I cant wait to start keeping isopods again. I miss them. If anyone wants to trade purple pigeon merch in the future (im in north carolina in the US) for some cool isopods lmk. Id like to get dairy cows, powder blues/oranges, a. vulgare in different colors. Anything like that. I may also need a springtail culture but im going to try to collect my own first.

I found this little friend while doing some yard work out front at my sister’s house. 10/10, good friend, very nice, wonderful tickling little legs, superb antennae.
Last night I had a nightmare where all my isopods got iridovirus and I couldn't save them and I woke up crying so thats how my mental state is going rn how is everyone else?
New isopod enclosure in the works. Gonna give it a few days before adding the iso-pals so that the live moss can try to get established in the setup before my shy, hungry lads munch on and bury themselves underneath it.
I'm calling this setup the Carboniferous Caverns. Isopods first appeared in the fossil record during the Carboniferous period meaning they've been living on Earth for over 300 million years :> I situated various pieces of bark partially into the substrate to form numerous different cool, dark caves that I'm sure the 'pods will love hiding in, hence the 'Caverns'.
