It's been a while since I made a post like this...and it's probably the worst case scenario to talk about now. No, I love GUMI and I am proud of how it is giving more attention to enter into multifacets for different voice banks...I clarify this, it is NOT made to defame GUMI SV or Internet Co of this decision. My problem is due to SynthV and its scandalous Fandom that...I am not pleased with the level of stability that most users have for this type of news.
Well, I won't deny that Vocaloid is currently in decline and barely had the luck to update V6 a year ago, but it's not to say that they have always been terrible at their job and that they spread evil just because they use a more complex level to make new voice banks. Let's remember that if it weren't for Vocaloid, other Synthesizers like UTAU and SynthV itself would not exist, yes, their main star Miku and company are no longer updating themselves with all this success that the most recent synthesizers have but I remind you that, in 2019 Crypton had decided this after the decline of V5 and how Yamaha has become a conflictive company that lost all ties of labor cooperation to continue updating their Loids. So if there is someone they want to blame, it is both companies for having a closed mind, do not defame and make the Vocaloid characters look bad for this very reason.
Now the SynthV Fandom...look, I'm not one of those people who prejudge and make a group of people look bad just because I don't agree with their opinion, in certain cases, I admit that SynthV has surprised me and certain banks I like the voices of it depending on the cover I hear. But the direction I'm seeing from the majority of fans gives me a bad taste in my mouth...instead of taking things calmly, they exaggerate by saying that Teto or Gumi SV is the best thing that ever happened in SynthV and that it's going to trample to Vocaloid only because they consider their banks better due to the inclusion of AIs and the realistic intonation they choose (In case someone forgets, remember that before this happened many considered Gumi's voice to be more realistic even if it was already from Vocaloid). No vocal synthesizer is going to be superior to another, what's more, if you are a fan of Stardust or Sora, you will know that they managed to please a number of fans in a healthy way, so why is there this hype with Teto and Gumi? Easy, SynthV fans are demanding iconic character voices to take on Vocaloid, because "Vocaloid is so horrible and bad that it didn't leave its Synthesizers free to update" I remind you, Vocaloid is not a single company, there are several those who work using this program so it is ridiculous to judge an entire program when they are executives and people who work on the decision of their Vocaloids, as I said before, do not look down on the voices and the program itself.
And my last point which would be the controversial one...the AI and the supposed realism that people ask for in Vocaloid. Fans of yesteryear will know that the essence of Vocaloid was always that of "a robotic voice that is programmed to sing." At what point did they ignore what it characterized Vocaloid? The thing is that with the advancement of AIs, people have forgotten that same meaning that Vocaloid represented, I see that SynthV is taking advantage of the use of these and that is why people ask for more, not only original voices of it, but they demand the extinction of Vocaloid so that its popular voices belong to them. This is not like in animation companies where one is buying and acquiring the products of another, like a certain company that is also being hated, the voice bank programs are free, even if Yamaha Corporation has the authorization of Vocaloid or in more cases variables, AH Software has authorization from Voiceroid, it is enough to do business with them so that Vocaloid can be distributed to other companies and so that they also have the decision to use SynthV or Cevio for their voice banks.
I'm not claiming which side is better, I'm just asking that there stop being wars and insinuations over these issues that Gumi has been suffering from being a prisoner of Vocaloid, GUMI was originally from it, what Internet Co does is give it more variety of programs ( which not only SynthV, we will probably see a Cevio GUMI in the future) and believe me this is not the first time this has happened, in this case it was distinguished by being a Vocaloid with variable banks and intonations. Speaking of the latter, I remind you that the program works depending on how it is used, yes, I see people complain that the banks they have are complex, but even with that, there are still people who are planning to use Vocaloid because they have brief experience and knowing the proper use for when a bank will be used, I'm also not saying that only Vocaloid experts are the only ones who can handle it, anyone can be capable, it just takes a real intention to use it as it should and not be bothered by it.
You can ignore my opinion if you don't like me or you're not interested, I know that many won't think the same as me, but keep in mind that if you continue with that disastrous attitude of "Vocaloid deserves to die" it won't amount to anything because that the general fandom of the Vocal Synths can be better than the reputation that SynthV is having and the defamation they give to Vocaloid, which was the one who started this trend of robotic idols that sing as I mentioned before. And seeing people asking for "realism" makes lose why Vocaloid should exist in the first place...

Chapter four: Never go on free helicopter rides~ here’s why
Warnings: Terrible flirting
┈✁✃✁✃✁✃✁✃✁✁✃✁✃✁✃✁✃┈
Rain's hand flew across the materials, rushing yet focused, the materials messy, yet the design organized. She grabbed the storage card and inserted it into her computer. Typing and coding for several hours, she ejected the card and installed it. She brought the pieces outside and assembled them. She didn't realize that it had been a whole day in till she passed out next to the helicopter. Echo ran outside to ring Rain on the grass with a helicopter. Echo quickly went back inside to find Moon.
