TFNation Commissions?

In 2017 I offered commissions for TFNation goers, which were picked up from me in the Hilton lobby via communicated updates. It was a nice and easy, no one had any issues finding me (I had a Lockdown on the table for easy finding).

Would anyone going be interested in a traditional commission, to be picked up AT TFNation in August?

Payment in advance, email updates absolutely, photo updates included unless you want to be surprised.

Ngl the money made will help me afford a ticket and hopefully a hotel as I currently don’t have either booked, and I haven’t missed a con since 2016. Will be x-posting this on Twitter and Instagram, too.

TFNation 2017 “Trial and Error” - unofficial conclusion to Transformers Animated, based on canceled season 4 story points.

This is the information I was able to gather about Tarn, Deathsaurus, and the DJD from Alex Milne and James Roberts during TFNation 2017.

Deathsaurus is on the same power level as Tarn.

Kaon is blind by James Roberts’ design.

Tesarus has an optic network behind the “X” on his face. (This can be seen briefly in the last issue of the Dying of the Light story arc.)

Tarn could affect a combined Combiner with his Voice without a problem. He could even cause them to de-combine.

Tarn’s Voice may have some problems affecting Overlord, but it would still cause damage and pain.

The only two that are stronger than Deathsaurus are Overlord and Megatron.

Megatron is the only one who can go toe-to-toe with Overlord

Tarn has OCD and will pick at the injuries on his face, hence the extensive scarring.

Tarn has slits on the sides of his face that he uses to amplify his voice or make it appear that he is speaking (and using his Voice) even though his lips aren’t moving.

In reference to Deathsaurus’s character... Deathsaurus had everything pretty well “sussed”, and things were going well for him...and then Tarn came along.

Deathsaurus, compared to some of the more “unhinged” villains, is more level-headed and just wanted to do right by his crew. He was pretty happy in his little corner of the universe up until Tarn and the Decepticon Justice Division came after him.

Since we announced Josh Perez will be in attendance at our 2017 event, a certain artist has been practically kicking in our door to join him! So it gives us great pleasure to announce that Alex Milne will be breaching our defences and motoring into TFNation 2017 to join his partner in crime!

Alex is a long time Transformers creator, having provided big bot battles with Devil's Due, Fun Publications and Dreamwave. As the main artist for IDW's TRANSFORMERS: MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE, it is through Alex's artwork that many memorable moments of the IDW canon have been played out in recent years. Life, death, love, hate, justice and betrayal… and that was just his first DJD issue! When comic readers think of characters like Skids, Cyclonus, Tailgate and Megatron, Alex's work is never far from their minds! Our attendees will no doubt be eager to learn of Alex's future involvement in MTMTE's sequel, LOST LIGHT. In addition to this, we are excited to learn more from Alex about his recent work on the ROM / TRANSFORMERS crossover!

The official website for TFNation has updated with the announcement that they will be offering an exclusive full length graphic novel based on Transformers Animated.  The comic titled “, Transformers Animated: Trial And Error,” is a 60 page graphic novel that will feature events of the unreleased fourth season of the series.  The comic will be written by Chris McFeely of TKWiki and Jim Soreson who worked on the Allspark Almanac. Ed Pirrie, Herzpalter, and Gavin Spence will be working as the illustrators of the comic with lettering by Andrew Turnbull.  The main cover art will be illustrated by Josh Perez who also is working on the original character designs.

TFNation 2017 will be held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole in Birmingham, UK on August 11 – 13.

I am finally back from TFNation and damn, what can I say? It´s my favorite Con every year and I don´t even know where to start thanking and greeting people. I made so many new friends and met the one from the other years and everything was just perfect. Just... thank you, guys!! The cosplay panel I was part of was SO much fun and I didn´t make a fool of myself. I was wearing my Tyrest armor for it and just sitting there, maybe introducing new people to the art and my material just felt right. Thank you for the interest!! The cosplay contest is always one of many highlights for me. So many awesome costumes in one place and everyone acting out their favorite roles in a great franchise... damn. :) This year I got second place and I am very very happy about it! Thanks again!!

In 2017, UK Transformers convention TFNation brought together a team of creators - me, Jim Sorenson, @kingoji @herzspalter, Gavin Spence, Andrew Turnbull, and @dyemooch - to create a 60-page graphic novel that gave Transformers Animated the ending it was denied! The project was 100% unofficial, non-profit... and until now, exclusive to the convention! For Christmas, TFN have released the full graphic novel to download - absolutely free! Okay...... Tfa blitzwing??? I just think he’s neat

First impression

Okay, so funny thing about him is that he was actually the second TFA character I ever saw. The first was Bulkhead, I had watched some clips of him like over a year before I finally watched TFA because someone on my Mario OC ask blog said Bulkhead would be a good voice claim for one of my OCs (they were right).

Then like. January 2017 (a few months before I would finally watch TFA in September), I saw fan art of TFA Blitzwing and was like Wow cool robot!! I still don’t know transformers but I will save this picture to my phone so I can remember it for later. (:

Then I actually started watching the show and was like HEY THAT’S THE GUY!! And then my actual first impression was Why do I get the feeling people are kind of weird and ableist about this guy.

Ok so unfortunately that first impression was kind of right, but that aside, I do like him a lot!! One thing I find very interesting about his character is that, of the Decepticons, we constantly see him questioning Megatron. Even in the Trial of Megatron thing they did for tfnation, it’s made note of that he doesn’t immediately kneel for Megatron and Shockwave has to tell him to do it. I always wonder if they were going somewhere with that??

I love how him and Lugnut kind of play the Jessie and James roles of TFA. ESPECIALLY in season 2 when they’re just running around doing stuff for Megatron.

Favorite moment

Not to make this about ProwBulk, but forever thinking about that one scene in Sari No One’s Home where Bee is on call with Sari and you just see him in the background with Prowl and Bulkhead pathetically trying to attack him together and then he tosses Prowl.

Actually the entirety of his appearance in that episode is really good. And his bickering in general with Lugnut.

Favorite relationship

Him and Lugnut’s friendship is hilarious, I love when they’re onscreen together. The hapless underling duo of the main villain is always a fun trope.

For romance... I really like Sunstorm/Blitzwing but that’s a whole essay about my headcanons for Susntorm’s character development.
