My favourite Youtube flavour is just A Person with a dozen or so super indepth videos on [insert specific niche interest]. Like, for a few years I've followed this one dude who fucking loves himself some Jurassic Park and comparing the novels to the movies. JP's not even a huge thing for me, I like just listening to him talk about it.

And this is all leading to a frankly excellent way to spend a humid Christmas Eve: watching a video essay on the themes of confronting death in Plague Dogs and Watership down while wrapping presents.
