Porcelain and the Shark: The Engagement
Tumblr media
Pairing: Stewy Hosseini x f (Roy) reader
(reader has anxiety, no use of y/n, physical descriptions or other names but does have the nickname Porcelain/Porce - due to family viewing her that way not because of her complexion)
Word count: 4.8K
Prompt: they go to Logan to announce their engagement, he’s pleased that his baby is marrying a “shark” and that she’ll be “taken care of” and that Stewy is joining the family. Stewy is happy to let him believe he’ll be “joining them” when in reality he’s taking her. He’s just waiting for the marriage license to be signed. Shiv is pissed when she finds out her baby sister is getting married before her, finally stops blowing off Tom about moving in together and pushes it forward lol
Chapter warning: 18+ MDNI (smut-free fic) established relationship, fluff, soft Stewy, anxious reader, anxiety/panic attacks, a few f bombs, mentions/allusions to childhood abuse, canonical Roy Roy family being Roys...
Authors note: Sorry for the delay in this one! I've been blown away at the love that the Stewy fics have gotten but it's been so, so, so touching how much love Porcelain and the Shark has gotten and how it's resonated with people. It makes me so happy, I absolutely adore you all and I hope you enjoy this installment! This hasn't been proofread properly (obviously), and I feel like the ending is a bit rough (I really just wanted to get this out haha). Thank you again to the nonnie who sent in the original asks and inspired this! Please do let me know what you all think! Comments, reblogs and asks are more than welcome and very much appreciated!
******************************
Stewy had proposed a couple of days ago and it was perfect, to say the least. He hadn’t bombarded you with a grand gesture, done it in a public space, you’d felt no pressure or anxiety over any of it. The last few days had been spent in a blissful, engaged, Stewy-encompassing bubble. You weren’t quite prepared yet for it to burst by being brought back to the real world and sharing that news with your family.
There was a family lunch today. You and Stewy had discussed attending that and that being the opportunity to tell your family, then there was dinner with the Hosseinis to share the news as well. You were grateful for that at least. Stewy’s family were much more stable and kinder than yours. They had always been more welcoming to you and had treated you better than your own family had. You knew they’d be happy about the news and Stewy did too, it would be nice to have some family members genuinely be happy about it you thought.
Connor would be happy without a doubt so that was something. Kendall would be more civil than your siblings but it would also depend on his mood. Shiv and Roman were responses you weren't looking forward to. And well, your father was painfully unpredictable.
You’re still lying in the bed, wrapped up in the duvet. Feeling content at the idea of never leaving the bed when Stewy comes out of the shower, he smiles at you as he walks over to the walk-in closet and starts to pick out his ensemble for the day.
“I don’t want to go and tell him.” You say, breaking the comfortable silence.
“Are you regretting this?” Stewy asks somewhat earnestly as he finishes dressing.
“No, not at all. He’s just scary.”
You didn’t regret it at all, you loved being with Stewy and you were excited about the whole concept of this being another milestone in the relationship. He made you extremely happy and you were in love with him. But you did find your father terrifying and you knew that your siblings would probably find a way to trample on this. You didn’t want to subject Stewy to that and well any venom that might leave your father’s mouth.
“I’ll hold your hand the whole time.” He quietly promises.
It's not a cure. Or a perfect solution but it's a reassuring and loving one. It's something.
“Okay.” You whisper, you look up at him as he comes over and puts one of your hands into both of his, they’re warm and soft. He gives your hand a reassuring squeeze in his comforting hold and then brings your hand up to his lips to press a gentle kiss there.
****************
There are butterflies floating around in your stomach when you arrive at your father’s penthouse, even with Stewy firmly behind you. As you enter both of you are quickly greeted by Marcia, the perfect hostess, as usual, you can feel the butterflies with every movement and breath and you swear they’re somehow multiplying and bypassing the whole cocoon stage.
You’re too anxious to carry out a conversation with Marcia that goes beyond the polite pleasantries as even that’s difficult. Stewy carries the conversation which you’re grateful for. Part of his body is pressed behind you and his hand rubs circles gently onto your hip. Marcia immediately notices the anxiety on you. Your eyes are widened and your head occasionally turns when you become startled hearing your siblings argue and jest.
“Mon chéri, are you feeling okay?” Marcia asks you, you panic for a second tripping over words in your head and nod. Stewy looks at your face carefully, hating that you’re so anxious. It’s radiating off your body like its own energy source and he can feel it.
“Mmhmm.” You hum nervously and your voice is in a higher pitch than usual as you lean into Stewy a little more.
“Okay, okay.” She says softly at you. She gives your arm a little squeeze and then walks past you, pretending it’s for the sake of going back to greet other guests in the house but you and Stewy know it’s because of your state and she wants to give you a moment.
“We can say you’re unwell if you want to go home. We can do this another time.” Stewy murmurs into your hair as he presses a kiss to the top of your head. You sigh out, and shake your head slightly.
“No, no. It’s okay, I think we just need to tell Dad and it’ll go.” He nods and chews on the inside of his cheek for a moment before giving you another kiss on the top of your head.
“Time to find Sir Roy.” He says in a more playful tone, hoping that’ll ease you out of the anxiety cocoon a little and bring a bit of positivity to the tense air that is all that can be breathed in in the penthouse.
“Are you okay?” Roman asks.
“Y-yes, yes, yes.” He looks at you, not a single line of belief is etched into his face so you continue with your voice breaking a little. “Yes! Yes, Roman.”
“You sure? Because you kinda sound and look like the ‘before’ in an ad for Xanax.” His tone’s somewhat playful but there’s a look in his eyes that has concern. It was pretty visible you were pretty anxious and on the verge of a panic attack or you’d already had one. Roman couldn’t tell but his gaze was a bit softer for a moment as he looked at you.
Roman’s gaze flickered to Stewy for a moment, Roman did think it was a bit odd how quiet Stewy was and wondered if that was a cause for anxiety but you still seemed more comfortable around him than anyone else.
“Dad?” You squeak out as your gaze locks on your father’s before Roman can ask you another question about your state.
“Yes, Porce?” He responds looking over at you curiously, the squeak catches his attention. He walks a bit closer taking in a large apprehension in your eyes.
Logan thinks you look as fragile as ever, his faint-hearted porcelain doll of a daughter is the literal thought he has, he almost says it to you. Stewy sees the thought in your father’s face and it makes him uncomfortable. He hates how you’ve always been viewed as a fragile piece of fine chinaware that needs to be kept on a shelf, locked away almost or else you’re at risk of slipping and cracking which would be twisted amusement to your family.
“Can we go into the study for a minute please?” You quietly ask as you fidget with your fingers, trying to give him the most pleasant smile you can while trying not to draw attention to yourself, despite knowing it’s useless.
He looks at you and his brow quickly furrows and then his gaze which is strongly laced with suspicion lands on Stewy.
“No, nothing’s wrong Dad, just please-”
“What is it?” He asks more firmly, his patience slipping for a moment as he glares at his future son-in-law.
His attention stays on Stewy before briefly turning back to you for a moment. He doesn’t look or sound impressed. The command in his voice has now caught the attention of everyone else in the penthouse. Their eyes focus on the three of you and you can feel it.
“Study. Please. Dad.” You breathe out. Stewy begins to start rubbing his hand in a comforting circle on your back.
“Please, Mr Roy? Just a quick chat about some good news?” Stewy asks as he continues to stand next to you for support. His voice is level, far more confident and assertive than yours. Logan looks at you again, it’s the doe-eyed eyes of his porcelain doll who rarely asks for anything that makes him give in to the request.
“Oh fuck it, fine.” Logan huffs out as he then walks to the study. You follow behind him and Stewy gives your side a little squeeze as his hand stays on your back. His body is practically pressed against your side as a reminder that he’s here. You try to focus on your breathing and take deep breaths as you head to the study.
You walk into the study and Logan leans against the desk, raising his eyebrows at you and waving his hands out in a dramatic gesture for you to spill whatever it is. Your heart is pounding so loud, it feels like somebody has gone inside of you to record it just so they can blast it in your ears like an obnoxious podcast. You can tell your father is becoming impatient as you twiddle with your fingers.
Your hands shake a little and you try to ground yourself with the calming sensation of Stewy’s hand still on your back. His other hand quickly softly holds onto one of your hands, as he fulfils his earlier promise his hand gently squeezes yours.
“Stewy and I, we’re engaged. He um, Stewy proposed a couple of nights ago. We wanted to tell you first.” You finally get out.
“Oh.”
“Oh?” You're terrified at that response, somehow it feels more chilling than if he'd been vocal with disdain. It's the uncertain nature. Stewy, rubs his thumb over your hand picking up on how you tensed up again. There’s an undecipherable blank look on Logan’s face that makes you want to melt into Stewy.
“That’s good.” Logan had looked down briefly and now he’s looked back up, his gaze is on you but it then flicks over to Stewy and stays there for a moment.
“Thank you-”
“Marrying a shark.”
“What?” You immediately, sharply blurt out as your eyes widen, Stewy’s eyes widen at that as well and his eyebrows dramatically raise so high that they nearly touch his hairline.
“No,  I’m glad, he’ll… he'll look after you.” He looks at Stewy, it’s an expression that doesn’t contain disdain but you have absolutely no idea what it is. You quickly think that could be worse. “You need that. I’m glad that you’re taken care of in that way, Porce.” You and Stewy are silent at that but then your father continues again. "Are you pregnant?”
“No, we’re not. That wasn’t a factor in this sir.” Stewy promptly responds as he looks at Logan.
Stewy’s trying to be polite like he always is, polite like how his parents raised him to always be. His loving parents that are nothing like yours. He wants to say that you don’t need protecting, everyone knows about your anxiety but that doesn’t make you the porcelain doll or dormouse that they think of and treat you as. That what you have is a loving and respectful partnership of equals not designated roles of perceived weaknesses and strengths.
But he knows that would sour this moment and that it would make everything worse. You know that marrying Stewy makes it easier to step away even more from your family. In the ways that matter and are more detrimental. It’s something you’re both more than aware of.
“I can expect grandchildren though?” He asks the question seriously. The question felt prepared and he surprisingly looked almost disappointed in Stewy’s answer, which greatly surprises you. He wasn’t as cruel to Sophie and Iverson as he had been to you and your siblings but nobody would call him a warm and doting grandparent. You find the interest odd to say the least and Stewy shares that opinion as well.
“Well yes.” You’re a little more at ease but still taken aback at the whole conversation and the nature of this topic is beginning to make you feel a little uncomfortable. “Eventually… That’s the plan…”
You and Stewy had discussed children and were in agreement about that but it was still a couple of years away at least. The idea of timing was something you’d both agreed on and you were happy with it. You’d be lying if you said you weren’t excited about the idea of Stewy as a father.
“Good, good. Well, that’s good Porce. Well uh congratulations to you both.” He says it as he appears to be thinking something that he’s not voicing, he appears to be choosing his words carefully but he then gives you a hug.
“Well, welcome to the family officially, I suppose.” He says as he shakes Stewy’s hand. “You should tell the others, celebratory lunch now, huh.” His gaze is serious but it looks almost content, he’s not looking at either you or Stewy though. You have no idea how to interpret any of that. Then he leaves the study and closes the door behind him.
“Well-”
“That was weird.” You finish off for Stewy. He nods at that. As you’re both left in the now silent shadow of your father’s chaos. The study feels a lot more quieter and larger now that he’s gone, almost darker you think.
“Yeah, it was.” He says as he rests his chin against your shoulder and presses a few soft kisses to your neck. “How are you feeling?”
“Um.” You pause to think for a moment, you’re definitely less physically anxious now but it’s still there a bit and your mouth feels a bit dry. But you don’t know how to feel, you should feel happy and celebrated by your family in this moment and you know it could’ve gone worse, part of you was expecting that. But you didn’t expect this overwhelming sense of confusion, it engulfs you. “Better. Weird though I guess, I don’t know what to make of that all really.” You answer as you relax into his warm arms. He presses some more soft kisses to you as a response and you lift one of his hands up to your lips to press a gentle kiss there.
“I guess we break the news to everyone now?” He breathes out against your neck, it tickles a little and gets a small giggle out of you.
“I guess so.” You whisper while nodding, even though you want to stay frozen like this in Stewy’s proximity. It’s free of cruel words and unreadable gazes.
