AU Time, AU Time!!
This AU has quite a few alterations! The main ones are included here, but there'll be more noticable ones that will come later!
- King Koopa has custody of his kids and isn't an asshole! (Wowie!)
- The Koopalings are MUUUUUCH younger and their age order is different

Koopa Species & World Geography:

This map is a good reference point for where the countries are and the diversity of environments in this world. There are many species of Koopa depending on the environment:
Sky Koopas: High altitudes, in the sky (Sky Land, Cloud Kingdom, Mengeruine Clouds)
Sea Koopas: Warmer oceans / lakes (think near the islands, beaches, and Lake Kingdom)
Sand Koopas: Any desert (Layer Cake Desert, Sand Kingdom
Pirahna Koopas: Pipe Land
Snow Koopas: Very cold areas (Ice Land and Snow Kingdom)
Rock Koopas: Mountainous regions (Rock Candy Mines
Jungle Koopas: Soda Jungle
Grass Koopas: Standard, normal Koopas. Found just about everywhere
This guide also applies to the Koopa Kids, as they follow the Koopa species.
These species give each of the Koopalings (& Kids) quirks. (Except Cheatsy and Larry.)
Sky Koopas (Ludwig & Bully) have wings and hollow bones. As babies, Sky Koopas use a humming bird's wing pattern to fly.
Sea Koopas (Wendy & Kootie Pie) have gills and fins that make them EXCELLENT swimmers.
Jungle Koopas (Iggy) and climb and camoflauge, as well as easily tear through bark to eat tree bugs. (Iggy had to break a habbit of eating ants.)
Sand Koopas (Big Mouth and Roy) have many spikes to avoid being eaten. They also take on a reddish-brown colour to blend in with desert rocks when hunting. They have great digging ability, so they can chill under the sand during the scorching day. The varients of Sand Koopas have different tails, such as rattle snake (Big Mouth) and scorpion (Roy). Oh, also, they're venomous! And scorpion Sand Koopas can sting :3
Rock Koopas (Morton) are Desert Koopas evolved to climb mountains and fight others to become king of the hill to get the best (limited) vegetation. Their most notable feature is their horns.
Snow Koopas (Lemmy, Hip & Hop) are furry and get very weak in the heat. They also love fish. They tend to purr when happy, and often knead. Like cats, they have retractable claws.
Pirahna Koopas (Kooky) are known as the "freaks" of Koopas because they act the most feral. They bite, have cloroplast in their tail, have odd coloured eyes... The rumours have been that they're merges of Pirahna Plant and Koopa, but it was actually evolution slowly turning Pipeland Koopas into partial pirahna plants.
Koopalings
The koopalings JUST got adopted by Bowser. Their age order (oldest to youngest) goes Iggy, Morton, Lemmy, Ludwig, Roy, Wendy, Larry. (This is a reference.) They all have separate parents (except for Ludwig & Roy, as they're twins) that passed away in some horrific accident. (I love giving my characters trauma! <3) Their ages go as such:
Larry -> 4
Wendy -> 5
Roy & Ludwig -> 7
Lemmy -> 9
Morton -> 10
Iggy -> 12
They all take magic lessons from Kamek, and designed their wands to their liking. (Morton was TOLD to not make a hammer, but he didn't care.) Due to PTSD, they can be hostile, jittery or distressed at points for seemingly little or no reason. They try to adjust to their new life as royalty.

Koopa Kids
King Koopa keeps custody of his kids in this AU! Many koopas from all over the world volunteered to birth the king's children, but once they lounged around to get enough luxury items, they left. Bully was born paralysed from the waist down, but when unable to use his wheelchair, he gets around by flying. Also, Cheatsy is trans in this AU, but unlike the main world, King Koopa is fully supportive of his younger princess. (She dresses like Kootie Pie, but in hues of blue.) The only mother that still bothers to visit is Kooky's mother, who is much the opposite of Pirahna Koopa stereotypes and often comes to calm her son. The Koopa Kids age order is as follows:

Broodals
The Broodals are a mafia gang! Madame Broode (called Mama Broode) is the mother figure and leader (as well as the birth mother of Hariet). Hariet is uninterested in joining the gang, and Mama Broode respected her wishes by getting an apartment near a wealthy school so Hariet could study and "become anything she wanted to make Mama proud". Meanwhile, Mama Broode took orphaned boys into her gang, including
Topper, an abandoned bun with a lazy eye and a stutter
Spewart, an aggressive and protective older brother mourning the recent death of his parents and coping with homelessness
Rango, a non verbal child trying to comprehend everything.

