I'm so happy to hear this news!! The Northman will be released next year in Japan!!!! Amleth is one of my favorite Alex roles. When I knew making a Viking movie is Alex's dream from his childhood, I was so impressed. I read and watched a lot of interviews about it in English. My English is not perfect, but I tried to understand so hard how this movie was made and what Alex and Robert Eggers aimed to. And I understood Alex's strong passion and desire. He said in the interview (YouTube: The Northman - Alexander Skarsgård on finding the 'inner beast' for his visceral new film), "I wanted it to be big and epic and entertaining, but it had to be historically accurate." It's not easy. But Alex, Robert, Anya, the other amazing casts and all the crew did a great job. I've rewatched it many times since I got the Blu-ray in July. Amleth is an amazing character and The Northman is extraordinarily beautiful and wonderful movie!!

- An inciting act of violence - Time passes - A representative of that violence returns, seeking revenge - he picks off ppl gradually, in elaborate ways to incite fear - the victims get gradually closer and closer to the instigator of the original violent action - culminates in final showdown with either the original perpetrator or someone who represents / is associated with them

The Northman (2022) Director: Robert Eggers Simply a beautiful movie. gorgeous landscapes and cinematography. there were lulls around the middle of the film that hurt it for me, but the beginning and the climax were engaging and exciting. Casting for this film was well done, all the actors did great jobs and there were no weak performances. I do wish that we saw more of Willem Dafoe's character but that is a personal grip.
