The only actual tragedy is that at some point in shipment, Once Upon A Time (In Space)’s case got cracked. Everything else is perfect!

The pin gets a special place right in the center of my bag.

I now have all the tools to make my own DVDs and I'm pacing around trying to figure out what to actually put on them because I want to make them !!!!! I want to learn them !!!! But I don't wanna waste the blank discs !!!!!! I don't actually have many files of things to put on them you know !!!!!

I will probably make a DVD of my favorite mechs liveshows.... WAUFFIDJD I'm fixating on adding a new Skill to my arsenal of Things I NEED TO MAKE MECHS DVD !!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

#by the way this was the same experience when i learned how to burn CDs by myself a couple years ago #my main things is everytime i learn how to make a New Thing i immediately want to gift it so someone #but. i don't think anyone i know wants a dvd or at least if they had something they wanted physical media of they-#ALREADY have it or i DON'T have it you know #sigh. putting this one off until later so I can actually slow down and enjoy a self indulgent project.#but it will bother me frantically unill then.#the mechanisms #physical media #my beloveds

I have been given apotheosis. A final completion. I have seen the touch and gaze of those to whom we are less than nothing.

When I first ordered these CDs, these snaking albums of change, I could not have guessed that this is where the songs I dreamt of would lead. But we’re here, and when the CDs reached Midgard, their music has followed and will share their gift with all.

(In all seriousness AHHHHHHH THEY ARE HERE AND THEY HAVE PIN BADGES 👀👀👀👀👀)

I recently discovered this Sonic fan-game from 2018 called Metal Sonic Rebooted, and it's so frikkin good! :D

The basic premise is that Dr. Eggman has created a new line of badniks to hunt down the Chaos Emeralds, and Metal Sonic is determined to find the emeralds before they can, destroying all in his path, to show the doctor that he's still his ultimate creation. (Awww. He really wants his dad's approval. lol)

I really love the way Metal controls in this game. In addition to the basic Sonic moveset, Metal also has a jet-powered forward dash, and a mid-air vertical dash, which are both really cool, but cost a bit of rings to use. Thankfully Metal doesn't drop all of his rings when damaged (only losing 15), unlike his fleshy counterpart. Naturally, Metal also can't drown underwater. The perks of being a lifeless automaton!

Another gameplay mechanic I like is that you can find certain item monitors that summon Bomb (from Knuckles' Chaotix) as a partner! Much like Tails, Bomb follows you and mimics your actions, but if Bomb gets damaged he'll drop some rings and explode, and he won't come back until you find another Bomb monitor (unlike in Chaotix where he'd regenerate instantly after exploding). It's just really neat that the Sonic&Tails buddy system has been recontextualized as a power-up! And if Bomb survives to the end of a level, he'll follow you into the next one. Kinda makes me want to challenge myself to try and keep Bomb alive from the beginning of the game to the end. lol

I also really love the level design and music of this game! I like that it has an almost grungy feel in some levels, which fits for a game starring a ruthless villain like Metal.

Though I haven't finished the game yet, I'm really loving it so far! Makes me wish I heard about it sooner!

What gets me is that this game is technically a mod, being a hack of Sonic 2. But so much of it is altered to the point you'd think it was made from the ground up! Makes me wonder if this game could run on actual hardware. I would love to have this game on a physical cartridge and run it on my old Genesis!

Of note breaking into the Clot's car park isn't the best idea. Although she has busted every camera in her domain to keep the micromanaging eye of security off her branch, Carmen does take her job title seriously. Her Lady of Flesh (Lilin) wouldn't approve of anything less. In all honesty, this was only supposed to be something to show off her wonky, goose tongue. I didn't plan on having to draw a car.... or at least mentally prepare myself.

Hello! A while ago you reblogged my post regarding The Mechanisms CDs - you mentioned having all of them.

I have taken up the hobby of archiving things regarding The Mechanisms. So far as I am aware, there are no (decent quality) photos of the exteriors and interiors of the CDs on the internet.

Might I inquire after photos of them? I am particularly interested in the credits of The Bifrost Incident - as I know Carmilla is mentioned as being credited for a part in the transmission part of the album.

Hello! It did take me some time but i have taken photographs of all the CDs, they can all be found in this google drive folder (i went over the tumblr picture limit and this way i can update it if anything is wrong :D)

Im very happy (and honored) to help with archiving efforts so if anyone want anything else (like proper scans or pics of the spines etc.) feel free to shoot me an ask and ill get to it eventually!
