Hello, and thank you for the ask!
Truth be told, I gave up on trying to actually predict what will happen in season 2 a while ago - because HotD writers can pull literally every plot stunt imaginable (and whatever you can imagine, it usually turns out to be even worse).
So, I would like to mention some things that could happen in Season 2:
Team Green divided because of their views on the way the war should be fought: most likely, Alicent (team "mercy and caution") vs Aegon and Aemond (team "give them no quarter") with Otto and, later, Criston somewhere in between. This is definitely not what I would like to see; however, since it's quite likely to happen I am kind of interested about Criston's attitude and actions. On the one hand, he is utterly loyal to Alicent and practically bound to take her side (Fabien mentioned this during the promo campaign as well). On the other hand, Criston is a man of war and of action; plus, while he is sworn to Alicent and it's her will he is enforcing, Targtower boys are also close and dear to him. Also, he was once shown to hesitate in carrying her orders out before, at Driftmark (Viserys was still alive and ruling back then, and that made a huge difference, though).
Aemond consumed by his desire for power (because "he's worth it" *hair toss*). It looks like quite a sure thing at this point as well; what matters is how and when it will happen. If the writers make ambition and pride a reason enough for Aemond to stop caring about his family's best interests - I, for one, am not accepting that as canon. Specifically, if he decides to deliberately hurt/try to kill Aegon at Rook's Rest (don't even get me started on this one).
Aegon embracing his role as a King and taking action (it's been pretty much confirmed by TGC several times). Well, this is one of a few good things I can see happening. I think Aegon will still be presented as someone capable of acts of cruelty (and not hesitating to commit them) - in contrast with Rhaenyra and Alicent - but these acts will be justified (although not everyone will see them this way, that's for sure).
I don't even know what to think about Alicent's character at this point. She was given one of the most inconsistent and WTF-inducing arcs in season 1, literally going from "Rhaenyra is an enemy, she will kill my children, and I would die myself before seeing her bastard son marrying my daughter" to "You will be a fine Queen, oh why are you leaving already". From what we've seen, she is not eager to start the metaphorical blasting - but how far will Alicent's unwillingness to resort to violence go? If the show opts for making her defend Rhaenyra from Aegon and Aemond's wrath (which is not a given, but still), from where I stand, Alicent's character will be completely and utterly ruined. And it's not her I will stand with.
Alys Rivers presented as a character full of mystery and dangerous charm. Her playing mind tricks on Daemon and driving him nearly crazy (crazier than he already is, that is) will probably establish her as someone to be reckoned with. I don't think her character will be given much depth this season (if only for the lack of screen time) but the teasing of Alys having something deeper about her than just being "a weird witch woman" might be there.
And the Blacks? Well, in spite of Ryan Condal and Co droning about how "the writing is unbiased, and there is no right side in the Dance. and the story is full of grey characters", I think they (save for Daemon, most likely) will remain their the-true-Queen-Rhaenyra-supporting, righteous selves. Jace, Baela and Rhaena apparently will get some personal character development this season; but will it be enough to make them less of Rhaenyra's appendages and more of characters in their own right? I have my doubts but we`ll have to wait and see.

desperately need people to understand that alicent is a victim but she’s also an abuser and a perpetrator
that she actively makes choices to harm other women because of jealousy and envy and the greed deep in her bones because submitting to suffering didn’t get her what those women fight to grasp for themselves.
she is absolutely a victim, in show.
that doesn’t change that she abused rhaenyra and her children, her own son, most likely helaena given how she flinches every time her mother touches her, and is actively weaponizing the patriarchy of westeros against other women- rhaenyra primarily, but also mysaria and dyana.
she isn’t the moral, righteous force of good that even she thinks she is, she’s a wounded woman directing all of the rot, pain, and fury inside her at the wrong people and forces.

One thing I loved that this show did is accurately capturing audience reaction to the cliffhanger in the last episode. All of us were here gushing since last week 'Oooo look how she protected her husband. She's so in love. Screams infinitely.'
But I love Haein getting annoyed at that saying she didn't do it because of that. She didn't want to become the 'Juliet'. She did it to cause problems for Yoon Eun sung. I really like the way it was addressed. I mean we all had an idea declaring her love for him wasn't the only reason but she was rightfully annoyed on how taht took center staged. And not the annihilation she served Yoon Eun Sung. Boss queen lady's mind is absolutely fantastic when it comes to business matters.

