HELLO my siblings in Doyle! Today's letter. Pretty full of stuff i must say!
Tumblr media
They're out of London! After a uhm... Combinations of events? He prefers not to well on those? UHMM... 1895? Wilde scandal?
Anyway, Holmes is SAD.
Tumblr media
SAD. UNCOMFORTABLE. NOT IN THE MOOD.
He needs to do his research and to snuggle on his Watson. He needs enrichment as he's in a weird new environment.
Case accepted, anyway let's try i...
Tumblr media
It? Watson what are you doing with your face? The biggest, cutest, blue puppy eyes.
Case accepted with Watson coming! Let's see
Tumblr media
Yes! He's happy, he's ENRICHED!
Now let's see to the prof's room. We find among other things pencil shavings!
Tumblr media
HOLMES!! Be polite! And you'll have to apologize much more than that to Watson, UwU.
(finding myself wondering how Brett and Hardwicke would've played this scene. Such a pity they never filmed this 🥺)
Now to question the Butler!
Tumblr media
Uhmmm. I sense like this will be pretty important in the case. We'll see!
Remember, kids, it's essential to one Sherlock Holmes' health to be properly enriched, a Watson might help in doing so, but sometimes the only thing that works is a case!

There was no gainsaying that she would have graced any assembly in the world. Who could have imagined that so rare a flower would grow from such a root and in such an atmosphere? Women have seldom been an attraction to me, for my brain has always governed my heart, but I could not look upon her perfect clear-cut face, with all the soft freshness of the downlands in her delicate colouring, without realizing that no young man would cross her path unscathed.
Holmes: Now this is the part where Watson would put three paragraphs about how beautiful the woman was. So here goes. She was SO beautiful. By the way I am super aroace, just in case you forgot.

Sherlock Holmes is the rush of discovery, the thrill of pure curiosity, the pulse of unbridled passion, the whir of the gears of the restless mind. He reaches out and Watson, lost and alone, is eager to be swept along, away from his burdens and failures. When Holmes jumps out into free fall, grasping for a solution just out of reach, forgetting that he too is mortal, it is Watson who pulls him back from the brilliant rush of madness, reminds him of simpler, more solid things.

Sherlock tells Kitty in 3x02 that "genius is an infinite capacity for taking pains" and then 6x01 is titled "An Infinite Capacity for Taking Pains".
he tells Joan in 1x10 that "once you eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, is the truth" and then 6x21 is titled "Whatever Remains, However Improbable".

When a muderer Holmes helped to convict threatens to kill Holmes, Holmes tries to get Watson to leave so that Watson will be out of harm’s way
Holmes: “Watson I’d take it very kindly if you could, well, clear out of here for a week or so, take a room at a hotel”
Watson: “Oh? Why?”
Holmes: “Well I’ve some research work to do on blood types and I think I’d get through it much more quickly on my own, I’ll foot the bill of course”
Watson: “Nonsense”
Holmes: “All the same I wish you’d go”
Watson: “Nonsense”
Holmes: “I insist Watson, there’s no reason at all why you should risk your life”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Watson: “Look here old man, your danger’s quite enough for me. Now not another word, eh? I’ll make some tea”

Holmes isn’t happy about it but gives in for now

watching the second granada holmes story now (or, half of it, we had to stop for the night) and its so much FUN its been ages since ive seen a sherlock holmes story that isnt one of the famous ones that i already know the plot of, but ive never actually heard of the Dancing Men before so i actually get to enjoy it as a mystery story instead of just a good piece of media

Vexatious, according to the oxford dictionary: difficult to deal with and causing a lot of anger, worry, or argument

Love stories where Watson is just going fully feral. I just watched the Lady Frances Carfax episode and the bank scene was so funny. Holmes takes his eyes off Watson for a second to talk to the manager and Watson's already downstairs tackling someone. Good for him.