They both appeared later on "Is Rain asleep?" Said Echo while poking Rain in the back.
"I don't know but she probably exhausted." Moon replied sitting on the grass beside Rain. Rain's eyes snapped open and she immediately sprang up into a wolf's hunting position. She glared fiercely at them both before relaxing.
"It's you two." She grumbled, collapsing on the grass.
"Pfft- you thought we were enemies." Echo crackled laying on the grass.
"When's breakfast? Your brothers cooking is trash!" Moon stuck out her tongue thinking about it disgustingly.
"What did he make this time?" She asked skeptically "His mushroom ravioli's the only thing worth eating."
Echo and Moon both looked at each other and Echo almost gaged. "He made dumplings and the dumplings were sweet and dry..." Echo sighed.
"You better make breakfast or I will jump off a cliff." Begged Moon.
"Alright." She stood up stretching and wincing "I'm sore."
She wobbled to the kitchen, where Luke stood, looking crestfallen. Echo and Moon followed in going to the kitchen with Rain to see what she shall make this time. She mixed eggs with flour, salt, oil, and many more ingredients that have never been touched before. It reached a batter texture and she baked it with cheese. Soon the smell of cheesy bread filled the air.
"Muy bien! Muy bien, hermana!" Luke clapped his hands together. "Muy bien what now...?" Echo asked confused before looking at the food with interest
"WOAH! Looks good!!" Squealed Moon.
"Muy bien is basically very good en Español, hermosa." Luke explained as he helped himself to one. Echo looked at Luke with confusion
"What's hermosa?" Echo asked. Rain chocked on her bread and her face was  red.
"He says you're pretty." She said hesitantly
"Sí, what's your names, senorita?" Luke chuckled. Echo looked at him blankly,
"Ah! What a compliment!" Echo giggled. "Now Rain could tell you." Echo waved her hand in amusement.
"Sora and Maddison" she replied, absentminded "Are we leaving now?"
"Let's go~!" Echo pointed outside, skipping over.
"She's drunk." Chuckled Rain to Moon entering the helicopter.
"Hey! I am not! I don't even drink!" Echo glared at them.
"I have high alcohol intolerance." Rain shrugged as she fiddled with the controls.
"That, I don’t doubt." Moon sighed. Echo ran inside the helicopter and sat down beside a nearby seat.
"Come on Rain!" Echo pooled her head outside of the entrance. Rain put on a headset and Luke having a matching one.
"SOAR, come estas?" She said to the helicopter AI.
"Estoy bien, senora. ¿Deberiamos ir?" replied SOAR.
"Sí, Japon, por favor. Gracias, amigo."
"Muy bien y de nada!" The helicopter took off steadily into the distance.
"Why does it have to be in Spanish! You know we don't understand Spanish..." Echo sighed in disappointment.
"Relax, hermosa." Rain smiled "las hablas ingles, no?"
"Si hablo ingles perfectamente." The AI replied.
Echo sighed giving up and just started playing chopsticks with Moon.
Rain hoped this trip would be a smooth ride. But of course, she was very wrong. Sure, the helicopter lifted into the air pretty easily, but the same thing couldn't be said for the rest of the trip. It was barely twenty minutes into the flight when something went wrong. The helicopter suddenly started wobbling critically as smoke suddenly filled the space. All three girls started coughing from the smoke as Echo turned her head to Rain immediately.
''What's happening?!?'' She demanded, a prominent frown on her face
Rain was searching around the helicopter before realizing something, ''CRAP! I forgot to add something to the helicopter when I was adjusting it.. Dang it!'' She said angrily to herself.
''Seriously?! Parachutes! Now!'' Moon screamed over the wind as all three of the girls grabbed for a parachute as they all started adjusting it quickly on themselves.
Moon was the first one to finish, ''Moon out!'' She yelled, jumping out of the helicopter.
Soon both Echo and Rain finished adjusting it as Echo took Rain's hand and they looked at each other before sprinting out of the Helicopter jumping out. When they we're about half way to the ground Echo pushed the button which opens the parachute while Rain did the same. Both girls started gliding down as they watched Moon concerningly.
''Open your parachute! What are you doing?!?'' Rain said panicking.
Moon looked up fear in her eyes, ''Mine isn't working!!'' She screamed as both Rain and Echo exchanged fearful glances.
Echo then thought of an idea, ''Try grabbing our hands! We can try gliding you down or something!'' She replied immediately reaching her hand out to Moon hoping she could at least grab it as Rain then did the same thing Echo did.
After a few tries Echo finally got a grip of Moon's hand. Gwen managed to hook the strings of her parachute onto Moon's back while she spread her arms and legs and eagle-soared in the air, startling a bird flying past. However, the string was not designed to carry three people and was already weak from the fires on the helicopter. Her parachute snapped and flew off in the mountains.
