

If the end of the story's message (or one of them) is "don't bring back dead people, learn to move on" it's not to have Ewan bring back Ross's mom as a zombie and to send her fight against bandits who are terrorizing his village!

speaking of hating 8d,,,,the way the last 3 videos posted on the yt channel are all just like 1 minute promos of the boys telling lyons to come to the seoul concert,,,,,like,,,,they're not even streaming the concert, so intl lyons, and even korean lyons who can't get to seoul that weekend have no way of seeing it, like constantly promoting it does nothing beyond a certain point bc in the end, it's still only seoul lyons who can go and im p sure most of them already know the concert is happening,,

and 8d is releasing these pointless promo videos while not releasing like any of the rest of the seoul collection stuff or tour stuff, like where is the seoul drift dance practice, the ui choreo videos/dance practices, the rest of the tour vlogs, etc etc???? like that's all pre-recorded stuff, it's not even like they can't film bc the boys are busy or smth,,,like that's all already filmed,,,it just needs to be edited/subtitled,,like at least the sd dance practice bro that needs minimallllll editing and no subtitling bc it's literally just a dance practice video my godddddd

Day Five - Festival

Seeing people in the Fire Emblem community be like “I’m sick of having interesting and morally grey characters in Fire Emblem, the fanbase can’t handle it. I just want good vs evil again” is concerning cuz this is how we ended up with Corrin and Garon who are both horrible examples of being completely morally black and white.

Heroes and villains are a lot more interesting when they aren’t 100% good or evil, and I don’t think interesting writing should be sacrificed just cuz some people who consume it have a hard time understanding that.

My favourite stat from Day 4 of the Men’s Ashes, is that for three hours 98% of the balls that England bowled were short.

Reporting From Section Number 2

Song and video made using clips from "TV's Believe It Or Not", as presented by the late Sean Lock on BBC Four. There is something particuarly eerie about 1950s / 60s / 70s UFO stuff, and this is amongst the weirdest. The footage and samples come from a 50s interview and and a 70s episode of "Open Door", broadcast by the actual BBC, both centering around a very strange man. Listening to his weird "alien" voice, I think I realise where Peter Serafinowicz got some of the inspiration for "Building A Human"!

OC Feels: Paladin Rex Edition

This was of course from Terminator, with Kyle Reese (as played by Michael Biehn, my main Paladin Rex faceclaim), but I liked the parallels between their characters:

Kyle Reese was sent back to the past on a mission to save a critically important lady named Sarah and ensure the future of his faction... he succeeded.

Paladin Henry Rex was on a mission back in the past to save a critically important lady named Sarah and ensure the future of his faction... he failed.

For Rex, however, there was no opportunity to go back in time. He can only look back now and wonder what might have been, if everything had worked out differently...

I Came, I Saw...I Cleaned

The Ethereal Party was a smashing success! That said, perhaps it was a bit too smashing… the reception hall and parts of the surrounding campus are looking worse for wear with how littered the ground is with broken decorations, spilled punch, and trampled cat-ear headbands. When only a few students stepped forward to volunteer their help, the administration decided to up their game and hand-pick a few “struggling” students to help out with the cleaning, hoping that the good deed will help them see the inherent value in performing good deeds. Whether those students take the lesson to heart, or even need the lesson at all, is another story…

                    It was mess― an atrocious, floundering mess remedied by very few. He couldn’t simply let the clean-up crew suffer the poor etiquette of the students and break their backs trying to clean up this whole messy ordeal; he’d walk away with a guilty conscience if he didn’t do anything! That simply wouldn’t do...but it wasn’t exactly like Azelle could do much on his own. He only hoped that he might be joined by another grateful enough soul to help remedy the mess they― the students― had all caused. 

                    Empty drinking glasses littered the expanse of the punch table, and Azelle figured it would be best to start there. So, he scooped up as many glasses as he could and deposited them in the passing dish bins, returning to the table to take in another armful and repeat the process until the punch table was cleared of all empty glasses. All the while, he hummed to himself, organizing his thoughts while he absentmindedly restored order to the table.

                    He’d met so many people...so many people he though he’d lost. From Lord Sigurd and Lady Ethlyn to Shannan― King Shannan― and little Seliph...not so little Seliph, but who he could only recall as little Seliph. Crusaders above, even Arvis had sought him out and greeted him, and something bitter blossomed in Azelle’s heart when he recalled how awkward he’d been around his elder brother. It was just Arvis! Belhalla-burning, Sigurd-slaying Arvis...Oh, he’d have to soon learn to move past that. After all, it sounded as if his elder brother was striving to make amends; maybe Azelle could do the same. 

                   “Oh, here!” He beckoned to one of the servants passing by with their dish bin, and he dumped his newly acquired punch glasses into the tub. Punch table handled, Azelle looked around; he knew many of the other students here were selected by the faculty to serve some sort of punishment― be it for too severe of drinking or other reasons, he didn’t know. He also didn’t desire to find out. No, he simply wanted to help the janitorial team and be on his way to his studies. 

today it's been a year since i went to lyon for three days with my class and it had been a long time since i discovered a new place so it is now one of my favorite trips i did. i have so many good memories and still feel so happy talking to people about it and thinking how happy i was there. i was going through a difficult time then but now i miss this period of my life, as well as my classmates and the people i met there 🥺🥰.