Your father broke the news almost immediately as you and Stewy were out of the study. Marcia congratulated you both and seemed genuinely happy for you. Connor immediately hugged you and he gave Stewy a hug as well. That was sweet you thought and you were grateful for Connor's kindness, Shiv had just nodded at the whole thing which wasn’t too surprising. Something was bound to be said soon you knew. You then saw the glint in Roman's eyes and immediately knew you didn't want to hear whatever was going to come out so you went in search of the wine, even though Marcia had asked some of the staff to get out champagne. Shiv quickly follows you.
“How did that go?” Kendall asks as he sidles up to Stewy, ignoring the fact that Connor was in the middle of a sentence to Stewy.
“Well he called me a shark,” Stewy says bluntly as he takes a sip from his glass, watching Shiv follow you and start a conversation. The conversation didn't look too tense yet Stewy noted.  Kendall looks confused for a second as he processes what Stewy said but is brought back as Roman snorts loudly behind them and laughs like a hyena. “So you know, fucking A- considering everything.” Stewy bluntly continued.
“Fuck, that’s amazing!” Roman says still laughing, Stewy raises his eyebrows and gives him a bemused look.
"Well, it's you know something…" Connor says noting that Stewy looks impressively unaffected by the moniker.
"Do you remember when Porce went vegetarian? Marrying a marine apex predator, that's like… just so Greenpeace ally of her!" Roman teases in a feminine vocal fry register. "But hey, congratulations man for joining the gilded cage!"
"Rome-" Connor says.
***********
“So what, housewife Hosseini?” Shiv asks as she comes to stand right behind you.
“Well I’ll be wife Hosseini at least, haven't decided on the rest. Looking down on housewives Shiv?” You ask somewhat innocently while looking at the bottles of wine.
“You’re going to change it?” She asks shocked, her voice goes up and there’s a look of horror etched onto her face.
“My name?” You don't dare to look away from the labels, you know the answer, you know what she thinks but you don't want to know what the expression is on her face, you don’t want to see it.
“You’re not changing it to Hosseini are you?” She's audibly horrified at the prospect her voice heavily tinged with disgust that's clear. “Probably, I don’t know. It’s still early betrothed days.” You answer softly, trying to ignore the anxiety your sister gives you and instead on the love you have for her. Shiv stands back for a second and chuckles humourlessly.
“You’re un-fucking-believable! You know that right?” She exclaims.
You then look up at your older sister as you pick a bottle up and start pouring yourself a glass. You do it somewhat unflinchingly, which shocks her but she does her best to hide it, you see a glimmer of it in her always piercing blue eyes though. She’s especially surprised as she’d seen how you were when you came in and started the conversation with Logan.
"Do you want one?" You ask. You're not sure what else to say to her other than that.
"No- God. Fuck off." Her tone is now irritated and she looks at you for a moment, analysing you like you're a foreign species that's never been encountered before. One that horrifies and intrigues her all at once.  She pauses for a moment thinking over her words. "You know, Tom and I are planning to move in. It's basically all confirmed."
Her manner is curt, you sense another shift in the tension. It makes your shoulders tighten a little.
“Oh? That’s great news, Shiv. Congratulations, I’m happy for you both!” You say to your sister and she just continues to analyse you for a few more seconds longer than you’d like so you turn around to walk away with your glass of wine.
Shiv then goes to talk to your father and you see your brothers talking to Stewy. Tom awkwardly stands on the outskirts of the inner circle that has been formed, it’s typical fashion of your brothers to essentially, completely ignore Tom. You can’t help but feel sorry for the socially awkward, desperate-to-be-liked man. He hasn’t been in the picture as long as Stewy, Rava or Grace which doesn’t help his case either.
“Hey Tom, how are you?” You ask somewhat quietly as you come to stand by him. He jumps a little at the sudden movement and acknowledgement but visibly relaxes when he sees it’s you.
“Uh hi, good, good, good. How are you? Well obviously good!” He awkwardly laughs for a small moment and you politely smile at him. “But congratulations! That’s exciting.” He nods while speaking.
“Thank you! And congratulations to you too!” He smiles at you but his brow furrows a little at that. “About you and Shiv- she said you two are finally moving in?”
“Oh? Oh! Well, we’d talked about it a few times but she was a bit uh hesitant… I didn’t know… When did she uh say this?” He asks.
You can see the confusion on his face, a glimpse of detectable sadness. He doesn’t have an issue being this frank with you because he doesn’t view you as a threat or a manipulator. It would be an entirely different and even more painfully awkward conversation if it was your brothers.
“Just-just before Tom. It might’ve just been good news girl talk before she wanted to chat with you. I’m sorry.”
“Yeah, yeah sure. It was probably just girl talk.” He says it unconvincingly, more to himself than you.
You and Tom both know it wasn’t girl talk. You and Shiv have never done anything like that. It’s clear to both of you that this was some way to try and draw attention away from your news. You know that it’s also linked to the fact that you’ve reached a milestone before her, one that she wishes she’d gotten to before you, especially because of your father’s reaction. It was part of a Shiv mind game because every Roy child was preprogrammed to compete in every aspect of life. But in particular, for your father’s affection and praise.
“Well um, would you excuse me, please? Thank you.” He says and you nod and then he’s gone.
"Eating you alive?" You ask with a small smile directed at Stewy as you step closer towards him and your brothers. He shakes his head softly at you and smiles warmly. It’s such a comforting sight, there’s just pure adoration in his features and it’s the nicest feeling. You can’t help but smile widely at him.
Roman lets out another loud, hyena-esque laugh at your question though. "We're the shark meat here." He quips with a large, goofy smirk.
"You told them?” You question with a sigh while looking from Roman to Stewy.  “He'll never shut up about it! It's going to be a lifetime of shark jokes now." You say to Stewy and he smirks at you with a slight shrug.
He doesn't really care what they say or think, it's only your voice he actually wants to listen to in this room and only your thoughts that he cares about. Your smile makes a lifetime of bad shark jokes from Roman worth it. As long as you're happy is what he thinks. Stewy also knows that this helps create more boundaries for you and a degree of separation for you to set and maintain more boundaries while getting further away from the haunted house.
"You could've snuck-swam! Swam in a shark pun or something in there at least. God." Roman responds before walking off to get a champagne flute.
“Maybe it’s time for you all to swim to the table for lunch?” Marcia says with a smile on her face that doesn’t quite reach her eyes, especially evident when Roman scoffs at her.
“So?” Kendall comes over, leaning against your seat as he looks down at you as you sit down. Not everybody is in here yet and his tone is a bit playful but quiet.
“So?” You ask back, dragging out each syllable.
“You’re happy with everything?”
“Mmm.” You hum. “Why? If not, you’re going to storm the facilities for a different ring cut?” You ask with a small laugh as you tilt your head to look into his eyes, they twinkle a little as he smirks.
“Uh-huh. I already have several people on standby, with uh fucking pitchforks and everything.” He banters back.
“Such an organised and onto-it big brother must be the Capricorn in your chart.”
“Well, I haven’t prepared for everything.” He says before taking a sip from his drink.
“Oh?” You ask curious where this train of thought of his is going to go.
“Still working on a plan to take out the uh groom-to-be if that’s required. Which it’s bound to be at some stage, for my uh sake if not yours.” He teases, your brow furrows at that and he can’t help but laugh at seeing that expression on your face. It reminds him of the shock and grumpy expression that would occasionally plaster itself onto your face as a child.
“I’ll send you my next therapy invoice.”
“If any of us kids should be paying for that, it’s Roman.” He says and you both laugh at that and nod.
“You’re not wrong.” You reply as you look away from him to where Roman stands talking to Grace and Shiv.
You then slump against the back of the chair and sink down a bit into it and look up at Kendall he laughs at that and then the humour leaves his eyes and they’re more serious as he looks down, hovering over you.
“You are happy though?” He asks again, his tone more serious than before. You nod.
“Yes. Extremely” You say as you look up at him and then poke his nose gently with a little popping noise. He rolls his eyes and laughs.
“So mature.”
“You’re the one that was offering to off my husband.”
“It was a uh you know, heads up not an offer. Plan hasn’t been finalised for it to be a formal offer.” He immediately says.
“Uh-huh. Because that makes all the difference.”
“You fucking bet it does.” He says before going to take his seat next to Logan.
**************
The rest of the lunch had gone surprisingly okay for Roy standards. You were now at the home you and Stewy shared, recuperating from today’s lunch and getting ready for dinner at Stewy’s parents. Fortunately, that would be something that wouldn’t be emotionally and socially taxing at all, especially in comparison to your family’s gatherings.
You’re in the ensuite finishing getting ready when Stewy comes over leaning against the doorframe, you give him a smile and you can see that he’s thinking about something as he watches you.
“Wait a second,” Stewy says as his eyes focus on you in concentration.
“What?” You ask looking at him quizzically.
“There’s something in your eye.”
“There’s nothing in my eye?” It comes out as more of a question than a statement as your tone is laced with confusion.
“Yes, there is. Just wait!” He says sweetly as he comes over with a smile on his face, he plants one hand softly on your hip and the other on your cheek as he looks into your eyes closely, inspecting them. Your cheeks heat up at the intimacy of the touch and the look in his eyes.
“I don’t feel anything Stewy-”
“Just wait a second honey, please.” He pretends to get something from your eye that’s obviously not there and pulls it away with a pleased smile on his face. You chuckle a little at that and his smile widens at the sound of your laugh.
His hand stays on your hip and his other quickly returns back to your cheek, his eyes are on your lips for a moment before they go back to your eyes. The sweetness in his eyes is still there but the playfulness is gone, replaced with just love and affection.
“What was that for?” You gently prod and he flashes you another smile.
“You’re just really pretty.” You giggle a little at that and he chuckles as well. “I just wanted an excuse to look at your pretty eyes again close up.” He admits with a genuine smile still on his face as he continues to look into your eyes. Your cheeks heat up again at that.
“You don’t need an excuse for that.” You whisper while looking at his soft lips. “But that was pretty smooth Hosseini.”
“Thank you, I’m glad you think so Mrs Hosseini to be.” He responds as he notices your gaze on his mouth.
He quickly tilts his head and presses his lips against yours as his thumb brushes against your cheek. You wrap your arms around the back of his neck as your mouth opens to invite him in more, deepening the kiss. You continue to kiss, for longer than you probably should if you’re going to get to his family’s place on time.
You eventually break away for air and he smiles at you, he looks absolutely smitten and that’s how you feel about him.
“We need to go soon.”
“Oh?” He asks playfully as if he’s oblivious to the dinner plans.
“If we want to make it on time, we shouldn’t be late…” He then leans again to start pressing kisses against your jaw and then along your neck. He hums in agreement against your throat at that and you gasp at that. “Stewy!”
“You’re already Baba’s favourite and I’m his son so I don’t think you need to worry.” He breathes out in between kisses. You giggle at that and nod.
“Exactly, so I can’t risk that, can I?” You say with a smirk, he sighs out against your neck and it tickles. You gently place your fingers on his jaw and guide him back up for another deep kiss on the lips.
“I suppose, we can go now.” He says melodramatically before he presses a kiss to your forehead.
“How generous of you.” You say while smiling at him while wiping some of your lipstick off of him.

********
You’re kneeling on the floor in Tillie’s room as you help your young daughter change into her outfit. It was cute but you hadn’t expected it to be so complicated to put on. Mainly because Tillie was so excited, wriggling and bouncing as she chatted, she couldn’t stay still for very long. After a couple of minutes you’d been able to finish up her outfit and kissed the top of her head as you finished putting her hair in the neat bun she’d asked for to match her new but beloved doll sitting next to her.
“Wow! You look amazing and you’re both matching! How cool!” You excitedly say to Tillie who giggles and nods.
“We’re both ready for space now!” Tillie exclaims as she grabs her astronaut Barbie doll.
“You can play with your toys now that you’re dressed, practice for space. I’m going to check on dad and Jonathan now, okay sweetie?” You place another kiss on top of her head and she nods, happily focusing on her toys again. It makes you chuckle how quickly she goes back to playing now that your interruption of dressing her is over.
You start to walk towards Jonathan’s room but pause when you hear Stewy’s voice coming from his home office, you think it’s odd that he’s in there as this was a day that he was meant to be completely offline from work and just for family. Changing the route to Jonathan’s room you walk to his office until you’re leaning against the door watching him. Stewy’s pacing back and fourth in his office as he continues his call with an earphone in. He looks at you and with a small smile before taking a sip from his morning cappuccino in a ridiculously tiny cup as he hums along to whatever is being said on the opposite end of the phone.
