StEx Appreciation Month Day 3: Greaseball
Today I've drawn @gb-diesellok ! (rather than a Greaseball design from the show)
GB is so cool ermmm he is awesome. The more bootlegs I watch, the more I like him. His entrance in Pumping Iron where he comes all the way down onto the stage and the coaches go wild and Electra is nottt happy about it... He just has so much swag.
His costume is one of my favourites in the show + it's barely changed over the years because it was perfect to begin with.
I'm pretty sure everyone likes Greaseball, and the people who say they don't like him are lying to themselves.

Day 2: Pearl & Opal!!!
Our beloved coaches!!! Opal and Pearl are half-sisters, and therefore their style is pretty similiar; they also have a white dress, but while Pearl is more pink, Opal has a gold/champagne/light yellow palette. Neverthless, both are SUPER SPARKLY and SUPER CLASSY!!!

Day 7: Buffy
I missed yesterday but here’s my gal Buffy. come get some cake and coffee y’all ;)
Favorite Actor: Nancy Wood, her voice makes me chuckle
Favorite Song/Scene: A Lotta Locomotion
Favorite Costume: I don’t really have one but I like the stripey arms on the Bochum version. Her costume in general is actually one of my favorites out of every one from the show.
Favorite Ship: Buffy and Ashley, of course
Headcanon: Besides Belle the Sleeper, she’s the oldest of the coaches and was built in the late 20s. But she’s just as playful and fun as when she first hit the rails.

StEx Appreciation Month Day Seventeen and Eighteen: The Cabeese (Pre/Post 2018)!
Does anyone remember draw your squad memes? Anyway, I'm cramming all three of these guys below the cut.
OLC! Caboose
Love this funky guy!
Favorite Songs/Moments: C.B. is hands down the funkiest song on the OLC! Album and Michael Staniforth was absolutely incredible!! I also love his verses in Freight, especially the way he says 'Hello!' He sounds like such a goober!
Favorite Costume: I think there's just the one, but I love it! You go Mr. Baseball-Playing-Trucker-Man!
Favorite Ships: I don't actively ship him with anyone but I don't mind OLC! Electraboose
Unpopular opinions: I don't think I have any
CB the Red Caboose
He's just a silly fun-time boy!
Favorite Songs/Moments: Wide Smile, the handshake bit with Electra during Wide Smile, taunting Rusty. There's one boot where he kicks Rusty in the face after crashing him and I don't know why but it's actually so funny (poor Rusty though!) Can we also get some appreciation for Todd Lester's splits! And Hans Johansson's dancing/acrobatics!
Favorite Costume: It's stayed pretty consistent, but why change it when it's already perfect!
Favorite Ships: I don't ship him with anyone, I actually hc him as aromantic (though I am partial to Idiot Sandwich purely for shits and giggles)
Unpopular opinions: I don't like the version of Wide Smile with the pop culture references at the beginning, it just kinda breaks my immersion

Favorite Songs/Moments: Mein Spiel! I'm glad he gets his own time to shine during the MegaMix! Watching him sneak around and negotiate with GB and Elektra is so fun! He's also great during Pumping Iron

Favorite Actors: KOFFI MISSAH, David Michael Johnson, Leon Maurice-Jones
Favorite Songs/Scenes: Love seeing him groove during Wide Smile, esp when the handshake was there. Also Dinah's Disco, my boy was throwing a hissy fit
Favorite Costumes: His London costumes with the lightning bolts is elite but Bochum has also consistently had great costumes for him!!! Especially early bochum when his wig had the side swoop??? immaculate
Favorite Ship: Electraboose my beloved <3333 theyre insane <333 they turn my brain to goo <3333
Headcanon: Electra acts really cold and bitchy because he's allergic to being genuine and expressing how he feels. deep deep down he is a huge softie but Dont tell anyone or he'll destroy you

StEx Appreciation Month Day 1: Rusty
Rusty deserves to be happy. He gets mocked, rejected, beaten up, double-crossed, yet he still keeps going.
Some actors portray him as hopeless and naive, even delusional. Others portray him as determined and full of potential... And then there's the original production where he wasn't taking anyone's crap.
Crazy is a catchy tune but Call Me Rusty completely mogs it. I prefer the context of his introduction being an angry response to the mockery he's receiving rather than "Hello wamen, pls consider".
Rusty and Pearl are cute together on an aesthetic level. Aside from that I don't ship him with anyone.
I have a soft spot for Ray Shell in the OLC recording... Greg Mowry in the Broadway boot is really good too 🚂

Headcanon: Poppa's days as a champion came to an end when Greaseball's father, Big Macho from Union Pacific, beat him in the famous 1972 Championship.
Unpopular Opinion: The only bad thing about him is the steam supremacy he preach. I hope that someday this views will turn into generic railway supremacy.

Favorite Costume: I like the dress because of the twirling of the skirt!

Oh how I love them <3 Non binary, bisexual, so cool in the 80's! So forward-thinking!
A diva, a mean bad bitch <3 The most beautiful creature in the universe! AC/DC was the first song I heard and I swear it was a surreal experience listening to it at 1 am in my bed in the dark. It was and still is my favourite StEx-song!
They mean so much to me...I love how they're so femme but everyone refers to them with he/him, personally that's so cool. Non binary is a spectrum and he can use he/him but still be the most barbie of girls!! I love writing them and I love drawing them,,,,I've soon been a fan of Stex for 3 years and my art has improved so much only by drawing a horse-train sbdghsghdgd
And yes, for those of you who dont know, I call them horses because they are long, nervous, bitchy, fast and dramatic. Just like a race horse, I don't make the rules