“Pollution,” Rain groaned
Moon's eyes widened as she narrowly missed the peak of a tall mountain
"Fu-" she cursed, waving her arms. She got to her senses and spread her arms. Her army jacket morphed into wings. Which glided with the wind gracefully. "Dang Rain..." Echo flinched as they were slowly landing on the ground.
"Well you saved my life..." Moon thanked Echo. "And that's my job!!" Echo crackled in amusement.
Rain descended on to the ground with a soft thump. She curled up on the grass and immediately lost consciousness. With her wings flapping gently behind her, she sighed in her sleep. "Great people might see her with wings. But... it's literally empty here!!!" Echo screamed in frustration plopping to the ground to sit.
"I might just create another helicopter again but a better version then the previous one..." Echo sighed getting to work.
"Well I guess you do your thing and I'll try figuring out where we are!" Moon started walking around exploring each part and detail on where they landed. "I hope the helicopter didn't kill anyone when it fell..." Moon sighed.
—~ flashback(Rain's POV) ~—
In a dark circular room, Rain's hands were tied to a chair. Her breath was slowly fading. A man with a lab coat approached her. He surveyed her critically over his spectacles. After a moment of concerned staring he snapped his finger and she drove in time after unsuccessfully screaming.
—~ flashback ends ~—
Rain woke up screaming, her forehead glittering with sweat.
"E-Echo?" She asked, her voice hoarse from screaming.
Echo was shoving earplugs in her ears as she didn't want to bother Rain. "Hm...? Oh! Your awake, how come you were screaming?" She asked curiously.
Rain walked to the edge of the cliff and sat down, her legs dangling over the edge. She stayed silent, surveying the view, the wolf inside her baring her fangs threateningly.
"Rain? You okay?" Echo asked removing one earplug.
Moon slowly walked back glancing at Rain "Oh cool your awake!" Moon smiled. Rain kept quiet and studied her hands, making sure they weren't old and wrinkled.
"Miss your heart rate picked up. Maybe around five minutes before a panic attack, and you-" PADIC got cut off.
"PADIC deactivate medical scan momentarily." Whispered Rain to her AI.
Both Echo and Moon looked at Rain suspiciously and concerned.
"Are you okay? I don't want to repeat myself." Echo frowned while Moon approached her
"Rain? You look a bit pale.." Moon inquired
"Nightmare" she gave a small whimper, which she never did and frowned. Moon hugged Rain while Echo sprinted over to hug her.
"Never fear! We are here!" Joked Echo while laughing at her own joke.
Rain took a shuddering breath and faked a smile "Yup, all good now."
"Great!" Moon smiled. Echo ran back to her previous spot.
"So, I made another one. It should be a bit stronger than the one you built." Echo said climbing up and down from the helicopter she created.
Rain entered the helicopter and peered at the controls. She suddenly reached up and suddenly stabbed the ceiling, making a rectangular dent.
"Hey! I worked hard on that..." Echo said a bit hurt.
"Wait for it." Rain smiled as wires fell down "Great!"
"Maybe it wouldn't have broken if you hadn't stabbed it!" Echo started specking angrily as she got of the helicopter and ran to Moon.
"If your so angry. Can't you just smash something else?" Echo sat on the grass. She was so mad that she wanted to punch someone to help her calm herself down.
Rain too, the wires gently and attached a box to it. She inserted a memory cars and sealed the hole by gently touching it. As her fingers slid over the surface it seemed as if nothing happened.
"Hola, senora. Como esta?" SOAR activated.
"Estoy muy bien, y usted?" Rains smiled.
"Estoy bien, gracias. Luke dijo- " "No se habla de Luke, por favor." Rain cut the AI off.
"Lo sientes, senorita,"
Echo created her own earplugs to connect to her phone. She started to listen to music while Moon went up to Rain.
"You know you didn't have to do that right...?" Moon sighed.
"I was making space for the AI." Rain said frowning. "It's good as new."
"I guess you just did that on purpose.." Moon made an awkward laugh.
"Yeah I did." Rain scratches the back of her neck awkwardly "Is Echo mad at me?"
"Yup, she’s kicking the ground and throwing rocks at things." Moon laughed as she glanced outside.
Rain shifted uncomfortably and glanced at the sunset "I should go."
Moon nodded as she started looking around the helicopter Echo made, inattentively listening to Echo’s grumbles.
Rain gathered her stuff and ran into the forest. Her footsteps eventually fading.

Meeting Mona.
Tumblr media
Is it really necessary to go to the Tower by Helicopter? I feel like it’s gonna make me skysick...
Tumblr media
You can get skysick?
Tumblr media
Well, they DO say that the air is the safest way to travel.
Tumblr media
Yes, but there’s a higher chance of dying if we somehow DO crash...
Tumblr media
I’d much rather take a land vehicle too, but unfortunately we can’t just do that.
Tumblr media
Not only is it really near the coast, and there are a few cliffs that would block any car or truck from getting down there, but there’s some chemical spillages that aren’t safe for humans to be around.
