You know, a common anti-Gwynriel argument is that Azriel and Gwyn have known each other "for years" but they were not friends (according to Azriel's inner dialogue in the bonus chapter, which took place earlier in ACOSF) so Azriel supposedly didn't care about her. But Gwyn had literally been in the library for two years and had never left it until Nesta came? The same library that acts as a safe haven for the traumatized priestesses so that males like Azriel can't enter without permission?? Where, when and why would they have even gotten the chance to interact with each other??

It's so bafflingly obvious to me that Gwyn and Azriel only really started interacting in ACOSF that I wonder how others don't see it. I really don't. Or maybe people really do see what they want to see -- and only that.

And yes, Azriel cares soooooo little about Gwyn that his "shadows deepened" and "his siphons gleam[ed] like cobalt fire" and he stuttered for the first time in the series at the mention of her being in danger.

Yep. Clearly he doesn't care about her. Like, at all.

After reading acosf is there a chance that elucien ends up together?

mmm this is a really good question. My problem with elriel is that the mating bond was always there. I thought it was complicated enough but maybe she will reject it. Gwyn being added to the equation makes me think the love triangle is kind of dismissed. I feel like elain doesn’t want the mating bond because she felt forced to it and she was mourning grayson. In my mind the mating bond is kind of pointless. Just because the universe links you to someone does that mean you have to be with that person? and the universe never, never FAILS?. I thought sarah would create something different but she is too fond of the mating bonds and the ‘’One’’. I feel like elain was ina  bad place after losing grayson. I think she never gave a chance to lucien because of that reason. Maybe she never considered lucien because she was mourning and then azriel was closer. I believe azriel and elain care deeply for each other. I believe they are friends. I believe they are attracted to each other. But i also think, that after reading azriel’s pov, they were just something temporary to push the mating bond agenda. I feel like az found a mate in gwyn (it’s yet to see its just a theory) and it’s someone that will make him realize his feelings for mor and for elain were never real because the mating bond works different. I think the change of scenery with his shadows proves that with mor and elain they have a tone and with gwyn has another which makes such a difference. So in my eyes, gwyn is the mate. Now we have elain left. If azriel is out of the picture and she sees him with gwyn, unfortunately she will have to revalue what is happening. I don’t want to see her hurt and we don’t know her feelings since she never got a pov. There’s a theory saying that elain is not linked to the IC and the night court and she has a bigger plot with Koschei. Koschei is linked to Vassa which makes me believe elain will help vassa eventually and will put her close to Lucien. Maybe koschei will kidnap elain or posses her in the last book and lucien will play a role and romance will develop from them. It’s true that she didn’t have many crumbs with lucien but with a mating bond i feel like they don’t need that much development and in one book they can get it imo. Elain loves to travel and i think we haven’t seen much of the other courts and that will play a big role and will put elain closer with the others. Also i think the last book has to be about lucien or the last archeron sister to keep the hype imo. I don’t know as you can see my theories have so many holes and probably they are not valid so don’t take this really seriously
