Just re-learned that the best name for my beloved genre of games that I suck at ie high octane, combo-based action games that include Metal Gear Rising, Bayonetta, Hi-Fi Rush, DMC 5 etc. is truly “Spectacle Fighter(s)”! Heard it a while ago but it didn’t stick until recently getting reminded of it.
I used to use the phrase “Character Action” which despite still getting used always felt too broad & not at all as evocative as “Spectacle Fighters” which gets to the core of why those games have appeal. Not only are they a close relative to the straight up fighting game genre with heavy emphasis on precision combos, move cancelling, hitboxes & the like but they become elegant ballets of stylish combat that’s as fun to pull off as it is to watch especially in the hands of an expert. The “Combo MAD” tag of Youtube videos is overflowing vids for that very reason.
Been scouring the Steam category for “Spectacle Fighters” & I’m enjoying the fact small & indie outfits are & have been working to build up the genre beyond just the mainstream AAA company titles out there

do you like the concept of mmos but you don't like their combat? are guild wars 2, tera, and even black desert online not action gamey enough for you? do you like dmc, bayonetta, and/or kingdom hearts? if you answered yes to any of these questions, then play pso2. it is a free to play mmo with really good combat. like, character action level combat. it comes with both new genesis and classic. classic is a completed mmo and has higher maximum combat speed (luster my beloved) but lower minimum combat speed. it a hub based mmo. new genesis has new graphics and is on a newer engine, is open world, has better balancing between classes, but has much less content and you still kind of have to do your own stuff in it (soloing raid or world bosses, literally just straight up halo forge for player housing, exploring, that kind of thing), but it is getting more combat.
(note for classic, do not touch your mag or your skill tree until you know what you want, go to the phantasy star fleet discord for class guides that will tell you what to do. these need real money to fix if you fuck up. for ngs, you can not fuck up mags and you can reset your skill tree for free, so don't worry there)

The Bayonetta: First Climax demo on Xbox 360 has a unique ranked version of the clocktower without Jeanne, and it has this funny but annoying glitch I ran into a few times lmao

DMC 5 - Why Vergil Feels Great to Play
I’m a huge fan of character action fighters like DMC, Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising, etc. And of those, DCM is my favorite.
Mainly because of Vergil. I like playing all the characters, but Vergil is by far my favorite. And not just because he’s way overpowered and its fun to body on a bunch of enemies. That’s part of it, but if that was all I wanted I could play Dante or V too.
No, what I think sets Vergil apart is how deliberate his moveset feels.
There is a tendency amoung game designers (Bayonetta was really bad about this) to think that all that really matters for making a good character in a spectacle fighter is to give them a lot of moves that look really cool. And that is important, but at least for me it is just important that each move serves a distinct tactical purposes. Ideally, the moveset of a character should act like a gun in Doom, where each move has its own distinct time and place and a good player is able to demonstrate mastery of the system by knowing when to use each move.
And Vergil has that. Just looking at his air combat for instance, Yamato has two combos which can be used in the air to hurt juggled enemies (and which can be combo’d indefinitely) both with diagonal... whatever the opposite of a launcher is. Let’s call it a grounder. Meanwhile, mirage edge has a powerful grounder and the air-stinger which launches enemies forward. Both of these can be used to reposition vertically and horizontally. It lacks in-built combos however and is so best used to end your own midair combos. Lastly, the Beowulf has lunar phase, a powerful single attack which knocks enemies to the ground but which can be canceled to let it keep being used in a combo, and starfall a Kamen Rider kick which can be used to reposition Vergil or chase groundbound/grounded enemies. It follows the same arc as the grounders for Yamato, making it a good follow up to combo enders with that weapon.
And almost every one of Vergil’s moves is like that. They all have some particular usecase, some area where they excell. Maybe their a variant launcher, or used to reposition or a shieldbreaker or good at dealing with groups or good at single targets or whatever. Point is they all have a specific use, and that makes Vergil really fun to play because you are constantly changing what you are doing to react to the situation on the ground.

Drive Me Crazy - Chapter 7.
Pairing Travis Kelce x Reader
Words 2041
Warnings Mentions of fainting/panic attack, this one has a little bit of an angsty theme to it, but there's still a bit of fluff at the end.
Huge thank you to the Anon who sent this in! They had such amazing words to say about my writing which I massively appreciate and then to top it off, had an incredible request for me! I only have experience with mechanics in the UK, so I’ve tried my best with this one! “I just recently got interested in Travis K. X reader stories and wanted to let you know, I read all of yours as quickly as I could. They are so well done and I couldn’t help but laugh/giggle and feel through each word you typed out. You’re doing amazing and I’m so glad to have stumbled onto your page. If you have any space for a request, I’d be curious about what Trav would think about having a military (like fighter pilot) or engineer or mechanic girlfriend. I see a lot of stories with him paired with models/singers/social media individuals (which are phenomenal!) but just wondering how he would be with a more tomboy like girlfriend!”

CHAPTER 6
CHAPTER 7
"Wooooooh!" Your Dad bellowed as he raised his clenched fists into the air.
You glanced around the viewing box as a couple of other people were watching and smiling at him, "I'm sorry, he's really excited." You nodded.
"This is so awesome!" He beamed back at you, "I can't believe I'm here!"
You grinned and leaned in closer to him, straining your voice over the music, "Well, believe it, it's happening!"
Gripping your plastic tumbler of beer, your wide eyes scanned the stadium as thousands of fan poured into the stadium, filling their seats. There was a sea of red and white clad supporters below you, all anxiously waiting for the game to start. As you took a quick sip of your drink, a loud and low voice boomed in your ears.
