Sorry this took me a bit! Work was exhausting this week =w=

he's sweaty and warm, like he's horribly ill. he also rolls up his sleeves, adjusts his collar, and fusses with his throat feathers fairly often to combat the warmth

how would you get the afflicted?

The Afflicted would be gained by finding the monster and approaching him unarmed. After that, you decide to take him as a companion in the Woods. You end up lost in the dark together.

In his chapter, he would insist on returning to the Cabin with you. Should you do that, you would get his equivalent to the Burning Grey - the Withered Heart.

hm... I think the afflicted is all warm and sweaty as a parallel to the burned grey... which is making me think the shackle might be cold or like. sopping wet as a reference to the drowned grey...

Correct :)

I wanted the Afflicted to reference the Burned Grey with how hot and sweaty he is, but he's also in reference to being "lovesick".

I'm not quite sure what I'm going to end up doing when I parallel the Shackle - I need to go through the Prisoner route again without being distracted by voice calls or otherwise (though my boyfriend was guiding me through the endings so I don't really mind).

[edit]: But my current thought is that Afflicted is very damp, and Withered Heart is hot and humid. The Shackle will likely be colder, maybe icy rather than soaked, and the Sunken Heart may be frozen over.
