“If you two are going to fight, can you do it quieter?” Henry handed Emma the water bottle and pulled his glucometer out of his nightstand drawer.
Emma tried not to look aggravated as Henry tested his sugar. It wasn’t her fault Regina had a stick up her ass the size of Maine.
Sometimes Emma wanted to scream that she’d had type 1 diabetes almost twice as long as Henry had been alive. Regina didn’t need to patronize her with the new, expensive technology Emma’s tenuously-held insurance wouldn’t pay for or the most up-to-date care options that Emma would probably know about if she saw the same endocrinologist more than once.

Y'all I'm thinking about applying to sq protostar challenge but I want to make like the stupidest/most absurd/random art for that. Like incorrect quotes style or idk "gold is making deals but asks to pay with toilet paper and pasta bc of the virus" level of stupidity. "Emma, this morning you thought a ghost made you a toast". Crazy crossovers, Aus, memes redoing, whatever.
I don't care if nobody choose that as a prompt it's enough that I'd laugh my ass off just submitting it. So if you have any prompts like that feel free to send them, better as ask or direct message so it can be a surprise ( I won't post it if u choose to draw it). No guarantees that I will do it but we can have fun just imagining stupid situations :) Also i still don't know if I'm participating and it can be posted until like September reveals but I can show it privately if I do it :)

Trying to envision a fictional Pictionary game was fun, yet challenging so I had to create fake cards to amuse myself. I thought this might look like a Pictionary card Zelena might create to irritate her sister Regina Mills.

With the Evil Queen’s curse finally broken, Storybrooke is quiet. Emma Swan is excited to know her family and smooth the waters with her son Henry’s infuriating, attractive adopted mother. She should have known better.
When a virulent flu arrives, Henry gets sick. Other early victims fall into supernatural comas and fear grips the town. Many blame Regina for this plague, but Emma can’t believe she would risk Henry; the more she gets to know Mayor Mills, the less she can imagine her counterpart, the Evil Queen.
Eventually driven to hide as the townsfolk head to war, Regina dives into her vault to find a cure. Then Emma falls ill. Forced to work with Snow White, Regina must use stronger magic than she ever has before—without her Savior.

Here is our interview with happylikeafool; for their story “And Then Some”
What inspired your story?
Kind of a mix of things: When the Supernova announcement came out I’d just finished a fairly long, non-magic, AU, so I wanted to write something different - canon divergent instead of another complete AU. The Arkells song And Then Some had always given me Swan Queen vibes, and 3B in particular vibes, with lyrics like: Since you came back, I see things differently; when I’m gone, do you think about me?; and I adore you because you don’t care where I came from. So, I'd been contemplating writing some kind of 3B fic inspired by it for a while.
Also, not too long before this, I’d tried to start a fic set in 4B where, instead of a bunch of blank books in the Author’s mansion, each book was an individual person’s detailed life story, and Emma got trapped in hers and Regina had to go rescue her. I couldn't ever get into a groove writing that fic, so I stopped trying, but I was still interested in exploring some of the ideas I'd had for it - namely, Regina finding out some things about Emma's past and how that might affect their relationship. Oh, and I also didn't want to have to work that hard to deal with/get rid of the shrubbery, so I wanted to set it early enough in canon - 3B works nicely for that. So, I sort of rolled all those things together, and what came out was And Then Some.
Let's get deep: why do you write?
It's definitely just a hobby. I enjoy writing.
Do you ever have conversations with your characters, and talk back to them?
Nah, no conversations. Although, the stuff that comes out when I start writing sometimes surprises me. There are scenes that I've plotted out from the very inception of a fic, but there's also stuff that, when I sit down to write, sort of just happens in the moment.
What is your favorite type of writing to do?
Fanfiction for sure. I prefer to write hurt/comfort type stuff. Also fluff. I just want Regina and Emma to get to be happy. The only other thing I write with any regularity are reports for work - and, unsurprisingly, those are a heck of a lot less fun to write (and to read, I'd imagine).
If you could live out one scene of your writing what would it be?
I don't think that I would like to live out anything I've written, as in me in the place of the characters, but it would be really cool to get to see something I've written live action. If I had to pick one scene from this specific fic, I'd probably go with the non-date date, or maybe either of the scenes at the playground with the swings.
How do you shape your characters?
Ummm...I actually don't really know. I guess they are already pretty fully formed, which is nice. I do try and pick out traits that are uniquely a character's and run with those.