"Ladies and gentlemen! Your Kansas City Chiefs!"
The stadium roared as several dozen pumped up men spilled out onto the field, running and jumping in the air to hype up the crowd. Your gaze danced around them until it finally settled onto Travis, who was jogging out close to Patrick, speaking in his ear. They stopped and Travis lifted his knee to begin warming up, his eyes checking the stands. When he finally looked in your direction, your stomach gave a flutter and he waved gently towards you.
Your Dad nudged you playfully with his elbow and you felt your cheeks flush bright red. The excitement built up in your stomach as the floor rumbled with noise, the atmosphere thick with anticipation. The Las Vegas Raiders were the Chiefs' biggest rivals, and with 71 wins against them behind their belts, the Chiefs were preparing for a another one to add to the list.
As the game began, you noticed that your eyes always seemed to drift to Travis. You were watching the game, but there was something about him that drew you in. He was showman, giving the crowd what they wanted and every play was a spectacle. Your Dad was fully immersed, shouting and cheering at every necessary opportunity and it warmed your heart to see him so happy. His kind eyes sparkled like a child at Christmas and by the time half time had rolled around, he had already made a friend in a gentleman next to him.
"Hey, Pop." You leaned closer to him and placed your hand on his shoulder, "I'm heading for another beer, do you want one?"
"Yes please, Sport." He reached into his jeans pocket, "And get one for my friend here."
You smiled and nodded, ducking out of the viewing box, grabbing your bag on the way out. As you paced through the corridors, the roaring sounds of the stadium surrounding you, you pulled your phone from your pocket to check Instagram. You scrolled a few times before your heart stopped as your eyes settled on a post. It was a photograph, although blurry, showing Travis leaning across a small table in a booth to kiss you. You swiped across where there was another picture of the two of you leaving the bar, your hand clasped in his and his gaze fixed on you. You hesitated for a second before tapping on the comments.
"He's dating her???? He can do better."
"I swear she serviced my car last week, not exactly girlfriend material."
"Travis should be dating someone waaay hotter than her."
"She's giving tomboy...and not in a good way."
Moisture quickly flooded your eyes and blurred your vision. You threw your phone back into your purse as you blinked hard, tears rolling down your cheeks. The crowd noises suddenly became muffled and you felt your chest become heavy, your breathing quickening it's pace.
"Are you okay?" A concerned voice said to your right.
You lifted your head as you stumbled back towards the wall, your fingers feeling the cool painted brick.
"Ummm...yeah, thanks." Was all you could manage through your dizzying haze, a numbing sensation spreading from your chest to your face. Your hands pressed against the wall behind you and kept you upright as your mind whirred with the words you had just read.
"Are you sure? I could go and get someone if-"
You sniffed loudly and wiped away some of the moisture that had stained your cheeks with the sleeve of your sweater, "No, no. Honestly, I'm fine. Thank you, anyway."
The stranger kept his gaze on you for a little longer, concern strewn across his face before disappearing around the corner of the corridor. You took some deep breaths, rubbing the underneath of your eyes a few more times before rolling your shoulders back and heading towards the bar.
You knew that you probably weren't Travis' usual type and the sudden attention was something you had been apprehensive about. But Travis had sucked you into his life, something drew you to him without your knowledge and now you were fully in the deep end. The comments had not only hurt your feelings, but had confirmed something you were afraid of. Rejection.
"What can I get for you?"
"He can do better."
"I'll take three beers please."
"Not exactly girlfriend material."
"Sure, coming up."
"Not in a good way."
The words span around in your mind, your chest becoming heavy again with your laboured breathing. Your fingers fumbled with the opening of your purse, trying desperately to find your wallet but your skin tingled, the numbness returning.
As the three plastic cups of beer were placed on the bar top in front of you, you noticed that your vision was blurring and you were becoming unsteady. You inhaled deeply in an attempt to secure as much oxygen as you could before your legs gave way and you found yourself slumped on the floor, your elbow throbbing in pain from hitting it against the hard walled surface behind you. Two bartenders rushed to your side, their faces appearing in your foggy vision with expressions filled with concern.
"I'm fine...I'm fine." You mumbled, holding your hands out to try and lift yourself from the ground.
"I think we should get someone." A bright female voice stated confidently, "Aaron, go and get someone from medical."
"Honestly, I'm fine."
She placed her hand firmly on your shoulder, "You're not going anywhere, okay? We going to get you looked at."
As you rested your head against the wall behind you, your eyes floated closed and a warm feeling filled your body, blackness drifting in.
______________________________________________________________
"Really, I'm fine."
"That's all she keeps saying."
"Because I am!" You laughed, shaking your head and looking away.
"You hit your head."
"I hit my elbow."
The bartender had called for an Emergency Medical Technician to check you over, bringing you behind the bar and into the staff area as crowds were beginning to form in the bar during half time. Half time was over now though, and you could hear the game ramping up again.
The EMT continued to check your blood pressure, "Okay, okay. This will only take a few more minutes and we can see what's going on here. You see, people don't just collapse for no reason, Miss."
You rubbed your forehead, "I know. But I'm okay now, I just had a moment."
"Your blood pressure is quite high, this game must be really exciting."
You looked down at the floor, "Something like that."
"That could explain why you collapsed." The EMT furrowed his brow, his apprehensive gaze fully fixed on you, "Are you sure you're okay?"
You rolled your eyes slightly, "For the hundredth time, I'm fine."
