this is completely unrelated and i am so sorry but you just reminded me of one of my favorite photographs where he’s talking to Scantily Clad Women and you can see 3 different Porky figures in the background on the mantle. the same man whose cartoonists snuck strategically placed drawings of Porky (these cartoons did not at all involve Porky) in the storyboards to trick him into liking it.

#the leftmost Porky figure is one of the statuettes made by Bob Clampett and was used in the Porky’s Hero Service intro #*AGENCY not Service #other one is one of those little wind up toys THAT I WANT SO BAD DEAR GOD they’re either insanely expensive or really rusted because it was #manufactured in 1939 but it’s a dream find for me. not sure what the smallest Porky figure is though #the cheese thing though if anything sounds more like an Eddie Selzer move #Eddie ‘camels aren’t funny’ Selzer prompting Friz Freleng to make Saharah Hare which frequently features a camel out of retaliation #i think there was a similar fight with Bully for Bugs/Selzer disdainful of bullfight shorts but i might have made that up can’t remember #Schlesinger and Selzer are both unintentionally hilarious in very different ways #anonymous #asks
