Love the idea of each previous hero's journey being mostly lost to time, such that each time the cycle starts again absolutely no one picks up the very obvious clues that might lead them to the hero.

this morning i had a dream where these two nondescript humans were trying to get it on with each other but every time they tried they would get swarmed by a bunch of Smallfry and they’d have to try to swat them off and run away and the way they were like “NOT AGAIN” suggested that this was a common occurrence

Ok I wanna get my squidcraft thoughts out before the phase passes
In discord servers, we're all communally crying over how nice the Spanish community has been to our guys during this event, and I've said a few times now that,, wow, our bar is so low. We've fought in the trenches for so long, it's like I forgot that some people don't have to treat it like a war at all. Well, hopefully we get some fun collabs out of this :)
Not even the cc's but the fans as well! It's so nice seeing translated posts from them reacting as positively to our guys as we've reacted to theirs. And because of that, I don't think I've ever looked across the language barrier and felt a desire to interact with them as much as I do now. I took Spanish classes as a kid and remember nothing but some numbers and colors; I live pretty close to the Mexican border, Spanish is common here, and I have never cared to learn any more of it, until now. (I have Sueño and hermano down, off to a good start) And that's the whole point of events like this, right? To bridge that gap and bring people together~

twitter kdrama stans would rather take a recycled romance drama over a well-written, well-executed, fascinating genre piece, and it never fails to annoy the fuck out of me. they would rather have a boring y/n fantasy than allow an actor to expand their career and do something fundamentally more interesting than just kissing their co-star in three slow-mo scenes. they behave like it's a failure if actors don't choose romcoms/romance dramas, and i wonder when this obsession will end, and we can finally make room for more interesting career trajectories.

Another strange thing happened today. I'm not sure if I, uh, imagined it?
So like... I have villagers around now, is the thing, maybe I should start with that. You know how villagers are. I rescued them from the vault, and at first, besides the fact they let me carry them, I thought, uh. Well. Villagers, right? Probably - but they aren't... right. I don't know. I'll uh... get back to you all on that. There's just something...
Anyway, that means I have iron production, and food, and also enchantments, which is good, because I wasn't entirely certain I could get an enchanting table out, uh. Easily. They aren't uncommon, I guess? Like, uh, they're around gilded chests a lot. In fact they're a good way to spot... anyway, the enchantments mean that I have stuff that doesn't break as easily, which is good, because...
So like... uh, after. I didn't meant to attach - you know, last time. I'm feeling better since last time. My island is noisier now. More crowded. You know, what with the village. But - I mean, I didn't - I know I can attach images now, though, so I can... I have a bunch of strange gear. It is far stronger than any armor I have ever worn, and the shield is strange and slows down my enemies. It makes me feel safer in vaults, though.
I'm dying a lot less. That's not the strange - okay. I said I'd explain the strange thing, right?
I saw a cat.
I mean, uh. I guess that's not that weird, right? Especially since I panicked, went to go try to figure out how to get fish in the middle of the void, and by the time I got back, it was gone. But uh... I mean... I don't know, man. I keep on thinking about the cat. I keep on thinking maybe, if a cat showed up, uh, something... something else might? Not just a cat. But even just another cat.
I, uh - I mean, cats don't always, uh... they sense something off about me. I guess, haha, the way I sense something off about... but cats don't always like me, but that doesn't mean -
If I see a cat again I'm naming it Boots, I think. I might not see a cat again. I don't know. It left.
But honestly, between the coconut - uh, that'll make more sense with the picture, I don't - I mean it makes sense to call it a coconut but - you know. Between the coconut and seeing a cat for a moment, I feel more at-ease. More like I know what I'm doing. And it's odd, right? Because I lost the cat. I didn't get to keep it.
I saw it though.
And I mean, uh. Outside of villagers, falling squid, and the box of glow squid I made, most of the things I've seen for a while have been trying to kill me?
Not the cat though.
...you know, there are four types of altars in the vaults. I wonder which one I should thank for the cat, or which one I can ask to try to get me another one. It was cute, you know! I uh... I wouldn't mind...
Well. A question for later, maybe.

#vh logs#sona stuff#the cat incident is totally real i ENTIRELY FORGOT all my villagers would count as a village and might start spawning cats#and i did 100% accidentally despawn it by panicking and going all the way down to my bottom-of-the-world squid box to fish#however. i will keep an eye out. 2ND-5 /will/ be getting a cat if i have anything to say about it#also i think my vault armor somehow makes them cuter?#i think it's that the chestplate is too big LOL#anyway i've been getting real lucky with the vault gear honestly. i even have an axe that might outclass my sword#i just like swords better and right now the sword has holy damage so it's slightly superior#it's incredible how much safer having a few good skills and ACTUAL VAULT GEAR makes me feel#next stop: trying to scrape together enough beni and knowledge to start getting mods#it feels surprisingly obtainable...#vh talk

Vash: he is... so very shark coded to me. everyone looks at him and sees a dangerous killing machine. frequently covered in scars. do u see the connection here. he is specifically a thresher shark to me because of the whole sharpshooter thing and also the sad sad puppydog eyes 💙
Wolfwood: i am torn between two different types of eels for him. giant morays are more aesthetically pleasing but personally i have to go with a wolf eel both for the name and because ive worked with these guys before and theyre sooooo cool so im biased
