Every oneus cb i am reminded of how RIDICULOUS my bias journey with them was, like-
I got introduced to them just before twilight came out i think, and the first thing i was shown was their profiles. And the very moment i first saw keonhee i was like "that's him. I want him."
And did i get him?
NO. OF COURSE NOT.
So i spent the first few eras with a different bias who never really felt like a bias at all, then hwanwoong wrecked me during tbntb and don't get me wrong. I LOVELOVELOVE that boi so much but also not in a "you're the right bias" kinda way. So eventually i settled with just not having that kind of bias in oneus and i was okay with that.
And of course THAT'S when keonhee finally got me, and idk why it took 2 1/2 years to get there but apparently it did and i'm still mad about it djhdhdhdjxnnx

The Road to DS9: The End of the Road
If you listen to The Beige and The Bold, you might know that Derek and I are steaming towards Deep Space Nine. After “Chain of Command, Pt II,” we’ll be starting a new series, Nine Deeps of Space.
It will feature Deep Space Nine, interlaced with half the remaining episodes of TNG and some TBD-amount of Voyager.
However, for the sake of completion, I’d like to finish the episodes of TNG that we’re skipping. That’s where a co-host comes in. I like doing episodes solo, but there’s some dynamism that’s missed versus recording with two people.
So, if you’d like to do the Derek bit and talk Star Trek, plot, social conventions, making a TV show, while making jokes about Riker liking sex and bitching about Troi being underwritten with me, let me know via DM here or via email at [email protected].
Guildelines:
You should have a decent mic and be able to record for about 60-75 minutes of relative quiet. If you’ve listened to the show, we don’t have a high bar for audio quality, but the bar is there.
Be able to watch the show on Netflix. We don’t use any plugins to synchronize.
Be able to record an .mp3 and upload it to Google Drive.
Be in a US time zone, preferably. Scheduling is hard as-is.
Whether you know a lot about Star Trek or not isn’t so important. Just as long as you don’t hate it and are willing to watch and try to enjoy an episode.
You should probably listen to one episode of The Beige and The Bold. This isn’t a swing for listeners--I gain nothing from a dozen half-interested people paging through five minutes of “Darmok” again--you should know what the format and tone is beforehand.
Be able to listen to finished episodes and approve them for posting.
Be able to open the drive sheet at the end of this posting and shoot me an episode title and email to contact you.
Brasstacks:
You’ll have an option to review and provide feedback for episodes before they go up. If you don’t explicitly approve it, it won’t go up. If I say something stupid on twitter in 18 months, you can ask me to take it down and I will.
We don’t have a lot of listeners, but if you’d like to talk about another project you’re working on, that’s fine. I’d recommend picking a relevant episode. I can include links in the episode description.
Episodes will air in TNG order, so later episodes may not be recorded for posted for several months.
I do have a Patreon for TBnTB. These episodes aren’t and won’t be Patreon content. They’ll be only ever be freely available and won’t be attached to Patreon rewards (like credits and remasters).

the biggest beef i have with the manhua is that the first two chapters of the novel set up so many important thematic and tonal elements and the manhuas tone and pacing are very different for those parts. other than that though theyre so similar that jerm and i were consistently at the same spot when we were reading for the first time even though he was reading the manhua and i was reading the novel