Here's Chloe's main miraculous design!
Naming Choice
The name she choses is Abeille Gardienne. Which roughly translates to Guard Bee, it may not be exact because I used a translater, since I can't remember any French.
There are two reasons why she chooses this name. One being that it's her literal role at this point for Dauge Noir and Mayura, she's guarding the akumas as well as them, therefore showing how they consider her a pawn in their game. An very important pawn, but a pawn none the less. The second reason being it's very simple and literal, which helps her to hide her identity. Her classmates and a good chunk of people around her believe that she's incapable of being anything but over the top and acting like a selfish, arrogant bitch. So by choosing something so literal it makes it seem like Chloe can't be Abeille Gardienne, because it's not her style.
Design Choice
Now you may be thinking she looks nothing like some Chloe would choose. And that, like her name choice, is the point. After Dauge Noir gives Chloe the bee miraculous back, Pollen helps Chloe research different bees, stating she doesn't have to be a honeybee. As well as this she's purposefully picking something that she would never wear, to make people think someone else is working with Dauge Noir, and it's not her.
I gave her sharp spiky armour to go with the whole guard theme. But also as another way to hide her identity because it's not something over the top, and a Queen-like outfit, so people think it's not her. Also to prevent people from getting close to her, so she's got spiked blades on her gauntlets, and on her pauldrons. I gave her armour some hexagonal patterns to associate with bees. And her skin is this pale teal colour in order to draw your eye to that area. Wings, because it's the bee miraculous. Also her eyes are dark black and the pupils are increasingly lighter shades of teal. I wanted this because I thought it looks cool, and if she's stood in the dark you'd see two little pricks of light. I also gave her mandibles because I think they look really cool, and bees have them, as well as the antennae. The bee miraculous is also in her hair, but I just changed the colours. Her hair is also a different colour and shorter to help hide her identity. After she gets injured, her design when using the miraculous doesn't change because she's so desperate to hide her injuries because she doesn't want anyone to find out so she can keep fighting and eventually get her parents back.
The Bee I designed the look after is the Neon Cuckoo Bee. I chose this bee because the colours are pretty and the total opposite of what she usually wears, so it's again helping to hide her identity. But also because Neon Cuckoo Bees are considered parasitic bees and they place their eggs with blue banded bees so their larvae feed off of the other bees larvae. As well as this some neon cuckoo bees can kill and replace the Queen of the hive. And at this point in the story Chloe is thinking some really horrible things about herself, like she believes herself to be nothing but a parasite that can't do anything but hurt others. So by choosing to look like a parasitic bee, it's her subconscious thoughts being shown to others, although they don't understand what bee she's looking like.
For weapons she has the spikes on her blades that can stab things, but also holds the venom that paralyses people when she uses venom. I didn't draw them here, but she also has a mace that has the same colour palette as her design. After her injury she also has the metal bar/spike that impaled her, so at some akuma fights the other miraculous holders see her just carrying this bloodied metal bar with her.
Powers/Story choices
For the powers, Chloe has venom, but also a power that allows her to control other people. I'm haven't fully decided how this secondary power works yet, I'm thinking mini neon cuckoo bees or flowers she can grow. So the bees would sting people, and the flowers would emitt a nice smelling perfume that makes her control people if they smell it.
When she's being Abeille Gardienne, she acts differently to when she's just Chloe. So she's more subdued and quiet. Only making grunts when fighting. Apart from when she has her breakdown on her birthday. Or when she occasionally has a conversation with someone. Again to help hide her identity. She will occasionally say bad things about herself if she gets brought up by another miraculous holder so it appears if she's another person. However her saying all these horrible things about herself doesn't help her already failing mental health.
Another thing, is that when she gets the bee miraculous, all the other miraculous holders (Dauge Noir, Mayura, Cat Noir, Rena Rouge, Carapace and Ladybug) have had their miraculous for at least a year. So they all have way more experience than her. That's why I gave her the mace, so she's relying on brute force and the akuma to get through the fight. Then after her injury it's even harder for her to fight, but she's still forcing herself to do because of the forced deal. Post-injury it's not uncommon to find her coughing and spitting up her own blood and she's often clutching her side where she was impaled, during akuma attacks.
You might also be thinking why I didn't choose Lila as Hawkmoth's helper. Well one because it's a Chloe-centric story, and it's more hard-hitting with Chloe. The second reason is because it makes more sense from Gabriel's perspective for the rewrite. Sure Lila may appear to be smarter and a better manipulater than Chloe, but Gabriel knows nothing about Lila. So he has no way to keep Lila loyal to him, whereas with Chloe he's known the Bourgeois's for years so he knows what makes Chloe tick and can keep her loyal by using the one thing she desperately craves against her. It's even more shitty of Gabriel to kidnap Audrey and Andre because it's just after Audrey and Andre start fixing their relationship with Chloe. This also leaves Chloe vulnerable to the public's negative opinions of her, and her parents are their to protect her. Therefore Chloe never gets a break after Miracle Queen, because she's being bullied in her everyday life and when she's Abeille she's being blackmailed by Dauge Noir with the threat of her parents lives being used against her. Most of her classmates and the school (apart from Sabrina and Adrien) turn to bullying her or straight up ignoring her.
Despite working for Dauge Noir and Mayura, Chloe does have moral code when she's Abeille. She won't go after civilians and when the akumas go after civilians she'll purposefully attack the akuma or put herself in the way so she'll take the blast. This usually infuriates Gabriel, and doesn't physically help Chloe because it sometimes tears the stitching of her side and hurts her alot. She'll also drop everything if a child and their parents ends up in danger solely because she doesn't want anyone to experience being without a guardian like she is. She considers the miraculous holders (apart from Adrien after she finds his identity) and the akumas fair game because they have the power to defend themselves. Also when she's up against the akumas and miraculous holders she's the weakest out of all of them because of lack of experience and her poor physical/mental health.
Over the course of the rewrite, a few people do find out Chloe's identity. Sabrina, Adrien and Miss Bustier find out Chloe's identity as Abeille because she ends revealing herself to them. She transforms in front of Sabrina because she's stuck in the room and could only get out by using the extra strength the miraculous provided, and she wanted to get Sabrina somewhere safe. Whereas with Adrien they end up fighting alone with each other and fight until the timers run out on both their miraculous. With Miss Bustier it happens during school on a day after her injury when she's alone because Sabrina is ill and Adrien is at a photoshoot. She accidentally detransforms in front of her because she's too exhausted to keep it up, due to her using the miraculous to hide her injuries.
Butler Jean, on the other hand simply figures out Chloe is Abeille because she's frequently disappearing when akuma attacks occur. Audrey and Andre also do figure out Chloe is Abeille because Gabriel as Dauge Noir couldn't keep his mouth shut and tells them, to see their reaction to him kidnapping them solely to blackmail their only child.
Sabrina and Chloe become better friends after Miracle Queen. With them hanging out more and Chloe doing things Sabrina likes, like watching ridiculous amounts of magical girl shows. Chloe truly cares for Sabrina in my au and after they repair their relationship, they start dating. Adrien also stays with friends with Chloe and they both have a close sibling-like bond. They relate to having to hide their identities, and when they head to akuma battles he discreetly helps her because after her injury she can't see out of her left eye. They also sit and binge watch horror movies. Together Chloe, Sabrina and Adrien with Pollen and Plagg help figure out Gabriel and Natalie's identities and confront them.
During this, Chloe starts to watch horror movies as a way of coping with her situation. She finds horror movies with supernatural monsters quite relatable in a way since she's now dealing Dauge Noir and Mayura who are quite otherworldly and etheral in their own ways. She gets into the first two Hellraiser films because the colours of Pinhead and Dauge Noir are similar. She also gets into cooking because of needing food for Pollen and to keep herself awake, so Jean helps her with cooking. Another hobby she learns is photography as another way of trying to cope, by trying to make the fleeting memories last. Another reason she starts doing photography is so if she ever finds her parents she can show them what she's been up to so they're not completely clueless as to what's happened over the time they've been missing.
I think either Andre or Audrey will be the next redesign up. Since I want to finish the Bourgeois family first and I've made some important changes to Audrey and Andre, then do the others. I'm really excited to do Gabriel's design though. I don't know when I'll get the next redesign out though.

