#there's a lot that I would choose multiple for#like there's no real preference for hard or soft cover books but if it's a large non-fic or picture book then I like it hard#if novel I prefer soft because it's harder to turn the pages at times#same goes for the bookshop library thing#though I've not checked out a book from the library in ages#only ever used the receipt as a bookmark... gives the book some history when I look at it again in the future#also had a thing where I hated damaging my books#like no breaking the spine or no slightly bending a page#got bit sad when I see my books bend open (or something) at some random page#but recently I buy second hand books to read and they're filled with bends and dog ears and little random notes#if I own the book I now bend open the pages and mark where I've been with a corner fold#I like looking at the past readers reading history and when I read my book again it'll show where I read up to and all that cool stuff#gives the books some personality and history#however I only do that with soft books#never doing that for a hard cover#am evil lol#maybe there is a preference to the hard and soft covers#lmaaaooo

#slow damage#i wasn’t crying what no not at allllllll#ugh what a beautiful most perfect ending i’m so so happy for towa <3 <3 <3#yo what a great game#i honestly did not expect to like this game so much lmaooo but it’s been a rollercoaster of a ride#especially since it took me over a month to play it but it really took a chokehold over my mind the whole time and i loved it#i can’t believe i read an eroge for the plot lmaooo yo this story was so good wtf#so beautiful and dark and captivating#even if some ‘twists’ were a bit predictable the way they were presented made it all the more interesting#and i was so attached to all the characters even the side characters#i cried a bit during the last exploration segment when we said goodbye to all the characters#and the art and visuals and the music ugh i love this game so much!#never quite got a hold on the interrogation mechanic but eh like i said before i appreciate the concept of it#ugh again i wish i can wipe my memory so i can play this game for the first time again </3#i hope i can get all the fanart outta my system before the hyperfixation fades away lol#anyway! i’m sad now goodnight#michi yaps

#he does not have a name yet but he DOES have a vague concept. author from the eastern union who got drafted into the military and--#--met another guy during the 1 week he had b4 getting shipped out to basic training. they immediately develop a WAY intense relationship--#--and constantly send letters to each other. author is a total chickenshit and comes to cope w the violence of war thru--#--alcoholism and a complete retreat into his obsession w the other man. gets a couple wires crossed and has his lust morph into more + more#--violent fantasies that the other man plays along w bc its Fun+Wild (at its core its the authors desire for CONTROL. if hes the one--#--bringing the pain then hes safe. even better if its with the single person in existence he feels like he can trust during that--#--period of time). manages to live throughout the rest of the war and rushes back to his lover. spends a slowly degrading week w him where-#--the man comes to realize what he thought of as simple metaphor+exaggeration was TRUE desire from the author + the author flounders--#--without the then expected+familiar terror day in and day out. culminates in the man demanding the author leave and never try to contact--#--him again (saying their romance was wild and exciting and unlike anything hed ever experienced but the only good way it couldve ended--#--was if the author died out on the front and forever left him Wanting without the actual reality of those desires realized) and the--#--author either tries to shoot himself or the man (fails to do so. lol) b4 running off to the first train out of town. worlds messiest guy#ya it leans a bit into samarie territory but hes fun. his theoretical ending b would probably have smth to do w sylvian worship + marriages#even more vague idea for his moonscorched form is a sopping wet pathetic red wolf ('red wolf' being one of the mans terms of endearment--#--thru their wartime love letters) w its legs tangled up in barbed wire so it has to drag itself around. red bc its incredibly--#--thin skin (<-- do you get it .) splits and bleeds thru with every movement. a lot of whining and incoherent babbling as it hesitates to--#--ACTUALLY attack anybody. should have some cock horror element but ive no ideas on that front LOL#skill ideas are persistence predator (more melee damage dealt the less mind hes got- a backstory choice where he focuses entirely on the--#--love letters rather than splitting focus on his on-pause career with short stories) and an unnamed one playing into his terror/lust deal-#--where he gets a buff to either melee damage or speed when his phobia is active. want to come up with at least one more though#mmmaybe him being an author doesnt play that well into his concept as a whole but hes my strangeguy so whatever

