an update to my jacob hendricks fic
I'm finally finishing this fic that @kieropal so kindly requested ! update under the cut, i'm sorry for taking so long
The day ended with you and Jacob taking a gondola to your hotel. It was right in the center of the main island of Venice, and the entire ride there was magical. You watched Jacob’s eyes glitter with the different lights in the city—some from candles, some from the sunset. His smile only emphasized his beauty.
He looked down at you with a smile. “What?”
“Nothing,” you replied. “You just look beautiful.”
A small blush crept onto his cheeks. “Thank you,” he said bashfully. “You look gorgeous too,” his voice was soft and gentle before he kissed your forehead.
The gondolier stopped in front of an orange building, the sign being worn out, the only words readable being Parrocchia De-.
You both got off and thanked the gondolier with a €20.
The walk to the hotel and hotel room was uneventful. It was once you reached your suite that the mood changed from soft and romantic to a sexual tension becoming palpable in the air.
The night of the wedding and what it entailed was not new information to you. You actively tried to ignore thoughts about how this night would go. At times, nerves would overwhelm you, thoughts running amok in your head about how Jacob would feel about your naked body. Other times, your eyes wouldn’t leave Jacob’s body, your mind trying to imagine how he looked under the clothes.
You set your suitcase and travel bag down and looked around the room.
It was on the smaller side, the queen sized bed taking up much of the room.
You walked towards the window and moved the curtains aside, looking out into the city.
The view wasn’t breathtaking the way one would imagine it to be. It was nothing like looking out into the New York City skyline, or the view from the top of the Matterhorn mountain. Instead, it was breathtaking in the cozier way.
