Saddens me greatly that even with my giant/tiny slider, i will never be able to make my favorite ocs height-accurate. The tallest one is 20ft (6m). That's like a 2 story building. Game just can't handle dudes that huge ;-;
#the shortest one is 8ft.#i might be able to make her close to accurate height#i think once we get past her and the 9.2ft tall one tho that's it.#then its 11ft. 14ft. 17ft. 19ft. 20ft.#they're just too big...#simoleon#i still have to make their body markings#and also their hairs.#i dunno enough to make clothes so ill be at the liberty of existing cc there tho.#and then i probably won't even like the way they turn out as Sims bc they'll all be too short and won't look enough like my art 💛#that's ok tho.#if their hairs end up useful for other people then it will not have been wasted effort. if i ever get around to it.#dunno if ill release their markings...#ill probably end up using them on other Sims but it would be weird to see strangers using them in a way i can't articulate

I consider the cardboard cutouts, missing posters, and comic book ending appearances more canon than the models cause we actually see them up close ingame meanwhile with the models we only see them from a distance.
There’s also the whole thing with Cassie’s model’s hair being off compared to what we see on her cutout.
i agree with this!! the models are very........ ummmm questionable but gregory doesnt really have anything blatantly wrong with his + the official art still reflects his models appearance and features. so i still try to keep it in mind
cassie on the other hand.. just throw the whole model away. only take the official art in mind with her design because the official art is always what theyre intended to look like and her model obviously had some miscommunication going on
#i think this is why gregory is so small in his model#he needs to be short for the gameplay aspect of being small in a big place (its why cassies model took gregorys body but new clothes & face#so he might be unreasonably small for this reason#but also cassie is the same height and nobody would think her height is weird for some reason#hes supposed to be 12 and looks the part in the official art easy#so whatever#pandas asks#pandas.txt#pandas talks

How about... Claudien and Yulan for the shipping ask!
Ooooh, did not see that one coming!
Biggest hurdle for them is that Yulan is not the WoL so they didn't really meet during MSQ events. But Yulan is a goldsmith with an intense fascination towards mammets, and Claudien is a scholar, so they could theoretically meet due to their jobs. Either with Yulan being contracted to work on mammets in Labyrinthos, or with Yulan being asked about the crystal from pandae questline 🤔
Other than that, I don't really see too many problems for them~ Claudien is a good looking lad, and Yulan would be attracted to both his forward way of speaking his thoughts out loud and his dedication to his work. I can imagine Claudien blurting out his budding crush on Yulan, and the viera lad just going beet red and running off all angry looking, haha. I feel like he'd be forward enough to work it through Yulan's little bursts, and manage to calm the skittish goldsmith down enough to get him to open up about his own feelings.
Or, failing that, they'd be good buddies I think. Just like, chatting about their work, cool rocks found in Aitiascape or something.

AAAANYways. look at the map ive been working on :]
#its actually rlyyy unfortunate bc ive been spending all day sprucing it up it ws originally just generated by the globe making site i like#and then i realized that i dont quitee know how to make the height map.. the original generation it ws rly easy i just made the map#grayscale and then futzed with it a little bit and i got it looking rly good..but im the process of lining everything to make it easier to#comprehend they got too seperate from eachother sighs. so i might have to go in and manually add more transitional colors#but the trouble is id have to do that for the height map AND the normal map which is also a geographical map..#also its rly weird. on da site i rly prefer the look of the 3d heightmap#rather than 2d just adding like shadows your know#but when i do the 3d it gets this huge black blotch that i cant for the life of me get rid of#and it rly sucks. bc i think its sooo cute when i have the height map intensity set pretty high#bc it makes da planet look small..#but yas. and i cant just use the uhmm original height map#bc i made some pretttyy extensive edits#not rly. mainly i#well its hard t talk abt bc its all technically one continent but that ties into what i changed#bc i didnt realize it was all one continent bc on the original map it generated it was cut up rly weird#and i couldnt get it to fit as one thing. so i went in and smushed some aprts closer together#the biggest is umm the bottom right corner#the top part of that mass USED to hang down below and to the rifht#and bled over to the other side of the image#i moved that and the top left land mass to be closer to the top right#so i could fit it all together...#and the hright map thing wouldnt be an issue if the 3d height map thing was working. it just looks sliiiightly wonky with the 2d height map#i also need to smooth out the whole thing bc i used a digital brush like an IDIOT and i dont like how that looks when its on the sphere#oh also do u guys wanna see the globe of it.. grins#ik i was already doing this awhile ago but ohwell.#once i get it wayyy more finalized like. once ive added in major settlements and the like. id love to try to make an actual globe of it..#i wanna get it to a point im rly happy with FIRST bc otherwise ill change things on the globe#and then ill get annoyed bc i wont be able to transfer the irl globe into a digital one#bc thats what happened last time when i sketched a world on a ball. grins.#hopefully i dont drop this one like i did with that one.. idt i will since i have an accurate flat map thats literally made to be a globe

