4: What’s your favorite line of dialogue?

This is a tough one since I’m such a dialogue person.  I’ll have to go with this one from Part Seven, though, since it’s not too spoiler-y.

“Any updates on our snakeyfriend?”

“Only that I drunk called himfrom Reggie’s.”

“Well, shit, that’s notideal.  Have you talked to him since?”

“Nope.”

“Damn, girl,” he laughed. “Everytime I think you can’t make it worse, you do—do you have any idea what you said to him?”

Thanks! I did and it’s great. I love everything about it. The raw emotion on his face when they’re sitting side by side and he’s watching her face. His gaze is very intense. At some point she takes his face in her hands; I can’t say exactly why I think she reaches out first. Maybe because she’s holding his face so much more firmly than he’s holding hers; makes me wonder if they’re having a very emotional/intense conversation, maybe she’s reassuring him. Also, whenever a man holds or kisses Teresa she always puts her hands on his shoulders or chest. That her hands are cupping Jame’s face just makes me think she reached out first. Then he also cups her face, but more gently. Their faces are very close together when he tilts his head and kisses her, less than an inch apart. His eyes aren’t open but hers are and there’s heat and longing on her face. Her eyelids are open but heavy and just before he kisses her she parts her lips. Perfect. 

The jolt of her body, tho. There’s a part of me that wonders if she pulls away. That maybe they were having a moment and James was overcome by his longing for her, saw it on her face too, reached out and for a few seconds she was feeling it so strongly too that she didn’t pull away. But that jolt of her shoulders could be her pulling back. (To be clear I think even if she does pull away initially it’s just a brief feeling of being overwhelmed and that they’re still getting together. Probably even in the same episode that kiss happens.)

Or maybe kissing James just has such an effect on her that her whole body reacts. I can certainly see why. That’s the kind of intense yet gentle, emotion-filled kiss people write about.

Apparently, there’s not one “darkly” in Pretty Lies, and there was only four “gently.”  Perhaps I’m finally getting better at not abusing adverbs.

Hello angel! I’m having a great day thanks, wishing you the same! Here are a few of my favourite Sweet Pea x reader fics, I’ll split them into multi-chapter and oneshots. I’m sure I’m missing so many wonderful fics and if I think of any I’ll add them, but these were the ones that first came to mind when I thought of my favourites. I hope you enjoy them, don’t forget to give the authors some love when you read them!

MULTI-CHAPTER/PART

Where’s my love by @starryeyedauthor is a real favourite of mine, it’s heartbreakingly beautiful and definitely a fandom favourite. It has five parts and so there’s definitely a lot of content to work through, although I selfishly wish it was longer!

Pretenses by @worriestothewind is a firm favourite, one of the best multi-chapter Sweet Pea fics on here by far. It has five phenomenal parts and is such an original piece of work, unlike anything I’ve ever read. I loved it!

I cannot forget the iconic A Lesson in Chemistry and the sequel An Equal and Opposite Reaction by @southsidewrites! These two multi-chapter fics centre around SP x reader with a bit of Reggie Mantle x reader sprinkled in. Both contain smut so if you’re sensitive to that please don’t read, but both a fandom favourites and personal favourites. 

The 100 Ways to say “I love you” series by @rivendell101 is and always will be one of my favourite series of Sweet Pea fics on this entire website. This is the series that made me fall in love with Alisha’s writing and I reblogged every single one and literally vomited in the tags about how much I loved them all. They are phenomenal.

ONESHOTS

Retribution by @fcgartys​ is a firm favourite, it made me feel all of the emotions and I’m so so excited for part two which Jemma is working on!! Beautifully written and a piece that I feel is so underrated for how good it is!

Peachy by @bubble-tea-bunny is also up there as one of my favourites. This oneshot is honestly beautiful, genuinely one of the most beautiful things I’ve read on this site, and I often go back and read it just because of how it makes me feel to experience it again and again. 10/10. 

Can’t Keep My Hands to Myself by @rivendell101 is 10/10, so sweet and so soft. Absolutely loved it and it made me feel all the things.

Hey, starryeyedauthor! Sorry for the late reply! I did see that promo, it was too skimpy for my tastes. I want actual footage, lol. “Bad things come in threes.” It’s so vague I couldn’t even take a real guess. Perhaps there will be three major defeats/setbacks in the new season? Or bad things come in three refers to Teresa, Pote, and James and all the damage they’re going to do to Camila? I hope it doesn’t mean horrible things are going to happen to Teresa, Pote, and James but this show does like to put Teresa through the ringer... Or maybe its meant in the typical superstitious way; it looks like each episode will be named for a tarot card, and both previous seasons - two more than one - dabbled in superstition and the supernatural. Admittedly, that’s my least favorite angle because I feel like the show has been pretty clumsy with those elements.