I've been playing the new cotl update and I generally like it but god do I fucking hate like all of the balance changes just let things be strong man
#rat rambles#like Im ok with the dice relics getting nerfed because they were pretty rediculous before#but making them fragile relics is absolutely terrible and unacceptable#I dont wanna be mean abt it but like time and time again theyve nerfed things way too fucking hard and only some of them get unfucked#like I am not even slightly exaggerating when I say this one change has made all of the dice the worst relics in the game#making them a one time use just completely fucked up the balance of them especially when theres other relics that are also deeply powerful#for getting health And are good damage dealers#it also showcases that they do not understand just how bad most of the fragile relics already are#like genuinely I am baffled by this decision its been making this update so much harder to enjoy#also apparently they massively lowered the level cap which? sucks so fucking bad?#like there's ways to let things be strong without being overpowered#like literally just make it harder to level up followers as they get to the stupid high levels thatd be a much better way to go about it#because lemme tell you its obnoxious to go out of your way to pour that much attention into a follower but rewarding#and for the dice and similarly broken relics just add an extra slow charge speed#you can throw kalamars ear into that pile too along with the bomb one since it's never worth picking up as a fragile relic#like I do genuinely like this new update and what it adds so far its just that the actual yknow gameplay got a smidge bit worse#and since I like the combat in this game any negative changes on it hit much harder than most quality of life stuff#also for the actual new content I do like it but I do hope this is the last big content update at least for a while#I worry abt the game becoming too crowded with mechanics to the point it stops feeling like a coherent game#and to be clear in my personal opinion this update is already bluring the lines of those fronts#again I do genuinely rly like this update it just makes me worry abt the future of this game#I hope if they do make another larger update they focus more on expanding upon already existing mechanics instead of making new ones#like I think sin could rly use more things to do with it#like with how many ways there are to generate it its strange that almost all of the things you do with it are cosmetic#although tbf I havent been dungeoning much today so maybe theres some hidden stuff to use sin for there lol#also one huge thing that Im confused by is the choice to put the sewing building on the first tier of the inspiration tree#cause it uses silk. aka the stuff from the last dungeon most players unlock#I feel like itd be more appropriate to put it as an ofbranch of the housing tree#so basically my review of this update is that its fun and I like the new mechanics but they do feel a bit half baked#and Im not a fan of the balance changes and Im also not a fan of the gun but thats more of a me problem

watched alex's goodbye episode yesterday and i am conflicted
#from what i heard from people i thought it was gonna be something else entirely#i thought he was gonna screw up things with jo and be single and he'd be drunk most of the time#he'd fight someone to death or similar and he'd lose his career and fail to his potential#i had heard some izzie whispers but i didnt know how that was gonna play out#and i see why people hate it but as an izziealex truther.... part of me is so happy 😭#but then i look at the bigger picture and IT DOESNT ADD UP#the writers never managed to write izziealex like they deserve and this is it#and also jo being colateral damage is sooooo evil and so badly done#in the last few seasons i've grown to love jo and her relationship with alex#them getting married for real... only for a half a season later alex leave her for izzie?#just doesnt add upppppp#i think bc my expectations were genuinely alex is gonna end a criminal i am not as disappointed as i thought i would be#i think that if they had explored this storyline and brought katherine back it would make more sense#or if they had shown us everything that alex said he did (contacting izzie seeing the kids and the farm their chemistry)#i dont wish he had been killed off but there really wasnt that many ways to explain him being gone#i just wish him and jo never got married. they should have forgotten about the marriage license a bit longer. put a rift between them for#whatever reason#bc alex truly would never leave jo#im sad im never seeing alex and mer together again 😭#maggie and amelia are INSUFFERABLE#isa.txt
