👏YEAR REVIEW 2018👏

👏YEAR REVIEW! 👏

Been doing this for years, still doing it!

To me, 2018 felt like the sun after the rain.

Last year, I was in a prep school for art schools. I started to do something I enjoyed but it still wasn't there.

Well, this year I nailed two entrance exams including the one school I wanted to be in the most! ;v;

And I was right to pick up this one 'cause the town where it's located is so peaceful (and not boring) and there's an awesome vibe going on in this school!

The teachers are really nice, helpful and they seem to highly encourage teamwork. And boi, in all the group projects I was since the beginning of this year (which I lost count), all of them really felt like teamwork! (I had really bad experiences with group projects these past years...). So, even my classmates are awesome!

I even made awesome friends there, two of them being Iarukalb-Vespertilio and LitanaYasha (Please, go check out their stuffs! Especially Iaru. They deserve more attention. :b)

Finally, I don't feel left out... All of these years of bullshit were actually worth it. ;V;

Being in a school that's not in my hometown, this is also the first time I'm living by myself in an apartment. There was some anxiety at first but then being independent feels nice. ^^

So... That was the biggest thing that happened to me this year. Now what about my art?

I think I'm doing some progress at being productive. This year, I participated in Art Fight for the first time. I'll definitely do it again! Being someone who likes drawing characters, it was a lot of fun. And I even got fanart from strangers! X) Sadly, I couldn't do a lot since I wasn't home during most of July. But I still think I did a lot in a few days. ovo

I FINALLY DID OFFTOBER! It was a promess I did in 2017 and I did it!!! PEARL POINT! [Insert pearl point here]

Oh yeah, also, for a school project, I STARTED WORKING ON A GAME! \o/ I'm using a program called Construct 2. It's really easy to use and it's free! (unless you want the "full" version but you still can do a lot on the free version). Can't wait to finish it and show it to you guys!

As for my stories... Still not done with Anti-Savior... oTL But I started to feel more comfortable with my writting recently so hopefully I'll get a boost.

Speaking of boost, I've done a lot of progress on rewritting my fairycat species (and the world they live in.). Hopefully, I'll release a new guide next year. ^^

And I just found out I reached 200 followers! Thank you guys so much! It really means a lot! <3

TIME TO GET BACK TO SAILOR MOON WHICH HAS THE ADVANTAGE OF 1) BEING FULLY DOWNLOADED AND 2) NOT, IN FACT, BEING PORN

so oh hey I know this episode!!! it's the one with animator friends and Castor&Pollux!!! the last time Nephrite actually tried to collect energy if I'm not mistaken

just... leave it to Jadeite dude why did Beryl even have to punish him? he was competent in his niche. just pair him with Nephrite and they could do a decent job together but nope that's why bad guys are bad guys i guess they are also literally bad at what they do I like this idea bc it goes with the whole principle that the OPTIMAL path is always the one that doesn't actually involve violence and evil, and if you're doing it, you suck at achieving your goals efficiently period fatal flaw and all that empathy is utilitarian

AWW SAILOR V omfg Usagi <3 this is also a barely-any-fourth-wall-anime also Luna shut up why do you have to take EVERY SINGLE opportunity to bring Usagi down

ah yes the sexist director omfg jfc

but yeah that line of the leg does look a lil wonky to me

ah and that's the involvement premise <3 and for once it's Ami who stumbles upon things and not Usagi there sure is a lot of convenient coincidence connecting the senshi to the targets XD ...I wonder if, like Miraculous Ladybug, it's meant to be implied that there were more incidents we didn't see? probably not

ah hey the start of Ami vs Nephrite that Jet Wolf loves so

these friends love each other's work so much

they are great I love them

omfg and he was planning to get the senshi there anyway I guess his task's priority has already gone from getting energy to getting rid of the senshi huh like they can always gather energy when the senshi are gone

and ehehe Usagi's scolding Ami for going alone and the subtext isn't even "do you think I'm useless" but "do you think you're alone?!" because Usagi is a wonderful creature who sees right through Ami's loneliness

omfg and of course there's the IT'S THE PLACE OF SAILOR V ANIME THING I still hold on to my opinion that Usagi's first goal here is to cheer up Ami and nerding out is secondary. she just like ridiculous friends everywhere prefers to hide her love behind reason bc insecure bc EVERYONE BULLIES USAGI

Usagi is a great and wonderful nerd I love her

I love Kazuko seeing how Very Not Okay her friend is <3

REI JFC YOU ARE BAD AT PRETENDING TO NOT BE A DORK SO FUCKING BAD

JFC REI'S OUTFIT OMG AND HER BAG

ah yes Rei's surely existing numerous friends Usagi's the only one of them with existing social life outside of the group huh

Nephrite's looking at his drink when Zoicite shows up like 'when will he fuck off already'

Rei Usagi please pay more attention to people's comfort and volume of your voices

also the correct way to praise their work is to praise THEIR WORK and not just the character f y i

omg this visual of the director over the phone is amazing

so uh is this the kind of board driven show where animators actualy function also as writers i'm pretty sure they still don't have creative freedom to kill off the protagonist tho -_-

this monster is VERY SUBTLE huh

GIRLS JUST TRANSFORM ALREADY FAINTING IS NOT HEALTHY YOU CAN'T JUST COUNT ON EVERYONE DOING IT EVERY TIME USAGI HAS ALREADY TRANSFORMED IN FRONT OF A PERSON

but yeah of course she faints

and there's no hestitation or fear in Usagi now she can keep up (since she came with ample warning she'd have to fight)

man the monsters sure suck at teamwork even though Nephrite knows it's the key

I love the faces when the senshi are dodging the twins' attack Usagi is just regular freaked out, Rei is dynamic and angry, Ami is calm and focused

I love that the girls didn't even do anything to break them up they just fought on their own ah siblings

and I love that the girls are good enough at teamwork by now that they don't have to discuss what they're going to be doing now they just now

OMFG BACKGROUND MUSIC WITH LYRICS I DON'T EVEN KNOW THIS SONG BUT IT'S SO GREAT

and yes!!! the friends making up scene!!! (the sibling demons would have made up too had the senshi not killed them I bet)

THE ENTIRE STUDIO WATCHING I LOVE THEM
