I don't normally make meta posts about the blog, but:

I really hope everyone who follows feels this blog is doing a good job for what it is intentioned to be.

When I first started putting this blog together my main drive was frustration.

I was frustrated that so many sites, blogs, pinterests, etc. would happily scrape the web for fantasy art while utterly disregarding the *real* people who make it and provide a sloppy "art from Bethesda" or even worse, not provide any feigned credit at all.

Artists deserve better.

I may not be able to always find the full detailed credit for each piece I post, but please know I'm genuinely spending at least an hour every day researching and digging as best I can so I can at *very least* find the studio name to credit for art.

Some art literally has no public attribution anywhere, but for these I at least can use the small profile of this blog to put out a call to the community in the hope that *somebody* may know who created a work of art.

I've always wanted this blog to be about TES art and the community's relationship with it. I've never wanted this blog to be anything more than an extension of the TES community in all it's best facets.

This blog is ran by me, but it is *not my blog*

This blog and everything in it belongs to the artists of TES and the TES community.

I hope I keep up the standards you expect from this blog. Please please please let me know if you ever see a mis-credit or have credit information to share with the rest of us. This blog is an extension of the passions of this community and I hope it helps serve as a source for others to discover the amazing artists of TES.

This all happened before I even got to the Arvel in Bleak falls, because in my early makings of Ieama/Rhiatrice, I decided to look at other faiths besides Hircine and instead of dipping my toe into a reasonable Daedric dogma. I chose the Mad God:

I did not get to a farm fast enough to test this out

Surprisingly not as bad as I thought, but it was hard to aim a bow, or a spell. Pretty sure I hit poor Lucien by mistake

Inverted controls didn't make Rhin accidently hit a ally only because she was to busy running into walls. Overcoming muscle memory in combat was a task

Rhin height is usually around Gore's shoulder so the change of height is, a little noticeable

Actually don't know what this did to her, and still wonder to this day

Anytime I preyed was a roll of the dice

This isn't part of preying to Sheogorath, but I decided to go back to Hircine shortly after this for my own sanity.

I like to think that disability of all kinds is very accepted and accommodated in much of orcish society, given their cultural emphasis on acceptance of the outcast and the socially excluded. Strength is valued, yes, but not only physically or in combat; strength of all kinds is prized, and not at the expense of the weak. Ostracising those with physical or mental limitations is entirely counter-intuitive (making them more vulnerable and so weakening the group) – by accommodating those limitations and supporting the individuals with them, the group as a whole is strengthened.

OHHHHH MAN I’ve had this idea in the works for a while but never committed until now because I was a coward. But I’m liking this design a lot >:)

The markings will be the bane of my existence but its okay because toe beans

I’m very excited to draw the new legs. Also I’m going to try to keep his tail a consistent length from now on, but no promises.

If you would like a rundown of all the changes, here’s a list:

Slightly different placement of horns (just pushed a bit farther back on his head)

This is so silly but It almost frustrates me watching the return to Morrowind trailers and thinking about all these cool jobs as artists and writers folks have. I can post a whole story worth of content for tes, (and I have) but I just don’t think I could ever be a concept artist for Bethesda. As progressive as the games are, they’ll never entertain my ideas of transness and I can’t be in a position as volatile as a disabled artist because I need good health insurance and access to meds or I will die.

#I was talking about this with someone yesterday & Im in a mood today #it’s frustrating being rejected by the community on a superficial trait #but over and over I feel the only space I have is the one I carve out on my own #anyways I want to do more community based stuff and I’m thinking about organizing a tesblr zine in the summer

So you're high as heck, tired as heck, you're INVISIBLE, and the local guards can't find you, and even if they could they couldn't cast any spells on you to lessen the effects, because magic just bounces off you.

Also, you might be chiming and glowing. But again, you're invisible, so all people see is a bright person-shaped outline standing in the middle of the street. It's humming. The children are crying.

having been sort of invested in two different communities of people talking about and trying to parse deep niche lore and worldbuilding for fantasy rpg video games now via getting into elden ring just makes me question what the fuck is wrong with elder scrolls fans so much more. they put something into pre-skyrim tes that makes people lose their shit on reddit.

#and that something is weird non canonical fanfiction written by a former dev maybe but whoagh #beloved tesblr mutuals excluded from this post. my valiant heroes and lore warriors. just talking about the difference in the General #Communities (eso on reddit and youtube!) and how they conduct themselves. whoagh #also i assume part of the difference is that er worldbuilding is better and more purposeful. 👍#esp* btw^ not eso. uagh
