Jello Biafra, lead singer of the punk rock group, Dead Kennedys, poses back stage in April 1981 in Boston, Massachusetts. Grecco was an 18-year-old college student at Boston University when he followed the thumping sound of music coming from the basement beneath his favorite late night food spot. The underground club was called ‘The Rat’ - a legendary DIY venue that hosted punk shows for bands that went on to become very famous.

“The World is a Little Darker:” Mojo Nixon Dies at 66
- Singer died following a “blazing show” aboard Outlaw Country Cruise
Mojo Nixon, the brash punkabilly singer who became known as “the loon in the afternoon” on his satellite radio programs, has died.
Nixon, 66, succumbed Feb. 7 to a “cardiac event” after performing a “blazing show” aboard the Outlaw Country Cruise, said a statement from the “Elvis Is Everywhere” singer’s camp.
“How you live is how you should die,” it said. “Mojo Nixon was full-tilt, wide-open, rock-hard, root-hog corner on two wheels and on fire. Passing after a blazing show, a raging night, closing the bar, taking no prisoners and a good breakfast with bandmates and friends … is about right and that’s just how he did it.”
“Heaven help us all,” it concluded.
With occasional gigs such as OCC still part of his itinerary, Nixon had in recent years devoted much of his time to hosting radio shows on SiriusXM, where he was known as “the Loon in the Afternoon.”
Elizabeth Cook, Nixon’s “partner in crime” on Outlaw Country, eulogized her fellow deejay and musician: “He was a total maniac, a complete pain in my ass and he will be missed,” she said.
A self-described “cult artist” who specialized in novelty songs such as “Debbie Gibson is Pregnant with My Two-Headed Love Child,” “Don Henley Must Die,” “Burn Down the Malls,” “Jesus at McDonald’s,” “Stuffin’ Martha’s Muffin” and others, Nixon once said music “kept me out of prison.”
But for all the irreverent bombast in public, there was another, private side to Nixon, said his friend and collaborator Jello Biafra.
“Beneath all the redneck-wildman veneer, the Mojo I knew was a real gentleman,” the former Dead Kennedy said. “Deep, loving and empathetic as it gets, a true son of Woody Guthrie.”
“The world is a little darker” in the wake of Nixon’s death, said Steve Poltz, who called the “wiseman (and) wiseass” Nixon “my buddy, my hero, my teacher, my spiritual advisor (and) my guru” in a lengthy online remembrance.
“Mojo was a fireball and every time I saw him I always felt better,” Poltz said. “… My God, I just can’t believe he’s passed on.”

I'm going to use the "F" word. Be warned.
I fucking get it, I really fucking do. YouTube wants to protect the masses (read: their own damn asses.)
They have their rules, no death, violence, forward presenting nipples, sex.
The "F" word can be found throughout their platform. In movie clips, in video blogs, in news reports.... Language is not banned or blocked I have seen content with "fuck" "fucking" "fucker" etc shared here on tumblr & other platforms. As a matter of fact there are songs on this blog with the "F" word in the title and/or in the songs.
"Foul" language does not look to be monitored by YouTube as a whole. BUT I think if someone complains, they render the video "age restricted." Until the artist or label fights it. (there have been titles that have had the restriction removed)
In the past week titles that have been affected are by NWA, The Dead Kennedys, The Specials, Chip Taylor & The New Ukrainians.
Now the "Fs" involved have nothing to do with sex, they are general fuck *insert group* or a simple fuck off.
I am convinced that some stick up the ass holier than though *savior* (or group of them) is reporting things to youtube. They are titles that have been up for years, by artists or songs that are well known. Songs by lesser known artists are flying under the radar.
So fuck off you fucking fuckers that feel the need to police what other people watch or listen to.

Lecture 16: PUNK! The Dead Kennedys perform “Nazi Punks Fuck Off” in 1982. Like so many of the band’s songs, it contained anti-authoritarian and pro-anarchist themes. Lead singer Jello Biafra (real name: Eric Boucher) openly embraced leftist politics, and even ran for mayor of San Francisco at one point. Sadly, Biafra and the other members of the band experienced a bitter parting of ways. Still, Jello remains a force to be reckoned with in punk and left-wing activist circles in the Bay Area. He is active in the music scene, and remains an outstanding practitioner of the spoken word. (NOTE: There is quite a bit of profanity in this video!)

Dead Kennedys Drummer D.H. Peligro Dead at 63
Dead Kennedys drummer D.H. Peligro died Oct. 28 after “an accidental fall” at his home in Los Angeles, his bandmates said.
He was 63.
“Police on the scene stated that he died from trauma to the head caused by an accidental fall,” the band wrote on social media. “ … Thank you for your thoughts and words of comfort.”
Peligro joined the Dead Kennedys in 1981. In 1983, he made a lasting impression on William DuVall, who was in the audience in Atlanta when the drummer, “after totally shredding … the entire set,” dived into the crowd.
“Fucking legend,” DuVall wrote on Facebook. “Rest in peace.”
After the Kennedys’ initial breakup in 1986, Peligro had a brief - but “crucial” - tenure in the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
“You are the truest rocker, and a crucial part of RHCP history,” Flea wrote on Instagram. “ … You live forever in our hearts, you wild man, you bringer of joy, you giant-hearted man. I will always honor you.”
When the Kennedys reformed in 2001, Pelicro was there. And there he remained.
“Long live D.H.P.,” Stephen Perkins wrote on social media.
