State of the shop, April 9 2020. New @harveywoodworking tablesaw is in and working. Very quiet and powerful. Really think I’m going to enjoy this. Redesigned my personal working space and dialing in the rest of the shop. Thinking custom cabinets will need to be my first flatwork build. Having the man door replace hopefully Monday and will start insulating and closing up the wall on that side. Don’t know if I’ll be able to afford the minisplit this year or not but gotta keep moving forward. Tip of the hat to @alex.snodgrass for helping me dial in my bandsaw as well. How much do you love your table saw? Not my favorite workshop activity but maintenance has to be done time to time. I use @tigersharkabrasives to remove any spots from my saw, then wipe it off with a mineral spirit and add some wax paste for protection. I make sure that everything is flat, levelled and square and finally I remove all the sawdust. I've changed position of my table saw and outfeed table so I thought I'd make this state of the shop post. This diagonal setup allows me to cut bigger stock in my rather small shop. Apart from the necessary evil in form of white shelves in the making my shop looks pretty neat. I cleaned up and there's just one project on the workbench. State of the shop after few upgrades. I found filing drawers so I've made a cabinet for them for my table saw accessories. Posted video few days ago. Also, my saw hot a Woodworker II blade, which is absolutely awesome. There are also changes regarding the dust collection but you won't be able to see them really. Today is a sequel of tune up and maintenance in my shop. I'll be replacing blades on my planer and reorganizing storage.
