Just rembered that Stiles' grandfather is canonically named Elias and I'm just... why would they name Derek's son Eli? Why make him so sarcastic and similar to Stiles, distinctly mention him PASSING OUT at the sight if his fangs, give him that strangely close relationship with the Sheriff, and even go as far as to have Stilinski PERSONALLY GIVE HIM THE JEEP???

At what point does it no longer count as subtext?

Chapter One

He wakes up in confusion. Lightning and Thunder fill his senses, and rain covers him. His memory is a blur, just out of reach.

But what he does know, from instinct or memory so deep it cannot be lost, is that something is missing. Or maybe someone. There’s a ghost of a hand on his hip and the back of his head that seem to whisper ‘find me’. He looks around but all he sees is the ruins and rain.

He struggles to his feet and looks around for anything to cover him. But everything is rags and pieces too small to be of use. He’s not sure what happened, maybe a tornado, though they’re nearly unheard of in the deserts of California.

But something catches his eye as he’s searching, a light not far away, Close to the stone arch that he has a whisper of memory of someone saying they were lucky. The same voice that had called him to find them. He walked closer, slick with rain.

It’s a stone, glowing in the storm. He kneels down to pick it up, and a wave of warmth cover him, he’s not any drier, but the rain no longer matters, and the stone starts to glow brighter.

He hears the voice again, louder in his head. ‘Find me’. He looks up at the stone arch, something drawing him closer. He lifts the stone higher, and the light spreads from the stone to the arch. Brighter and brighter.

He felt the stone pull him foward like a magnet towards iron. The light of the arch radiated heat and stepping into the light was like stepping into a shower.

It was like stepping through clouds, through fire, through an endless pool of water, and nothing like any of that. In a moment or a lifetime he was through to the other side, in a desert almost like the one he had left. Almost.

Hey guys,

Spending unhealthy amount of time in the tw fandom , I've noticed that , outside of a few posts here and there of people trying to recreate a Lydia Martin's looks , nobody talks about the fashion on the show.

Which is a shame , because I think that the costume department did put a fair amount of effort .It is especially commendable when it comes to (a couple of) the male characters , since even now it is hard to come across a fictional guy with a distinct fashion style.

So being a bit of a fashion enthusiast myself I've decided to w̶o̶r̶d̶ ̶v̶o̶m̶i̶t̶ compile a few posts where I talk about about the characters' style , style evolution , memorable outfits, etc. Obvioulsy , I am not going to talk about every one.I doubt anyone is interested in me waxing poetics about the twins' impecable choice of clothes.

To keep this from being just an announcement post I will start with the character that barely made the cut ... Jackson Whittemore !

He is quite fankly the first person you think of when you hear the description rich preppy asshole jock.

can't miss the leather jacket:

and a silky scarf paired up with sunglasses for when he is feeling particularly douchey :

He is only on the show for the first two seasons and he doesn't experience that much growth in the series . (At least not on screen). Though his style does seem a tad more relaxed in season 6. Less forced ? Maybe even a bit more approachable ?

and of course I have to mention his undeniable glow up in the movie where he turned into one of these gay guys that make you feel conscious for breathing weird :
