New Video: Kids On A Crime Spree Release a Furious New Ripper @SlumberlandRecs @forcefieldpr
Deriving their name after a San Francisco Examiner article by Bruce Kook and James Finefrock titled “Mousepacks: Kids On A Crime Spree,” which also inspired the late 70s exploitation film Over The Edge, the Oakland-based indie act Kids on a Crime Spree — longtime friends Bill Evans (guitar), Rebecca Barron (drums) and Mario Hernandez (vocals, guitar) — released their debut EP We Love You So Bad…

FMP
I spoke to my mum about my FMP subject of choice, this concept of “bored of suburbia” and she recommended the film Over the Edge which is quite an extreme example of youth culture but still interestingly adds to this theme.
I looked into the production and how the film came about and found that it was based upon an article documenting real life teenage rebellion in California called “"Mousepacks: Kids on a Crime Spree" by Bruce Koon and James A. Finefroc” in San Francisco Examiner in 1973. The screenwriters apparently also interviewed youths from the situation to gain first hand experience.
It’s really interesting to see this theme still being relevant and challenged today.

Please tell me you knew about this when you made that
I absolutely did.
So glad someone noticed! The whole song would be performed here and it's that exact audio! A piece of context I can give is that this scene started as a distraction scheme and it didn't take long to turn into a full performance, very goofy mind you
Not only this one but also some other songs from The MousePack album as well, I can imagine it fitting some scenes quite well