The EMT glanced towards the female bartender and then back at you, "Okay. But I would suggest no more alcohol, and take it easy, alright?"
You quickly stood up from the chair, your mouth moving into a smile, "Two beers, please."
______________________________________________________________
The rest of the game was exactly how you imagined it to be. The Chiefs fan's were traditionally loud and the players themselves ate it up. It was truly entertaining and whilst you didn't follow along completely, seeing Travis happy with his win warmed your heart. You didn't tell your Dad about your incident at the bar, instead lying and saying that you were gone a while due to a line at the restroom.
As the stadium began to empty, your Dad said his goodbyes to his friend as you pulled your jacket on. You quickly checked your phone, knowing it would be too early to hear from Travis and instead took a quick photo of the stadium.
"Come on, Sport." Your Dad called as he threw an arm around your shoulder, "I've had the best time!"
You smiled up at him, "I'm so pleased you've enjoyed yourself."
"Are you kidding me? At Arrowhead with my best girl, watching a Chiefs game in Travis Kelce's viewing box? I can die a happy man now,"
You poked him in the stomach, "Hey now. You know I hate it when you say that!" You drew in closer to him, "What do you wanna do now?"
He frowned down at you, "Are you not going to see Travis? Surely, you'll be okay to go to the locker room as congratulate him? Plus, I'd love to meet him and say thank you for the tickets."
"I don't know." You twisted your face as you absently glanced at your cell phone again, "I don't really know if I'm allowed."
You both meandered down the corridor before you spilled out into the crowd, following the natural flow of people out towards the exits. There was a natural buzz amongst the fans due to another win during an already great season but suddenly, the sound of a gentle commotion distracted your attention.
"What's going on there?" Your Dad asked curiously.
Bodies began moving quickly and cell phones were held high up in the air as people started to swarm towards one particular point.
"Travis!" "Travis Kelce!" "Hey, Travis!"
Your eyes widened as Travis pushed himself through the crowd, reaching out for your hands, "Hey, are you okay?"
"Uhhh...yeah. I'm fine." You licked your lips to ease your sudden dry mouth.
"Are you sure?" His hands moved to your arms, giving them a gentle squeeze as his eyes darted across your face, searching for any indication of injury.
"Travis..."
"One of the medics told me you passed out?"
Your Dad edged his way closer to the pair of you, his eyebrows lowered, "Sorry, what was that?"
You sighed, displaying your clear exasperation, "I had a little moment at the bar during half time, I think I was just overwhelmed and I fell down, that's all."
"Why didn't you tell me?" Your Dad pursed his lips, disappointed that you had kept the truth from him.
"Because I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I'm fine."
"Are you okay?" Travis' hold on you was urgent, as if he didn't want to let you go.
"Travis. Like I said, I'm fine."
You were abruptly aware that a crowd of people had begun to gather, their attention fully on Travis. Looking across to him, you noticed that he was barely out of his kit, his pants and undershirt still on, his feet bearing socks instead of his cleats. His brow was glistening and his hands still had remnants of white tape covering them.
Travis detected your gaze, "I came out to find you as soon as I heard."
Your mouth moved into a soft smile, your heart skipping slightly, "That's really cute."
His eyes flickered down to your lips and you could swear you saw him go to lean in towards you before he realised that you had an audience. He straightened his shoulders and turned towards your Dad.
"It's really good to meet you, sir." Travis held his hand out, nodding his head.
Your Dad exhaled quickly in shock as his face flushed a deep crimson colour, "Oh, Mr Kelce. The pleasure is all mine." He took hold of Travis' hand and shook it enthusiastically.
You leaned towards Travis, moving your mouth slightly closer to his ear, "Dad's a big fan."
Travis turned his head, checking the crowds before pulling your Dad in for a hug, "How's about we all head to the locker room and meet some people, huh?"

Will I ever post new chapters within a decent time frame? Who knows? I was in a little bit of a writing slump but I feel like I've got out of the other side of it, and I think I know where this story is going to go! But as always, I will take all and any suggests for this one! I've had to adjust the way I do my Taglist as there's now so many of you all which is crazy!! If you want to be added, just let me know! This series will be going for a bit longer now that I've definitely figured out the story, so I reckon the next chapter will be posted in, like...July? Kidding, of course!

Baldur's Gate 3 Companion!Tav Ask List by @paarthursass
Please check their List here, it's literally a top tier list
(contains major spoilers for the game, and for some dark urge runs as well)
Had to redo this, but finally I'm satisfied with the result. Here's my drow Soulknife Rogue (please oh please adapt this subclass for the game) Arnafein Rilynghym.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
General
1.Where can your Tav be recruited?  Are they first encountered on the Nautiloid, or in the Nautiloid crash region?  Or are they not recruitable until a later act?
He can be recruited not too far away from the Blighted Village area, in the forest outcropping.
He’ll be there with a pair of poorly equipped young tieflings and a group of goblins, trying to cool things down between the two and convince the goblins to leave the tieflings only to him. The player/party members might catch on some details in his facial expression that would be giving away a lie, as well as his attempts to place himself between tieflings and goblins.
As the player’s group comes closer, the player (and other companions, which is important) and Arno are connected through their tadpoles, though much more painfully than in other cases (the narrator might even comment on that). Arno would recognize in you another survivor that escaped the nautiloid and through pain would telepathically ask you to play along. After that with more demand addressing the goblins as “another True Soul came to look for them, so would they finally let them do their fucking job?” The player might choose the Deception/Persuasion route to play along with Arno, to simply attack the goblins (in which case both tieflings and Arno would help out) or attack Arno and tieflings under the guise of him “being the survivor, that Absolute cultists are looking for” (in this case tieflings would die and Arno will be captured and interrogated by Minthara).