“Uh-huh, yeah, well yeah, we’ll just need to circle back to that later. Uh-huh, I’ve gotta go. Mmm, yeah, sure, bye.” He quickly ends the call, removing the earphone and placing it on his desk before turning to look at you as he carefully places his coffee cup down on the desk.
“You’re not in pink-” You start.
“Neither are you.” Stewy immediately quips back with a small teasing smile as he looks you up and down adoringly.
“Well no, I haven’t changed yet. I was getting the kids ready.”
“Okay, go get ready I’ll finish up whatever needs finishing up and then you can head out.” He says as he comes over giving you a kiss on the forehead.
“We head out.” You correct, emphasising the word as you’re already not a fan of the direction this was headed in.
“Honey…” Stewy says with a sigh and it’s clear that something has come up, he needs to cancel. The guilt is written all over his face like a ghost came up and tattooed it on as soon as you walked into the office.
“You promised.” You say rather bluntly. The work-life balance is important to you and after experiencing all that your childhood had to offer in terms of swinging between sheltered neglect and highly-criticised surveillance. You refuse the notion of having your children growing up without a father or experiencing the wonder and insult of what it’s like to have a father miss out on what’s meant to be memorable and special family days. You know Stewy isn’t like that, he’s just busy and he’s always there but you still can’t help but take it personally.
It almost feels like a childhood defense and you feel your lip quiver a little as you look at him, knowing he had promised this and now he was going to break the promise to you and your children.
“I know baby, but something’s come up at work and-” He continues with wide eyes, trying to diffuse the situation as he can see how upset it’s making you.
“I’m not happy about… I’m not happy about this Stew.” You admit quietly as you look down while leaning against the wall more.
“I know. I know. I’ll make it up to you and the kids, we’ll do something later on. I’ll buy them some more toys.” “You’re not becoming that father who uses money and presents to make it up to children.” You say softly.
“I won’t do that.” He chuckles and comes over to you and wraps his arms around you softly. “I love you and you’re so pretty, you know that right?” He presses a few soft kisses to your jaw and neck.
“You’ve said it before…” You whisper back, as he holds you in his arms.
“Mm… Good. I just wanted to remind you.” He whispers against your neck and you feel his breath and words tickle your neck.
“If you’re not coming, you’re the one who needs to break that news to their cute faces and you do owe them. And me.” You can’t help but sigh in his arms as you relax into him, finding comfort in his presence as you always do despite how you’re annoyed with him over this.
Stewy nods as he listens to your words, and caresses your back gently. “I’ll try…” He whispers, you know it’s less likely that he’ll actually end up working through the day and bailing on the much anticipated Hosseini family event of seeing the Barbie film with your young children.
Tillie then calls out for you and Stewy, you smile at him, squeezing his hand and walking with him, hand-in-hand into Tillie’s bedroom. Tillie jumps up when she sees her dearly loved parents walk into her bedroom and runs over with her doll. Some children had dinosaur phases, or princess phases but Tillie was one of those children who became obsessed with space as soon as her eyes could take in the moon and what it was. She had an astronaut Barbie in her hand which had become one of her most prized possessions since Stewy had recently brought it for her. It was in her hand at every playtime, bedtime, and seated next to her at each meal.
As Tillie jumps up to hug her parents, it is then that Stewy sees her outfit in full… Tillie is wearing an astronaut costume in pink. One that you’d spent a lot of time trying to find the right person to commission it and they had excelled. She was a cute little astronaut just as she wanted to be and it was perfectly in theme with the Barbie film that she was excited to see as well.
She ran over to her father and Stewy quickly picked her up, you could see his heart melting as he took in the sight of his precious daughter in her outfit, she looked adorable and Stewy loved how she was so young but already had dreams that were so out of this world.
Stewy swayed slightly while holding Matilda, he kissed the top of her head and smiled widely at her.
“Oh my God, look at you… this outfit is amazing….” Stewy said to Tillie with a smile. He pressed another kiss to her head and held her a bit tighter as he kept swaying with her. “Oh my…. Look at her! Look at her!” He said with the largest, most loving eyes to you and you couldn’t help but smile widely and nod. She was always cute and precious but this was an exceptionally cute look of Matilda’s. You also always appreciated seeing this moment between Stewy and Tillie, he was so in awe of her and she was in equal awe of her father as well. A polar opposite to what you and Shiv had known but it was what you wanted for your children, it was what every child deserved.
“How could you say no to that cutie, Stewy? You tease playfully, already seeing him mentally cave by her.
“I can’t… I can’t… I’ll make a call and then we’ll see Barbie, huh?” He says to Tillie and gives her a little nose bop which makes her giggle loudly and excitedly.
“Go change, dad Ken, not work Ken!” Tillie says with another giggle as she tries to boop her father on the nose in return. Stewy smirks and nods, kissing her forehead again as he swings her gently with a smile.
“What am I going to wear though? I need some pink, huh honey?” He asks Tillie and she smiles and nods.
“I brought you a pink turtleneck, it’s out in the room honey.” You say softly with a happy smile as you look at him, you couldn’t resist the chance to get him in theme and you always had a weak spot for Stewy in a turtleneck so this was just as much a treat for your family as it was for you. All just for different reasons.
“You’re a prize, babe. Thank you. Isn’t your mommy the best? I mean look at you and soon look at me and I’ll be just as cute huh?” Stewy kisses Tillie’s cheek and then puts her down and gives you a soft, loving, grateful kiss on the lips to say thank you for organizing that.
Stewy goes off to change and he looks so handsome in his pink turtleneck, you feel your cheeks immediately heat up as he comes back out. He kisses your cheek and whispers a sweet thank you.
************************
You, Stewy and your little Hosseinis all watch Barbie, everybody dressed up in theme in pink and looking like charming Barbies, Kens, and Allens. The children are all thoroughly engaged in the film and its bright visuals, there’s plenty of humor as well that’s sneaked in to appeal to adults which gets genuine laughs from you and Stewy.
You’re not quite surprised but you struggle for a moment as you feel quite touched, sensitive and yet vulnerable throughout several scenes of the film. This concept of identity, and having an identity that is separate from the men in your life, along with one that is separate to your identities as a wife, a mother, a sister, and a daughter. You can’t help but get teary at many of these scenes and think about what something like this means for your children, especially sweet Tillie, and the relationship between mothers and daughters. You love Tillie with all of your being, is that enough you wonder? It certainly wasn’t with your parents but that wasn’t the right love and you know it’s different with your children, you don’t let the thoughts in that your parents probably felt the same at some stage in. You’re already getting teary-eyed in this film, surrounded by those dearest to you, you don’t think you can quite handle an existential crisis right now.
Stewy notices your eyes becoming glassy with tears during these scenes and he snuggles a bit closer to you, pulling you into him more to gently kiss your cheek and squeeze your shoulder and hand. He caresses your arm gently from the first scene that brings you to tears and then throughout the rest of the picture.
“Hey, you’re a great parent… They love you more than anything, I’m in awe of you. You’re such a great mom.” Stewy promises as he whispers into your ear. You smile at him and tilt your head to kiss him softly on the lips.
*******
The children loved the film and it was a great family day that didn’t end in terms of quality time right after the movie finished. The children were all now tucked in bed and you were lying in bed now and Stewy had just finished brushing his teeth and was coming to lie in bed.
“Hi.” He whispered as he laid on the bed and looked up at you.
“Hey.” You smile back at him and can’t help but feel your cheeks heats up again, you loved him in the pink turtleneck but you also loved him out of it and any tops, just as much.
“And thoughts on the film that made all the men so angry?” He asks.
“I mean, it was a bit gentle on men, huh?” You say as you tilt your head to look at him.
“Uh-huh, far too gentle. It should’ve challenged my masculinity more than it did.” He says softly as he kisses your cheek and then your jaw gently with a smirk. “Ken did kinda feel like that incel-pipeline justification, right?” He says as he pulls away and looks at your face, Stewy starts to caress your arm gently as he leans back on the pillows.
You nod and smile. “Exactly! And you picked that up!” He chuckles at that and his cheeks heat up a bit as he continues to caress your forearm. “It still had some good stuff in it, Tillie really enjoyed it, ‘Yay space!’ Is going to be a new catchphrase for a while.” You say with a smile as you gently caress his cheek in return and giggle a little at the thought. That line alone and the acknowledgement of a Barbie in space was more than enough to make the day for Tillie and seal it as a classic for her.
“Astronaut Barbie was my favorite. Tillie and I have that in common now.” He says playfully and you can’t help but chuckle some more at that.
Stewy then leans back to grab his phone to do something that his mind has just thought of, you can’t help but feel curious.
“What are you doing?” You as with a smirk.
“I’m going to get one of those ‘I’m Kenough’ hoodies delivered to Kendall’s.” He says with a smirk as he taps away at his phone. You can’t help but laugh.
“That’s so thoughtful of you, he definitely needs it.” You laugh.
“Exactly, he really does.” Stewy says playfully, he finishes up, showing you an order confirmation email and then puts his phone down and kisses you softly on the lips.
“Since you’ve seen Barbie, does that mean I have to be your date to Oppenheimer now?” You ask as you look up at him. Stewy immediately scoffs and then laughs.
“No!” He laughs.
“No?” You ask with a small chuckle.
“I’m a dad, I’ve been exposed to the magic and art of Barbie and Bluey, why would I need to see Oppenheimer? Also it’s three hours long? It’s not for children, why would I go through those three hours?” He asks.
You smile and nod as you caress his cheek. “Very good points.” You whisper.
“How boring and convoluted must a film be to be three hours long? And if I have that much time for something shouldn’t I spend it with you and our angels?” You can’t help but smile widely at that.
“Isn’t it mandatory bro viewing now? What on earth will you talk about in the office on Monday?” You ask playfully before kissing him softly on the lips.
“I won’t watch a film because of peer pressure, if I felt insecure, I’d just read the Wikipedia plot and honey, I don’t get insecure.” He says proudly right before leaning over, closer to you in order to kiss your lips. The kiss starts off soft at first but Stewy quickly deepens it, he playfully nibbles on your lip as the kiss deepens on both your ends and Stewy steals a moan from your lips as you run your hands through his hair.

Omg I'm so anxious!!!!
***********
It was a cool, early Wednesday afternoon and you were walking into the Maesbury Capital office. You'd had a rather good day today, it had been the perfect amount of busy, you hadn't been overwhelmed but you certainly weren't underwhelmed, you thought to yourself yes you can be whelmed, Chastity. I'm perfectly whelmed right now. You reminisced a little over that iconic movie for a few seconds as you were perfectly whelmed.
Wednesdays had become your favourite day of the business week. You'd take a longer lunch break and it had become routine for you and Stewy to have lunch together. You knew he'd had a particularly busy week, which said a lot as the man was always busy, so you'd made sure to get some of those sickly sweet pastries and doughnuts he fancied. Stewy and stress often led to an indulged sweet tooth.
Once you step out of the elevator you walk towards his office, the floor is relatively quiet which isn't too much of a surprise for this time of day. You know it's because of people being out for lunch or in meeting rooms for lunch/just after lunch meetings. You polite smile at the few faces you see before you walk into Stewy's office.
You can see him through the glass walls of his office, sitting at his desk completely focused on work. Normally he would've noticed you coming in by now and you would've seen that handsome face light up.
“Hey, Stewy?” You ask softly as you push open the door and walk towards him as he sits at his desk.
“Yeah?” He asks softly and gently, his focus is still on the screen and he doesn’t look up. His attention is fully still on his work. He's wearing his glasses and he pushes them up the bridge of his nose as he looks down at some papers that he's printed that are now on the desk. He looks more tense than usual, and the soft tone lacking playfulness is a stark contrast to his usual irrepressibly teasing nature.
“I was just wondering, who’s the hottie in the specs?” You ask with a large smirk.
You're hoping a bit of playful teasing will help coax him out of the ball of stress he's rolled himself into. You smile at how it's a bit of a sharp parallel to the usual dynamics in your relationship, he's normally the playful one.
Your teasing catches his attention enough to distract him from whatever is on his screen, he looks up at you with raised eyebrows, the stress is more evident in his expression now, he pointedly exhales as he pushes the frames back up again slightly with his index finger.
He doesn't often wear the glasses, much to your chagrin. They suit him so well and do something else to you… You've noticed that he's always adjusting them, you think it must be because he's not used to it. It doesn't feel quite right on hid face, and you imagine it's worse because of how overworked and stressed he is right now.
“Here I was, thinking you weren’t malevolent like the rest of the Roy clan.” He says it somewhat dryly as he rubs his brow, once again shifting his focus back to whatever the cause of stress is. You can tell he’s trying to add some humour for your sake but he’s clearly too worked up to fully commit to it.
