#i have a lot of painful and nuanced emotions about the very recent news#there's something sickening and terrifying when you've felt an affinity for an individual's public performance of identity#even knowing that it's parasocial and that you don't know that person irl#and then finding out this person in whom you saw aspects of yourself that perhaps even helped you feel more confident and comfortable#was capable of this kind of cruelty .. or they were taken from the world without real warning ..#you are allowed to grieve the people you lose .. both the literal and metaphorical#the dynamics of parasocial relationships are weird and messy and sometimes unhealthy on both sides#but this betrayal kills the person you hoped they were and you're allowed to grieve that while disliking who they have been shown to be#also not the place i know but dream has cleared his name several times over shut the fuck up and stop mindlessly parroting lies about him#shut ur pretty mouth
