What is the story behind the recording of “The Caddy” and where can I find it or can you tell me what it contains and do you think they threatened Dean and Jerry with this recording of a breakup?
thanks!
HI! Here is the recording that the FBI (and the censors of the time) called "obscene". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e70LMeDfrDA
The boys were recording a promotional message for their film "The Caddy", perhaps they were bored, perhaps in private their language was always so "colourful" we don't know… but that recording caused them a lot of trouble. At one point Dean asked to delete what they were saying but someone didn't. That tape began to circulate in many living rooms and clubs, many copies were printed and sold on the black market. The FBI began to investigate them precisely because of this recording, and then also investigated backwards in time. Among the many things I wonder about them, I will also wonder HOW they didn't get arrested for this tape. As if… they were protected somehow, I don't know…
Sorry for the delay in replying but I still have no internet connection from my PC and I find it difficult to use Google Translate from my mobile phone.

I'm confused about what happened to Jerry Lewis in January 1953 during the filming of The Caddy. I know that he got into an accident with a motor scooter at that time that took around three weeks to recover. However, the Wikipedia page for The Caddy said that he got a fever, also taking around three weeks to recover. I know Wikipedia isn't always reliable, so I looked at the source it cited (Elvis' Favorite Director: The Amazing 52-Film Career of Norman Taurog by Michael A. Hoey) and this is what it said:
Tumblr media
Does anyone have any idea where the concept of Jerry having a fever in January 1953 could have come from? Searching online, I have found no evidence of this other than things that seem to be referencing the Wikipedia page, which in turn references this book. Hoey also does not use in-line citations, only including a bibliography at the end. I suspect this came from some sort of newspaper of magazine article, but Hoey does not provide article titles, only magazine and newspaper publication titles. We know for certain that Jerry had the motor scooter accident, so I don't know why this information about a fever exists. If anyone has seen the article this information is from, let me know! I am just a bit confused as to where this information could have come from and why it's being circulated when there isn't the evidence for it that the motor scooter accident has. In my opinion, it's much more likely that filming on The Caddy was suspended because of the motor scooter accident and not a fever.

This post is about Ji Ho and Jack buying fish.
Tumblr media
Since Jeb and Saiwa stay at the hotel this night (Jeb doesn't even know of this 'surprise' yet ö.ö'), neither Ji Ho nor Jack can cook and Vlad doesn't eat anyway, they decided to just put fish on the grill for dinner this evening.
Tumblr media
Ji Ho is well aware of Jack's 'pyromaniac tendencies' and suggested to eat the fish raw (since that's normal for him, he is a mermaid) but Jack declined...
Tumblr media
Outtakes
Another rare Vlad and Jeb moment. Jeb: "Uhm ... what are you doing?" Vlad: "Hm? What?"
Tumblr media
When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie That's amore When the world seems to shine like you've had too much wine That's amore Bells will ring ting-a-ling-a-ling, ting-a-ling-a-ling And you'll sing "Vita bella" Hearts will play tippy-tippy-tay, tippy-tippy-tay Like a gay tarantella
That's Amore - Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis (MV is the scene from the movie 'The Caddy' from 1953 where they performed this song) Could be a poster for a gay romance movie as well ;)
