Since it's on my mind, I'll go ahead and post the Izuminokami Kanesada earrings and the Yamatonokami Yasusada hairbow. Hopefully the pics are good enough to really show them. I'm not skilled with a phone camera half as much as a DSLR, but I haven't been able to test and pick a new one to replace the camera that broke. Anyway! Everything is under the cut :3

Earrings heavily inspired by Izuminokami Kanesada's earrings, but with a little creative license. Just ignore the amount of pain my hands were in after having to bend and shape it all. It was worth it. I handmade each tassel, and bent large jump rings into neat looking spacers for the tassels. The center jewel drops swing freely, as do the tassels, and the overall weight is much lighter than it looks. The only problem is that, see how red and angry the ear hole is? I react to a LOT of metals. Reliably I don't react to sterling or fine silver, and titanium, and 22kt gold that I know of. I still wear these things in public, though, even if it's a maximum of 6-8 hours. I'll take the itch, until I can find a way to get a hypoallergenic post that's hidden under a jewel or something. I'm really happy with them.

Yamatonokami Yasusada inspired giant hairbow. The color of the fabric is much more blue like the picture where it is worn, but. The sakura bobby pins Kiyomitsu gives him (both variants) are on the right side of the bow body, and then the "makoto" kanji is on the left tail. And his little white hair tie against his black hair is in the center of the bow. You can see where I also embroidered on the mountain peak border, which was SO TEDIOUS but the result is amazing. It's a very, very large bow but I love wearing it. Maybe people think it's a little gaudy with the size and the color scheme and all the things, but damn it, I'm not wearing it for them. This took aaaages and I can see all these little things and flaws, but honestly I am very proud of myself for getting through this, and I adore how cute it is, just like Yasusada.
I am also ridiculously proud of myself for one thing in particular, which is embroidering a language I don't speak well, using a writing system I have absolutely no experience with; and then when I point Google Translate at it with my phone camera, it immediately recognizes and translates correctly.
So there's the two things that I made, my very obvious declaration of fandom and a much more subtle one. Hopefully it's not like super weird or something, making them for everyday street wear and not cosplay, but it's not gonna stop me from wearing them even if it is.

Painting Nails | Kashuu Kiyomitsu x Reader
Rating: General Word Count: 2,506 Genre: Fluff | Slice-of-Life Summary: You allow Kashuu to paint your nails for you.
Something was wrong, Kashuu had realized. ...No, perhaps "wrong" wasn't the best word to use in this situation, but something was definitely up. The anthropomorphized sword had noticed a slight change in your behaviour around him as of late. He was fairly certain that it was only him you were acting different with since he liked to observe you from time to time and saw no visible difference between you and the others.
The other swords didn't seem to realize before Kashuu tried to bring it up to them, but they did mention that they would sometimes find you staring at the male when he wasn't paying attention. Kashuu crossed his arms over his chest and furrowed his brows, letting out a soft and troubled hum, wondering if perhaps he did something wrong.
"I don't think that's the case," one of the tantous spoke up. He was one of the swords that has been with you from the start. It is because of that that he is able to notice whatever slight changes in and about you that the newer swords might not realize. "It looks more like she wants to say something, don't you think so?"
Kashuu slightly pursed his lips as he thought back to his previous encounters with you from the last few days. Indeed, he did often find you opening your mouth as though to say something to him, only to quickly shut it, changing your mind. It struck him as odd, but he didn't want to pry—it wasn't in his place, he thought—and didn't say anything about it.
"Well, good luck with whatever it is," the other swords said, bringing their conversation with their fellow sword to a close, leaving Kashuu alone with his thoughts of you as they went off to perform the different duties that were assigned to them.
Later in the day, most of the swords had left to go on expeditions as well as the front lines, leaving very few swords to remain. The swords that did remain in the citadel were all scattered throughout, doing their own business, leaving a peaceful quiet to hang in the air. Kashuu was one of these swords that remained, and he spent his time just staring out at the sky.
Kashuu was worried about your strange behaviour. He thought that perhaps he did something to upset you, and he pressed his lips together in a firm line as he tried to shake away the thought of you abandoning him just like how his previous master had done. The sword tried to distract himself with small jobs around the citadel, but he found his thoughts trailing off back to you, and eventually he gave up since he couldn't keep his focus.
"May I sit with you?"
Kashuu snapped out of his thoughts and glanced upwards to look at the owner of the voice who wished to accompany him. You offered a grateful smile when Kashuu had gestured for you to take a seat beside him. Kashuu's eyes watched you as you slowly took the place at his side before bringing his attention back to the open sky. The two of you sat side by side in a silence that was neither awkward or comfortable. It was just silence.