Zonnia Pokedex: Larvader, Grisalis, and Scornery
Larvader
Tripwire Pokemon Bug / Poison Wurmple + Venipede
Appearance
Larvader are cylindrical insect Pokemon, grub-like and measuring a foot and a half in length. Plates of glossy dark red carapace run along this Pokemon's back, stretching forward over the top of the head like a horn, and reaching all the way to the tip of its tail, where it forms two smaller spikes. When Larvader curl up, the underside of their body's front and back halves press together, creating a thick covering of carapace with little access to the softer inner body.
Aside from the red carapace, Larvader's body is purple, and rough to the touch but not particularly tough. The underside of the Pokemon is cream-coloured, though it's often difficult to see this. More visible are the two cream-coloured circles that appear on the Pokemon's sides - one on each. These circles are hollow, with the regular purple colouring within them.
Larvader have a collection of small feet along the length of their body, ten in full total. These feet are simple black curved points, and are used more for gripping to surfaces than moving with speed. The head of Larvader consists of two dark yellow eyes, with circular black irises, and a slightly pointed beak-like shape to their mouth. Inside the mouth is a pair of fangs, emerging from the upper lip and pointing downwards.
Ecology
Larvader are another species primarily located within the Zonnia Basin, with the Pokemon embracing the uncommon role of a Bug-type with a low reproduction and high survival rate. Larvader are born singularly, often with no more than one from a mated pair of Scornery per year. And while the survival rate for this Pokemon itself is middling, once it achieves its first evolution a long life is almost entirely guaranteed.
Slow to move by traditional means, Larvader navigate dense underbrush and bury themselves in fallen foliage, before shooting out a thin strand of thread from their mouths to attach to a nearby tree or rock. This thread then serves as a tripwire - any other creature making contact with it alerting Larvader to potential prey.
When Larvader does sense contact with its thread, it immediately shoots out a much thicker mass along the same angle, aiming to strike whatsoever touched its thread. On connection, Larvader will then reel in the thread, causing either the target to be pulled to it or, more often, it to be pulled towards its target.
Curling up, so that its armour plating almost entirely protects it, Larvader will bite down upon prey as soon as it is within reach, releasing a paralytic venom from its fangs. This venom is slow-acting, requiring continuous injection for a proportional period of time to the target's prey, but thanks to its armour protecting it Larvader are not easily motivated to release their bite and give up.
Once its prey is fully paralysed, Larvader will use its sticky thread to wrap and bind them, slowly dragging them to a nearby storehouse of all collected prey. Once it has enough, Larvader will cocoon itself surrounded by its tightly bound prey and begin the process of evolution into Grisalis.
Field Report
While Larvader's hunting mechanism can be intimidating, it is its hard armour that grants the species long-term survival prospects far more than its actual predatory nature. Larvader don't discriminate in going on the assault once their tripwire is triggered, leading to the Pokemon often attempting to bite down on a Tempersuer or Ribbishine - both of which being species more than willing to consume an errant Larvader - as much as a Khorusect or Gracehopper - which are far more the regular prey a Larvader is interested in.
The Pokemon's slow movements similarly make it easy to steal prey from for larger species, with Impecki quick to raid a Larvader's hoard if given the opportunity. As for personal defence, in the case that one is wandering the Zonnia Basin without the protection of Pokemon that could easily drive off a Larvader - not recommended - it takes time for the paralytic agent to be effective against humans and one has more than enough time to grasp a wieldable rock or branch and stun the Pokemon by banging against the top of its carapace head. While it should be treated after the fact, thanks to its paralytic agent Larvader's bite does not hurt in the moment.
The Zonnia Region boasts numerous Bug-type Pokemon, allowing for specialists of such to thrive. The final evolution of Larvader, Scornery, is a high-speed Pokemon able to compete with other members of Zonnia's fastest such as Dij'igenesis, Furnacede, and Erupture, thus motivating Trainers to raise it. Larvader raised by Trainers should be given the same opportunities as those in the wild to build storehouses of trussed up food - it is just that the food does not need to be captured alive for this Pokemon as it is in the wild.