2.Do the other companions have special comments or reactions upon recruiting your Tav?
Gale – A friendly drow! That’s a rarity in this place, as far as I can tell. Let’s hope this won’t be a double-crossing situation though.
Shadowheart – Arno seems well versed in dealing of these cultists. I just hope he won’t stick his nose in other’s thoughts – we have more than enough mind-probing as it is.
Astarion – Well that was a spectacle. I hope our newest addition won’t stop to help any stray or poor thing in need.
Wyll – It takes a lot of inner strength to stand by those in need, especially under the weight of your own troubles. Arno would be a good addition to our group.
Karlach – Well Arno seems to know some shit around here. Now we don’t need to blindly walk around in search of the bad guys place.
Lae’zel – The elf’s knowledge of this place seems useful. Can’t say the same of his handling of tadpole’s effects. We ought to be careful.
3.Does your Tav have any comments or advice when you recruit other companions?
Gale – Having a wizard around should improve our chances of survival. Though I’m sure as hell won’t be asking him about any teleportation.
Shadowheart – It’s good to have a helping cleric’s hand with us. However, the choice of name does bring a bit of ominous feel to this acquaintance.
Astarion – The whole knife play was a bit too on the nose for be, but I can understand his reaction. Let’s hope his bloody tendencies will be the problem of our enemies, and not ours.
Wyll – The Blade of Frontiers… Well, the name does sound grand, though cannot say I heard of it before.
Karlach – Karlach’s spirit sure will brighten up our company. I just hope we won’t wake up to the actual hellfire.
Lae’zel – The gith looks like a tough fighter. But don’t expect me to go on errands for her.
4. What sort of general actions raise or lower their approval?
Raise:
Empathy and Compassion towards weaker or struggling.
Supporting freedom, autonomy and choices that align with his desire to break free from societal expectations.
Sharing a sarcastic sense of humor can lead to a bond with him, as he appreciates this attitude. Engaging in witty banter and humor is a plus.
Illegal activities aimed at helping others.
Lower:
Disregarding or belittling others' struggles or doubts, particularly in moments of their vulnerability, resonating with his own past of self-doubt and anxiety.
Yielding to controlling individuals or behaving subserviently in the face of authority.
Aggression towards the weak.
5. Are there any instances where your Tav can permanently leave the party, depending on player character actions?
The first instance is tied to letting Minthara join a party (murdering of tieflings would significantly lower Arno’s approval, but letting Minthara join the party would be the point of conflict, in which Arno will go a separate path).
The second instance would be tied to possible betrayal, around end of Act 2 – a group of drow agents, which would represent the house Rilynghym (Arno’s family), will ambush the party. They are tasked with bringing Arno back home, as well as extracting Githyanki prism.
Depending on the level of approval, the player can persuade Arno to go about this peacefully (understand that there was more at stake and they needed the Gith’s prism), persuade Arno to attack the spies or Arno will turn his back on the group altogether.
6. Do they have any secrets that can be revealed?  What are the prerequisites for this secret coming to light?
The Player would find out in Camp that Arno has partial amnesia, and remembers some parts of his childhood and his family, but not the last 3 months since he left home. As the adventure progresses, he’ll start to remember more and more, as well as start having a repeating blurry dream of his mother calling out to him, but he would understand any of her words.
As the game progresses, he would remember that his house (a drow house Rilynghym, that settled on the surface, in Neverwinter), that specializes in espionage and infiltration, sent their agents to infiltrate the cult of the Absolut and acquired information about some sort of artefact.  The spies disappeared in Baldur's Gate, and as Nathiira received the news, Arno (who wanted to finally prove to his mother that he is worthy of her trust and can help the house on an equal footing with everyone else) suggested that he could investigate the matter. This provoked the conflict between mother and son, which ended in Arno being put in a cell. He escaped the imprisonment and ventured to Baldur’s Gate on his own.
In Baldur's Gate, Arno found out that the spies were supposed to steal a specific artefact for their house, but they were discovered by the cultists and taken as prisoners. All but one.
The spy, named Tsabran, a loyal servant of Matron Nathiira, managed to avoid the cultists and got in touch with Arno, telling him everything that happened. He explained that the spies, were trying to steal an artefact of incredible power created by the cultists. However, their hideout was discovered, and the cultists caught all the spies except Tsabran.
The artefact was supposed to have a power of a mini-version Elderbrain, allowing its wielder to enhance telepathic influence on intelligent creatures, and even subdue large groups of creatures to their will. It had to work in the hands of those who have psionic abilities, enhancing them tenfold. (Note: the artefact can unlock the ending, where instead of someone becoming an illithid, Arno will use the artefact and his own psychic skills to suppress Elderbrain) Together, Tsabran and Arno devised a plan to steal the artefact and bring it back to Matron Nathiira. They managed to get to the room with the artefact through secret tunnels. However, before Arno could check the artefact for traps, Tsabran lifted it off the pedestal and thus activated the alarm. The two had to flee, but Arno was wounded during the escape. He hoped for help from Tsabran, but the latter left him behind, running away with the artefact. That's how the cultists captured Arno.
7. Do they have their own personal quest that spans the course of the game?  Can it take different branching paths depending on the choices the Player Character makes?
Arno’s personal quest would be focused on him slowly regaining his memories of past months, and in the process fighting the memories of emotional abuse and neglect from his mother, that led to his anxiety and feeling of never being enough. As he would regain memories he would have more and more doubts, if chasing after mother’s approval is really what he wants from life, especially if it goes against his moral code.