when people who like seasons 1 and 2 better explain why it was better they always lose me when they say "the characters were what mattered the most the supernatural plot was basically not that important it was ALL about the characters" like...that's just what YOU were more interested in not what was happening in the show? like wdym the supernatural plotline wasn't that important in seasons 1 and 2. saying that it was more balanced or more subtle i get but saying that the supernatural plot wasn't THAT important and that it's not what made anyone love the show is a blatant lie

it’s with depression that i fear i have to say, i think for a long time (too long really), zuko doesn’t reach out to his uncle during his retirement in ba sing se, not even for the much needed guidance he could use, because he considers it part of the exhaustive list of reparations the fire nation (and he himself) owes

(he doesn’t know the meaning of the word in relation to himself)#i’m sure iroh reaches out often. lots of letters#but for one zuko’s swamped and pushing himself past his own limits with his responsibilities besides#and for two he’s just as guilty about his treatment of his uncle as his treatment of the gaang if not probably moreso really#it is of course horribly misguided and i expect iroh would eventually show up on his doorstep like you IDIOT boy of mine—!#but until then. zuko is in fact being a self sacrificing and self hating idiot#i also think this is largely true to his character because he has no idea how to uphold normal and healthy relationships#obvi particularly familial#and zuko always deals in extremes when it comes to everything he does#so rather than outright cruelty and insults….he swings in the opposite direction and overcompensates….#by shutting iroh out completely#and justifying it as ‘he deserves peace and i do not’#which is completely incorrect of course on all levels#but he’s still learning and his development arc doesn’t end at the finale of book 3#ebb and flow. like water one might even say teehee#idk if this is canon to the comics i’m not super familiar with them except for a few plot points and quotes#it just breaks my heart that zuko still doesn’t understand that it is harmful to withhold himself from people who care about him#than it is to supposedly protect them from knowing him and being close to him#he makes me so emo hes so emo i love him so much

Detective Conan: The Phantom of Baker Street
a.k.a the father & son moments I absolutely love and wish we can see more!
#I'm sad we didn't see much of the Kudous in the 1000+ chapters n episodes of the manga/show#And while it's a popular opinion that Shinichi kinda want to avoid his childish parents at all cost (which I also believed is true)#But here it seems they have mutual respect and miss each other#Perhaps it lacks the dorkiness and childish behaviour because there's murder case and danger involved (and Yukiko's absence)#Although I can't really tell which is the true dynamic since this is just movie#And we know some character are portrayed quite differently from manga sooo#I don't know what's the point of this post other than maybe I want to complain about the lack of this kind of plot in DC movies#Forget the flahsy action. I do think it’s funny that they made sue the “clingy” one on dickinson s3 when Emily was constantly like
Like, we’re talking about Emily “to take away our Sue leaves but a lower World” Dickinson.
There’s written proof that she could not handle Sue leaving her side in any way ever since they met 😂
#i do get that they used that as a plot point for character development and shit#but i don’t know#i mean I do love s3 but there are little things that I wish they would’ve expanded on if they had more time#like Emily’s perspective and relationship with sue’s children#she adored those kids#we have that one beautiful scene with the baby which I love#but one of the last conversations they had sue told Emily that she sort of forgot about her since she had a child#and then they just fixed everything by having sex#again a beautiful scene done with so much care and love and Taylor swift#but like a conversation would’ve been nice and also I would’ve liked to see them further down the line#a bunch of stuff happens to them down the road and one of my favorite parts of reading that was how sweet and caring they were until the end#like when Emily says that she loves her the same as when love first began it’s true until the end but more#like their connection just got deeper and deeper with time#overall they show made a great job at represting their relationship but the last arc was a bit rushed#and i would’ve liked seeing more#dickinson#emisue#emily dickinson#sue gilbert#open me carefully

I keep going back and forth on whether I think the problem with Bayo 3 is that it was trying too hard to be a movie, like on the one hand I think that's an absolutely INSANE take (see: the entire Jeanne mini game) and consider most issues I have with Bayonetta to be like. This is definitely a love letter to video games as a medium this and that bit just sucks.
(If you are not a Bayonetta fan, you may not know that say cutscenes that last a million years are part and parcel of the experience. In general, seeing so many takes about Bayo 3 from people who aren't really Bayonetta fans has been difficult, you people understand nothing)
On the other hand fully they just wanted a scene where Gomorrah fights an army (the French army specifically idk if that's relevant) for no particular reason
#like if you don't get space harrier and route 666 you don't get it.#but also I don't like space harrier or route 666.#and I find both less obtrusive than a lot of Bayo 3.#I do feel like. Baal Zebub isn't a rhythm game right? Like it's not at all rhythm based?#idk.#the game's plot just kind of sucks in a way not entirely unlike what's wrong with some marvel movies#but that's not like. THE core issue of the game I feel. That it's trying to be like a movie.#it's just. not as tight a video game as Bayo 1 is#which is also true of bayo 2.#audio cue woes.#no one ever cares about the battle grunts in Bayo 1 being unique for each space in the combi#so you could easily always know where you are.