“Hey.” You place down the bag of food and walk over to where he’s seated at his desk. You stand behind him and lean down to rest your chin on his shoulder and wrap your arms around him. “I like the glasses. They look good. You look good. Really good." You speak as gently and genuinely as you can, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek where his perfectly trimmed facial hair tickles your lips.
“How commodious that they’re exclusively aesthetic.” He dryly teases.
They’re not. A fact that he knows you’re well aware of.
"You've always been a men's fashion icon, my love." You say softly, starting to run one hand through his hair. It's not as slicked back, it's looking more natural, you know he must've done some stress tousling it while thinking. You don't say anything about it, you just play with his hair trying to relax him a little.
He closes his eyes and let's out a small little chuckle.
“What’s going on?” You ask before you press another gentle kiss down to his shoulder.
“Just this fucking asinine portfolio review- it’s giving me a headache.” He sighs, leaning further into your hold. You nod and tilt your head to place some soft gentle kisses to his neck and shoulder.
“Let’s get you some water honey.” You whisper, giving him another kiss and a gentle squeeze before walking over to the drinks cart in his office and pouring him a glass of water.
"Water on the rocks?" He asks a little playfully as he watches you.
"Yes… And it's extra strong. All the good stuff. Now drink." You tease back as you give him the glass and lean against the desk watching him.
"You know that social phenomenon of women being told they're too pretty to cry? Or they look angry or upset and would look better if they smiled?" You ask, he nods. "If they did that to men, the phrase would be you're too cute to be this stressed." He chuckles at that and his eyes have a playful twinkle which makes you smile. It's what you were hoping for.
"And I can say for a fact that you're far too smart to say such silly things." He teases as he finishes the glass of water.
"Yes, you're not wrong. But normally my dear lover makes up for my lack of flair for silliness." You smile and he playfully rolls his eyes at that.
You hug him and give him a soft kiss on the lips. Stewy squeezes your hand softly and rubs his thumb around your hand, it's a small, sweet comforting gesture. You're not sure who it's relaxing more though.
He presses another soft kiss to your lips, and it's perfectly cozy and enveloping. You kiss hum back lovingly and once you two stop he presses his forehead softly against yours. You stay there for a moment, now practically sitting in his lap while he sits on his office chair.
"Have you eaten yet, Stew?" You whisper. He shakes his head.
"No, but I could eat you." He says matter of factly and you can't help but laugh a little and your cheeks heat up at that. "What? Don't laugh! You're already making me feel better, imagine how much better I'd feel if I got a proper taste of you." He playfully teases in a low voice, watching you with a devilish smirk.
"I have sugar." You say softly as you play with his hair.
"You're better than sugar. And carbohydrates. You know that right? And sugar is a miracle so that says a lot" He says as he leans into your touch more.
"Someone's awfully romantic today. Maybe you should drunk water more often." You quip as you continue playing with his hair, you feel his breath against your face as he chuckles at that and nods.
"If you insist, your request is my command after all." He teases and kisses your neck.
"What if I told you to wear the glasses more often?" You ask.
"Really?" He asks surprised. You nod and hum in affirmation. "Of all the things in the world, that money could easily be blown on but no. It's the glasses?" He teases.
"They're something else, you're something else Stew." You say with a small laugh.
"No, you're something else." He says with a genuine smile, his warm brown eyes are looking at you in absolute adoration but the playful glimmer is more prominent now compared to how the stress had wiped that out earlier.
"There's one of those ridiculously sugared up doughnuts in the bag." You say with a smirk.
Stewy's eyebrows quickly raise up at that and he leans slightly over to the desk, still keeping one hand gently but firmly on your back. He gets the doughnut and offers you a bite and then starts to eat it.
"Best thing baked for humanity's taste buds ever. Nothing will ever taste this good, you know? Except for well you of course." He says and you laugh at that, caressing his cheek a little. "God, you're just tempting me, tempting me in the office you know?" He teases and you laugh.
You two sit like that, talking for the rest of the hour, he becomes a bit more relaxed, you can see the tension leaving his body with each minute, each word and each kiss.
Stewy drinks some more water, he eats some more food and eventually you both have to get back to your busy days unfortunately.
You give him a soft loving kiss on the lips and he smiles up at you.
"I'll see you tonight, love." You say softly.
"I'll still be wearing the glasses." He smugly promises.
"Aren't I the luckiest person in the whole world?" You ask with a smirk as your cheeks heat up at the thought.
"I don't mean to make this a competition because as you know, I don't have a competitive bone in my body," he teases. "But actually, I'm the luckiest person for getting you. You're a real dream babe." He says with a playful but adoring smirk.

Porcelain and the Shark: Sweet Jonathan
Tumblr media
Pairing: Stewy Hosseini x f (Roy) reader
(reader has anxiety, no use of y/n, physical descriptions or other names but does have the nickname Porcelain/Porce - due to family viewing her that way not because of complexion)
Word count: 4.6K
Prompts: "at the birth of jonathan, and even though she’s been doing therapy after she has him she really just breaks down crying because she loves him sooooo much, already and he’s only been alive for minutes. And it’s kind of her letting go of feeling like it was her fault Caroline didn’t love her. like rationally she knows she couldn’t have done anything wrong that quick but now she kinda understands something was broken in her mother to discard her so quickly. also realizes how Logan must have contributed to that bc Stewy's support was incredibly important to her labourand she knows how logan is. And she quietly loves Jonathan and has Stewy embrace her and thank her for making their family grow." + "If possible, I wanted to know a little more about when Jonathan was born, I imagine that the new parents were so in love with their baby , but how was the reaction of the rest of the family to the new and highly desired baby?"
Chapter/content warning: 18+ MINORS DNI, established relationship, anxious reader, pregnancy, scenes post-childbirth (labour/delivery is not depicted), the feels, canonical Roy chaos and pain (lmk if I've missed any!)
Authors note: Thank you so much to these 2 Nonnies for sending these prompts in! I really appreciate it and adore you both so much! They're both such great prompts, I hope you like this piece, please do let me know! Also, I haven't gone through childbirth or anything like that so I tried to keep everything pretty vague. This hasn't been proofread and post 2K I really started to dislike this and worry that it's not good 😭 Please let me know your thoughts, comments, reblogs and asks are appreciated! I love hearing from you all. Also can you tell I absolutely HATE naming things?!
****************
You were on the floor in the nursery that was almost completely ready, it was just waiting for the future Hosseini to arrive. There was a bookshelf in here that was really just for aesthetics at this stage, you knew it would be impractical because it wasn’t realistic that an infant would be doing a lot of reading, there was also the chance of this being a hazard for the bundle of joy that would soon be the centre of the household. The bookshelf had been bolted into the wall though and the home itself had been ‘baby-proofed’ already.
But it was still nice you thought to have a bookshelf with all of the adorable children’s books you’d spent hours finding, reading about and then also rambling to Stewy about. You were now looking over the books again, organising them in the important system (one which you would never use for work) but what would be the highest priority to read and your favourites.
Stewy came into the nursery. He looked around the nursery again for a second, he did it each time he came in. Genuinely amazed at what his life had become over the last few years. You heard his footsteps, you pause mid-book organising to look up at him as he walks over and leans against the changing table, watching you turn your attention back to the shelf, he thinks about it and enjoys that there are great conversations and banter but also places for comfortable silence in your relationship. Something you do as well. He revels in that for a moment before asking. “Do you need a hand?”
“No, thank you.” Your response is quick, amusingly too quick to him.
“Are you sure baby?” He drags the syllables out as he smiles at you, finding the quickness of your response equally amusing and intriguing.
“Yes, honey. I have a system.” You respond and then you turn around and smirk at him seeing his grin widen more. “One that I can’t teach.”
“Oh?” He questions somewhat teasingly but still intrigued as he raises his eyebrows at you. You hum in response. “What? Dewey? Library of Congress?” Stewy asks with a teasing smile.
“No. But if I tell you it can’t get out.” You hum and his smile widens as he raises his eyebrows at you, waiting for you to continue. “”hat will be my favourites to read to them.” You confidently answer with your own growing smile.
“What a scandalous system.” Stewy laughs and nods, not too surprised at the revelation. His eyes scan around and he looks at the changing table and then finds a tub of something there piquing his interest.
“What’s this again?” He asks holding it out for you as you turn around to look at it.
“Diaper change cream.” You quickly answer smiling at your husband. “Think baby powder alternative for that area.”
“Right… And remind me again why we need an alternative to baby powder?” He questions as he studies it.
“Babies shouldn’t breathe in the powder particles and there are medical concerns and debate over talc.” You and Stewy had both done a lot of research and prep for this but it was stuff like this that you had read more on than him.
“Talc?” Stewy raises an eyebrow as he looks at the bottle of cream.
“Some research says it's carcinogenic. Talc’s the big player in baby powder ingredients, the culprit ingredient in those Johnson and Johnson lawsuits.” You finish off, knowing that that will ring a bell for him and it does as he quickly nods.
“It’s kind of sickening how good I’ll be at diaper changes.” He says in a deadly serious tone, you look over at him and can’t help but laugh. You’re in awe and humoured by the confidence of the handsome, cocky dork you married.
“Well with that confidence, I’m happy to leave that to you at 3 AM.” You quip back with a smirk, completely abandoning the books as you look at him.
“Shit at that time of morning, just a Saturday morning before my reformed domesticated ways.” He smirks at you and winks.
“Sure Stewy, sure. What was it that Roman said about your lifestyle…?” His eyebrows raise as he exhales, shaking his head but your grin just grows.
“Roman misquoted me-”
“Uh-huh. Of course, he did, you certainly didn’t happen to make the mistake of not just talking about but talking to my siblings about the-.” You smugly say before he cuts you off.
“Well even though he’s a loose cannon, you know it means you don’t ever need to worry about Roman’s career prospects. The narc will always have the pathway option of a police informant.” Stewy retorts, somewhat proud of himself for thinking of that on the spot despite the fact he’d thought it about a dozen times since that conversation with Roman and Kendall had gotten back to you.
“You were down bad, years before becoming a reformed married, soon-to-be family man.” You quickly respond.
It’s true and you both know it. He was bad for it and you imagine if things hadn’t been so complicated with your family you’d have been married a lot earlier than what had happened in this universe. You wondered what that would’ve been like.
“What is baby powder meant to do anyways? Is it like powdered baby cologne?” He quickly questions. It might sound like an intentional conversation change to the ears of others but his short attention span prompts it and you know that.
The question’s been triggered by his attention going back to the cream in his hands, you watch his eyes scan over the label curiously for any and all information. He then looks up from the product and his doe eyes that you’re in love with bore into yours. He looks so handsome like this, the softer night lighting just illuminates it. You’re so in love with him. You smirk to yourself briefly before responding as his smile grows.
“It’s meant to scare away the boogeyman.” You reply nonchalantly.
“Babe, your dad doesn’t live here. I think we’re good.” He says it with his eyebrows raised and a signature Stewy Hosseini teasing smile on his face.
You chuckle at that and roll your eyes as he places the cream down and walks over to kiss you as you then feel a small popping sensation.
********************
You felt warm, covered in sweat which plastered your hair to your face and neck. You’d had a firm grip on Stewy’s hand for hours now. Stewy was stroking your arm softly with his free hand as he pressed a delicate kiss to the top of your head as you both watched the nurse bring Jonathan over.
He’d fortunately been declared a healthy baby boy by the doctor and you smiled at that, your hand was still in Stewy’s but your grip relaxed a little as the worry in your body left at that, you’d been somewhat anxious as Jonathan was 2 weeks early but the doctors and nurses had assured you that was normal, you knew it was right but even with therapy, an anxious brain still doesn’t always accept logic.
“What a good set of lungs he has.” The nurse says with a smile as she places the still crying infant into your slightly shaky arms.
Your body shakes a little for a couple more seconds, you suppose that it’s a combination of the exhaustion from labour and the nerves of that whole process and now meeting your sweet boy. You feel your nerves stabilise after a few seconds, as you watch him, it must be part of that maternal instinct. He’s pressed into you and he’s so small and delicate in your arms, you can’t help but smile largely as you watch him.
“Hey, hey, hello sweetie, you’re so perfect.” You coo at him as you smile widely, he then finishes crying and you giggle a little at that.
“He really is.” Stewy says with a small chuckle as he looks down at the sweet little baby you created together and he then presses a gentle kiss to the top of your forehead.
