On July 10, 2023, the Specialized Criminal Court, Saudi Arabia’s counterterrorism tribunal, convicted Muhammad al-Ghamdi, 54, a retired Saudi teacher, of several criminal offenses related solely to his peaceful expression online. The court sentenced him to death, using his tweets, retweets, and YouTube activity as the evidence against him.
Repression in Saudi Arabia has reached a terrifying new stage when a court can hand down the death penalty for nothing more than peaceful tweets,” said Joey Shea, Saudi Arabia researcher at Human Rights Watch. “Saudi authorities have escalated their campaign against all dissent to mind-boggling levels and should reject this travesty of justice.”

Day 4 - Talal
was a slaver and a member of the Levantine Templars. He was one of nine men killed by the Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad on his quest for redemption, upon the order of Al Mualim, the Mentor of the Levantine Assassins during the Third Crusade. He was located in the rich district of Jerusalem where he had based his slave trading business..
A former member of the Saracen army, Talal returned to the holy city of Jerusalem, where he established a bandit gang made up of men whose loyalty to him was unquestioned. Operating out of an old warehouse, they soon became known for kidnapping men, women and children of all social stations and shipping them off to distant lands to be sold as slaves, many of them sent to Garnier de Naplouse in Acre for his experiments. Although the city guard was well aware of Talal's actions, they turned a blind eye in return for regular bribes from the bandits.

12 June 2023: Queen Rania attended the King Hussein Cancer Foundation’s 2023 Hope Gala fundraising event, which was held in Amman under the patronage of Their Majesties.
The event aims to support projects that sustain the fight against cancer in Jordan and the region, such as the establishment of specialized centers across Jordan under the banner of the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC). These include the upcoming King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein Building in Aqaba, and two additional buildings in Amman for pediatric treatment and cancer research. (Source: Petra)
The gala was attended by Prince Talal bin Muhammad, special adviser to His Majesty, and Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the KHCC and KHCF, as well as Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh and Former Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam.
During her remarks, Princess Ghida spoke about the foundation and center’s ongoing efforts to ensure accessible cancer care. “We pledge to continue our fight against cancer, recognizing it as an adversary that is both formidable and deceptive, and one we must not tolerate,” Her Royal Highness said.
Throughout the gala, a number of cancer survivors and high-level partners were recognized.