The male, debating as to whether or not ask you if something was troubling you, turned his head to look at you and saw that your head was slightly bowed, your gaze constantly shifting between his hands and yours. You started to lightly tap your fingers against your lap as you continued to remain focused on both of your hands.
"Maybe she wants to hold hands?" Kashuu thought as he slowly shifted his hand's position, making sure to watch your reaction so that he could determine what course of action to take next. There wasn't really much change.
Figuring that he might as well go for it, the male reached out and took your hand in his. Your eyebrows slowly rose in confusion and surprise as you asked, "Um, what are you doing?"
"It looked like you wanted to hold hands," Kashuu answered, slight uncertainty lacing his voice. This wasn't the first time he's held your hand, though. Although it did take a while for you to warm up to everybody and vice versa at first, you had grown to love the physical contact with the swords.
You loved the warmth and comfort they provided. Of course, you knew when to maintain your distance, but every now and then, you would ask if they could hold your hand or give you a hug. Some swords were more than happy to give in to your selfish whims while some others would only tell you to find someone else to do it which you really didn't mind. Kashuu was one of the swords who would almost always give in to your requests for warmth, and over time, you eventually grew to ask Kashuu for physical affection much more frequently than the others.
"Oh, uh, well...no..." you replied to Kashuu's assumption.
"Well, shit," Kashuu mentally cursed, his cheeks suddenly growing warm. He was about to pull his hand away when you continued.
"I was admiring your nails..." you trailed off, a question lingering on your lips, uncertain of how to continue.
"Do you..." Kashuu asked slowly, "...want me to paint your nails?"
You raised your head almost immediately and peered closely at the male, causing him to slink back slightly from surprise. "Really? You'll do them for me?" you asked, your voice sounding a pitch higher than usual. You tightly gripped Kashuu's hands, unknowingly inching your face closer towards him as you waited for a response.
"Y-Yeah, sure," Kashuu managed to stutter out despite the far too close proximity of your face to his.
You beamed at the sword as you finally pulled away, "Yay! Thank you!"
Kashuu let out a small defeated but amused sigh as he got up to get the supplies. He figured that it would be nicer to paint your nails out here with this nice weather rather than in the small confines of his shared room. You followed after him, deciding to help with the preparations. Kashuu had told you that it was fine; he can do it by himself, but you insisted. Since it was for you after all, it just felt weird not helping. Even just small tasks to help with would've been fine. Once Kashuu got the nail polish and gave them to you to hold, he then took out a small table to place the bottles for convenience.
"Here," Kashuu gestured for you to sit in front of him.
You excitedly did so, eliciting a small and amused chuckle out of the sword. You playfully stuck your tongue out in return. Kashuu then gently took your hand, allowing himself a moment to look at it admiringly. The corners of his lips gently curved upwards before turning his face to look at you.
"You really do have beautiful hands," he complimented you, and you, in return, offered a smile.
"Thank you."
The young-looking man then turned his attention back to your hand that he realized he was still holding. He let go slowly as though trying to let the feeling and warmth last as long as possible before proceeding to grab one of the bottles of nail polish you had placed on the table. He showed it to you, and he curiously tilted his head as he asked, "Is this colour okay?"
You glanced at the colour and nodded. "I trust your judgement, Kashuu."
"Really?" he sounded genuinely surprised, but his expression quickly changed to one of pure joy. "I'm glad. I think this colour really suits you. It's also one of my favourites."
You hummed in response as Kashuu unscrewed the cover of the bottle. He took your hand in his once again, taking the brush from the bottle and then started painting the nail on your thumb. A comfortable silence stretched out between you two. At first, your eyes had wandered around the room since there wasn't much for you to do, but you eventually focused your gaze on the male in front of you. You couldn't help but stare at Kashuu while he painted your nails, admiring the look of concentration he wore on his face.
Kashuu had felt you staring at him, and he awkwardly paused in his strokes, directing his eyes upwards to your face. Your shoulders jumped slightly from surprise, and your initial reaction was to look away, embarrassed that he had caught you staring. You cleared your throat, suddenly finding the floating clouds to be very interesting. Allowing a few more moments to pass by, you finally decided to spare a glance at the sword. He had resumed his work on your nails, and a quiet sigh escaped your lips.
However, Kashuu had heard your sigh, prompting him to slightly quirk an eyebrow. Feeling the atmosphere becoming more and more awkward between the two of you, he opened his mouth to speak. "I'm amazed by how beautiful your hands remain, despite all the hard work you have to do."