Player can help him find confidence in himself, support his attempts to make his own decisions in spite of what was drilled into his head for decades (and became part of his sub-conscious behavior; for example him having a sweet tooth but denying himself any sweet food due to previous prohibitions from his mother)
Alternatively, Player can insist on the notion, that Arno’s mother was right, that he wasn’t ready for any sort of adventure like this, and specifically his lack of skills, patience and knowledge were the reason of his troubles. That Arno’s mother only tried to protect him and their house, to give them a better life.
Toward the end of Act 2, MC with Arno is ambushed by members of House Rilynghym, who were sent by Nathiira to bring Arno home, as well as retrieve Gith's prism with him (when asked, the spies would answer that Nathiira found out about the prism and its influence through telepathic connection with Arno).
At that moment, Arno will remember the captured spies in Baldur's Gate and tell the newcomers that the situation has become much more important and dangerous than possessing some artefacts and gaining more power for their house.
Depending on the Player's actions and the level of approval with Arno, the situation will go in different directions:
Arno confidently tells the spies to go back home, because the existence of the cult threatens their house as well.
Arno and the Player fight the spies to keep the prism. Arno does not approve of this, but is persuaded by the Player to fight on their side.
Arno joins the spies, having more faith in his mother's judgment. He and the spies will die in the battle.
In 3rd act, as the group reaches the Baldur's Gate, during one of the nights, Arno’s mother will get in touch with him via telepathic projection – all of the companions infected with the tadpole will see and hear her as well, as part of their shared connection. She will say that she is very disappointed that he did not return with the spies when he had the opportunity.
Tumblr media
Nathiira says “I've been very patient, considering your completely stupid and irresponsible behavior. Go back home, now.” Аrno exhaled, nervously gesturing towards his mother “Can't you listen to me for once? I'm trying to explain, that what's happening in Baldur's Gate is a threat to the entire region. And our family, too.” There is a tense pause. As Nathiira looks at him with her familiar calculating look, Arno looks down, slightly lowering his head as well “Just, listen. I can't just leave, not with this... thing in my head. So I can look for Tsabran and the artifact. Show you that I can do this.” Nathiira is silent for a few moments, closely looking at her son before finally exhaling: “You won't just drop this, would you? Fine. This is your task now. The last time Tsabran sent us a message, he mentioned that he was hiding somewhere deep and wet.” Arno breathes a sigh of relief and Nathiira speaks again: “Arnafein” there is a long pause, where she considers what to say before finally settling on her choice “Don't let me down.”
The group will go in search of Tsabran in the underground part of the city.
When the group finds Tsabran, it turns out that the artifact has begun to negatively affect his mind, making him more neurotic, full of paranoia and hallucinations. Because he was not a psionist himself, the artifact could not find enough power in his mind and his brain literally began to melt from it.
At that moment, Tsabran was obsessed only with the idea that he was the one who had to deliver the artifact to Matrona and receive her recognition and gratitude. The group had fight to get the artifact. In battle with Tsabran, he’ll have control over some civilians and creatures from sewers, all while screaming about how he will prove the Matron his loyalty and usefulness. Arno will recognize some of the civilians from the 1st day they entered Baldur’s Gate.
As Arno defeats Tsabran and takes the artifact, the telepathic projection of Nathiira appears, noting that she felt the artifact’s power through their connection.
The projection of Nathiira comes closer, with fascination looking at the artifact “Incredible isn’t it? Imagine how much influence we might gain with this in our hands. No-one will ever dare to even think of harming our house ever again.” Arno shakes his head “Mother this artifact won’t bring us any good. It breaks people, strips them of their will, it’s not-” Nathiira interrupts him “It’s exactly what we need to survive, Arnafein. This will finally give us the protection we needed. Any politician, any noble, any rival of ours now can be brought under our control. They won’t be harmed, they just won’t think about harming us” Arno exclaims “It will harm them, mother, this is exactly what taking away freedom of their mind is!” Nathiira huffs and waving him away with a hand “Oh, don’t be such a child, they will be fine! It’s better than getting rid of them all-together.” After a moment, she adds, more steel in her voice “You wanted to prove yourself to me. This is your chance. Do as I say - bring us the artifact.”
Depending on Players choice, Arnafein either will agree to bring the artefact home or will say that he’ll give the artifact to the Harpers for protection.
Choice “Arnafein agreed to bring the artefact home”
Arno closed his eyes, battling with his own doubts in his head. But moments later his shoulder sagged down, and he bows his head and finally said “As you say, Matron.” Nathiira looks pleased, relaxed. “Good. I’m glad you saw reason. Now, our agents should be nearby...” Arnafein raises his head slightly, looking at his mother with confusion “What? I... I thought you sent only me.” Nathiira patiently sighs “They were here just in case, to assure that the mission was successful. Don’t think too much about it - it was still all you. And our people will know it as such.” After a pause she continues “Now, I won’t take anymore of your time, the faster the artifact will be brought here, the better. Go.” With a slight pause, Arnafein bows, and Nathiira calls for him one last time. “And Arnafein. I’m proud of you, son.” As the group exits the chamber where they battled Tsabran, the spies meet them right at the exit. One of the agents steps forward “Sir, we’ve just received the message from Matron - we’re at your service. If you’ll need our assistance in upcoming battle, you can count on us ” Arno absentmindedly nods “Good. Make sure that the artifact is delivered as fast as possible to Neverwinter” and he gives the artifact to the agents before adding with more presence “As for everything else - I will call if you are needed.”