reputation: i would say teachers and students feel relaxed around her, because of the comforting aura she emits. she’s a joy to have in class and very attentive during lessons, always eager to learn more. to other students, she’s someone to go to if you need advice or just cheering up in general. it’s fair to say that her looks does not match her quirk, so when they find out about her ability is something so ‘villain-like’, they are skeptical (but as they say, looks can be deceiving).
the quirk !
quirk name: poison manipulation
quirk description: the power to manipulate poison
abilities:
this quirk comes in the form of poison in her bloodstream that she can secrete out and manipulate during fights. because of this, she is, in a way, immune to poison and its effects.
by secreting poison from her pores, she can actually use this as a defensive technique to protect her from any physical fights. in these cases, if anyone tries to attack her, their flesh might start to dissolve the moment it comes into contact with her poison shield, although it takes quite a while.
also, she can utilise the poison generated in small gadgets. in most fights, she would bring empty syringes with her and depending on the scenario, she would fill it using the type of poison that would work best. most of the time, she would use poison that can paralyse.
being able to generate poison includes being able to generate acid. this lethal liquid is corrosive and can be used to dissolve physical items thrown at her or objects around her. this can be used both defensively and offensively (eg. sneaking up on people by dissolving the walls between them).
she can generate poison and use them to attack in the various forms (eg. spikes, bolts, zaps), with varying intensity and properties.
weaknesses:
while she might be immune to poison, hyeran does not have the ability to control the poison from other sources (eg.produced by other people or from living things that contain poison — basically any type of poison not generated by her).
when she overuses her quirk by generating too much poison, her body might no longer have the ability to keep her immune from the effects of the poison itself and she faces the possibility of death from the poison in her bloodstream. (dark, i know)
if the poison she generates is too strong for her, she might feel some of its effects (eg. irritated, slightly paralysed) although she will still remain immune to its lethality.
also, since she is still learning and training, she can sometimes still struggle with generating the exact type of poison she wants and how strong the effects should be. because of this, she has to be extra careful and cautious.
letting go of her emotions would definitely cause chaos. how well she is able to control the poison she generates depends on how confident she feels, the moment she lets her fear of her quirk consume her, it might go out of hand and she might just lose a limb, and that’s if she’s lucky.
even with this quirk, when she uses her syringes to attack, this depends fully on her natural ability and training to throw and aim.
if she is bleeding, this can be hard for others to carry her to safety physically. this is because her blood itself contains poison and coming into contact with the source of all these harmful effects can be deadly.
the history !
triggers: body disfiguration/horror
born in busan, a relatively safe and clean city, you were raised by your mother for a good few years of your life. you were unaware of the world of quirks, considering your mother was quirkless, and as a result she thought you too would be the same. you were the product of a one-night-stand, with a man that she barely remembered the name of but that didn’t matter. for a while, life was peaceful and you were foolish to think that it would remain that way.
you are four when it first happens. your mother picks you up, carrying you outside to tend to her garden, and your palm brushes against her forearm. the next thing you know, you’re dropped to the ground, the sickening sound of sizzling flesh filling your ears, and then you see her cradling her arm, letting out a choked cry. all you remember next is her being wheeled off to the hospital, leaving you staring at your hands, wondering if you had caused all that damage. the next time you reach you to hug her, she instinctively pushes you away. there was no hesitation — you still remember how painful it felt.
two years after that incident, your mother decides that she could no longer stay with you. her fear of you was obvious, not only from her eyes but the way she acted. the two of you were distant, the mark on her skin will forever remind her of what a monster you were. she decides to send you away, to your grandmother’s house, leaving you on the front step at midnight as she says her goodbye, telling you that when she was ready, she would come find you once more. (that would be the last time you see her.) you remained out there the whole night, crying and hugging your knees, terrified of the unfamiliar surroundings. you were only let in after dawn when it’s dawn and your grandmother finds you trembling in fear. she gently takes you by the hand, bringing you into her home. when she learns of your quirk, there’s no hint of terror in her eyes — the one you’re used to seeing. instead, she teaches you how to control it, not to let your emotions consume you and how beautiful your quirk can be. she comforts you by telling you what you want to hear. that you weren’t a monster, that you too could use your quirk to help others. you believed her, setting your goals on making her proud.
the choice to become a hero was a simple one. all you wanted was to prove yourself to the people that doubted you over the years, and you wanted to make your grandmother proud. it took dedication but you followed the training plan your grandmother had set out for you diligently. and it paid off. you finally had basic control over your quirk and was only determined to get even better and better. but for that, you needed to aim higher — you needed to join the renowned u.y academy.
you moved to seoul with your grandmother, after you told her your plans. she remains supportive even after all these years, encouraging you all the way. you show what you are worth during the entrance exams and the next thing you know, you’re accepted. this was where your journey to becoming a hero truly started.
the personality !
hyeran is passionate and bubbly, and while it isn’t ingenuine, there’s a part of her that fakes it a little just so others can trust her and not fear her. she learnt from a young age that her quirk was dangerous and in a sense, she was dangerous, and even after all these years, she’s still a little self-conscious and afraid that people might see her in that sense.
but she can also be very serious and demanding (mainly of herself). she wants to become a hero and she knows that that can only come with hard work and determination. while she knows that there’s a time to let loose and have fun, she also knows that there’s a time to focus and study hard so she can apply what she learns in the future. from having no control from the start to having some decent control now, she knows that sense of accomplishment and is only hungry for more.
she craves for praise and approval, mainly from her seniors and teachers. validation from them gives her the motivation to carry on and she tries to learn as much as possible from them, even if it means pushing herself too far sometimes.
underneath everything, she is quite a cynical person — although she hides it very well. while it’s rare that this sceptical attitude can sneak through during conversation, most of the time it happens when she’s alone after a bad day, where she begins to doubt herself and her abilities. this is because although she’s just in her first year, she puts a lot of pressure on herself.