Tumblr media
The tower was built with that in mind so that the waste could be used as energy.
Tumblr media
It’s amazing what human’s can think up sometimes.
Tumblr media
Yeah, they can think up some pretty amazing things. Including apocalypses and killing games.
Tumblr media
Honestly, I can’t see why you admire humans so much Mii-Yu. We’re not exactly the kindest creatures.
Tumblr media
Himiko does have a point...
Tumblr media
I understand why you may think that...And I’m inclined to agree with you.
Tumblr media
But I consider myself to be a kind-hearted machine, and I was modelled after humans. That in itself is enough for me to believe that humans aren’t completely terrible.
Tumblr media
They’re humble, integral, responsible, resilient, compassionate and respectful...
Tumblr media
I’d like to think that, even if you know a lot of bad people, there are more good people in the world than there are bad.
Tumblr media
And even if there are many bad people...It’s never too late for them to reinvent themselves.
Tumblr media
"When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." That’s what I was told.
Tumblr media
Who told you that?
Tumblr media
My...
Tumblr media
Hm...
Tumblr media
Mii-Yu?
Tumblr media
I’m...not sure...My memory is...unclear...
Tumblr media
Oh, that’s right, you’re missing your memories...
Tumblr media
Miu said she’d help me find out the truth but she’s been very preoccupied lately...
Tumblr media
Speaking of which, why the heck is Miu not here with us? Of everyone, I expected her to be here to check out the tower of tech...
Tumblr media
She’s still working on trying to revitalize Keebo...That’s all she’s been doing these past few months.
Tumblr media
Still?
Tumblr media
I’d have thought she’d have succeeded by now.
Tumblr media
Even if robots and AI’s are new pretty common around here now, such as Alter-chan, Sora-san and Gekkogahara-senpai...
Tumblr media
K1-B0′s technology is still, quite literally, out of this world. There’s not many variables that can be used in this universe to help completely fix him...
Tumblr media
And since his original blueprints no longer exist...It makes it even harder...
Tumblr media
Right...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What the hell is this place!?!?
*After arriving at the location, and being safely escorted away from the toxic gunk and fuel reservoir, the girls and Shuichi arrive at the Tower. And inside...
Tumblr media
Everything is made of tech! It’s like we’ve jumped back to the steampunk era!
Tumblr media
Kaede, I’m pretty sure there’s no such thing...
Tumblr media
All this tech is pretty impressive. It’s not as good as my magic though...
Tumblr media
I must admit...I expected things to be a bit more...modern.
Tumblr media
Yeah, like Kaede said, all of this seems to be based on industrial period technology.
???: The more modern technology is higher up you know?
Tumblr media
Huh?
*Everyone turns in the direction of the voice.
Tumblr media
...
Tumblr media
Oh, hey there! We’re here visiting the new facility. Do you work here?
Tumblr media
Of course...What an idiot...
Tumblr media
(Does...Does she know that I heard her? Talk about rough company.)
Tumblr media
So...who are you?
Tumblr media
Mona. I’m in charge of weapon manufacturing here.
Tumblr media
Weapon Manufacturing? I thought this was a research facility...?
Tumblr media
Yes. I research weapons. And then I develop them.
Tumblr media
Future Foundation pride themselves on not using inherently violent methods to succeed in their goals, but without military power, we may as well be easily squashed flies. That’s what my division is for in the tower. So, please, I’d appreciate it if tourists didn’t start causing a scene.
Tumblr media
Talk about rude...
Tumblr media
She’s probably just on edge...I would be too if I moved all my things to a new location with very little prep time...
Tumblr media
Sorry if we’re being a bother Miss, but we’re not tourists...We’re here for business reasons, I promise.
Tumblr media
Miss? Don’t call me that...I’m only 17.
Tumblr media
17!? You’re the same age as us then!?
Tumblr media
And yet you’re one of the lead weapon manufacturers?
Tumblr media
Well...I AM an Ultimate Student. I graduated early so I could help the foundation out.
Tumblr media
Wow! So there really are other Ultimate Students besides us!
Tumblr media
Besides you?
Tumblr media
Yes! We’re Ultimate Students too! I’m the Ultimate Pianist, Kaede Akamatsu.
Tumblr media
These are my friends, Tenko, Himiko, Shuichi and...
Tumblr media
Mii-Yu?
Tumblr media
...
Tumblr media
Huh?
Tumblr media
...
Tumblr media
U-Um...Uh...
Tumblr media
Mii-Yu? Are you...ok?
Tumblr media
YES!
Tumblr media
Ah, sorry...yes.
Tumblr media
Wait...are you a robot?
Tumblr media
Yes!
Tumblr media
I’d heard about a robot hanging around the Future Foundation main offices lately but...Wow! I never thought I’d actually get to meet her!
Tumblr media
Oh, so she CAN smile?
