DebonairHeads Tony Soprano ‘Tonygotchi’
Known for making real fake stuff, DebonairHeads has created a Tony Soprano themed Tamagotchi. Tony Soprano is a fictional character from the hit HBO series The Sopranos which aired from 1999-2007.
Tonygotchi is a surprisingly real virtual pet where you can raise Tony Soprano himself. You can feed Tony ‘gabagool’ (capicola, an Italian dried meat), play the therapy game, and care for Tony! It features an LCD screen, three buttons, and is shaped after Tony Soprano himself, but on a keychain that also acts as his necklace.
The Tonygotchi is already sold out, and was listed for $750 USD. No word on if there will be a future restock as there were only five created. Shipping takes 4-6 weeks. This product is in no way affiliated with Bandai.

SAD NEWS: Tony Sirico, the actor known for his role as Peter Paul "Paulie Walnuts" Gualtieri on "The Sopranos," has died at the age of 79. The news was shared by his Sopranos co-star Michael Imperioli on his Instagram page. "It pains me to say that my dear friend, colleague and partner in crime, the great TONY SIRICO has passed away today. Tony was like no one else: he was as tough, as loyal and as big hearted as anyone i've ever known. I was at his side through so much: through good times and bad. But mostly good. And we had a lot of laughs," Imperioli wrote. "We found a groove as Christopher and Paulie and I am proud to say I did a lot of my best and most fun work with my dear pal Tony," Imperioli's post continued. "I will miss him forever. He is truly irreplaceable. I send love to his family, friends and his many many fans. He was beloved and will never be forgotten. Heartbroken today." Fr. Robert Sirico, Tony's brother, confirmed his death in a Facebook post. Tony Sirico left behind two children, Joanne Sirico Bello and Richard Sirico, "grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and many other relatives," according to his brother. "The family is deeply grateful for the many expressions of love, prayer and condolences and requests that the public respect its privacy in this time of bereavement," Robert Sirico wrote. Sirico appeared in each season of "The Sopranos," playing a loyal mobster to Tony Soprano. Sirico played the wisecracking confidant during the show's entire run from 1999 to 2007. The character became a fan favorite for his wisecracks and trademark hairdo. Sirico also appeared in the mob film "Goodfellas." Following the end of "The Sopranos," Sirico continued to act and guest star on other shows, including a mini-arc on the animated sitcom "Family Guy" where he portrayed talking dog, Vinny. Up Your Geek extends its condolences to Sirico’s family, friends, colleagues and fans. #peaceinparadise #rip #TonySirico #Actor #RIPTonySirico #Paulie #TheSopranos https://www.instagram.com/p/Cfxl3VhLZVT/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

After Batgirl, Is House of the Dragon Safe?
Warner Bros. Discovery's decision to cancel the production of Batgirl mid production shocked comic book fans and Wall Street investors.
With WarnerMedia in the hands of new owners, cutting expenses has become the priority.
At nearly $20 million an episode, can House of the Dragon survive a slow start under Warner Bros. Discovery?
Why was the Batgirl movie canceled? The answer to that question is AT&T ($T), and their grand, but bad plan. What was AT&T’s plan?

Movie Economics
Movie economics requires a film to bring in three times the advertised budget in order for the film to make a profit for the studio. This means that Batgirl - which had already hit $90 million in production costs - would have needed to make $270 million for the film to make a profit, and that’s if $90 million was the final number needed to finish the film. In the current state of live action comic book consumption, $270 million doesn’t seem like a tough number to get to.

But What About House of the Dragon
The surprise from the Batgirl news leads me to wonder, what will House of the Dragon be like? Whose vision will the show be made in? And how long will it stick around? In HBO’s heyday, when the network was producing top tier content like The Wire, The Sopranos, Sex in The City, Rome, True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, and Game of Thrones, Richard Plepler was the head of HBO. Plepler left HBO after Time Warner was acquired by AT&T. All guesses point to Plepler not wanting to be a part of the make HBO into Netflix experiment.

It’s very rare to have comic book fans and Wall Street focused on the same thing at the same time, but last week’s news did just that. The move by Warner Bros Discovery to scrap the Batgirl film after investing $90 million had comic book fans and Wall Street asking, WTF? But the issue at hand was created by AT&T, who had no clue how to run a media company, when they purchased a media company to make a streaming service. AT&T made a big mess of the Warner Bros assets, and now the team at Warner Bros Discovery has been tasked with cleaning up that mess.
What’s the Outlook for Warner Bros. Discovery stock?

BAM! Whacked! Gobsmacked! I knew I loved Johnny Sack, the wife-devoted, chain-smoking, cold-blooded killer, I was unprepared to fall in love with Vincent Curatola. It was one thing that on a recent Sopranos re-binge this 38 yr non-smoking woman was jonesing for a cigarette watching Johnny Sack make love to his, it was another witnessing Vince adoring Maureen, his wife of 40 yrs, just as Johnny Sack did Ginny. Lovely!
Such great fun to do a Soprano’s deep dive, from early casting, (Tony Sirico), to Vince’s audition, James Gandolfini, Vincent Pastore, Michael Imperioli, to David Chase’s on-set style, how characters knew they were getting whacked, onscreen relationships vs off, actual wise guys impressions, Vince’s thoughts on whether Silvio really whacked Adriana, Vince’s shocking role model for Johnny Sack, how the cast, who watched the ending for the first time when we all did, react?
There are great stories about Jack Nicholson, Kirk Douglas, Maureen O’Hara, and Brad Pitt. This was a spectacular conversation with a fascinating man, an amazing actor, who shared his thoughts on how to succeed in the business of life and show. An international acting coach via Zoom, a naturalist, whose less is so much more, shared some exercises in getting real, which I plan to utilize. You can sign up on his Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/VincentCuratolaActingWorkshop
I’ve long adored Johnny Sack, I now add Vincent Curatola to my adoration. This is one not to be missed.