CREATURES: Shyddise
Available at the Supernatural Menagerie
In basic terms, Shyddise are winged serpents, and they have become quite rare. They are definitely not known by most, especially not humans, but some Supernaturals might have seen or heard of them before.
Variations in appearances, or subspecies, can occur in different locations/habitats but they all share common traits.
Wings: They can have dragon-like wings or feathered wings (ref img here is pretty perf!!) which allow them to be capable of flight. Both types of wings will have bright colours and patterns on the underside, which are revealed when the wings are spread and flared out. These patterns and colours are to attract mates but their primary purpose is to scare off other predators and to intimidate. The dragon-like wings commonly have luminescent patterns/colours. Patterns typically have eye-like shapes. Their wings can be folded up and tucked close to their bodies and will usually be that way most of the time, so sometimes it’s not that obvious they even have wings, and it will be a surprise to see them.
Crest: Regardless of wing type, Shyddise have a crest of feathers on their heads. They are recumbent, they lie flat down the creature’s neck and can be elevated at will (ref img!).  Crests are used to communicate with fellow members of their species, or as a form of defense to frighten away other species that approach too closely, making the Shyddise appear larger when the crest is suddenly and unexpectedly raised. Additionally, the crests act as a ‘radar’ of sorts, helping them pick up on sounds and vibrations. When curious, a Shyddise will raise their crest. Crest colours are usually the same as the body colour, or are the same as the under-wing’s main colour, but the crests can change colour regardless.
Spines/Spikes: Retractable spines or spikes run down the entire length of the Shyddise’s backs (ref img :’) ). They are extremely sharp and can be luminescent. Additionally, the tip of their tail can become a sharp point too.
Camouflage: Shyddise can change their colours to blend into their surroundings. When not actively using this ability, their scales and feathers usually have a dappled appearance of shade variations.
Venom and fangs: Shyddise are extremely venomous and even a small bite or scratch from one of their razor sharp fangs can be lethal. The venom works a little differently on animals than it does ‘humans’ or humanoids. Upon being bitten, a person will feel cold, like ice is spreading through their veins. The violent shaking will start after 5 or so minutes, skin will go paler, lips blue/purple.The body will attempt to heat itself, heart going overtime, aided by the terrifying visions that will start in the 7th or so minute after being bitten. Towards the 9th minute, death occurs. In animals, the venom causes the same chill but it paralyses the victim, trapping them in terror. In both cases, the heart stops. The venom fades after death, leaving no trace.
Ectothermic: Shyddise are Ectotherms, which means their internal physiological sources of heat are of relatively small or have quite negligible importance in controlling body temperature. Colloquially, this is referred to as being “cold blooded.” They rely on external sources to regulate their body temperatures. They are attracted to heat and will “sunbathe”, especially in the early mornings. Due to most of them being warmed by the sunlight as a preferred method, they can be very sluggish at night, especially in colder times.
Eyes: They can vary in colour but are usually red if they Shyddise has draconic wings, and green if they have feathers. They are “snake” eyes with the typical vertical pupil. The eyes will turn completely black when the Shyddise is preparing for an extreme attack. If you are bitten while their eyes are in this state, you will die within 2 minutes as opposed to the nearly 10 of a standard bite. Shyddise are capable of seeing in the dark and using “heat vision” to search out prey and warm spots.
Hoarding: A draconic trait shared by all Shyddise. The habit/instinct develops within the first year of life, and what they choose to hoard can be influenced by their upbringing or area. Some have been known to hoard the typical “shiny treasures” while others will hoard bones or smooth rocks or anything else that catches its interest. Some domesticated Shyddise have been reported to hoard plushies, empty boxes, or socks. A Shyddise usually will have one hoard but a few have been known to have multiple collections. A Shyddise will guard their hoard jealously and will lash out if anyone gets close. However, if a Shyddise bonds with you, it will gift an item from its hoard to you (and you better look after it, the Shyddise will check up).
Intelligence: Shyddise are very intelligent. They can’t speak, but they understand a lot and can be trained, especially if they’re “domesticated.” They can also have some interesting personalities. They are capable of great loyalty.
Size: They begin life quite small but grow to impressive sizes fairly quickly. A fully grown Shyddise (8 years) will typically be as large and long as python or could get to anaconda size. (Python are large and long, anaconda are large and heavy, not so long).
Diet: Like snakes, they swallow all their food whole. In the earlier stages of life, they usually eat insects, mice, birds, eggs, fish, frogs, lizards and small mammals. As they get larger, they are capable of eating larger mammals, even deer and pigs! A Shyddise will bite their prey and inject in venom, this can happen before or after wrapping itself around victim and constricting to crush them.

Sword Art Online: Alicization: War of Underworld (Alicization Awakening) EP#36 (12) - Ray of Light: With 30,000 American players having dived into the Underworld, they begin to relentlessly slaughter everyone from both armies. Asuna, Alice, Bercouli, Renly, and Sheyta work to combat the American players. Vecta spots Alice and commandeers a Dark Knight's dragon and flies towards her. Meanwhile, Iskahn is infuriated with the sight of his guild being mercilessly slaughtered as soon as they finished crawling across the ravine. With the seal in his right eye being triggered, he grabs the eye, rips it out, and destroys it. With a fit a burning rage and determination, he jumps across the ravine. Iskahn makes a deal with Asuna to fight with the humans if she builds a bridge for his guild to cross. As Alice pulls ahead of the rest of the knights, she suddenly finds herself in a dark void and loses consciousness. Vecta's dragon grabs Alice and flies off towards the World's End Altar, with Bercouli giving chase. While the Pugilists and the Dark Knights remain to fight off the Americans, the decoy force pursue after Vecta. Back in the real world, Critter prepares to deploy another 20,000 American players to surround the decoy force. Vassago decides to dive in again on a "special" account. Back in the Underworld, the Americans spawn around the decoy force, with Sinon appearing shortly after and annihilating almost all of them.

