Spuffy fic rec: Immortal by Sigyn
This is a post series crossover fic with Torchwood. I’ve never seen Torchwood but tumblr gifs gave me enough context and the author does a great job of melding the worlds so you don’t need the backstory to follow.
The writing is EXCELLENT and the plot is incredibly clever. If you ever wanted a better explanation for why Spike comes back to life after closing the Hellmouth…this is it. Great characterizations, dialogue, and story. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

Okay, I'm pretty much at the halfway point of the BtVS The Mummy 1999 fic, a whopping 30k words and a lot of bad jokes later 😅. It's probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever written. Anyway, does anyone have any preference for which BtVS (or AtS) character should play Captain Winston? I have a couple ideas, but nothing I'm set on and wanted to see who others think might be a good fit!

“Buffy…” Tara started nervously, like the words she had to say would break Buffy if they were said out loud. “When’s the last time you had sex?”
She squeaked, blushing like crazy. “Three nights ago. With a stranger! A total stranger who was totally… strange.”
Willow played with the fabric of her skirt. “Well… you’re pregnant.”
And suddenly Buffy’s world fell apart.
Pregnant.
The one thing she couldn’t be, given her life as the Slayer. Raising Dawn was hard enough.
And… and Spike couldn’t even… what…?
She swallowed and felt like she might throw up again for completely different reasons than before. “How?”
