Based on the way the story has been written, especially following season 4, I do believe mike is likely gay atp. But “It’s not my fault you don’t like girls” still makes sense as projection if Mike is bi because lots of closeted bi teens are confused about their feelings, especially in the 80s where terms like “bisexual” wouldn’t have been as readily accessible to kids from Hawkins, Indiana.

Simply the fact that Mike likes boys/Will could make him worried that he’s gay and cause him to hyperfixate on the concept of not liking girls more often, especially if his feelings for El were waning, or if his feelings for Will were overwhelming, even if he did in fact have a crush on El at the start of the show. Nothing says being a closeted bi teen like bouncing back and forth between “I can’t be gay, I like girls” and “Oh no, I like boys, am I gay?”

I think there’s a common misconception that the bi Mike view necessitates oversimplifying the story as “Mike used to be into El, and now he’s into Will.” That isn’t necessarily the case. A bi Mike reading can still involve internalized homophobia, projection, the heteronormative pressure to conform and date girls, repression, and most of the things we talk about here.

Pakistan ended first innings at 363. They had lead of 179 runs. England lost Cook in 2nd over and it was uphill from there onwards. Root and Malan gave England some hope by having a 60 run stand. But once they both fell , it was a collapse waiting to happen. England collapse too often in test cricket now a days. From 91-2, England were reduced to 110-6.  Root was dismissed 68. Another fifty plus score without a century for England star batsman. Amit, Abbas and Shadab had grabbed 2 wickets each. Butler and debutant Bess showed some fight finally and had 125 run stand before end of day 4. Lead was 56 runs. Both scored well made fifties. Butler has been in brilliant form in IPL and he took that to this test. England had a remote chance of playing out 5th day’s first session and then give Pakistan a target of 150 plus and hope they choke. But Abbas and Amir ensured none of that happened. They dismissed England for 242. Pakistan won the match by 9 wickets. Abbas was MOM for his 8 fer. This is best figures by a Pakistan bowler in Lords. Pakistan has best win record in Lords after Australia. England has lost first test of summer played in May for the first time since 1921. If England lose this series, few heads would roll for sure.

In biggest T20 match of 2018, CSK faced SRH in Wankhade. CSk chose to bowl. Dhoni replaced Bhajji with Karn Sharma. He gave his first contribution in 2nd over itself when he ran out Goswami. Williamson and Dhawan then played brilliantly, mixing caution with aggression. They had 51 run stand before Jadeja castled Dhawan in his first over. SRH 64-2. Shakib came and started timing the ball really well. They reached 73-2 by 10th over. They had brilliant next 2 overs when Shakib took Jadeja apart. SRH 100-2 in 12 overs. SRH needed 190 to beat CSK. Karn was introduced and he stumped Williamson first ball. It was irresponsible shot by SRH captain. It was premediated and he paid the price for it. Yusuf came in and took CSK attack apart from the word go. He hit a six over extra cover of Karn which was delightful to see. SRH reached 126-3 in 15 overs. Shakib was dismissed by Bravo. SRH 134-2 in 16 overs. Bravo had a poor final over when Braithwaite took him apart. Bravo was bowling length. SRH 160-5 in 18 overs. They looked set for 190. But Ngidi had over ideas.
