Wow, so many options to choose... ok, here’s my top 10:

I think nothing surpasses their last Shokugeki, where Souma literally poured his heart into a dish for his literal opponent just so that she’d feel better. The “fitting of a queen” part killed me. 👌

Erina’s inner monologue from the last scene of the last chapter.

Souma gawking at Erina under the moonlight and saying she looks prettier when she laughs. Fuck this shit.

“Nakiri is mine” was a freaking god-tier line.

The two looking at the stars on the train.

“We’re going to become second-years together, okay?” “Yeah. You bet.”

The second time Souma made a dish for Erina and proclaimed he was gonna make her say “it’s delicious” someday. I love that Erina decided to open up to him and his response was to show support in his own way.

Souma and Erina teaming up to fight Eishi and Rindou but instead having a Shokugeki of their own because Souma can’t control himself for shit.

“As expected, Nakiri... now that it’s come to this, we have no choice but solve this with food.”

Souma seeing Erina confront Alamo for the first time and then basically entrusting his whole academic future to her.

Thank you for being cool and collective with your Soueri posts. I feel like I've seen enough negativity in the shokugeki tags. Your posts are a breathe of fresh air. 😁 How do you think Soma is going to react next chapter, knowing he was the last person to see Erina before being kidnapped? I'm ready to see a more emotional Soma again.

And honestly, I don’t know how Souma will react. Souma’s reaction in this chapter surprised me, so I feel like I can’t properly gauge now how far the author will go with his character.

That being said, I assume the author is building towards Souma being somewhat emotional? Otherwise what was the point of making Asahi so antagonistic towards Souma, humiliating him in a shokugeki, taking his dad’s knife, claiming he’s the only one who could satisfy Erina’s tongue, and finally his threat of Erina going far away from him, if not to rile Souma up? And as you said, they made Souma the last one to have seen Erina, and even had Souma take notice of her beauty, so that elevated their relationship to a slightly different level.

I have to assume all of that is very intentional, because Souma will be the one with the biggest clue of who could be behind Erina’s disappearance, and the one with the most to gain back by challenging Asahi and getting Erina back.

And I’m with you, I have been DYING for a more emotional Souma. I want to see him upset, because I want to see some character development from him. Because it gets frustrating seeing him brush/laugh things off as if they are no big deal. The author really is trying to bring Souma very low here, while also taking away the girl he’s now beginning to notice. It’s an exciting setup. ^^ I just wonder how serious thing will get, because literally kidnapping the God’s tongue/headmistress of a school while a major exam is going on is something most people will probably notice. ^^’

Can I just say how much I loved all your Soeri fics/drabbles!! All of them!! But ok ok Akai Ito maybe be my absolute fave for just a little bit but my god! It was so amazing! I can’t get enough of them so I was wondering if you’re writing anymore fics/ drabbles? And sorry if you get this a lot haha but also I was wondering if you had any soeri fic recs? For the Sorina fics recommendation, I do have some favorites. I’ll link + give you a little of my thoughts below (in no particular order):

1. Kaleidoscope - read this if you’re okay with NSFW content. The smut is written beautifully and totally not overly exaggerated which I love! The 2nd chapter is where all the drama kind of spilled out, and you don’t want to miss the Erina - Soma - Megumi love triangle!

2. All the Days in Between - the author actually promised a multichapter and multiship fic, but so far there’s only one REALLY CUTE chapter of Sorina. I seriously love their interaction and the author’s use of language on Soma’s speech pattern.

3. Ruby in Gold - ugh where do I begin with this. I completely love this one shot! Probably one of my absolute favorite in the fandom. It’s so well-written, so fun to read, and you will totally read this more than once like I do. I’m out of words for this one lol it’s that good… and Soma sounds very charming.

4. Savior - this one is very, very steamy. Love how the author describe their little caught-up-in-the-moment accident in the closet. Like you would totally fan yourself. It’s super funny and in character too!

5. Late Night Lullabies - of course my narcissistic self had to include my own fic. this one is my very first Sorina work, so it has a special place in my heart, and people seem to love it maybe because how fluffy this trilogy is? I don’t know, be the judge!

6. Under the Mistletoe - it’s so fluffy you’d die! Love how Erina is in a big denial about her feeling towards Soma even after a few years since graduation. So beautiful, and when they kiss, my heart b u r s t s with joy!

7. On Casual Commitments - don’t even start getting me to talk about this. I love, love, loooove this series and the universe that revolve around it. You will totally find yourself immersed in this fic and drinking every words she writes. The scenes will play so vividly in your head because her straight-to-the-point approach which I love! The other thing I love about this is the use of vocabulary. They are so damn on point and you will not regret reading this. Another one of my absolute favorite! *bows down to @wishingforatypewriter*

8. An Expert Negotiation - still the same author from above, this is the proposal prompt I requested and it’s honestly E-VE-RY-THING! It’s so original, so cute, and it left me squealing so hard I almost cried (seriously). You really, really, really need to give this one a go!