Jonathan’s eyes open at the sound of his parents voices above him and he looks up at you. You can’t help but feel stunned and in awe of how your sweet little boy is looking at you with the same big brown eyes as Stewy and he appears to have the same dark locks as his father as well. He looks at you and returns the smile you’re directing at him which makes both yours and Stewy’s hearts explode. The love and awe you’re in over Jonathan is so encompassing, that nothing else matters and nothing could take away or ruin the joy of Jonathan’s existence.
Jonathan’s large, curious brown eyes flicker around the surroundings and its clear that his gaze is happier when it focuses on you and Stewy, especially when hearing your voices as you gently coo at him. It’s only a couple of minutes of the three of you being in this bubble, pretty oblivious to everything going on outside until Jonathan’s fallen into a peaceful slumber.
You bring him up slightly to kiss his head softly and quietly chuckle at how peaceful he looks. You’re amazed at him. Stewy wipes his eyes, being equally filled with adoration as he moves his hand from your arm for a moment to perch himself on the side of the bed next to you and press another kiss to your forehead as he stroke’s Jonathan’s little cheek.
In Jonathan’s slumber his hand raises a little and Stewy moves his hand towards it and Jonathan’s small fingers instinctively wrap around one of Stewy’s fingers. It’s such a beautiful sight and it’s amazing how small Jonathan is and how his hand doesn’t even cover all of just one of Stewy’s fingers.
It’s a pure domestic sight.
Love is coursing through each fibre of your being for your husband next to you and your newborn son in your arms. It’s such a sweet moment, the whole experience had been honestly. You tilt your head to look at Stewy for a moment, one hand of his gently placed on your arm and the other still there and while Jonathan has his fingers wrapped around Stewy you know that Stewy’s the one wrapped around his finger already.
Nobody could understand your parents. You never understood your parents. A confusing phenomenon as you’d gotten older but you really don’t get them right now, in this moment. Jonathan’s only minutes old and you’re so in love, he’s perfect, he’s done nothing wrong and even if he had done something wrong- he’s just a child, deserving of love.
You and your siblings had always been made to believe that there was something wrong with you, raised to be poisoned instead of loved so that as adults you’d believe dysfunction was where you thrived. Caroline and Logan had set you all up to fail from the start. You’d always felt like that it was your fault that Caroline had never loved you, maybe she did in a twisted, absent way you supposed but she’d never loved you how a mother was supposed to love and protect their child. You wondered how she could feel that way about you and your siblings when you felt nothing but love for your child. How she felt was on her, it had nothing to do with you. You were a child and a child that deserved better.
Tears start to burn your eyes and you try to blink them away quickly, willing yourself not to cry. This realisation and the tenderness and love that Stewy already had and had no problem showing for the baby you shared was starting to hit pretty hard. You knew he was a better man than your father, you’d promised yourself you would never marry anyone who reminded you of Logan Roy, let alone continue that cycle. But it was such a stark contrast seeing Stewy this way, so in love with Jonathan and so supportive to you compared to how your father had been with you or any of your siblings and the relationship he had with Caroline.
The tears stream down your cheeks and you begin to cry, it’s all a lot to process and you know the environment, medications and hormones are probably heightening everything. You try to hold back on it but you end up choking on your sobs until it all comes out. You’re still securely holding onto Jonathan as your body shakes with your crying, you can feel the warm tears plastering themselves onto your cheeks like cement.
“Hey, hey baby. What’s wrong?” Stewy asks as he wraps his arms around you, pressing you against him while making sure you and Jonathan are both secure and physically comfortable. His voice is gentle but laced with concern and you can feel that in his comforting body.
“He’s just so perfect-” You say in between sobs, trying to regulate your breathing but it’s not doing much. “I just love him so much already and- and well, I just don’t get it. How a mother couldn’t…” You say as you continue to cry.
Stewy knows exactly what you mean, ever since he first befriended Kendall Roy he’s known that there was something extremely wrong with Logan Roy and Caroline Collingwood. He knew you weren’t like them and he was glad that you were able to accept that your childhood and those relationships weren’t your fault. For your love of your son to prove that.
He continued to hold you while you cried, placing gentle kisses all over your head and whispering to you. “I love you so much, you’re already an incredible mom. You are good. You didn’t deserve any of that. Him and I both love you so much already.” He lifts one hand up to stroke your cheek as he looks down at Jonathan who is still sleeping then looks back into your eyes. “He was so happy when he saw your face and heard your voice.” He laughs a little at that with a sweet, soft expression on his face. You nod a little, biting your lip as a small laugh comes out as your tears slow down.
“I love you.” You say to Stewy softly as your breathing evens out a bit more now.
“I love you more.” Stewy says softly, he presses a gentle kiss to your lips. “Thank you. You’ve made our family grow, literally. You’re perfect, and he’s perfect just like you.” Stewy says pressing a kiss to your forehead. You’ve stopped crying now and you lean a little more into Stewy as you both watch Jonathan sleep until a nurse eventually puts him into the nearby cot, insisting that you and Stewy both need your sleep.
***************************
“Hey, hey baby…” Connor says softly as he walks in to your room with a gentle smile. He has a small gift bag of something in one of his hands and a large bouquet of flowers in the other.
“Con?”
“Hey. I hope it’s not too early, I just needed to see how you were ASAP.” He says and chuckles anxiously a little. You can’t help but smile in return at him, it was early but you couldn’t be upset about it Connor was easy to be around and a gift of a sibling. But you knew that if it was a regular hospital he would’ve been escorted away for it not being visiting hours yet.
“It’s fine… I’m glad you’re here Con.” You say tiredly, his smile grows a little at that and his shoulders relax. You’d never been to him but he had been worried about intruding, he’d spent his whole life feeling like an intrusion to a private conversation at a party that he wasn’t invited to but everybody else was.
“How are you doing?” He asks.
“I’m okay… tired.” You respond with a smile and a small tired laugh looking over briefly at your husband who is still somewhat peacefully sleeping. As peacefully as you can in a hospital with a literal newborn.
“Yeah, I can only imagine…” Connor says as he comes over. “Wow, so that’s the little fella?”
You nod with a large smile as you look over at Jonathan sleeping. Connor’s face lightens up even more as he looks at Jonathan. He quietly coos at the little boy and that melts your heart a bit more. Connor had always been more of a father to you than Logan had ever been. It made sense that he’d be the first of your family to visit, unsurprisingly but unknown to you Connor had essentially been camping out to visit as soon as Stewy had texted him that your water had broken.
“Do you want to hold him?” You asked. Connor looked over at you somewhat surprised.
“Are you sure?” You chuckled a little at that.
“Of course. You had plenty of experience with all of us. An experienced natural.” He smiled at that and carefully lifted Jonathan up into his arms, supporting his small body as he swayed a little with him.
“He’s adorable.” Connor said softly, he was speaking to you but his gaze was focused on Jonathan. He was absolutely smitten by his nephew and he knew he’d spend the rest of his life doting on the little boy. “Still Jonathan?” He asked.
“Yeah, we decided to stick with it. He’s barely a day old but I think it suits.” You answer with a content hum. Connor nods at that smiling widely.
It’s not long after that that another visitor waltzs in, lacking any sense of noise control and quickly waking up Stewy from his slumber next to you.
“What up motherfuckers! I hear the newest edition has arrived?” Roman says with a smirk as he comes into the room. Connor shushes him, and Stewy’s eyes open and he shoots Roman a glare.
“Roman!” You say quietly but pointedly, as Jonathan stirs in Connor’s arms. Connor starts to sway again and coo at Jonathan but Stewy quickly puts his arms out to hold his son. Connor gently places Jonathan in Stewy’s arms and that settles him a little bit.
Roman’s eyes have widened at the scene of seeing his nephew. He quickly walks over closer to the bed to look down at Jonathan as Connor takes a seat. Roman’s expression screws up for a moment and you look up at him confused.
“Oh shit Porce…” Roman says and your head instantly snaps to look at Jonathan, his colour hasn’t changed, he doesn’t look like he’s in discomfort or anything but Roman’s ominous statement has unnerved you.
“What is it Rome…?” You ask desperately.
“When the fuck did you have the affair?” Roman boldly questions.
“What?!” You question in shock as Stewy tiredly rolls his eyes at Roman’s dramatics.
“I thought- I thought he was mine?! He looks NOTHING like me! He looks like him!” Roman says as he points at Stewy.
“Oh my God, Rome. Stop!” You say with a sigh not being in the mood for this.
“Jesus Christ, yeah, I know of people in the Bible too! But well, I think after a few years I might be able to love him like he’s my own anyway.” Roman says. Stewy’s gaze lands on Roman and Roman giggles a little as Stewy is visibly unimpressed.
“Didn’t we have the conversation about how problematic and inappropriate that is a multitude of times during the pregnancy Rome?” Stewy asks.
“Yeah but that was the pregnancy. Porce isn’t pregnant currently.” Roman retorts and you scoff at that. He comes over to give you a somewhat awkward side hug, he treats you like you’re a human made of the porcelain of your infamous moniker as he’s weary of the pain and state your body would be in after labour. He gives your cheek a quick kiss and you squeeze his hand as he steps back.
Roman’s face softens a little as he looks at Jonathan, he’ll admit that the baby is cutte. He kind of wants to hold him but he’s a bit scared to do that right now with how tiny he looks. Currently Jonathan looks more fragile to him than what you do.
***************************************
Roman hadn’t stayed for much longer, hospitals unnerved him a little and that room had quickly felt a bit too claustrophobic for him with the lack of dysfunction. Connor stayed for a while but to give you all a nap and another try at feeding. He promised to stop by again and constantly reiterated that he was just a phone call or text away.
You were so in love with and in absolute awe of your little boy. It was so encompassing. You were’t even anxious about your father visiting. You hadn’t thought of your father yet but there was nothing that Logan could say or do that would take away or ruin the joy of the existence of Jonathan.
Kendall had sent a congratulatory text to Stewy, along with that Rava, Sophie and Iverson were looking forward to meeting him and that Rava had already organised flowers and a gift basket which had arrived not much longer after the text had been sent. Kendall hadn’t wanted to bombard you, which was something that Rava had highlighted, you and Stewy both knew that was a sentiment that came more from Rava and the truth was that Kendall rarely made the time of day for his own children, so he wouldn’t do that for your own child.
You weren’t too bothered by that, you didn’t imagine much could bother you when there was so much joy because of your little family. It was thoughtful of Rava and at least thoughtful in words from Kendall, you knew that Kendall loved you in his own unique way. He just had difficulty functioning outside of being the perfect cog in his father’s machine.
You were yet to hear anything from Shiv yet, but again, that didn’t completely surprise you.
“Hey honey, Marcia just texted that they’re coming.” Stewy says breaking you out of your thoughts. You nod and place a kiss to his temple and he yawns as he sits back up, placing his phone back into his pocket as he rubs his face tiredly. You snuggle up into his side, trying to get comfortable as you watch Jonathan sleep in the hospital cot. You still feel tired even after your nap but you can’t help but smile when looking at that small human.
Stewy kisses the top of your head and then gets up to gently pick Jonathan up from the cot. Stewy’s often gentle with you but it’s so different seeing him that way with a tiny human, the tiny human that’s yours and his. Stewy supports his small body and smiles while looking down at Jonathan, his smile grows as Jonathan still seems at peace while in his father’s literal supportive arms.
You smile warmly at the sight, feeling warm and cosy inside. You’re in such awe with Jonathan that you don’t even feel anxious about your father coming because frankly there isn’t anything he could say or do to take away from the perfect bundle of joy snuggled into your husbands arms.
After about half an hour your father walks in with Marcia by his side as usual, you give them both a small smile as your gaze briefly flickers away from Jonathan in Stewy’s arms. Marcia comes over and quickly asks how you are, giving you a kiss on the cheek and warmly squeezing your hand.
“So?” Your father quickly asks looking at the infant and Marcia gives him a pointed look.
“This is Jonathan Hosseini.” Stewy says softly, as he rocks Jonathan gently not looking at either Marcia or Logan. Marcia smiles at that slightly.
“Can I hold him?” Logan asks quickly. You feel Stewy tense a little at that, such a contrast to the ridiculously relaxed in stressful situations type of person that Stewy normally is. You look up at your father, his expression appears genuine but it takes you aback. You didn’t recall your father actually making an appearance like this to the hospital at Iverson’s birth let alone having an interest in either of his grandchildren from Kendall.