You lightly shrugged, "It's not like I do a lot of the tough jobs since I have you guys to do them for me."
Kashuu laughed, "I wonder what would happen if we all decided to not work and have you do it instead."
"Oh, I can do it," you assured the male with confidence. "It would take a while, but I can still do them. Maybe even better than you guys."
"Sounds promising," Kashuu replied, smiling in appreciation of how the awkwardness of the previous situation seemed to disappear as the current conversation continued.
"You sound like you doubt me," you puffed your cheeks in a slight pout before replacing it with a proud grin. "I'm very skilled with my hands, you know."
Kashuu nearly faltered when he heard those words. He was certain you didn't mean anything more to them, but he had been spending far too much time with the more "perverted" swords that he interpreted the words to be something dirty. His breath hitched in his throat, his face becoming slightly flushed as blood rushed to his face and other parts of his body. The male's mind had started to become preoccupied, imagining unspeakable scenarios between you and himself. Kashuu lightly bit his lower lip as he shifted himself into another position. Much to his relief, you had resumed staring at the clouds outside, so you didn't take notice.
"There. I'm done with the first coating for this hand," Kashuu announced just as he had started to calm down. "Give me your other one."
You obeyed and offered your other hand to the male. Meanwhile, you brought the hand that Kashuu was just finished with, closer to your face for inspection. The colour really did look nice on you, and you were grateful for the fact that your trust in Kashuu's judgement was well-founded. He did a really good job with it too, you noticed. The nail polish was applied evenly throughout, and there weren't any missed spots nor were there any nail polish on the skin around the nails.
"How is it?" you heard Kashuu ask with a slight nervous tone to his voice when he saw your eyes fixed on your nails.
"It's perfect," you smiled. "Definitely better than what I can do."
He quietly let out a sigh of relief at your response. "If you ever want me to paint your nails again, feel free to come to me at anytime," the sword said.
You brought your hand down to rest on the table and turned your attention back to the male who was almost finished working on your other hand. "Thanks. I will most definitely take you up on that offer. I appreciate it."
Kashuu returned your smile just as he finished painting. You pulled your hand back while Kashuu closed the bottle of nail polish and set it back on the table. His eyes scanned through the other colours and finally found the one he was looking for. He gestured for your other hand again, and you offered it, feeling slightly confused.
"Oh, we're not done yet?" you asked.
The sword shook his head, "These are just some finishing touches I want to put to really make the colour pop, unless you don't want to?"
You let out a soft hum of understanding before shaking your head, "Go do what you think is best. Like I said, I trust you."
For a moment, the male stared at you with an unreadable expression before he resumed his work. When he was finished with one hand, he moved over to work on the other. You once again brought your finished hand closer for inspection. Your eyes couldn't help but light up upon seeing the beautiful work that Kashuu has done. With the other colour which complimented the base, Kashuu had painted small designs, making your nails look much more beautiful than before.
"Your hands are so steady," you commented when you saw no hesitation in the strokes of the design. "It's amazing."
Kashuu laughed and thanked you for the compliment. A few moments later, he finally finished with both hands. He straightened himself up, looking at you with a proud and accomplished expression on his features as you looked at your nails with a more than satisfied grin.
"I love them!" you exclaimed in pure delight, giving the sword a hug, careful not to ruin the beautiful work on your nails. "Thank you so much!"
Initially, Kashuu remained frozen in his spot but later warmed up to you and returned the hug with as much affection. "Anything for you, Master."
"Oh, Master, did you paint your nails?" one of the uchigatanas who had returned from their expeditions spoke upon seeing the new colour on your nails. "They look lovely."
Upon hearing this, the other swords looked at your hands, and you held them up so that they could get a better view. A light chuckle escaped your lips as compliments passed between each sword. "It's really nice, right? Kashuu did them for me."
"Hm, is that so? It looks really good."
"Heh, it wasn't much," Kashuu finally joined in the conversation.
"I really do love them," you told the sword once more while the others had started to leave to get some rest and repairs done after a hard day of work. "They're very pretty."
Kashuu's expression softened. "Pretty nails for a beautiful master. Well, even if you don't paint your nails or anything like that, I'd still think you're beautiful and will still..." Kashuu trailed off, earning him a curious glance from you. He shook his head, and you decided not to pry before an urgent sound from one of the other swords' mishaps within the citadel calling for your attention pulled you away from the conversation.
As Kashuu watched your retreating figure, he whispered the last words of his sentence, "...love you."
