hello hello hello! I just finished binging amor lunae and amor solis and I thought I'd pop in to do a quick rant about it because I loved every bit of it so much!!
first of all, im a sucker for god aus. as a guy whose childhood was filled with nothing but Percy Jackson Percy Jackson Percy Jackson, god aus are an absolute weak spot for me. I love them so dearly, and yours was incredible.
beyond that though, I specifically LOVE the trope of the sun and the moon falling in love!! ive not actually seen anything where it actually happens (your fic was the first) but ive always been in love with the concept and your execution of it was absolutely stunning. proteus as the moon and solara as the sun worked so perfectly!
oh gosh I had so much more to say but ive lost my train of thought.
I rarely cry when I read or watch things. I don't know what it is, but I struggle with really feeling what the characters feel, and I could count the number of times a piece of media has made me cry on a hand and a half, but I was on the brink of tears practically the entire time I was reading. I don't know what it was particularly, but something about your writing style made it feel like I was transported to that world. I could feel the majesty of the heavens and the aching of both proteus and solara (and medea, im so sorry buddy) and the overwhelming love they had for one another. their willingness to give up everything just to be with one another was suffocating in the best way possible.
a lot of the time with those types of emotions, I find it unrealistic. I find it too overbearing for me to be able to actually immerse myself in them, but something about your writing made it so easy for me to understand. I felt everything they felt. I understood. of course solara would choose death over forgetting proteus. of course mumbo would give up his celestial status to be with grian. it was meant to be. they were meant to be. the stars and moon and sun all aligned in the precise way they did and the universe was created all for them to be able to love one another and it was perfect.
your playlist!! gods, your playlist was perfect. I love it when fic writers have their own playlists for their fits because it makes the experience so much better, and yours did not disappoint!! I put it on shuffle while I read. "From me, the moon" started playing when mumbo met grian for the first time in amor solis and the lyrics paired with the scene made me cry. nothing could've prepared me for how much aching I'd feel while reading it. 1,672 years and 20,064 months and 610,711 days of loss and longing and I felt it and it hurt but everything fell into place for that one moment and it was worth it.
oh gosh I could keep going forever but this got way too long. I just adore this fic with all my heart and my soul and my being. I feel like it's genuinely done something to me. it feels like something's shifted in the way I see the world, and maybe that's a dramatic thing to feel about a piece of writing about some block people falling in love, but I don't care. im in shambles. I dont know if I'll ever be whole again. im grian, having everything I could possibly want, but knowing something's inexplicably out of place. there's something wrong and no way to know what.
im not the biggest fan of scarian (im much more a grumbo guy), but I may just read your scarian stuff purely because it's your work.

I love the trope of the sun and moon falling in love so much. I think it came from the whole “character who’s the embodiment of the sun is shipped with character who’s the embodiment of the moon” concept, and grumbo fits that Very well.
but I??? 🥹 that’s such a huge compliment I’m so. uwahhh 🥹💕 I’m really glad that my writing made you feel all that <33 it’s always my goal to pull people into the worlds that I create and bring some kind of immersive feeling through my words. so knowing I managed to make you feel all that and it felt realistic is really !!!!!!!
and the playlist !!!! augh !!!! that’s the very first thing that I made for this au. it existed before amor lunae did. fun fact, I put the songs in a vague chronological order, going from when proteus and solara met, to when solara dies. I’ve written most of that au with that playlist going, and omg I could Not imagine reading those fics with the playlist going… you’re the bravest omg.
I love making playlists for my fics though :D every major au that I have has a playlist for it hehe
but 🥹💕 this au definitely holds a very special place in my heart. it’s a work that’s really important and very personal to me. I’m really happy that you enjoyed it <333

So I reread Echo again today, and I have some more questions! Are Penny and Pete mated as well? Because I'm trying to figure out why Ronnie, a human who has Bradshaw blood, isn't treated as a full member of the pack, while it appears that Penny is because of her relationship with Pete. Or is Bradley just a complete idiot and just forgets about Ronnie as a pack member because he doesn't have a wolf connection with her since she is just human? Like, how was Ronnie treated in the pack when their father was alive?
Also, was Carole Blue River's Luna and if so, does it hurt the pack in any way when their Luna dies? Did it hurt Nick when she died? (sorry for the angsty questions!)

