Well. That was a wild ride. incredible. amazingly shocking. 

Fisrt and foremost - ASDFGHJKL; AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Sokeefe. Is. Officially. CANNON!!!!!!!!!

secondly - whoa. that went from we lowkey ship gisela and vespra to holy shit dat bish ded.

thirdly - keefe being highkey prepared to kill gisela was deffinetly a shock but honestly it makes sense

fourth - pfgd keefe’s “I don’t wanna mess this up. Please don’t let me mess this up.” was so SWEET and SO SAD. im dying

I wanna preface this by saying that I loved Stellerlune, and I don't want to criticize the whole book. I also don't think the bad outweighed what I liked about the book. But.

Am I the only one who was just really... disappointed with the ending? And not just like, "oh, a cliffhanger, how could she do this to us"?

Nothing really happened for the first 500 pages, then there was a build up to the climax where it seems like Keefe is about to kill his mom, and then there's just this elf in a cloak? And that's it??

Shannon said this was the "turning point of the series" she was "building up to" this whole time, but if that were true she wouldn't have to say that! If the ending were actually as significant as she says it is, it should have been set up for the 8ish books that came before, but it wasn't.

Maybe it's significant, but it doesn't feel significant the way I think she intended it to. I have no problem with cliffhangers, especially from koltc, but this doesn't feel like a cliffhanger as much as the end of a chapter, if that makes sense.

It wasn't foreshadowed, Elysian isn't even named very far before this, and nothing was there to suggest this would happen.

I'm not upset this is where the plot went. But. I feel like it wasn't set up nearly enough to feel as impactful as actually is, leaving readers confused and disappointed.

More stuff about Stellerlune bc I don’t know how to get over this (spoiler alert! Don’t read tags dude.)

• So just gonna say it, every redemption arc was literally flushed down the toilet, like I really thought Stina was gonna get a little better??? It got worse. Also Fitz. And I really thought Trix was gonna be on Sophie’s side after the whole, “The new crew I’m rolling with got my girlfriend murdered and then left her there with no guilt at all” thing I was hoping he’d maybe leave…

• The entire crew just like ambushing Sophie about the fire?? If I was her I think I would hit someone.

• Linh. I have two problems with her in Stellerlune. First of all, what the heck happened with the whole attitude with Tam?? Like I’m okay with her being a bit more assertive, but constantly saying Rayni/Glimmer should be exiled after she lived through that!?! Um second of all Marellihn is not cannon yet so that’s upsetting.

• Fork man’s getting on my nerves.

• But obviously there was great things, SoKeefe is cannon so that is like the best thing (for me anyway)

• Shannon finally let Dex have page time

• Rayni

• Fintan and the flower power scene

• goodbye Vespera (I wish Biana could’ve killed her, also Gisela just like went from “oh my gosh I’m a big fan” to “ha rest in pieces loser” )

• and of course Amy and Ro were just the entire fandom

• I’m very proud of the way Fitz reacted to SoKeefe, like he was mad but he didn’t lash out or anything, I’d be mad if my ex that I just told I wanted to kiss told me three days later that she kissed my friend.

• Is Sophie okay? She didn’t almost die. The only time we even saw Elwin was like when he was at his house.

Just finished stellerlune and I’m betting book 10 is going to be called “Elysian” just you watch

I'm having to do a reading log in ELA, this is the plot of Stellarlune, right?

After years of pining, the "Great Foster Oblivion" is finally over and Sophie can confess to Keefe— if she can find him. When she, with the help of Tam and Dex (who is relevant at long last) finds him, she brings him back to Havenfield  and when they're  walking, Lady Foss-Boss works up the nerve to confess her love for Lord  Hunkyhair. When they arrive at their destination, the Mysterious Miss F  comments on how romantic it is and  starts a conversation about their feelings for each other and  it turns out that they're both madly in love with each other. They kiss and it's magical, for them and for us poor KeeFoster shippers who have had to wait thousands of pages for this historical and iconic moment. When they finish kissing, That Boy pulls out a heartbreakingly sweet and sad line "I don't want to mess this up, Please don't let me mess this up."

"Elwin and Ro were crouched beside them, in the middle of some sort of bizarre showdown. The ogre princess held several stuffed animals with her sword pressed against their throats, while Elwin seemed to be using telekinesis to make a dozen shimmering vials hover around Ro’s head.

“Hey, Dr. Sparkles could’ve spared his snuggle buddies if he’d taken me to find Funkyhair!” Ro shouted, angling her blade to target the stuffed boobrie. “Instead, he chose to be stubborn. So now his little birdie needs to pay!”

Okay so I just finished Stellerlune and first of all I think Shannon was afraid of a riot because that’s the most page time Dex has had since like book one, second of all Ro being there was fantaboulus, and third of all regarding Keefe OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH! IM DYING! AND THE KISS! OH MY GOOD LORD! FITZ TOOK IT SURPRISINGLY WELL! DID I ALREADY SAY OH MY GOSH? AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON TGE FRIKITY FRACKITY ELYSIAN BEING A HUMAN! THAT FRIKING PLOT TWIST TOOK ALMOST AS MUCH COURAGE TO WRITE “If it weren’t for the baby” LIKE REALLY SHANNON??!? But like she gave me Sokeefe so I can’t be as mad but stiLL!

Okay Hamilton fans and kotlc fans. Listen up. This will contain Stellerlune spoilers if you haven’t read that, and it would make more sense if you watched Hamilton.

So when we were watching the scene with the song It’s Quiet Uptown, I suddenly thought about……what if Sophie didn’t forgive him. Yet.

What if she didn’t forgive him for running away? I love chapter 42 so much. I even cried. It’s was so cute.

But you know what I would’ve loved more? A It’s Quiet Uptown kind of scene.

Like, maybe under Calla’s tree.

Keefe is alone under it, drawing, when Sophie comes, she sits next to him, and just like in Eliza in Hamilton, she doesn’t really talk, just sits there, and just like Alexander, he talks to her as they sit. Because he can’t lose her. He loves her to much. And after maybe a few hours of them just petting Alicorns……Sophie just sets her head on his shoulder.

No declaration of love (at least not right now) no big kiss (again, maybe later) she just whispers “I missed you idiot.”

And Keefe knows he’s forgiven, at least this is the first step to forgiveness.

Oh good, now I’m crying, *grabs tissue* okay okay, but It’s Quiet Uptown is the Sokeefe song. Like, if Shannon didn’t make Sophie forgive him right away when they find him in London.

I would be loved it so much more I would think