“Do you want to sit down to do that? You can better support him that way.” You say rather meekly, he rolls his eyes a little at that but complies. Sitting down and Stewy carefully places Jonathan in his arms, staying nearby and Marcia smiles at the scene.
“He looks a lot like like Stewy.” Logan says while holding the small boy.
He had his father’s eyes, hair, face shape and nose. The shape of his mouth was the same as yours though, something Stewy had immediately pointed out not long into Jonathan’s existence. It was really the only physical feature of yours that you could see in your son, it genuinely amazed you how Jonathan was barely out of the womb but was already a spitting image of his father.
“Yeah, we were kind of hoping for that.” You say quietly while looking at your precious bundle of joy. Your father looks up at you with confusion etched onto his face as he looks at you waiting for clarification on why you’d want something he finds to be so dreadful. You clear your throat and continue, trying to suppress a small laugh at the mild disgust on his face.“Roman had been telling people it was his.”
Your father sighs at that, visibly unimpressed and the mild disgust turns to a glimpse of disappointed horror. It almost hurts to see him looking like that while holding your newborn son but you know that it’s aimed at your non-present brother and not at you.
“He needs help…” Logan says as he looks down at Jonatah. “Jonathan has your mouth though Porce.” He says and that seems to bring a small smile to his face. “Well he’s blood so that’s good.” You don’t say anything to that, you’re not sure how to respond but it certainly throws you off and Stewy senses that.
It’s not long before Marcia has a turn holding Jonathan, you feel more comfortable with him in her arms than your fathers. But your father has his gaze locked on Jonathan the whole time and an interest in him that he never seemed to have in you or your siblings which surprises and unnerves you a little.
You’re not sure how long as time moves so bizarrely in hospital but after at least a few more minutes of this, Marcia places Jonathan into your arms, they decide it’s now best to leave as Jonathan is in need of a feeding.
“You did good, Porce.” Your father says somewhat softly, maybe the softest you’ve ever heard him speak as he comes over to press a kiss to the top of your head.
“Thanks dad.” You speak the words hesitantly, unsure of the hidden meaning behind the odd praise from your father.
“Thank you Porce.” He says and again, the not so hidden meaning in those words unnerves you a bit.
You watch him as him and Marcia leave. Then your attention swiftly turns back to your sweet little boy.
“He’s so precious.” You say to Stewy as you hold him. Stewy laughs a little and nods, giving you a sweet kiss on the lips.

Hello hello lovelies!!!
I just want to say that i'm SO SO SO SO sorry that i haven't posted any fics in almost a month! normally I'd post something weekly but it's been intense lately! As a lot of you will know I've been dealing with a lot of health stuff lately, in the last month my fatigue has been really bad and that and pain have turned me into a bit of a hermit, which also started to take a hit on my mental health. So I've been exhausted and depressed and just didn't have the energy for writing- I haven't even been reading fics (I guess that means hopefully soon I'll be up for some binge reading though!)
I just wanted to say that I haven't stopped and I promise there's more coming! I am away for a small holiday this week to try and help with making me feel better but I promise there will be completed Stewy fics in the next couple of weeks! To prove this (lol) and to hopefully help out with the lack of pieces from me here are some little previews/sneak peaks of scenes from a few different pieces (the one about glasses is from a 'Furtive Hands' universe prompt that im excited to get out as well- do yourself a favour and search 'Arian Moayed glasses') also I will hug and be best friends with anyone who can spot the glee reference 👀
Also there's some Stewy angst?! Which everyone seems to want lol
I'm also rewatching Daredevil (prompted by the lovely Bear Nonnie) so maybe there will be more Marvel fics in the nearish future as well?!
Do feel free to interact and send asks! I've missed you all! And I adore and appreciate you all, so, so, so much! 💗 💗💗💗

(3) It’s like Meg March said to Jo on the 2019 movie version of little women : just because my dreams are different than yours , they’re not less important. And I really felt that. Which is why I became instantly obsessed with Shark and Porce; it’s like they can’t see her real power, because they’re all so obsessed in their own power game;
I LOVE THAT QUOTE SO MUCH PRISCILLA NONNIE!
When I saw that film for the first time and that scene happened I was just amazed, it was put so eloquently and just perfectly! I think my brain short-circuited honestly just because of the awe and amazement at that small but brilliant line. Because there's that pressure where for women it's like all that exists it's essentially either being a Jo or Meg (in terms of their roles/careers in society) it isn't presented as more nuanced which it is. & feminism is about choice, having the choice to be a metaphorical Jo, Meg, Amy and Beth (still crying over Beth each time I think of her, regardless of the adaptation) somebody in between or nothing like any of them. And they're ALL valid options that are equal to each other. There's so many brilliant pieces of dialogue in that adaptation! So much love went into that film I swear.
Such a sweet comparison, and I agree! Adore you nonnie! Thank you for sending this in!

I was thinking:What if Porces middle name is Rose? and that's another one of the reasons why Logan treats her with care? Maybe the idea he has of his late sister passed on to her?I know it might be too freudian, but I kept wondering
Hey lovely Dani!
I could see this! When we learnt in S3 that Kendall's initials were KLR I had a strong feeling it was Logan which was then confirmed in S4. So I had wondered about Shiv's middle name being Rose.
I'm personally split in two minds about Shiv and/or Porce having Rose as a middle name. I think in some ways it does make sense but I do also wonder if maybe Logan wouldn't have done that just because of his guilt over her death and how painful it is for him to talk about her/what happened. I mean the Roy siblings didn't even know the context of her death but knew it was painful enough that they had weaponised it like with Rhea in S2. I could see it either why honestly!
Also Porcelain is just a nickname but I was just thinking that Porcelain Rose sounds like the name of a concealer or blush colour for someone with a really pale complexion or a really pale pink lipstick.

porce Nonnie here! i’ve been summoned lol.
As always thank you for such a great one-shot, i died when Shiv kinda interjected about moving in with Tom, it was just so typically Shiv, to try to get the upper hand. Anyways when i do requests i guess i make them more detailed to just offer more options, i’m sorry if it didn’t mention it initially but never feel like you have to adhere to allllll my requests it’s more like throwing a bunch at the wall and seeing what sticks, so like never be afraid to alter them or even just not do them if that’s what your muse wants lol. like this is the fruits of your labor and your work so ur the boss 😎
as for what i thought Porces career would be (again feel free to go your own route). She would own a decently sized commercial space that she would operate as a fair trade cafe/bookstore and community space. She would hire struggling artists/writers/actors and pay them a fair liveable wage to not only operate the cafe/store but also host community events (like art galleries, workshops for vulnerable communities, fundraisers etc) so she has like capable staff meaning she doesn’t need to always be there. She holds fundraisers for causes she likes (makes Stewy bring his work colleagues and donate) and it’s funny i headcanoned that at first her employees would really side eye her, considering she is a roy, and a capitalist and they are socialists (borderline communists) but ofc need the money to live in such an expensive city so they’d suck it up. they kind of warm up to her and give her funny little lessons on meme culture and slang, (they would operate the cafes socials). Porce would really come to care for her employees and not to self insert but a few of them are queer artists and veer Porce to queer causes which she welcomes (especially after having children) but with the events of succession and Logan’s support of Mencken she can’t really stand around and do nothing, she can’t just be avoidant and try to “not talk politics” as the employees she cares about are really the ones who will directly suffer. She experiences their emotions and they might even lash out at her (some might quit) and it really shocks her into action, maybe leading to the confrontation of her father. (idk i’m thinking this up as i go).
i also had one more headcanon, and really this one was inspired by your writings, how tender Porce was with her babies 🥹🥹🥹. put it’s pretty much at the birth of jonathan, and even though she’s been doing therapy after she has him she really just breaks down crying because she loves him sooooo much, already and he’s only been alive for minutes. And she quietly loves Jonathan and has Stewy embrace her and thank her for making their family grow.
Hello lovely Porce Nonnie! Thank you for appearing for your summoning haha!
Aw, thank you so much! That part was definitely the hardest one of this fic, I was worried about the flow of it and capturing it. I'm really glad that you liked it!
I love how detailed your prompts are! I genuinely do, they're so special and thoughtful! I think this technically makes you my muse in a way haha? But thank you Nonnie, I appreciate you saying that anyway! I am a people pleaser and despite all the amazing support, I still feel like my writing isn't great, so I just worry about disappointing you and other Nonnies when writing the requests, I guess? I'm working on the people-pleaser/anxiety stuff haha. But thank you, I appreciate it x
Okay, I just looked at your original asks with the prompts so we can create a little masterplan for a career (the closest to an architect I'll ever be lol 😎). Which mentioned the NFP that has support and services for underprivileged mothers. I can totally see that! (I'm going to alter the commercial space a little bit here...) Maybe in a borough like the Bronx and it's a community centre with services like mental health support, some pregnancy-related ones, clothing/period product donations etc. and it includes free community events and fundraisers (would definitely drag Stewy and all of his/her sibling's finance bros and their cheque books along) like different types of art classes, music and language classes, creative writing workshops, 'diverse' book readings, drag queen story hour events (I could also see this linking to the publishing idea and I think after talking about it I'm more sold on it?!) These are done by local/smaller creatives and they're handsomely compensated along with a bit of gallery space there as well for them. I do like the publishing idea so I'll chuck that in there as well and I can see that fitting in with what's been discussed. Even though I like to think Porce is a bit nicer than the other Roys, she is a Roy and she's also married to Stewy and like you said, they're all massive capitalists. This might be getting a bit too political for a fic for some people's taste lol but it's a fact that an ethical billionaire does not exist. There's wishful thinking in the fics but I can't be that wishful with those capitalist billionaires 😂I feel like a Fairtrade coffeeshop/bookstore is just too normal/ethical and they'd all be too out of touch for that if that makes sense? And she'd be lovely to the employees but I think her being out of touch would show and that she wouldn't interact with them too much/be on the ground. She'd pay her employees well, would be more than happy to support queer employees and queer causes, she would definitely be an ally 💅I'm also queer and am happy for people to think Porce is queer and to have a bi or pan identity written in, don't apologise for a self-insert they're more than welcome lovely Nonnie! I think that some would warm up more than others but they'd all find her/her life absolutely ridiculous.
Do you remember last year I think it was, when there was the whole "little miss (insert something)" meme going around? I can totally see them calling her "little miss philanthropist" and then having to explain it to her. She'd tell Kendall about it and he'd have a few that he's found that he's related to and wanted to send to someone and he'd start playfully calling her that (it's happened, I know. Ken told me).
I know you put some prompts in about the bear hug/proxy battle and I have started a fic for the bear hug/Shiv's wedding. That will obviously put a divide between her and her family and I feel like that starts to create more distance and then with what happens in S2 with cruises it creates more and cements the distance. We see Kendall has some kind of moral compass at times but it tends to be the cover/justification for him doing something that benefits him/fires back at is dad and is performative. I think porce is definitely not perfect because she's part of those systems but I like to think she has more of a genuine moral compass and is really horrified and disgusted at what happened and her family's involvement and complicity. I think she'd be very openly anti-Mencken and when Shiv's in that picture with him in S3 I feel like she'd call Shiv and be absolutely disappointed and basically scold her which would shock her. She'd be vocally upset with Kendall about the events of America Decides as well.
OH, I LOVE THAT LAST IDEA NONNIE! OMG!
I've had a couple of requests/questions about the reaction to Jonathan/similar to this and I had started to write one based on one of the other ones and I had pictured a scene similarish to part of what you described which is so cool! I think I'll combine those prompts/ideas into a fic and maybe it'll be this week's edition of Porce and the Shark...👀(I think it's so wholesome and I LOVE IT). Such a beautiful idea Nonnie, thank you!
Let me know if you have any thoughts, I'm also happy to chat about this in comments, ask box or over messages! Sorry for how long this became Nonnie, I appreciate and adore you so much! Thank you 💗

Lana, I don’t know if you are a swiftie or not, but I was watching a video of Channing Tatum and his daughter at the concert this weekend and had an epiphany of Stewy and Porce taking Jonathan and Matilda and the thought of them trading friendship bracelets with people who see the good in Porce rather than the bad of her family 😩 like so much joy and love and girl power and ugh… I just love it so much.
You have literally made my idea of Stewy into something entirely different and for that — I AM SO GRATEFUL! We love Dad Stewy over here!
Hello lovely Kelsey!