Tumblr media
It’s...quite nice to meet you...too?
Tumblr media
Apologies.
Tumblr media
What are you apologizing for?
Tumblr media
For being so uncharacteristically stiff. I’m not usually like this, so I am sorry.
Tumblr media
*sigh* No...no, I’m the one at fault here...I know that I can come off as a little rude and unfriendly, but...
Tumblr media
I promise, I’m not a bad person. How about I show you and your friends around?
Tumblr media
That would be really nice. Thank you Mona-chan!
Tumblr media
M-Mona-chan!? C-C’mon, you don’t need to be so formal...
*Mona and Mii-Yu begin to walk as Mona starts to give the grand tour of the tower.
Tumblr media
Um...what just happened?
Tumblr media
I...I guess we’ve got a tour guide now?
Tumblr media
That was...a little weird, but I’m not about to look this gift horse in the mouth...
Tumblr media
Let’s go gang!

Hi! It's been awhile since I've been into your Tumblr. I was wondering if you can fill me up since I really don't have that time to backread. (I'm so sorry!) The last part that I've read is that they save Hibiki and the whole class welcomed her then she became Hajime's roommate. I'm really sorry for this. I just really love your blogs but I have tons of work to do.
//That’s alright and thank you for your support! But man, you’ve missed out on a lot ^^;
//Here’s the important stuff that’s happened since then:
Hibiki confessed to Hajime and they’re dating now, she had a bad episode that lead to Hajime admitting he’s from the future, so she’s part of the Quantum Crew Now and has since changed her appearance
The Voids and Setsuka were also told about the future
Umeko and Setsuka were reunited and now they’re back together
Kotoko was diagnosed with HIV and she’s now living under the identity “Kurumi Tsumiki,” Mikan’s little sister
While searching for Nagisa, the QC encountered Akane Taira, who it turns out also had a bit of an agenda of her own. After another confrontation, it turns out that Sora- the protag of SDRA2- is also alive and living in her head (she’s an AI and Akane has a neural implant in her head). They both joined the QC as well
Yoruko and Sora aren’t really dating yet, but they’ve admitted they love each other
Kokoro’s been trying to repair her relationship with her estranged daughter Mikako, which has been very rocky, but they’re making gradual progress
Mikako’s also become friends with Kazuichi, who’s working on moving on from Sonia after she made it clear she doesn’t likehim
Nagito and Kanata have been hanging out, growing closer, and now they’re officially dating.
Masaru was badly beaten by his father and has been staying at the hospital, where he’s become friends with Midori, who he wants to join the Warriors of Hope. His father was arrested and be
Most critically, Junya and Haiji have finally responded to Kasugano’s ultimatum. First they tried to have their goons kidnap Kanata, which failed thanks to Nagito’s luck. Then Mahiru, Hiyoko, and Sato, who were investigating Kasugano as well, were kidnapped by a fake cop. Sato managed to escape, but Mahiru and Hiyoko are now being held hostage and they’ve given Kasugano a deadline of August 14th to reveal his identity and give up or something terrible with happen to the girls.
Hajime’s decided to declare war and now we’re gearing up for it
//If I missed anything, please let me know

JUDY AND MARY Lyrics: Hitotsu Dake (ひとつだけ; Just One)
English translation and romanization below the cut.
ENGLISH
I watched fragments of memories with opera glasses, so terribly young and adorable My bitter memories always change shape and are kind to me
I’ll embrace my gut feeling, kiss the wind, and find out for sure with the palm of my hand
Sunset marks the beginning of summer. Sunflowers bloom on my skirt Get wet in the rain and color the flower petals Gather up all the blindingly bright light
Don’t say goodbye. I’ve got just one wish I’m waiting for summer
If I bloom, use your arms to shine on me If I cry, use your singing to make the sky blue
There’s just one in the sky to this very day I always miss it so bad It makes me waver, it makes me waver
The blues and the moon bring out the stars, the glimmer within me We poured love over it all, never letting things wither and made a pinky swear, a promise
I feel like I might waver. Don’t leave me See me for yourself. Summer’s out there waiting On the far side of the wind
If I bloom, use your arms to shine on me If I cry, use your singing to make the sky endless
There’s just one in the sky to this very day Everything is always so gentle and sweet I can still see just one to this very day It wavers, wavers, wavers

Homura Reviews: .hack//The Movie: Beyond the World
Trying to get myself to watch more things on MyAnimeList so I just started at the top, I can’t even remember putting this one on my list???
.hack//The Movie: Beyond the World is one of many installments in the .hack// franchise.  Like previous installments, it revolves around a MMORPG known as The World, a game that has many mysterious properties and legends surrounding it.  The protagonist is middle schooler Sora Yuki, a girl who initially dislikes computer games until finally convinced to join her friends, playing as a male avatar called Kite.  However, upon getting very involved in the world, several players, including a close friend, fall unconscious, and Sora finds that she might have something very important that will help solve the virus afflicting The World.