Meanwhile, Deku is in One For All training with Toshi talking about using wind pressure with his fingers. Finally, Eri arrives at U.A. with a new set of clothes.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind EP#21 - The Mystery of King Crimson: Back on the boat, Bucciarati's crew wait for their leader while Giorno tracks the boss by following the ladybug. However, Giorno realizes that the group is experiencing erased time, with none of them remembering what had happened in between. Meanwhile, inside the church, Bucciarati lies bleeding from King Crimson's attack. Just as the boss is about to kill Trish, he is suddenly encased within a turtle made by Giorno's Gold Experience that replicates Coco Jumbo's Stand ability. Bucciarati drops the turtle through the floor into an underground stream. However, King Crimson quickly reappears and prepares to attack again, but Bucciarati uses his remaining energy to grab Trish and uses Sticky Fingers to lift them both to the floor above. Giorno finds them and heals Bucciarati; while Bucciarati's body appears to be deceased for a few seconds, he eventually begins moving again. Giorno signals the others, who arrive before King Crimson can reach Giorno and Bucciarati. The boss determines that he cannot fight them all without revealing his identity and decides to withdraw, allowing them to escape with Trish. On the dock, Bucciarati pierces himself on a metal spike but doesn't react in pain, confusing Giorno. Bucciarati explains his decision to protect Trish, and gives his crew the choice of following him or the organization. One by one they join him, with the exception of Fugo. Later, a mysterious person orders Squalo, a member of the boss's elite guard squad, over the phone for Bruno Bucciarati and Giorno Giovanna to be taken dead or alive.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Functional Recovery Training Arc EP#23 - Hashira Meeting: Tanjiro is pinned by Obanai but uses a breathing technique to break the ropes on his wrists and run to Nezuko, Giyū grabbing Obanai so he doesn't interfere. He stops by the porch and calls out to her, knowing he can't interfere directly. Nezuko remembers her family and controls her instincts, looking away from Sanemi. The Master takes that as proof she can be trusted and Sanemi stops, shocked. The Master tells Tanjiro and Nezuko to go out and defeat demons and prove themselves and Tanjiro declares the siblings will defeat Kibutsuji, though the Master gently points out he's so ill-equipped he'd better start with a Twelve Moon, embarrassing him - though the Hashiras warm up to him some, admiring his spirit. Two Kakushi take Nezuko (again in her box) and Tanjiro to the Kocho mansion. Tanjiro tries to come back to headbutt Sanemi for stabbing Nezuko again but Muichirō knocks him down with a well-placed pebble to the head. He is taken away again. As he leaves, the Master tells Tanjiro to give Miss Tamayo his regards, making Tanjiro realize he knows there are good demons. At the Butterfly Manor, the Kakushi look for someone to ask permission to enter and find Kanao, a Tsuguko (a swordsman trained by a Hashira). When they ask permission, she smiles but doesn't speak, confusing them. A Kocho girl interrupts them and escorts them to the infirmary. In it, Zenitsu is whining about the bitter medicine he must take to regrow his limbs, still deformed from the venom. Zenitsu and Tanjiro happily greet each other, and Zenitsu points out Inosuke, silently laying in a bed next to him. Tanjiro is relieved he survived and Inosuke hoarsely says not to worry, his voice damaged from the wounds he was given by Father. He's depressed and apologizes for being so weak. Nezuko is given a room of her own and she only makes it part way out of her box before falling asleep. Tanjiro affirms his promise to turn her into a human. The Hashira, meanwhile, resume their meeting. The demons are in an active phase right now and the Corps needs to recruit new members, and train them, as Mt. Natagumo made it clear the caliber of non-Hashira has plummeted. It's difficult to recruit in this era though as many don't believe demons exist and the more humans there are, the less unified they become. Only those who have lost loved ones to demons or those descendant from demon slayers are joining the Corps. The Master believes Rui's drastic actions confirm Kibutsuji is nowhere nearby as whenever the progenitor wants to hide something, he creates a diversion somewhere else that can't be ignored. After everyone leaves, the Master vows they will bring Kibutsuji down without fail.
Food Wars: The Second Plate Stagiaire Arc EP#36 - The Magician Returns: The next step of the Stagiaire reunites Soma with Shinomiya, who is opening a Tokyo branch of his French restaurant, Shino's. As the restaurant begins its first pre-open day, Soma witnesses firsthand the intensity of working in Shinomiya's kitchen and struggles to keep up with the rest of the staff. Thinking over his failures, Soma spends the rest of the week getting prep work done early so he can ask the other staff members for advice on how to become more efficient in the kitchen and learn new techniques. On the final day, Soma decides to enter a competition to create a dish for Shino's menu that he can call his specialty.
Black Clover: Elf Tribe Reincarnation Arc EP#112 - Humans Who Can Be Trusted: Reve prevents the exit doors from opening with chains. Luck suggests making Reve defeat herself by creating a doll that resembles Reve's human body, tricking her into thinking about and summoning a non-possessed version of Captain Dorothy Unsworth. Dorothy, who is normally asleep, turns out to be hyperactively cheerful within the Dream World. Meanwhile Asta finds it impossible to attack Droit while avoiding his lasers and Eclat's paralysing eyes. Henry throws himself at Droit and Eclat, draining their magic while sacrificing himself. Asta urges him to live and Henry realises he wants to live. He is saved by his friends while Asta manages to attack Droit. Droit recalls that when the elves were being murdered human royals used a magic item to steal their magic for themselves, and yet he realises Asta and the Bulls are nothing like the ancient humans and decides to allow Asta to nullify his and Eclat's reincarnations. As Gauche awakes he berates the Bulls for risking themselves for him when he only ever cared about Marie and not them, though the Bulls insist they consider him a friend anyway. Reve's Dream World begins to collapse from the magic of Reve and Dorothy colliding inside it. Dorothy disappears but urges Reve to consider that good humans exist, especially the Bulls. As the Dream World collapses, everyone reappears in the normal world and Asta nullifies Reve's reincarnation. With all the Bulls back together, Asta declares it is time to find Captain Yami.

migapsus, commonly called a gliding gecko, they are gliding frugivorous and folivorous gecko like reptiles, they have small semisticky pads which help them climb up trees stably, they usually eat the leaves in the canopy or go down to the forest floor and eats the fruit that grows there, they mainly glide between the branches of the canopy to eat more of the leaves, though they usually come in conflict with arbuits, they use their venomous tail spike in defense which will completely paralyse the attacker and make them go limp, which if very dangerous in a canopy where if one fall could mean death, and if the fall doesnt kill them a potential predator lurking around the forest floor will, they spend all of their early life in the canopy with the parent that laid the egg and watched over them when theyre hatching, they usually keep them in small abandoned holes that crawling felines dig out into trees for recovering from their lost claws, though if theyre desperate enough they will kill a crawling feline if its currently in its hole, if you have any questions about this animal please dont be afraid to ask