That's so sweet but I'm sorry to disappoint but I'm not a Swiftie! I don't follow Channing Tatum but hasn't he also done a children's book series or something inspired by his daughters during the pandemic? Sounds like he has MASSIVE girl dad energy which is amazing! Also I've seen a couple of tik toks about the bracelets... is there a reason behind it? It seems wholesome I was just wondering! I saw a tik tok of Max Greenfield going with his daughters and getting a bunch (yes I was a Schmidt girl back in the day)
OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH!!!! THAT IS SO SWEET, YOU ARE SO SWEET! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! That makes me so happy, I adore you so much, I am so, so, so, so, so grateful for your kind words! You're a literal angel! That's so sweet! Yes, we absolutely love doting dad Stewy here!

I was on the bus this afternoon and going through some tumblr notes/asks and listening to a random playlist of mine and Matilda by Harry Styles started playing. It reminds me so much of Porce?!?!?! Does anyone else see that? I don't really listen to a lot of Harry Styles but what a beautiful song!

I was rewatching season 3(the Kendall birthday episode) and I thinking, maybe Stewy and Porce are married, or other story of course; and the part where Ken takes the siblings to see the mocking pictures and it could have one of Porce and Stewy together and Kendall "jokes" about the "crying baby and the shark" and it really upsets her(as it should) and even the siblings are upset by this, and she just turns to him and says "this is why my kids are playing with their cousins(Sophie and Iverson) ,so they don't grow up like you" and goes away. I think that'd be powerful, because the kids have a true bond, Rava and Porce are true friends and Ken is a j*rk, and when Stewy finds out, there'll be a reckoning
Porcelain and the Shark: Too Much Birthday
Tumblr media
Pairing: Stewy Hosseini x f (Roy) reader
(reader has anxiety, no use of y/n, physical descriptions or other names but does have the nickname Porcelain/Porce - due to family viewing her that way not because of her complexion)
Word count: 3.1K
Chapter warning: 18+ MDNI (smut-free fic) established relationship, fluff, soft Stewy, anxious reader, some familial angst, some cussing, some misogynistic views, Roys being Roys.
Authors note: Thank you so much for sending this in lovely Nonnie! It was such an inspiring ask, I hope you don't mind the few changes I made, please do let me know what you think! I adore you! I'm so glad to be out of hospital and after reading this prompt I was inspired to rewatch this S3 episode. I went a little off-track and I think this one is a bit different to other fics but I made the connection about the misogynistic tones with this and also the poster that Shiv had and saw it as a great opportunity to explore and develop Porce and Shiv's dynamic. Especially with all the asks about girlhood in film and then with the Barbie film re-prompting those conversations I just wanted to explore it even more (this doesn't have Barbie spoilers or mentions btw) so I finished it pretty quickly. It's nice to be back! I'm still pretty unwell despite being out of the hospital so I can't promise or commit to a writing schedule again yet but I'll definitely still be writing more Stewy (I've had a few Barbie inspired asks which I want to get around to asap as well haha). I appreciate you all and I hope you enjoy this! Please do let me know what you think, I'd really appreciate it! Comments, reblogs and asks are more than welcome and appreciated! I adore you all! 💗(PS this hasn't been proofread..."
*****************************
Kendall was sensitive, controlling, and obsessive. Which often manifested around certain significant events and moments in his life. It was a quality all of the Roy children seemed to share to an extent, you’d seen it in your siblings numerous times and even occasionally yourself.
Kendall’s birthdays were often disastrous, he wanted perfection, he wanted to fill the hollowness inside with extravagance, validation and company. But it never quite was good enough, it was always disappointing and fell through somehow. You knew the self-created stakes would be even higher for Kendall as it was a ‘significant’ birthday along with the latest edition of family drama. Shiv’s letter had hit pretty hard and far.
You weren’t sure if any of your siblings would go, probably Connor, loyal as always. Rome? Maybe? He had an interesting, pained soft spot for Kendall. Shiv…? You’d think she wouldn’t want to show after recent events but Shiv was cunning and clever. She could show up to play a mind game perhaps? Or maybe they’d show up on behalf of your dad to really get into Kendall’s head. Would your father even attend? You assumed he’d been invited.
It was a lot of questions swirling around in your mind, you weren’t sure of any of those answers. Which was part of the reason why you were certain you needed to go, some visible and physical support for Kendall as you knew he’d be crumbling, you’d all been walking on eggshells your whole lives but the last few years for Kendall, they’d been getting more and more brittle.
You feel a little anxious as you’re stuck so deep inside your head until a familiar and soft voice brings you back.
“Where’d you go?”
His tone is laced with neutrality and an air of caution but his face clearly says that he thinks this is all a bad idea. He looks at you sitting down, facing the mirror, he thinks you look gorgeous but he notices your legs bouncing now that you’re back in reality.
“I was just thinking about Ken.” You try to keep your voice level, without a drop of any emotion.
“We don’t have to go-”
“No-”
“I don’t think we should go.” Stewy resigns. It’s at least the twelfth time he’s said it today.
Stewy hadn’t RSVP’d, he hadn’t acknowledged his separate invitation to yours and had been somewhat silent regarding Kendall. Which was extremely unusual. He didn’t like the direction of the mess of Waystar’s strategic and boardroom politics and his relationship with your family personally and professionally was strained.
You had to go to Kendall’s birthday to support him and you didn’t want to go alone. You felt bad about it but you and Stewy were both aware that the optics of Stewy being there was beneficial for Kendall’s sake.
“I know.” You sigh as you shift a little so that your head is facing him more as you look up at him standing. “He needs this though…And I need you.” You walk over to Stewy, giving him a gentle peck on his soft lips. “Please?” You press your lips against his and wrap your arms around the back of his neck as it deepens, his tongue brushes against yours and your hand tangles a little in his hair as you feel his hands wrap securely around your waist.
“We’ll just go for a little bit?” Your voice is soft as you break away from the kiss, you start to caress his cheek, your fingers dancing over his handsome beard that never ceases to amaze you with how well-trimmed and clean it is. Stewy tilts his head to gently lean his forehead against yours and nods as he inhales.
“You’re too good to me.” You whisper as you give him another kiss on the lips, you can taste the whiskey on him from his drink that’s sitting across the room half-empty. He’s sweet and his touch is so gentle with you.
“Well you’re perfect, you deserve nothing less baby.” He says as he gives you a quick but soft kiss on the lips. “Now, am I matching my turtleneck to what you’re wearing?” He asks with a smug smile. You laugh a little at that and nod, giving his cheek another stroke and then a quick peck on his lips before he squeezes your side and then walks over to the walk-in wardrobe.
****************************
You’d always been anxious about the concept of nannies and babysitters and when those services had been needed you’d preferred to have Connor (when possible) and Stewy’s family watch your children. But you trusted Rava with your life, you adored her and you knew she adored Sophie and Iverson more than anything. So with her reassurance, your children were with their cousins and would be looked after by Rava’s nanny. Sophie had been loudly looking forward to some quality time with her younger cousins which was sweet.
Those thoughts and the anxiety you’d had quickly left your mind though as you and Stewy walked into the venue and through what you were horrified and shocked to learn was a model of Caroline’s vagina.
“Do you think he talked to her about…this…?” You asked Stewy with widened eyes as you waved your hand around gesturing to the bizarre scene of a campy body horror film in front of you.
“No.” Stewy said as his eyes flitted across the room once again to take in the nurses, surgical equipment and very briefly, a “replica” of his mother-in-law's vagina. It was beyond reason, even for Kendall. “They don’t talk in the first place.” He spoke as his hand wrapped around your waist a bit tighter, pulling you in closer as he then navigated you both towards the bar. Stewy was certain alcohol would be necessary to make this night bearable, it was inevitable that someone would blow up.
As you and Stewy stand by the bar waiting for your drinks a man comes over, you don’t think you’ve seen him before and you’re not the biggest fan of the smug expression on his face as his eyes hone in on you.
“Hey, I’m Kyle.” He says boldly, Stewy’s right next to you with his hand on the small of your back. Your ring is visibly on your finger. You’re kind of surprised at the audacity of him, especially with Stewy right next to you. You look at him a bit confused, hoping he’ll end it but his smile persists. “So what’s your name?”
You say your first name as Stewy wraps his arms around you, leaning against your back with his head on your shoulder, making a point.
“Shit, you’re a Roy?!” Kyle asks, you see the flash of excitement in his eyes at that prospect. It grosses you out.
“Hosseini Roy.” You say somewhat firmly, as Stewy quirks an eyebrow and then starts to press some kisses to your shoulder and your exposed neck.
“Right, where’s your husband Ms Roy?” Kyle asks. You don’t know if he’s a stupid asshole or an arrogant one but you know for sure he’s one either way. You feel Stewy chuckle a little at that as the movement of it and its breath tickles your neck.
“The international space station-” You dramatically quip, and Stewy stops his kisses for a moment to laugh at that against your neck. This stranger is being ridiculous and so you may as well if he’s going to be so oblivious, it just so happened to be convenient that Tillie really liked space books and toys at the moment.
“That must be lonely-” Kyle cuts you off and the smirk on his face is too much. You scrunch your face up at him in annoyance.
“Can’t you see that my husband is here? Literally right here?! The whole time you’ve been doing this. Why the cuss did my brother invite you?” You ask with an eye roll as you take Stewy’s hand and walk off before Kyle has a chance to say anything else.
“What a douche.” You say as you lean your head against Stewy’s arm. He pecks a kiss to the top of your forehead with a grin on your face.
“You handled that impeccably.” He says with a small chuckle.
“Well, your act was pretty good.” You say moving your hand to rest against his back and trace patterns there.
“The international space station, I’ve never been. Do you think it has some villas with good views?” He asks playfully.
“Possibly. I don’t think we should invest in space tourism or realty though.” You answer and he laughs.
“Does Tillie think I’m an astronaut?” He asks, thinking about Tillie’s fascination with space.
“No. She’s never said it and I haven’t told her that. But I do think our children are far too young to understand the financial market.”
“You sure? I’d understand if you were worried Jonathan was going to mansplain stocks to you.” Stewy teases, as he presses another kiss to your head as you scoff.
“We’ll leave the mansplaining to you, darling.” You say tilting your head up from his arm to press a kiss to his lips, they’re soft and warm. He looks at you with a large smile.
It’s not long after that that somebody who knows Stewy through work comes over and the three of you have a conversation for a few minutes, you’re pressed into Stewy’s side with his arm around you. You tilt your head and then you see Shiv and Roman coming in and then there’s Ken.
You’re stuck inside with a hit of worry at first, you look at your handsome husband as he’s mid-sentence talking to this finance bro that you’re not the biggest fan of but who is considerably less gross than Kyle. As Stewy finishes his sentence you quickly cut in placing a hand gently on his cheek, he leans into the touch and looks into your eyes affectionately.
“Sorry, Kendall’s over there, I’m going to go over. I’ll find you after okay?” You ask.
“Yeah, of course, baby.” He nods and your lips brush for a quick affectionate kiss, you apologise to the man that you’ve been in a conversation with who nods as you walk off.
You walk over to where three of your siblings are discussing and come over when you hear Shiv saying she couldn’t find a card that said “Happy birthday” and “Get well soon” You look at her with a somewhat pointed expression, she shrugs slightly and raises her eyebrows at you.
After he hugs Shiv, Kendall’s eyes land on you and he smiles. You can tell that he’s glad Shiv and Roman came, even if they’re biting him. It makes you sad but you’re glad that he at least has some solace in that. There’s a bit of banter and you do raise your eyebrows when Roman asks about the vagina replica. When he does his little pleased expression and gesture at being told he can take it home you glare at him.
“Roman!” You exclaim and he smirks at you.
When Shiv asks if Stewy is there, there’s a pointed look from her, some smugness and a pointed look from Kendall but it’s different. It’s more desperate. You nod.
“Yeah, uh- Stewy’s here. He was talking to some finance bro. He’ll come over soon Ken. I just wanted to say hi first” You say. You’re not sure if it’s a half-lie or not yet. But you know it’s better for Kendall’s sake for you to say it, he nods at that and there’s a look in his eyes that you can’t read but boy does it worry you. Shiv drops a few more names and it’s very clear that she and Roman showed up to use it as a business opportunity.
“Hey, I got something to show you. This way. This way!” Kendall says somewhat excitedly and then walks ahead with the Roy siblings following him.
You watch Roman hand Kendall an envelope and after that he retreats back a bit for Shiv to go ahead of him, you raise your eyebrows at him and he raises them back at you.
“Please tell me you’re not stirring the pot?” You ask quietly as you walk side by side.
“I’m not- it’s nice- it’s nice. It’ll be good for Ken.” Roman says, his tone is earnest which surprises you.
