DC x DP Prompt *3*
! TW GORE !
The members of the Justice League Dark have seen many things. But nothing was so dangerous and stupid at the same time, as these laws.
Constantin was the first to hear about them. While he was dealing with more supernatural threats than normal over the last two month. After the last five being he banished - who all have screeched about white monsters who stole him -, he couldn't ignore the pattern.
He didn't get an exact answer, to who this him was, but Zatanna and Captain Marvel also heard some rumors.
After some time, they found out about the Ghost Investigation Ward and... if they didn't do something quickly there would be war. And a war with the dead would be a losing war.
Who ever they took seems to be important to the realm, so they could possibly retaliate any moment.
So while Zatanna, Superman, Aquaman and Green Arrow where discussing these laws with the president, the rest of the Justice League would summon the Ghost King to offer negotiations.
All the magicians had felt when the tyrant Pariah Dark had been dethroned. And it had been like there was fresh air for the very first time. The new king was rumored to be kind and fair, but also fiercely protective. So hopefully he would be open to talk.
They even used a form of summoning that was more of an invitation, so that he could choose not to speak to them. It wouldn't be good to further anger the realms or their king.
While they tried to summon the High King of all the realms, the gentle Tug that they sent his way was answered with a desperate hold.
It was hard to hold the spell with the being clawing metaphorically at the line. But after a far to long time the pressure eased and a rift in reality opened.
A body landed with a dull thud in the middle of the summoning circle.
Everyone in the room has seen something horrific, but even someone as stoic as the bat, seemed to be sick.
In the middle of the watchtower laid a boy, maybe sixteen. His right eye was lifeless, despite the fact that he was looking around. The other one was missing and the eyesocket was bleeding sluggishly in green. His white hair had flecks of green in it. The right hand seemed to be broken, but more concerning was his left hand. Half of his pinkie finger was missing, as was the entirety of his middle finger. The rest of his fingers were without nails. And then there was his left foot... only attached by a thin strap of flesh and muscle. But all of that was nothing in comparison with the Y-shaped wound in his torso.
All of it was so distracting that they at first all missed the crown of ice above his head. The realms had screamed at them to get their king back.
As fast as they could the heros rushed the boy king into the medbay. At least Flash was here, so that they could get everything ready asap.
And Danny?
Danny was finally able to close his eye and drift into unconscious without white, orange or teal suits hovering over him.

i love makoto so much but fanon does her so much better (the good parts of the fandom) because in the game her character is so lack luster. they butchered her confidant it is so borning and not even about her. they made her a cop. A COP. they pushed this "canon waifu" role onto her (before sumire came along and did it Even Worse). and it SUCKS because SHE IS SO MUCH MORE!!! SHE IS SO MUCH BETTER!!!! SHE COULD'VE BEEN SO MUCH BETTER!!! the way i feel about canon makoto is the same way i feel about the canon ryuji events post komoshida where he's horribly mistreated and used purely as comic relief: i ignore them <3 my game now <3 never happened <3 my ocs <3
You are so right. I generally apply this to all characters in p5 bc the game does such a shit job of staying consistent with character arcs and personalities. Theres a desperate need to throw in perverse jokes at the expense of female characters and a need to show that the police (as a whole) are reliable people who are not influenced by things like money and power; only the BAD cops do that. Not to mention this obvious fatphobia and homophobia but i feel likes thats a given.
But back to Makoto. Shes a victim of bad writing just like everyone else. Ryuji during the kamoshida arc was fighting with self loathing and genuine anxiety, and aside from the like. One comment on Panthers outfit in the metaverse, hes more than well behaved. All of that is shelved as soon as Kamoshida is gone and replaced with him being weird comic relief (and the focus of alot of sexual jokes that were nonexistent in the beginning of the game). Anns arc about self love and empowerment is completely dropped as soon as the nasty bad guy is put away (so that its good to be weird about her w the Good Guys). Makoto loses her a chunk of her personality to be the mature waifu which is INSANE to me bc shes like. Not okay or normal at all 😭😭😭 she THINKS shes responsible and so does everyone else on her team, but its an act! She doesnt know shit! And she doesnt know that she doesnt know shit bc shes respectful and adults dont care about anything as long as u respect them!
Its very telling that for literally every single thief (and goro), you can see the exact moment the writers gave up on adding anything of worth to their characters outside of the social links. Its like they didnt know what to even do w the characters at their disposal after their main arcs were complete. No mention of friends hanging out without you, no mention of having group hangouts. Everyone is treated as a core, important member of the friend group DURING their arc, but outside of it, they are acquaintances at best. Theres nothing in the game that convinces you that these guys are legitimately friends who care for each other and do Friend Things. And i describe it like that bc there IS a game that treats them all as friends, and its strikers! Strikers/Scramble genuinely feels like the game p5 wanted to be; a road trip w your team where they stay up at night talking to each other and hanging out and doing things together that dont necessarily include you, the player. Its refreshing and lovely but it sucks that u get that kind of attention to detail in a ‘spinoff’ title

Why I kinda can imagine how Ollie's mama was dealing with lil Ollie's tantrums (if he had), like by simply grabbing his leg and throwing him over her shoulder like sack full of potatoes and not giving shit and continuing doing her stuff. And she'd do that even to big Ollie, like...
Just some mama and son bonding moments.
gODD thought abt this all day at work so i had to scribble it real quick😭
but yeah even tho he was overall an easy baby, he inevitably had tantrums and meltdowns in which his momma had NONE of 😂im sure she utilized a beast's scapula into her tool belt to whoop his lil ass with PPFFT bonus her using a vertebrae from her hunts as makeshift pacifiers

Honestly whilst I do agree the meet-up vlog was not the right video to use and George shouldn’t take all of the criticisms so that he can still have his own unique style that we already love, I do think some of the advice given was genuinely good and George agreed with a lot of them.
I don’t agree with cutting out some of emotional parts purely to keep retention because that’s not what this video is about, but some of the ideas were genuinely good and George can use them in future videos where retention is what he’s aiming for. For example the fade-out of ‘Mask’ to him driving through the gate was a great idea and I liked that it made everything more cohesive.
I personally love the meet-up vlog so much and would not change anything about it, but there’s no need to be rude to Hillier. I don’t know much about him but he had some genuinely good ideas that he gave in a respectful way. He enjoyed the parts where George seemed genuinely excited and understood how big of a moment this was for him. In no way did he say to tone down how important this was to George, if anything he was telling him to emphasise it.
George wouldn’t have gone on the video in the first place if he wasn’t okay with having the video critiqued, this wasn’t an out of the blue bullying moment where this random guy started giving him unwarranted advice: he asked for it. And also we got to see a side of him that shows that he genuinely cares about the content he creates through it which is also a positive