“Don’t touch me!” “I didn’t.” for Amren and Elain
Thank you so much for the prompt! This was so much fun to write! I’ve never written Elren before or even thought about doing it so I hope you like it!  I actually had a vaguely different idea from what I wrote but my mind as always took a detour. I even wanted to write more even though it’s over 2000 words but I’m still pretty content with what I’ve written. But again, thank you so much! I loved it!
Elain watched as Amren slammed her hand down on the dashboard as she turned the key in the ignition. The car didn’t make a sound. There was no rumble, no roar, no indication that it would start anytime soon. Her girlfriend swore creatively under her breath and Elain placed a hand on her shoulder to soothe her.
“ It’s okay, Amren,” she said gently and all she met were upset gray eyes.
“ No, it’s not, Elain,” she insisted. “ We’re stuck in the middle of nowhere with a broken down car and not to mention, it’s going to start raining soon. There’s no signal and it’s late at night with a low chance of a car passing by. You can’t possibly tell me it’s okay.” Amren’s face crumpled slightly and Elain kissed her temple.
“ Deep breaths, love. We’ll be okay,” she said as her hand moved to cup her face. Elain watched as her girlfriend closed her eyes and took several deep breaths before opening them again.
“ This was supposed to fun for you,” Amren murmured, leaning into her hand. They were on a roadtrip to a grand flower and garden show. Elain had been talking about it ever since she’d heard about it and a couple weeks later, Amren had surprised her with tickets. And now, here they were, stuck between towns with the nearest one being several miles away.
“ It still can be,” Elain said with a small smile and leaned down to kiss her softly. She pulled back and got out of the car, Amren doing the same. Elain wouldn’t allow her heart to sink for her girlfriend’s sake. Amren would be wrecking herself with guilt for days if she showed any dislike for any part of the roadtrip.
“ There’s an old house close by,” Amren muttered and she followed her line of sight. It was opposite the road and not too far away, making Elain wonder how she had missed it the first time. The house definitely looked old but not ruined. There were large windows everywhere and the entranceway itself looked grand with double doors and a large canopy. Elain could make out the hint of a tower peeking out from beside the house and trees of the same height surrounding it. The perfect gothic Victorian house, Elain thought.
“ We could go there and see if there’s anyone there willing to help,” she muttered absent-mindedly. Amren’s head snapped up to her immediately.
“ That’s a terrible idea,” she stated plainly. “ You don’t know who might be in there. If there’s anyone in there.”
“ It’s better than being stuck here in a car that doesn’t work and we’re both too tired to walk to the nearest town. We can see if there’s anyone in there and if there isn’t anyone in there, we’ll stay the night and walk tomorrow,” Elain said calmly .
“ And what are we going to do if there is someone in there?” she asked back, clearly against the idea.
“ We ask if we can stay the night and leave tomorrow. We’ve got money if they want us to pay rent.”
Amren grumbled at her and said, “ If we get killed….”
“ We won’t get killed, Amren,” she said as they walked towards the house. “ That only happens in the movies.”
“ And in the news. They’re also in the news,” she retorted. Elain stayed silent but grabbed Amren’s hand as they approached the front door and the bronze knocker, which vaguely resembled a small head.
The two exchanged a look before Elain knocked on the door. They waited in quiet silence and when no one responded after a minute, Amren tried the doorknob, finding the door strangely unlocked.
“ I have a bad feeling about this,” the shorter woman murmured and Elain didn’t want to admit it but she did too.
Still, both of them went deeper into what looked like the entrance and they gravitated to the walls, looking for a switch. As they kept their hands on the walls, she observed what looked like several doors on either sides of the room and the surprisingly cleanliness of the place as if someone had been tending to the cares of the house. Elain then heard several clicks and then Amren’s quiet swearing.
“ Lights won’t turn on,” she grumbled and sighed. Elain tried to look at what they had with the moonlight in the room and went to the stairs at the side. “ What are you doing?” Amren whispered at her, worry clear in her voice.
“ Getting a better view,” she hissed back and climbed the stairs. Before she could reach the top, she felt something brush her arm. Elain swatted at it, thinking it was just Amren. When she reached the top landing, she felt a tug on her shoulder and she turned around and whispered, “ Don’t touch me!” Her eyes widened when she saw Amren down at the bottom of the stairs only looking at her in confusion.
“ I didn’t,” came the response from her.
“ Then who was…” Elain trailed off when the wind began howling and the shadows began moving. Amren was instantly at her side at a speed that Elain didn’t think was possible. Before, she could think about it any further, the shadows slithered past her and pooled in the center of the landing. Oh dear god. What had she gotten them into?
The shadows rose and climbed over each other and Elain felt Amren linking her hand with hers but her eyes couldn’t move from the shadows that vaguely resembled a masculine figure. Then, a wave of something washed through her, almost knocking her back but it wall forgotten when a man did indeed emerge from the darkness. Both their breaths caught. Whether out of shock or something else, Elain wasn’t sure.
The man was beautiful. There was no other way to describe him. He had bright gold eyes that seemed to illuminate their own glow and hair that seemed to have shadows lingering around them. His skin was almost as pale as the moonlight that streamed through the windows and as he grinned, Elain saw the glimpse of fangs. The clothes he wore looked like something out of an ancient and forgotten time but there was a gold trim to whatever it was, accenting his shining eyes. Who was he?
With a wave of his hands, the shadows disappeared and with a click of his fingers, all the lights in the house turned on. Elain didn’t have the chance to admire the large chandelier or the exquisite paintings hanging on the wall as the unnatural being hissed, truly hissed, “ You’re on my territory.” Elain gave a slight gasp and the whatever-he-was fixed his gaze on her, his head tilting in such a way that made her feel like prey and him the predator.
“ We’ll leave. Now, in fact,” Amren said immediately with a hurriedness that Elain hadn’t heard before. The grip on her hand tightened and before either of them could take a step, the man clicked his fingers again. Instantly, the air around them hardened and Elain found everything below her neck paralysed and held in place. By the growls that came from beside her, the same had happened to Amren.
“ Do you know what happens to people who trespass in my territory?” He snarled as he took a few steps closer. Shadows seemed to gather around him once again as if they were triggered by his emotions. “ They become a delicious meal,” he said finally and then licked his lips before grinning maliciously, “ My delicious meal.” Elain opened her mouth to say something. To do something. But Amren beat her to it.
“ Leave us, Nahum,” Amren hissed at him. And just like that, Elain’s world turned upside down. She turned her head to look at the shorter woman with wide eyes and parted lips.
A dark laugh came from the man before he said, “ Well, well, well.” One moment he was there, a few feet away from them and then the next, he was right in front of Amren, who didn’t seem fazed at all. “ I almost didn’t recognise you with that ridiculous disguise.”
“ Disguise?” Elain breathed, her voice a mere whisper. What disguise?
The man’s head snapped to hers and looked her up and down and then said, “ You haven’t told her?” He stepped back to release another dark laugh.
“ I was planning to do it,” Amren snarled at him before turning to her with large pleading eyes. “ I was going to tell you right after we got back home, Elain. I swear.”
“ I hadn’t believed the rumors, you know. That the famed Lieutenant of the mighty Death Goddess had fallen in love with some plain mortal,” he said and shook his head as if he couldn’t believe it.
“ Lieutenant?” She asked and all Elain could hear was the howling in her head. Of a Death Goddess, an unknown voice whispered in her head. If she could have, she would have stepped back from Amren.
“ Elain,” Amren whispered to her, a million emotions swirling in those grey eyes. “ I’m sorry. This isn’t how I imagined for this to go.”
“ I might drink her,” he murmured as he stepped up to Elain and his hand came to grip her chin. He tilted her head up and to the side, “ Just to get back at you.” She felt his hair brush against her cheek and his breath like a whisper of death against his neck as he leaned down to do just what he said.
Suddenly, he was blasted back against the wall farthest away from the two. His limbs were splayed out and some invisible force was keeping him there. He hissed and snarled a them and for one moment, his form twisted and changed into a true monster of darkness with venom dripping off his fangs, the beginnings of spikes on his arms and his gold eyes still fixated on them. “ I’m going to kill you,” he snarled viciously. A promise made from the broken creature. When he changed back, the invisible hold on them both vanished.
“ Don’t you dare ever touch her again,” Amren snarled from beside her and Elain realised this woman was the reason the man was pinned to the wall. Her gaze trailed downwards to find claws instead of hands on Amren. Black sharpened claws were where her hands once used to be and Elain wished that she was afraid. Wished that she would be afraid enough to call this whoever-she-was a monster.
“ What are you?” Elain breathed, afraid to know the answer.
Amren turned to face her and she didn’t flinch away when those talons came to hold her face. She wouldn’t flinch away. Not when they held her face so gently. Not when the eyes that had now turned silver were begging for understanding. Not when the thing had told her Amren loved her. “ I didn’t mean for any of this to happen. I wish I could go back in time to fix all of this,” she said with a raw voice that usually meant she was near tears.
Both of them looked away when the man roared at them. Roared at them. Elain shrunk away from him and when she looked back at Amren, her eyes had turned into molten silver and the pupils resembling a snake’s. Elain somehow knew fangs were hidden behind those lips. Amren’s skin was changing colour and bumps that would eventually turn into spikes were growing on her skin. They both heard the cracking of wood and they knew they didn’t have much time to spare.
“ I wish…” Amren trailed off, unable to string her emotions into words.
“ I know,” she returned. Even though Elain’s very own soul was shaking from everything that had been revealed, she could see the truth shining in her girlfriend’s eyes.
Another roar was released from the man and the house trembled underneath it’s power. Amren looked at Elain with eyes filled with everything they hadn’t said as she gripped her shoulders and said urgently, “ Run. Get away from here. Now.”
With that, Elain down the stairs and before leaving the house, she turned around to see a silver roaring beast where Amren used to be. It was twice the size of Elain with its head brushing against the ceiling and it closely resembled what she had seen from Nahum. The creature turned its head to face her and looked at her as if to say, It’s still me. Then, Elain ran out and into the car, ignoring all the small trinkets littered about that only reminded her of Amren. Of the beast she had left behind in the house. The beast that was now saving her life.
A true miracle occurred when the engine came to life the moment Elain turned the key. She slammed her foot down on the accelerator and released a shuddering sob when she heard the faint sounds of crashes and primal roars as she drove away. She tried to ignore the tears now streaming down her face. She tried to ignore the thoughts that were forming a hurricane in her mind. She tried to ignore the distinct feeling of her soul shattering and ripping apart into pieces. But she couldn’t. Not when the world around her was crumbling.

