they work with cyrus at his back alley weapons/tech repair shop- he helped them get back on their feet so they feel a great loyalty to him <3 they play in turf and ranked a lot and say theyre trying to 'advertise for the shop' but bc they play dirty and are obnoxiously ruthless everyones too scared to go in there HA

Man I haven't posted art online in ages. Kinda nervous. This is gonna be a general blog but I'm on a Splatoon kick at the moment. Decided to personify the weapons. Dunno if I'll get them all finished, but I got all the shooters ready for posting.
Starting off with the Splattershot Family!
Trivia Time!
From oldest to youngest: Junior, Shot, Pro, Nova. There's a considerable age gap between Nova and the others.
Junior is the oldest sibling, despite his looks. He's good with kids and helps them learn the ins and outs of turfing. Very respectable and kind guy that knows everybody. His siblings refuse to accompany him to Sheldon's because those two will talk for hours.
Shot (or Splatter) is a professional turfer and super famous. She's part of all kinds of advertisements. There's a scar on her forehead that she hides, which confuses her brothers because she's normally a very confident and outgoing inkling.
Some turflings says she has a secret identity, but that's just a rumour... right?
Pro is the orderly sibling who suffers from an inferiority complex. He's a skilled turfer but someone always outshines him. It's been really hard for him, but once Nova got older he found new confidence by getting to be the older bro. Very protective of her.
Nova is a shy inkling with terrible eyesight. Has an uncanny ability to locate people. She's conscious about her thick glasses so Shot got a custom pair ordered from the o'Matics. It's made to look kinda alien and space-like, which Nova loves!

Variants: Forge Splattershot Pro
A version of the basic Splattershot that has higher damage and range but a lower fire rate. Combine this with the kit of Angle Shooter and Crab Tank this weapon demands you charge into the frontline and be aggressive as you can, while splatting as much as you can.
The Splattershot Pro gets a 7/10 for the good Special and power and range, but I had to knock down the score due to the fire rate and Sub.

i feel like i remember people saying aerospray in splat2 was a sucky weapon only newbies used and now all of a sudden everyone wants to use it bc rg now has booyah bomb even tho the splat2 pg (bronze aerospray) was right THERE???
like, y'all weren't like this with aerospray pg in 2 and it literally was just the same thing but with burst bombs. the math isn't mathing.

thoughts on the demo/Splatoon 3 now that Im back to normal (mostly)
crab tank my absolute beloved, fun to use and just A Friend, literally the best combo of baller, explosher, and dualies
splatana is wonderfully light and mobile, feels great to use, I will probably use it quite a bit if I can get the hang of it
reef slider is so absurdly strong. mows opponents over like you have a roller. big hit box. really fast and you can detonate at any time. all the while you are ALSO completely invincible. amazing. I wont be surprised if it gets nerfed at some point
I think ultra stamp got nerfed??? every time I used it opponents slipped by somehow, when in splatoon 2 the hit box is big enough to smack down everyone within like a foot of the stamp. I dont think I'll use it next game anyways but we'll see
thank you Splatoon devs for giving us the "wipeout" pop up when the other team gets wiped out. I get to booyah evilly with my teammates whenever that happens
Im seeing some folks say that tricolour battles are unbalanced or difficult but honestly they were super fun (and they are quite balanced, more than I expected tbh, it works out to be 4v4) and it just requires thinking about it more strategically than your average turf war battle. if you don't enjoy objective-based modes like this then it's just not going to be your thing and that's fine. small edit: seems like it was really rough for a lot of reasons to be on the defending team and as such I can understand frustration with this Splatfest mode, hopefully they can update it for future ones