Animation/Art: 7/10. The art takes on a 3D model format this time around; I’ve only watched a handful of other .hack// installments, but this is the first one I’ve seen that does that.  It feels a lot like watching a very long video game cutscene with the legit game models.  The animation isn’t terrible, and the lip synch is great, but something about the character faces seems often quite stilted, and their motion can be a little jerky at times.
Music: 4/10.  It does the job of setting the scene, but as far as video game franchise music goes, it’s somewhat unmemorable.
World:8/10.  In my opinion, in comparison to previous .hack// anime I’ve watched, it does a much better job of really making the setting fun and engaging, and does a great job of working in gaming elements to the fantasy world.  Lost points are for one, not spending enough time in the game world for my own personal liking, and for two, not really pushing on a lot of concepts that would have been really cool to see more of.
Characters: 5/10.  Tbh...they’re cute and fun, but I didn’t find any of them particularly memorable, and I was often forgetting names, especially since everyone had two; one for irl and one for online.  I totally wasn’t invested in the weird and unnecessary love triangle subplot, either.
Plot: 6/10.  Ehhh....tbh, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the original .hack// anime, and while I enjoyed this one a bit more, it still suffered from some of the same problems in my opinion.  It had a very, very slow-paced start, and functioned around basically the same plot I got out of previous encounters with the franchise: the game is infected, people lose consciousness and get stuck inside the game, federal officials come in to start investigating, and it comes down to one particular player to fix everything, usually with the help of the god AI that lives inside the game.  Nothing was particularly innovative about the story itself.  Perhaps if I understood more of .hack//’s lore I would be more invested, but every attempt I’ve made to delve into the franchise has left me even more confused by it’s timeline and overarching story.
Overall: 6/10.  It wasn’t BAD, like...it was entertaining, and the settings and backgrounds were nice.  But overall I spent most of the movie checking to see how much time was left.
Not one I’d recommend unless you’re really into the franchise, or you really like MMORPG anime
hey, at least it was probably leagues better that Sword Art Online from what I heard of that

My Thoughts on Sora Gumi's “Chateau de la Reine / VIVA! FESTA!”
So this is way overdue as I intended to write it a week before senshuraku after my last show… but because I spent too much time rewatching old Sora Gumi shows to cope with Mirion’s taidan I didn’t have time to write down my thoughts until now…
Overall, I love both the musical and the revue. The musical made me laugh and cry, and the revue was one of the most exciting Takarazuka experiences I’ve ever had. However, while I love this show, I’m a little conflicted about it being Mirion’s taidan (something I’ll mention later).
“Chateau de la Reine” is Tabuchi-sensei’s first Grand Theater show. I’ve really liked some of Tabuchi-sensei’s previous works (“Victorian Jazz” has a special place in my heart, and “Sanctuary” was pretty solid), so I was fairly excited when I heard he’s finally making his Grand Theater debut. One reason I like his works is that they’re not as “romance-centric’ as other Takarazuka shows. The two protagonists still fall in love, but their romance is more of a side plot (the obvious exception is Yuki Gumi’s “Roman Holiday). Although some fans have said that he lacks the sensitivity necessary to write a Takarazuka play, I personally like it when romance isn’t the main focus.
This style is evident in “Chateau de la Reine.” Love wasn’t really ~in the air~ until the very end when Kitashirakawa and Reiko got together (which was adorable, whenever I saw Kitashirakawa held out his hand to Reiko I always squealed a bit). The main focus is the comedy. For a show that actually has a quite serious topic (an old couple attempting to commit suicide), it was hilarious. I LOVED it when Maa-sama waved her long arms and legs around because she was “possessed” by the writing angel, when Mirion pushed Maa-sama behind a sofa, and when Zun-chan tried to run away even though Akki held onto her backpack. Yes, it’s slapstick humor, BUT I COULDN’T GET ENOUGH OF IT.
Another part of this show that I really appreciated was that a lot members of Sora Gumi got their own little plot. It’s great to see actresses who usually don’t have many lines in a Grand Theater Show to have their little moments. I specifically want to mention Ayaka Mari and Seoto Risa. Ayaka Mari finally got the Grand Theater time she deserved. She looked INCREDIBLE in a suit, and I love how evil she sounded. I was hoping that she would have a duet with Rinjo Kira, but at least she got to sing the Étoile. Seoto Risa was spectacular as the queen. At first I thought she was just a hotel attendant and was sad that she barely appeared (even though she looked adorable dancing to the song). Then BAM she appeared in an all-black dress sounding all authoritative and I was blown away. When she threw the baby off the bridge she sounded insane and evil - it was wonderful. Now I really want to see her as Sophie in “Elisabeth.”