The evolution of insect stingers
Male bees and wasps do not sting. Only females have a stinger, on organ evolved from an ovipositor, an egg-laying organ. Stingers are used to perform a number of functions including defense, attack, food procurement, injecting venom for the purposes of paralysing or controlling its prey, and cutting.
Primitive wasps, such as sawflies including woodwasps, use their serrated ovipositor to saw into plant tissue and insert their eggs into plants. Some species of sawflies also use venom – Sirex woodwasp (aka Sirex noctilio) lays eggs in tunnels that it bores into pine sapwood, and in an adjacent tunnel it injects a phytotoxic mucus along with a white rot fungus, which stress and eventually kill susceptible trees. The mucus and fungus condition the wood for the hatched larvae to feed on.

Glands associated with the ovipositor have evolved in parasitic wasp species to produce venom that makes it easier to procure food, by making its prey easier to manage or allowing it to preserve food. Some wasps, such as mud daubers, use venom to paralyse their prey. A female mud dauber leaves several paralysed insects or spiders with its eggs, which the offspring feed on when they emerge from the egg. Similarly, jewel wasps inject a mind-controlling neurotoxic venom into the head of its cockroach prey. The “zombie” cockroach is then led to a chamber where the wasp lays an egg on it and seals both into the chamber. When the larvae hatches, it feeds on the roach. By paralysing the prey rather than killing it outright, it is preserved as a food source.

More recently, the ovipositor evolved to a stinger which, along with the venom, is used for defense. Most bees use pollen as a food source, so don’t require a stinger for food procurement.  Male wasps do not have stingers, but some do have spikes at the end of their abdomen which they can use to jab their enemies, but it does not inject venom. Otherwise, male wasps can’t defend themselves directly, however, since they look very similar to female wasps, they are protected to some degree.