Are Pete and Penny mated? Nope! They're just in love. It's rare (in my universe at least, i am making a good 80% of this up) for Betas to even have mates. So, it's not that Penny is more included than Ronnie. Penny doesn't come to pack meetings. Penny doesn't mind that she's not invited. She's not a werewolf and she's okay with that.
Is Bradley just an idiot? Yes. (lol sorry my boy) It's not that he forgets about Ronnie. It really is just the simple fact that she isn't a werewolf and there are some things he thinks are just werewolf business and she can't really help with it. Ronnie wants to belong. Wants to contribute, wants to help. And most of the time that comes out with her just arguing back against anything Brad says. And as a new Alpha, he doesn't wanna seem weak to his pack...so maybe he also leaves her out for that reason too (listen I'm not saying that brad is kind of an entitled sob who has had his entire life handed to him on a silver platter and who may or may not be going down some similar road as bellmoral but also yes i am)
How was Ronnie treated in the pack when her father was alive? She wasn't invited to pack meetings when her father was alive. So she snuck into them until he finally just said screw it and let her sit in lol this is right around that time when she was supposed to turn but didn't and Nick refuses to turn her himself. Nick understands, probably more than anyone because he was there when her life got chewed up and spat out, Ronnie's need to feel involved with the pack. Is he the one who starts her on her werewolf history/research journey? Yep!! And because of his acceptance and understanding, he embraces her pushback and her questioning him. Brad never really did.
Was Carole Blue River's Luna? Yep!! She was a Born Wolf in Blue River with a massive crush on the Alpha's son. Then Nick became Alpha and lo and behold she was his mate.
Did it hurt when she died? It hurt everyone when she died. Nick lost his connection to her, the bond severed in death leaving just kind of a void and dull ache that never went away. For the pack, the loss isn't as acute or long-lasting, but it's still painful. Their Luna is a personification of the Moon Goddess on earth, their matriarch, the other half of their leadership, that kind of loss is indescribable.

I like wearing dark, gothic, or cottagecore clothes and enjoy shopping, video games like Pokémon and cooking, baking. Sharing food is my love language including physical touch. I'm a fantasy nerd and daydream a lot. I also write sometimes. I get frequent migraines but being outside in fresh air helps a lot.
Very silent at first, but after some time I'm my true cheerful and loud self. But I'll adapt to the situation if I need to be more quieter. I learn pretty quick, I'm independent and won't take any disrespect. If someone were to insult my friends I'd go feral and hate when people torment others and abuse their "power.
I can be a little "sneaky" and play small pranks on my friends in real life, if they're fine with it. I'm ambitious and stubborn, but not reckles and actually prefer to do things the safe way. My humor is pretty dry and I adore making my friends laugh. I've often been described as giving off weird, but kind cousin/older sister vibes and I'm definitely a little eccentric (I relate to Luna from HP a lot).

let me tell you why.
- Eomer is absolutely enamoured the moment he first lays eyes on you. And when someone like him comes along, obviously you are, too. Everyone would be, right? Well, maybe not everyone. But he’s so strong willed and loyal and he follows his heart even when it breaks the rules, and all that just makes it really hard for you not to fall in love with him.
- You don’t talk, at first, but because he’s - not arrogant, no, but certainly not above a little mocking - he soon hears you speak up. That situation does set your impression of him back a bit. He’s just as quick to redeem himself, though; he’d never meant to actually insult someone and he has no problem apologising to you. And he realises instantly that he couldn’t have done anything better because you talk to him after that, you really talk and open up to him and he’s never enjoyed getting to know someone more.
- He loves your stubborn, your ambitious side, especially because you don’t tend to do reckless things. The way you can stand up for yourself and for others, how you have the perfect plan to keep things safe, a skill that some would call strategic wonder, how it just so happens that you don’t let people step on your toes, he just cannot do anything but fall helplessly for you. Are strong women his type? I guess so.
- When you play little pranks on him, you realise very quickly that it’s really, really hard to get him to even flinch. He is so not easily scared. So you make it a competition. Of course you refuse to do anything hurtful and most of it is to make him laugh, or maybe it’s because he always wraps you up in his arms after you’ve tried to prank him again, but whatever the reason you don’t stop. And you won’t. Maybe you’ll get him to flinch at least once in your life.
- He definitely is the number one fan of your baking and cooking, partly because he’s always the first one who gets to eat it and also the one who gets most of it, even when you plan on sharing with others too. Sometimes when he has to go out for the day, he’ll walk up behind you while you take the cookies out of the oven, kiss your head and sneakily steal one that he’s already stuffed into his mouth and run away with before you can scold him - not that you’d mean anything you said, anyway, you always have the biggest grin on your face. Especially because he’ll turn around just before he’s out of the door and shout how good they are.
- Whenever you get a migraine, he’s the most careful, caring guy you could wish for. He makes sure you have whatever you need, and when the headaches are even worse than usual, he often stays home with you. He definitely joins you on walks or just outside with a book, or he gladly takes you with him for a horseback ride. He’s so gentle, so very gentle, the way he cups your face with such endless softness and care to make sure he doesn’t hurt you....... I’m crying over here, I love him sm. He strokes your head or loosely braids your hair or does literally whatever you ask of him, and he always, always is in range of touch, and unless you’re uncomfortable, he always is touching you in a way, soothing you, just brushing his thumb over your arm sometimes.
- There simply would be no one in the whole wide world who’d worship you more than he would.