Choice “Arnafein refused to bring the artefact back home”
Arno closed his eyes, frowning, battling with his own doubts in his head. But moments later he takes a deep breath and looks up at his mother. “I’m sorry, I won’t do this. This is not our way. I will give the artifact to Harpers and they’ll make sure no-one gets harmed anymore because of it” Nathiira looks at him for a long moment, her jaws clenched, her eyes hard and cold. “Just as I thought. You would pass on a golden opportunity to put our house out danger forever, just so you can play a hero.” She steps forward, her telepathic projection getting right in the face of Arno, before she sneers. “You are not a hero. You’re just an arrogant, naive child, who thinks he knows better than everyone else.” She continues looking at him, as Arno meets her stare with his own sudden resolution. Nathiira spits out “Well you don’t.” She takes a step back, turning away from Arnafein and adding, “We'll have a long talk about it when you get home” Arnafein let’s a moment pass, before, with deep sadness saying “No. I don’t think we will” As Nathiira stops and turns back to him, Arno raises his hand and her eyes widen in understanding and shock. Arno sliced the air with his hand and permanently severed their family telepathic connection. As the group exits the chamber where they battled Tsabran, the spies meet them right at the exit. Arno, not expecting to see them, will take a step back before asking “What- What are you doing here?” One of the agents steps forward, slightly bowing his head. “Sir. The Matron ordered us to keep an eye on you and intervene in case of imminent danger to your life” Arno dumbly looks at him, repeating his words “Keep an eye? Aha. Hahaha” He bitterly laughs, rubbing his hand over his face “she didn’t even... Of course she didn’t.” As Arno says with utter betrayal and disappointment he once again turns to bewildered agent, and says “Well, as you see I’m fine and dandy, so you can return home and report as such” The agents exchange glances, before with a doubt in a voice one of them says “Sir, we were also told to retrieve the artifact” Player can choose what to do - “Let Arno handle this” - (Deception) The artifact was destroyed by Tsabran in the battle. - (Intimidation) The artifact stays with us, want it or not. In case of failure or letting Arno handle this, Arno will say: “There was... a change of plans. Matron knows of this, so you’re in the clear. Return home, agents”
8. What do they say when the Player Character asks them to stay in camp?  How about when the Player Character asks them to come adventuring again?
Stay in camp – “You sure? I might hear the danger coming from miles away. Well, the thoughts of danger, more precise.” And after confirmation “Well, suit yourself.”
Come adventuring again – “Knew you’d come around”
9. Does your Tav have any escalating conflicts with one of the other companions, like Lae’zel and Shadowheart’s knife-fight?
No.
10. Are there any unique NPCs associated with your Tav that can show up during the course of the game?
In act 3 in Elfsong Tavern the group can meet Arno’s older sister Maliara, which would be trying to draw as little attention as possible. She’ll tell Arno that she and their uncle went behind mothers back and their uncle made a deal with Lorroakan to open a portal from Neverwinter to Baldur’s Gate and allow Maliara passage to the city. Maliara will try to persuade Arno to return home with her (depending on the previous encounter with the spies Arno’s reaction to this would differ, but he will say that he can’t return yet – not with the danger of Absolute cult behind their backs). Maliara would be gentle with her words, but also vocal about her worries for her brother, even going as far as offering her help in this whole quest, despite Arno’s own worry for her. If the Player invites her to join Camp, she’ll become a permanent addition to it, as an Artificer (trading different alchemical supplies).
Tumblr media
11. Are there any moments in the game that trigger unique dialogue for your character? (Like Gale’s anecdote about the barfight after you save the goblin prisoner)
In Moonrise Towers, while looking at some of the battle and floor plans of Shadowcursed lands, Arno will recognize them. “We’ve had this floor plans for months before the spies went missing...” “My house knew about the inner dealing of the cult. And told no-one. How many people we could have saved if we just warned, I don’t know, the Harpers or the city governments. Instead we were chasing after some stupid artifacts.”
In act 2, when meeting gnolls and other creatures mind-controlled by the other cultists, Arno will express his genuine disgust for this, saying that no-one should go through such violation of autonomy. He might recall going through the same thing, when he was still little and some slavers tried to abduct him and his sister, and how terrified he was over losing control of his body.
Story Specific
Tumblr media
1.How does your Tav advise the player character when it comes to the Dream Visitor?
“I can see the advantage we’ll have with these powers, but you always have to pay the piper. And our friend does sound like a skilled musician. Let’s just be careful with the help they are providing.”
2. How do they advise the player character on Raphael?
“One blink – and there goes your freedom in those clawed hands. Not even one story has a happy-ending when it comes to deals with the devil. I don’t think we’ll be the exception to the rule, so let’s not gamble with our lives more than we already do.”
3. How do they react to Astarion biting the Player Character?
“Huh, well that explains all those thought-wishing about having a taste…” “I have no problem with him staying, as long as he remembers his manners”
4. How do they react to the Player Character letting Abdirak whip them?
“That’s um… An interesting… View. Right”
5. How do they react to the Player Character taking their first tadpole power?
“You know, when I said “be careful but curious” I really had more emphasis on the careful part. Although, you seem alright… at least for now. Just give me some heads up next time, I might prepare the knife just in case.”
6. Will they stay with the Player Character regardless of siding with the goblins or the tieflings, or is it possible for them to leave the party permanently?
Arno will stay with Player if they side with Goblins, but he’ll strongly disapprove of this.
