even tho i like big bad men like toji, i love love loveeee the dynamic between yor and loid.

they're equals in a sense that one's strength is the other's weakness and vice versa. and that leads to a family with a strong and protected foundation, even if it's essentially forged (which is very ironic and i love that honestly, it makes the story unique).

i love the fact that they genuinely care for each other and have developed feelings of affection (which they haven't acknowledged, but they'll come around! i can feel it 😤) to the point that they beat themselves up if they mess up and care about what the other thinks/feels of them. it may be a clumsy trait, but i think that's very important in building stronger relations with people. they make an effort to please the other and i love that! (although i have to say that they both can be prone to people-pleasing and that can be detrimental!) one major example is they both used words of affirmation to keep the other levelheaded when they're in trouble - even if they're not exactly aware of what's really going on.

they intuitively have this strong bond for a forged marriage and my god am i obsessed! 😭 what a lovely irony.

which brings me to my next reason and that is their strong boundaries that they have for each other. even though they have that mutual compassion, they have a balanced way of when to prioritize themselves and their work, and when to prioritize their family and anya ♡

i'm very curious as to what will happen when they reveal their secrets to each other. will they tear the family apart and pretend like nothing happened? or will they acknowledge all the fond emotions they developed for each other?

nonetheless, yor and loid may both be involved in dangerous activities, but they do it for public safety (which is also a lovely irony). and another reason why i adore their dynamic so much is how dedicated they can be just to protect the family they built, even if they have their own motives ー they still choose to respect each other.