Kendall then grabs your attention by talking about what he’s going to show you, you recognise some of the names and you’re intrigued by whatever it is based on that and Kendall’s imagination.
You walk into a room that’s being used as an art gallery space. As you walk in your eyes are immediately assaulted by the fictional headline of Roman. Roman’s response is more upbeat and amused than the tone of his voice or his facial expression. You can see it in his eyes, he’s retreated somewhat and he seems to get lost the longer he looks at it. Everyone knows of his intimacy issues and it’s cruel to point them out in this way you think.
You look at Shiv’s and you just feel angry. It’s a pit in your stomach of fire and you don’t feel this way often, it’s an odd feeling but it’s strong. Connor gets angry with Kendall over his and you understand that but you’re more focused on this. What was Kendall saying? Adding more stigma and cruel jokes onto sex workers? Shaming his sister for her sexuality? Reducing her to just an anti-feminist sex joke?
Shiv’s bobbed around hers and then her eyes land on your one. You turn, already upset at Shiv’s as you clock her shocked gaze at yours before you get a chance to look at it, to process it.
It’s an image of you from your childhood as a baby, it’s been digitally altered so that you’re a baby and you’re in shark-infested waters. You read the headline and comments and feel tears forming in your eyes and they’re hot. Your eyes flit between yours and Shiv, Shiv’s doing her best to hide her discomfort.
Shiv looks at you, her eyes silently saying “I can’t say anything.” And she can’t. You know that. Each step of hers is a careful calculation to avoid the emotional, hormonal, overbearing, hypersensitive, incompetent woman accusations they already throw at her. Whether it’s unspoken or spoken, and it’s both, they all say her head is unfit for that coveted heavy crown.
As a woman, sister, and mother, it’s already there. Your fate, reputation, and purpose. You’re emotional, a crybaby, sensitive and hormonal. But unlike your siblings, and well Shiv, you do not need nor want that tragic fate that they all betray each other for. While there is a sting in providing them ammunition for those perceived claims from your actions and words, it won’t kill you in the same way. You give Shiv a small nod, a silent “I know.” That is only for her.
“What the absolute fuck Ken?” You ask, he looks at you with raised eyebrows.
“What?” He asks with a chuckle.
“What the fuck is this?” You ask gesturing behind you to the large images of you and Shiv in your brother’s eyes.
“It’s a joke, c’mon you don’t need to uh get so emotional about it-” He says and you let out a humourless laugh at that.
“Kendall?! This is disgusting! You’ve reduced Shiv to ‘wife of Tom Wamsgams’ yes, because that’s all she is?! A wife? Oh, and it’s an embarrassing joke to say she’s a sex worker?! So your Times Up campaign is just strictly performative? Mr Fuck the Patriarchy is actually a SWERF trying to humiliate his sister and women for an already stigmatised career? And this is coming from the fact that Shiv has a sexuality…?” You question, he looks at you, not saying a word. Shiv stands near you watching you carefully, as Roman looks down uncomfortably and Connor and Willa stand together tensely. You’ve never spoken out like this against any of them.
“And what is this?” You exclaim as you point to the image behind you. “I’m your sister, you’re meant to care about me. Not infantilise me like that and make cruel, perverted jokes about my marriage. It’s sick Kendall. Stewy and I are there for our kids- we probably see Sophie and Iverson more than you do. This is why they’re close and Rava and I work so hard with them all, so they don’t end up doing this.” You breathe out shakily for a second, Connor looks at you sympathetically, Shiv is still silent but she’s grateful for everything being said. The tears are hot and burn your cheeks where they stay. “You have no idea what it’s like and you’re part of the problem. This is just cruel and it all reeks of so much fucking misogyny. I’ve-I’ve defended you. I’ve defended and supported you my whole life- I didn’t, I didn’t even sign that letter because it was harsh and cold but this is misogynistic and disgusting. This is just so mean and gross.” You finish.
“Fuck off.” Kendall says, it’s somewhat playfully, he has a smirk on his face but it doesn’t reach his eyes.
“I can’t do this Ken, I can’t. You need to reflect on this and just do better. For us, Rava, Sophie. Just everyone.” You sigh out as more tears come, there’s nothing else to say to him and you’re ready to leave.
Shiv looks at you again, it’s not a scowl or an attempt at nonchalance. It’s also not a smile but her facial expression has softened. There’s another silent conversation, one that surprises you both as they often happen with every other sibling you have except each other. For you both, it’s a moment of understanding. It’s a genuine thank you and the usual, unusual display of Roy love and affection. You both do care about the other and you’re bonded in the impossible difficulties of being a woman. A brief few seconds of sisterhood are shared between you both. For possibly the first time, and even though you both know Shiv may never see you as more than competition due to her nature and your upbringing, you hope it’s not the last time.
You nod looking at her, giving her a small, tight-lipped smile and then leave the room to find Stewy. Shiv watches you leave and gives your quickly retreading silhouette a small smile.

For porcelain and the shark I have a feeling the Jonathan’s baby shower was a mess
Hello lovely Nonnie!
How are you? Thank you for sending this through!
It was definitely stressful and a mess! Porce would've basically had a constant panic attack before, during and after it all. She would've been obsessively fixating on small things to try and make that perfect because she knows something will happen/be said just like any other Roy event.
It's also the first time Caroline would've seen Porce since the pregnancy was announced and you can imagine how awful and dramatic that would be! Porce would be doing a lot of internal screaming and Stewy would be physically face palming himself over the bs Caroline is saying. Roman will say something extremely inappropriate (of course).
They then have an ultrasound and testing done pretty much right after to make sure the stress hasn't done anything to the fetus. Then they just ghost everyone for a little bit and hole up somewhere nice to relax.
Because of this, it's safe to say and I can confirm that Tillie and no other following children had baby showers.
What do you think?
Thank you for this Nonnie! I hadn't even thought of this scenario, I hope you have a lovely day and are staying hydrated!

Porce and Shark(hehe) live free in my head right now!THEY'RE JUST THE CUTESTS!!!And the kids?😍😍😍!!!Don't ask me why but I have this idea that Yn loves to bake, especially with the little ones. They're always creating new memories and tradidtions with food and of course daddy Shark LOVES to help (don't mind me, I just binge watch all the studio ghibli animations for the past 2 days)💖💖
Hello, hello, hello lovely Nonnie!
Ah! That makes me so happy! They could definitely afford to be paying you for that accommodation though 🤣 I'm sorry that they're not haha! But thank you! What a compliment Yes they're a household of cuties!
Omg, I hadn't thought about that but I can definitely see that! I'll definitely be adding that info future porce and shark fics! Thank you so much for the idea. It's basically "canon" now!
Daddy Shark made me laugh SOOOO much omg 🤣 it also made me think of Baby Shark...
Here's a few thoughts on this that I'll include in future fics...
To a stranger there's just a random chair in the kitchen but it's the designated chair for Jonathan to stand on when he's baking with his mum.
There's a rostered afternoon each week for Hosseini household baking. Everybody absolutely loves it.
Porce/Roy reader probably wouldn't grown up with a lot of baking or spending time in the kitchen and so she only started in adulthood. She really enjoys the fact that it's something her kids are exposed to from a younger age.
Jonathan loves baking and takes it very seriously, he loves to help out however he can and follows instructions very well.
Stewy actually isn't too bad in the kitchen and has some great baking success but whenever he joins in he's usually more of a chaotic energy.
He's an absolute menace, he'll dip his fingers into batter to eat (that oral fixation) while Porce or Jonathan are stirring. He'll flick and wipe flour on everyone's clothes and faces with a small smirk.
He lives for the baking afternoon scolds he'll get because they're gentle and they look so unserious on you both. Plus toddlers unimpressed expressions are hilarious and we've already established Jonathan is a cutie so we know that would be adorable!
But if he's told to do something/given a baking job by you or sweet little Jonathan, he immediately does it, no hesitation.
After dinner, they'll watch something together as a family while eating some of the baking and it's one of the best parts of Stewy's week.
Stewy never complains about what Jonathan wants to watch even if it's the same thing but he'll have his favourites of Jonathan’s favourites and will try to hint at a certain one of Jonathan's favourites at times.
Also, because of the daddy shark comment it made me think of baby shark. Roman doesn't use ringtones and Stewy and him very rarely ever call each other but as soon as Baby Shark went viral, Roman made that Stewy's ring tone just out of the principle of the act and he was far too proud of himself for that idea.
PS I haven't seen any Studio Ghibli films but I've meaning to! The stills I've seen are so pretty visually and the storylines sound so beautiful. What are your favourites? What would you recommend to start with?
Thank you for sending all of this in Nonnie! It's great, I adore you! Have a virtual forehead kiss and hug if you'd like one!

What do you think would happen with the family/Stewy and Porce with the proxy fight?
Hello lovely Nonnie! What a great and big question! Bare with me for this ramble!
Future Porce and the Shark spoilers below!
It'll be a mess. An absolute mess. More of a mess than the usual Roy mess.
Things will start to become tense with Stewy abstaining from the board vote in S1. I could see Kendall lashing out at Porce about it (did I already start writing that a few weeks ago? Yes. Yes I did. So 👀). But Stewy's made it clear, he's behind whoever wins and I think he had intended to vote for Kendall until he saw the state of that board room and that it was a definite losing battle. He's clever, he played it perfectly in the situation and wasn't going to sacrifice himself for that. He would've been immediately upfront about what happened with Porce. Would she be happy? No, she would've been worried about Kendall as both Stewy and Roman betrayed him but she would've understood it.
Post that- is when angst is intoduced into Porce and the Shark! How are we feeling about that? I feel a bit torn, as some of you know I really struggle with angst and will avoid it at all costs. But I think this is an interesting part of the story and I think to explore this, angst is inevitable. Is this maybe spoilery, I guess so heads up for that!
With the bear hug at the end of S1. The angst will start to kick in. I don't think/plan to write that Stewy or Kendall would tell her about the bear hug. I know, I know! Stewy and Porce are communication champs. He wouldn't tell her not because he doesn't trust her, he does. But because he knows that with Kendall it'll create a Roy civil war which will hurt her and he wants to spare her of knowing for as long as he can and then he'll handle the aftermath of his and Kendall's actions. She'd find out at the wedding like everyone else does, she'd feel absolutely guilty and Shiv would hold it against her and make her feel so bad about it all. She'd try to talk Stewy out of it a bunch at the start and it'll be a kind of tragic "How do I fix this?" "Don't do it." "I have to." "I know." There'd be some trust issues and Porce would really struggle with the smear campaigns of her husband vs her siblings and father.
I also believe that Logan thinks he could plant the idea into Porce's head and talk her into divorcing Stewy and having full custody of Jonathan and Tillie. She'd be horrified and he'd really try to push it but she wouldn't budge on that. I'm tempted to write that up now that I've thought about it as well!
With the family in S2 of The "timeline" Porce would be more ostracised from the family. The only person who would keep genuine contact with her would be Connor. Kendall's in too much turmoil to think of her, Shiv would only contact her when she wants something or is trying to pull a game. I could see Logan asking Shiv to have some "girl talk" with Porce in an attempt to get ammo against Stewy/convince Porce to leave him and I think Porce would at first be touched at her sister reaching out. Giving Shiv the benefit of the doubt that it's something genuine and like sisterhood but being very upset to click what's going on. Roman also wouldn't contact Porce other than a few secret texts, he'd be cold but I think he'd be more conflicted than the others. We see that despite him being extremely cruel at times he does struggle a lot more with cutting out family members compared to the others as seen with Logan and Kendall. That could totally be argued with the power dynamic though but I also think it's partially that middle child, always being in the middle wanting everyone to get along and I think he finds Porce's existence comforting.
I think by the third season she's not so iced out but it's still a bit tense and then fourth season it's kind of better. Porce is definitely more sympathetic towards her siblings than her father and at that point it's not a plot point.
I think as a couple it'll impact their relationship, it'll raise some understandable distrust and hurt. Stewy will feel guilty and Porce won't like the dynamic of him feeling like he needs to make things up to her etc. It'll also force her to find her voice a bit and to kind of grow up in that way. It'll be rough, there will be angst, some interesting conversations but I want to say and promise that while it will be tense at times Stewy and Porce will be okay!!! I promise you they're more than okay!
I'd be interested to read your thoughts on this Nonnie and anyone else who wants to share theirs as well! Thank you so much for sending it in, I appreciate you doing so and taking the time to read my pieces. Have a great night 💗