However, the greatest part about this show is that despite all of its ridiculousness, IT MADE ME CRY. The message of “smiling when it’s tough” really got to me and I cried every time I watched it. Tragedies like “Konsaba” and “Hoshi ai Hitoyo” are wonderful and beautiful, but sometimes we just need a good old comedy that reminds us of how amazing life can be. Even though this isn’t a traditional taidan show – with its outrageous outfits (seriously, why?? The colors are blinding) and its hilarity – I think it really fits Mirion’s personality. As someone who’s always so cheerful and bright, I find it appropriate that her last show has a similar message.
“VIVA! FESTA!” was fun, exciting, and powerful – just not exactly what I had in mind for Mirion’s taidan. Don’t get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed this revue. My favorite is definitely the soran part, it was simply AMAZING. On my first day I was surprised because people in the audience actually YELLED BACK, which is weird because Takarazuka fans are usually really quiet. There was so much energy that it felt like the floor was shaking. The actresses were all super hyper and the audience was so into it. During my second show Seoto Risa was really close to me, and she was so excited that her haori fell - it was adorable. Just this segment alone captures what Maa-sama and Mirion’s Sora Gumi is all about - happy and full of energy.
Now onto the not-so-good things. To be honest if this were just any other revue I would’ve loved it. And I do really like it. But… it’s Mirion’s taidan, and she barely appeared. She had solo lines but no solo songs (unless you count the parade part), which is baffling because she’s SORA’S QUEEN AND SHE DESERVES A SOLO. She did have a little dance with the other musumeyaku during soran (which further consolidates the soran part as my favorite part of the revue), and she did dance with the other otokoyaku during the finale, yet that’s hardly enough. Maybe I expected too much. Since she had a solo for the opening of “Hot Eyes!” I was hoping that she would have something similar this time… The only part that felt like a taidan was the duet dance, which was breathtaking. From the song (“Greatest Love of All,” I see what you did there) to the dry ice/smoke to the endless lifts, everything was beautiful. I cried when I saw her walk down those stairs because it finally hit me that this is indeed her taidan. So while I love this revue, I would love it even more if Mirion had more stage time. Brief notes on individual actresses… Asaka Manato: After seducing us with her long legs in “Elisabeth” (I will never forget how she slid across that table), in “Chateau de la Reine” Maa-sama put those long arms and legs to good comedic use with all the flailing and running into doors. Comedy is a difficult genre, but I couldn’t ask for more from Maa-sama. Yes, some bits were over the top, though nothing was cringe-worthy and you don’t feel that she’s “trying too hard.” She also somehow made me think that the annoying and arrogant Kitashirakawa is… cute, particularly in the end when she touched the back of her neck because she felt embarrassed for asking Reiko out. The revue really suited her. Now I can totally understand why her fans call her “Sora Gumi’s sun,” she’s just so happy and warm that it’s infectious. Misaki Rion: Do I need to say more except for “Mirion did great”? Her first solo song (もうひとりのエトランジェ) is my favorite song of the entire show, and her version of 笑えたら made me cry. I know a lot of people would prefer her to have something similar to Elisabeth as her taidan. Nevertheless, as I said before, I don’t mind that her last show is about a strong career-minded woman who keeps trying regardless of all the obstacles in her way. I also just want to quickly mention how well she acted during the revue when Maa-sama died. She didn’t speak at all, yet from her actions and expressions you can tell she was devastated, shocked, and confused as to why there was so much hatred. When most people think of Mirion they think of her singing (rightfully so), but her acting never disappoints as well. I’m sad that she’s graduating, though I’m certain that she’ll have a fantastic career in front of her. Makaze Suzuho: Ah, Makaze… constantly wrecking my bias list. She was convincing as the “how dare you annoy me but I’ll still help you” Louis XIV, and her singing was solid. It’s beyond me how she looked so good in the revue. During the “witches’ festival” part, when she ran out in a blue outfit and danced to that electric guitar song, I felt that I needed to reconsider who my favorite sora gumi otokoyaku is. I also love how she acted like she OWNED the place when she sang the solo for soran. Aizuki Hikaru: Ai-chan proved, once again, that she can act as crazy and over the top characters (though at least this time, unlike “Top Hat,” she’s not the only one who’s over the top). Sometimes I still wonder how someone who’s so proper off stage, and whose dream role is Rudolf from “Mayerling,” is Alberto from “Top Hat.” In the revue she covered a K-Pop song with other otokoyakus. While I love Ai-chan and her voice, I personally don’t think she was the right choice for the boyband concept. Her singing is too “musical-like” for a K-Pop song thus it felt a bit unnatural. Nonetheless, I’m not complaining that much because all the winking made up for it. Sumiki Sayato: Akkii’s previous characters were more of the “gentleman” type, so Makoto is quite different for her. It was weird seeing Akkii, who has the reputation of behaving and looking like royalty, acting as a jerk. But she did well as the grumpy and clueless cop. I would love to see her challenge more roles that are different from her usual style. And, is it just me or did her