List 92: Top Tenish Anime I need To Finish

We all have anime we have started but some reason or another we never finish the show. It could be we got distracted, disinterested, dismembered, really anything could be the reason. So today I decided to make a list of the anime I need to go back and complete “soon™ ”. Off we go!

10: Last Years Monthly Shows: NIsekoi, Aria, LB!, Dennou Coil, and Humanity has Declined

Last year I tried to watch an anime for every month of the year for the first ten months. These anime were all favorites of particular friends of mine. To be honest I loved the idea and it even spread a little bit too. However, other commitments took precedence and I only finished 4 of the 10 series overall. I’d love to go back and see what these shows have to offer if I can soon.

9: Deadman Wonderland

Okay, I know this show ends like crap but the last 2-3 episodes is all I have left so I figure it can’t be worse than like Eva or Utena right? Maybe it can haha but I am willing to look into it and see what the pain of this finale is like. At least the show was semi fun if anything.

8: Death Parade

What a split reaction this series garnered overall. Some adored it calling it AOTS and others wanted to throw their TV out the window. Episodic shows tend to do that it seems. Well seems like a fun experiment for me. Which end will I end up on? Knowing me somewhere in the middle sounds about right. That would be my bulls-eye.

7: Kekkaishi

Shonen fun with spirits and the voices of Vic Bologna and Angel Bailey! Two of my favy american voice actors and a really fun show. I never finished it because I was watching it on Toonami and got behind and didn’t have recording at the time. I sorta just forgot which is a shame because I enjoyed it too.

6: Black Butler(season 1)

I started this one with my good friend and just never finished. I mean I don’t think I will change opinions on it. The show is good in strides but that is about it. Sebastian and Ciel are great but the rest is just a slog to get through. Also forced catch phrases every episode gets a big tiring. Charming sometimes, but most times a NO.

5: Amagami

What an interesting little show this was. Visual novel romantic plots split into 4 episode mini arcs telling their individual stories. Some are downright weird but I appreciate the variety and unique love depictions. It gives the show a mixed bag of feelings but in a more positive light than the usual negative. I promise BYtheHORNs one day I will finish!!

4: Welcome to the NHK

A classic in the anime community for it’s offbeat story and creative ideas, NHK is a loved series. After a few episodes I liked what I saw but wasn’t enamored and then got caught up in some other show. I would like to go back and see how it plays out though. A man who is a NEET shut in and making a hentai game does pose a funny plot if anything.

3: Arslan Senki

An adapted version of an old story with the art of FMA creator Hiromu Arakawa made for a classic fantasy in the works. And I really liked what I saw but as I watched it seasonally I got so far behind I never had the time to catch up. With it now completed and my free time becoming better managed I am running out of reasons to not watch a potential favorite to it’s conclusion.

2: Polar Bear Cafe

The only show on this list that isn’t on my on hold list but is still currently being watched. But with the rate I am going I will finish it in like 15 years so I may want to speed this up a bit. The weird thing is I find it to be one of the funniest anime I’ve ever seen but for some reason never am in the mood to watch it. I don’t understand that one bit. Oh well one day maybe haha.

1: Touch

After the 25 episodes I saw this show was top of the line for me. So much potential to be one of my favorite shows of all time. But a sad moment in the show mixed with a real life breakdown caused me to take a break last February and I still haven’t gotten back to it. I promise I will but I need to make myself get into a groove with a long show first. I know I can, just need a little time is all. Life is looking up and I just want to be touched by an anime.