7. What can they be found doing at the tiefling/goblin party?
On tiefling’s party: He’ll be staying near Mol, bouncing back and forth with her ideas regarding how to get the most profit from drunk adults (“They leave a lot of their belongings unattended, who’s to say you won’t be the one to find them and be oh-so-kind to return them for a small price for such lost-and-found services.”). The reason for that is partially due Arno wanting to be a bit far away from so many drunk people, as his head starts to be in huge pain from all of their thoughts.
On goblin’s party: He’ll be staying very far away from any possible party participants, possibly in the shade of the trees, closed off and gloomy. When approached, he’ll say that he hopes the lives of all those innocents were worth this “blast of a party” and that this arrangement better pay off with finding the cure. If questioned by the Player further, Arno would admit that there is someone back home who came up in his memories – two small tiefling kids with dark skin, his sister’s kids. He’ll lament that he can’t stop imagining all those slayed kids in the grove as his nephews.
8. Do they have comments on who the Player Character chooses to spend the night with?
Gale – I see you have your hands full of our local wizard. I’m sure you’ll sleep soundly after his lectures.
Shadowheart – Hopefully we won’t find your cold and lifeless body somewhere in the ditch tomorrow. Jokes aside – do have a wonderful night, I’m sure Shadowheart will leave her poisons for more desirable targets.
Astarion – Astarion is… A spicy choice. I honestly hope I will be far enough to enjoy a quiet night without playing a witness to any… lewd thoughts. Or bloody ones, pick your poison.
Wyll – Seems like our local monster hunter already took your attention.
Karlach – Well someone’s in for a warm night. I just hope you’ll be responsible and all of that stuff and won’t burn our camp in flames of accidental passion.
Lae’zel – You sure do have interesting taste in company. Hopefully, we’ll see you in one piece tomorrow – otherwise, don’t expect me trying to avenge you.
9. Do they have unique dialogue if the Player Character lets them die when they steal the Blood of Lathander?
-
10. How do they react if the PC licks the dead spider in the Gauntlet of Shar?
1st time. No. No-no-no, stop thinking that, stop.
2nd time. Oh for gods sake… Is it only the “Underdark knowledge” to not lick the damn spiders?
11. What do they say if the PC tries to force them to go up on stage with Dribbles the Clown?
1st time “Ha-ha, what a wonderful idea (telepathically “don’t you fucking dare”)”
2nd time “Right, on stage. Dreamed of this all my life (telepathically “you better sleep with your eyes open from now on”)”
12. Is it possible for your Tav to be kidnapped and replaced by Orin?  How is Orin's deception revealed?
-
13. How do they react to the PC either allowing Astarion to ascend or convincing him to spare the 7000 spawn?
Astarion ascends – “So… He did it. Looks quite pleased too. I don’t know why, but it makes so … angry. He did break from his Masters control, found his ultimate freedom but it all feels so wrong… I just hope this finally brought him the life he desired”
Astarion remains a spawn and spares the 7000 spawn – “I don’t think I saw Astarion that sincerely happy and relaxed, like, ever. It suits him. Do you think he would appreciate congratulations? Or am I “biting off” too much with it? Oh yes, that one is perfect for teasing.”
14. How does Tav react to the PC becoming a mind flayer?  Can they offer to become one themselves?  Does their reaction change if they’re romanced?
If not romanced – Arno would be saddened, but thankful towards the Player, accepting this as a necessary sacrifice.
If romanced – still saddened, but determined that he’ll stay by your side no matter what, as you were there for him, and he’ll do the same for you.
He will not offer to become a mindflayer.
15. How do they react when the Dark Urge first reveals their amnesia and murderous thoughts to them?
“Huh. Well I can calm you down a bit, as amnesia seems to be something the two of us share. Can’t say the same about a bit of… murder? Anyway, I’m sure there will be plenty of enemies to release your murderous tendencies on.”
16. How do they react to the Dark Urge killing Alfira?
“Now. I don’t even need to be a mind reader to figure out what happened. Another question is why? And you better start explaining now.”
After explanation.
“Well. Let’s pretend we’re friends again – but from further distance.”
17. If romanced, how do they react to the Dark Urge trying to kill them in Act 2?
When woken up – “Hm? Someone’s in mood for a cuddle?” “Although I do sense a bit more tension in you, than usual, love. Are you alright?”
After confessing to what’s happening – “Oh dear, I knew we should have tried reading your memories… Hey, look at me, it will be alright. Whatever it is, you’re so much stronger”
Trying to help the bounded Player “Focus, dear, listen to my voice – (telepathically) “you can overcome this. I won’t let you fall””
“Save the gratitude and focus. I’ll have your back no matter what.”
Romance
1.Is your Tav a romanceable character?  Are there any specific requirements to romancing them?
Yes.
2. Does your Tav need to be flirted with to start the romance, or will they approach the PC themselves if approval is high enough?
Arno needs to be flirted with to start a romance.
3. Are they a polyamorous or a monogamous option?
Can go Poly
4. Do they have a special romance scene at the tiefling/goblin party?
Yes (note: romance scene would be only on tiefling party). Arno would ask the Player to join him after party for “little rendezvous”. After everyone goes to sleep, they’ll meet on deserted part of the river shore, where Arno prepared a small place for them with blanket, wine remains and some light food. As Player comes closer to Arno, who is using his much more controlled than before telekinesis to skipping stones across the water, Arno would turn to them:
“Much quieter here, isn’t it?”. He’ll throw another stone without his telekinesis.
Player either can
Try throwing a stone themselves (success / fail) – “You’re full of hidden talents / Not as easy as fighting, yeah?”
