so many opinions. i just finished school spirits. art and cinematography, dude it’s just beautiful. i cried literally every episode, like i have bad nasal congestion rn and like this show was curing me, currently sniffling while writing this. the way they portrayed ghosts was very unique, here ghosts can’t walk through walls, they have to open doors. they can interact with the physical world but they can’t change anything, only in the metaphysical world can they alter things, but it’s only temporary, things reset, i’m not sure on the time frame of the metaphysical objects, but they can watch a whole movie on couches they moved from a room upstairs to the school gym so it must be a while. they can also eat food. you can’t interact with the living unless you have like super spirit interlinking soul connection with someone, and even then you can only talk to them in rooms/places where people have died. dude dying at a high school is my biggest nightmare, like i worked my entire life to get out of there, no wayyy you’re trapping me there for eternity. the twists in this show were honestly impeccable, you suspect a different person every episode, each twist had my jaw on the floor. i’m usually so good at guessing the killer in horror movies (like me and my family make a game out of it and i literally always win and they also never think i’m gonna be right) but this show had me perpetually guessing. this show also had a really different take on ghost stories that i feel like i don’t see enough, it really focused on the grief aspect, and it showed many different people handling it in many different ways. and like… dude, a murder mystery ghost story???? that’s so cool why haven’t i heard more people talking about this????
