Headcanon based on something I just drew.

When Apollo is annoyed he rants, when he’s angry he yells, but when he’s truly furious, he’s completely silent.

Many a mortal have died to nothing more than the sound of an arrow being let loose. In his rage, Apollo deemed their lives, and their deaths, unworthy of his voice. No requiem for the wicked.

#something something #the confrontation after Apollo kills the master Cyclopes #Zeus is yelling and screaming and so furious #and at the foot of his throne apollo stands silent and unapologetic #and for the first time Zeus realizes he might’ve pushed his son too far #so he attempts to cast Apollo to Tartarus to fix his mistake #but throughout all his threats Apollo remains silent #too far gone in his rage and grief to even care what his fathers punishment might be #this specific moment is so important to me bc it must have been such a breaking point in their relationship #but it’s mentioned so little #it’s the only time (as far as I know) Apollo makes the choice on his own to strike against his father #even if it isn’t against Zeus directly we know from the books it was an attempt to get rid of his power over Apollo #and that’s the one thing Zeus is terrified of #anyways #working on toapril a bit early ;)#I’m deluding myself into thinking I can do every day woop woop #trials of apollo #toa apollo #lester papadopoulos #sunny speaks #headcanons