It's so funny how having been raised deeply religious but no longer being Christian will linger later on. Like I just tagged a post with my constellation/stars tag from back when we all had artsy tags for everything "come close listen to the story" is about an obscure song about Jesus. Or like I was talking to a Muslim classmate of mine about what she does for her prayers when she has evening classes and I was secretly brimming with envy about the whole concept of Islamic daily prayers. The whole ritual of it, having to do it five times a day, having to face the correct direction, the rakat, that would make me so satisfied having to do that every day. I would revel in that so hard. I would really enjoy that. It's making my brain light up just thinking about.

written list of ideas i have for a humanoid design for bellum bc i think im finally zeroing in on something after a few uhhh years of brainstorming
(if you read this and have like. some ideas you want to share or some possible [constructive] criticisms go ahead and share them if you want)
Not actually properly humanoid; he can take on a fully human look but it isn’t his default and requires a bit more energy
Therefore, he usually lacks ears (they’re just. holes), finger or toe nails, a navel, an adam’s apple, or basically any kind of human detail that could be easily overlooked at first glance (maybe leaning into a bit uncanny?). He does have these traits when he actually puts the effort in to pass as human
The traits shared between his usual humanoid form and the more explicitly human form are: an eyepatch over his left eye (he doesn’t have a left eye or eye socket in either form. it’s like one-eyed willy in goonies), yellow hair (actually the same color as link’s), a lack of a nose (effectively like it’s been torn off, just leaving the nostril lines/openings), and a lot of large scars pretty much everywhere (some are just normal looking scars, like one across his face that looks like items from a wound that cost him his nose, while others vaguely resemble the markings on his body when he’s in demon/normal form), so either way he’s going to draw attention
In his usual form (more obviously nonhuman) his left eye is his usual black and orange eye, and he has sharp teeth, but he can switch those to appear more human if he’d like
He’s below the average height and appears to be only slightly muscular, logically more built for flexibility or with the build of a dancer, but his demonic strength remains, though his speed and flexibility is limited by the form he takes
His hair is a mess and mostly short, and if he’s in the more demonic-leaning human form, it’s usually got streaks of black (black is in there in some way, how it appears is still a wip) in all of the yellow
Clothing can vary but most commonly he chooses something loose and casual, he doesn’t particularly value his clothes and doesn’t really have anything to hide and so pick stuff that won’t drag him down or get snagged in a fight, flimsy loose clothes are good
Other times he’ll wear boots and gauntlets and gloves in a more serious context, usually opting for designs and materials similar to what he gives his phantoms, he doesn’t fully lean into the phantom-style of armor or fighting unless he needs to focus on defense, however
In either of his human forms, he’s still capable of fighting (and in his more demonic form he can use his tentacles, the come from his back), and doesn’t so much as have a fighting style as he generally just kills with whatever seems most convenient or entertaining at the time, ranging from creating a weapon for himself to use to just bashing a guy’s skull in with his bare hands
He’s very violent but can talk just fine and can be just about eloquent if he wants but usually leans into being more chaotic and acting the part of a brutal ruffian if the job can be completed using force, so a lot of the time he doesn’t even bother with looking explicitly human most of the time
He greatly prefers his demonic form and uses the human form for specific reasons, and can’t actually use it if he’s too weak
#bellum height is weird bc my idea of a tall/short ph realted character got skewed bad when i decided linebeck is 6’ 8”#now that im writing this out ive realized that im reasoning thst bellum’s human form looks the way it does to lure in prey yknow#he tries to look normal and friendly and unassuming and then he fucking kills you brutally or just by turning you to stone#it’s less like. gijinka or whatever and more just a form he can temporarily take if he wants and half of the time doesnt bother passing#he takes human form to more easily communicate or to directly get info from people or if he wants to do some brawling or whatever#timeline of humanoid bellum’s nose: went from vague nose shape to missing half the nose to just missing the whole nose#bellum having the same hair color as link is something i use to my advantage. he absolutely abuses looking related to link#im mostly having fun with his human design but it is something i need to figure out bc he does use it in a lot of my aus#this is a mess but its fine just wanted to share what ideas i have bc good lord this is hard#its harder to create a design for an existing nonhuman than to just whip one up for an oc obviously but still. man#listen unconsciously assigning 21st century schizoid man as my bellum song was good and bad at the same time#amazing vibes for this character fantastic now i have to work on the now-inherent prog/jazz rock vibes bc that doesnt fit the setting#also mixed dirty little animals in there so now we’ve got this crude and raucous scrappy demon who starts bar fights to bare-handedly kill#this kinda just turned into 'bellum w/ a human form headcanons' but ig its hard to talk abt visuals without. visuals#he changes depending on au cuz its the idea of like. immortal being learning from and adapting to their changing surroundings kinda thing#i think my personal fears abt this stuff is that then bellum comes off as v. like. edgy#also might be a bit of over-designing or whatever but idk???? accepting constructive criticism for a reason#loz#legend of zelda#phantom hourglass#bellum#salty talks#really putting this out there huh. ew. lol.#shoutouts to bellum's human form and my oc damien fletcher for finally getting somewhat stable designs after actual years