singing improve? I really enjoyed her duet with Zun-chan in the finale. Sorahane Riku: Riku also broke out of her comfort zone for this musical. She was great as the flamboyant and happy Crayon, and you can tell she had a lot of fun walking around in those incredibly high heels. When Crayon and Makoto kissed in the end the whole audience went “aww”  (including me). In the revue, Riku acted as a bull who went up against a matador (Maa-sama). Props to her for making her hair VERTICAL and acting super “bull-like” (especially the way she moved her leg). Sakuragi Minato: Zun-chan was ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE as the timid Togawa. In the Takarazuka run her hairstyle was still normal, but in the Tokyo run she had terrible (or amazing, depends on how you look at it) bed hair in that the back of hair went upwards. It was too cute. She sounded like a kid and looked like an elementary student on a field trip with her backpack. Then the revue began and all of a sudden she became a handsome otokoyaku – it caught me off guard. She had a ginkyo solo after the prologue that she totally nailed. I can already see the beginning of her transformation into a more mature otokoyaku and I can’t wait for her future shows. Junya Chitose: It’s good to have funny Seko back after seeing how seriously scary she can be in “Elisabeth.” I love the way she talks, there’s like a little bounce in her voice. And her “drunken walk” was so good that I was always afraid she’s going to fall off the ginkyo. Sadly she didn’t get to sing much in neither the musical nor the revue. She did sing a bit during the “witches’ festival” part. When she started singing I was like “wow who is this? Oh, it’s Seko, that explains the powerful voice.” Kazuki Sora: Sora was her usual delightful self and the role fitted her perfectly. I found her “broken Japanese” to be very endearing. Also, during one of the shows I was sitting close to the side stage, and she was standing near me for the parade. She looked at me in the eye and that already made me really happy. Then before she left to return to the main stage, SHE WINKED AT THE PERSON IN FRONT OF ME. I freaked out even though it wasn’t meant for me because 1) it was in my general direction 2) it was VERY DESTRUCTIVE. Needless to say, I’ll pay more attention to her now. Tldr: I liked both “Chateau de la Reine and VIVA! FESTA!” Both could have had more Mirion, but both were solid shows that I highly recommend. These two shows also taught me that I should never judge a book by its cover (when I first saw the poster and the trailer I was horrified by how ugly the outfits were). I really like the current Sora Gumi, and am terribly sad that this era is coming to an end. Good luck to Mirion! And good luck to the rest of Sora Gumi! :D

I took forever to do it again so I got tagged by multiple people XD
Rules: Tell your followers 11 random facts about yourself and tag 11 people. Tag backs are allowed but if you get tagged again, you must not repeat any of the facts you mentioned in the previous round. The facts can be absolutely anything, whatever you feel like sharing and whatever comes to mind first.
I got tagged by: @muffindounat @korean-craziness and @suitcasesoffeathers thank you guys~~~
1. I’m sick right now lol and when I’m sick & I’m by myself, I feel so miserable and I’m constantly wishing I had someone around who could take care of me lol. But when I’m not by myself I also don’t let myself act as miserable as I am cuz I don’t want to make anyone feel like they have to do anything. 2. I’ve been cosplaying for almost 9 years now I’ve mostly cosplayed Kingdom Hearts characters and all together have done 20 cosplays (wow, this is news to me) including Yato and Minami who are WIPs. I’ve done both Sora and Kairi multiple times from multiple games (and an AU outfit for Sora), as well as two different outfits for Yukine. 3. I really really love the Carolina Hurricanes, my local NHL team and also the team I work for currently. I’m as passionate about them as I am any of my fandoms. 4. My metabolism is great but my health is not. I don’t eat very healthy and I know it, but I also don’t know how to really change because I literally cannot stomach a lot of foods due to texture or just very strong taste aversion. 5. I honestly struggle every time I try to do one of these. I feel like I don’t have enough interesting things to say and I feel like I end up telling people stuff they already know. 6. I’ve been  regularly writing fanfiction since I was 11 so that means I’ve been doing it for 13 going on 14 years.  7. I wanted to be a Veterinarian when I was a kid. That changed from novelist to tech theatre designer to film editor and now I don’t know. I still would love to be a film editor or a tech theatre designer or crew member but it seems like I don’t have enough experience to even get a beginner’s job in any field so I don’t know. 8. I’m really excited for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue but I feel like I need to finish Pokemon Moon first because I still haven’t. 9. I want my own apartment so badly. When I can afford that, a good amount of stress will go away I’m sure. Not all of it, but a good chunk. 10. If I could take a formal Japanese class again and continue learning, I would be in heaven. I took it for 3 years in college and I absolutely loved it but I’m so terrible at self-learning. Memrise helps a little but not a whole lot =/ 11. I’m terrible with babies. If I decide to have kids, I want to adopt an older kid because I think it’ll be better for both of us that way. Also I’m terrified of childbirth and I’m also terrified of the United States’ foster care system and how much these kids have to go through so yeah I think it really works for the best.