Comment that they preferred the lively atmosphere of the party – “Oh nooo, we have a party-goer among us. Horrific.”
Simply agree with Arno. – “A kindred spirit”
Afterwards Arno invites them to sit. As they sit, Arno starts talking:
“I “borrowed” some wine from Mol – thought I’d indulge myself, but then thought better of it. Don’t want to create another telepathic mess with so many drunk bodies around.”
Player could try to persuade Arno to share a drink with them, drink themselves or ask about him if that was his reason to stay away from the party (“Well yes and no. It’s good to be part of celebration, but I generally enjoy not being in the spotlight”)
Arno’ll continue:
“When I found this place, I remembered how when I would be overwhelmed I would leave our family house and spend some time near water, just skipping stones. Helped me focus quite a bit. Silly, but I thought I’d help me remember something from past months. Some name, or a place or… something. But there is nothing”
Player can
Ask them about what they actually remember - (and Arno will suggest to share images from his past, where he stays in large room, near a table covered in maps and plans, listening to some women (his mother) giving orders regarding something), and afterwards comment - “Huh. Not as painful this time”
Reassure them it will come back with time - “Perhaps. Never been good with waiting, but I suppose I don’t have a choice”
Say they might never come back. - “True. Can’t say it brings me any comfort”
“I don’t know what will awaits us in the future. But right now, I’m glad to have “this” in my memories.” And then he would hastily add “I mean, this, your general company. And others of course”
Player say to shut up and enjoy the moment, or that the sentiment is mutual, in which case Arno will nervously laugh, saying “Yup, ok, good, I’m shutting up”
After which they’ll spent the quiet night observing the river water.
5. Does the romance have different branching paths, or just one route to take?
There are a few different paths, depending on how his personal quest will progress.
6. How do they react to the player character breaking up with them, or choosing another character over them?
He’ll let a small “Oh” and take a step back, as if slapped, lost for words for a couple of seconds. After which, he’ll try to start talking, with a bit of cheer to his tone at the beginning “Well that was…expected. Though I thought we had more time.” After a pause “Can I ask if there was any specific reason?”
As Player confirms, Arno will say “Well. I will cherish our memories together all the same. Thank you, for giving it to me”.
7. What questions can Zethino ask the PC about Tav in the Love Test?
What brings Arno the most comfort?
What future does he see for himself?
What brings his heart the most pain?
8. If they’re poly, do they have a reaction to the PC engaging in a relationship with Halsin?
“Well that’s definitely one of the times when I’m glad I wasn’t snooping around in someone’s thoughts.” He’ll laugh, but with some discomfort and turn his sight downwards. “I mean, if this is really something you’re interested in…  Halsin is definitely a catch, with all that gigantic wall of muscle and natures passion. Can’t judge you for desiring that.” And after a pause. “Although I must ask – does it have anything to do with us?... with me, more specifically? Did I do… or didn’t do something?” After assurance from Player that everything was alright. “Ok, ok, good to hear” “Well, in that case go right ahead. Just please return to me in one piece after all that throwing around and riding and … Ok I’m shutting up.”
9. How do they react if the PC has sex with Mizora? The Emperor?  Haarlep?
Mizora – carefully curious, might ask to share the memories with him via link.
The Emperor – disgusted, when he tries to connect with you telepathically he winces and says “let’s just never speak of it. Never”
Haarlep – Arno would check up on Player, ask is they are alright and if they just need silent company and support – he’ll be there for them.
10. Will they join in with the PC and the Drow Twins, or no?
No. Arno will be feeling very uncomfortable in the brothel, due to remembering that his mother had to work in a brothel in Amn in the past just to provide him and his sister with some roof over their heads, and was treated poorly by the customers.
11. What are Tav’s plans for the future?  Do they propose to the PC, or is marriage not something they’re interested in?
Depending on how his personal quest developed, Arno would:
Travel back to Neverwinter to become a spy on a permanent basis, always under his mother's control (no matter how many unacceptable things he had to do), helping her take direct control of minds of the nobility and small gangs of the Neverwinter region.
Travel back to Neverwinter and agree with his mother’s plan for him to settle down for a quiet, though unhappy, aristocratic life. He’ll become the public face of the house Rilynghym, but will always feel out of place.
Travel the world and build his own name by helping those in need and captivity.
Stay in Baldur's Gate, help rebuild the city and become the city's protector.
Organize his own web of spies that investigated and sabotaged authoritarian regimes and tyrants.
12. Free space! Share anything from your companion!Tav au!
Tumblr media
Arno has nearly perfect visual memory, that helped him memories many maps and images (such as his family tattoos, that he tattooed his skin with after leaving home)
He’ll occasionally would lose control of his psychic powers (that are going sideways due to tadpoles influence) when heavily focusing on something which would lead to him extending his telepathy on others and accidentally sharing his thought with them, or start telekinetically levitate things or even small/medium creatures around him.
In 2nd scene of the romance he’ll suggest to the Player to use their psychic connection and would strengthen it to the point, where they both would clearly feel each other’s emotions and touches as if they were their own.
He would joke to hide his nervousness or uncertainty.
During conversation with MC, Arno will recall good moments from his childhood. How he was raised most of the time by his older sister Maliara and sometimes by his uncle (a psychic wizard). He will recall how, as a child, when all the adults would leave them and go out to find them food/any money, Arno and Malia would sit on the roofs of houses together, watching the sunrise or sunset and getting used to the burning sensation it left on their eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If questioned, Arno will tell about his family, how all of them are psionists, with special gifts in telepathy and telekinesis.  He’ll tell about his uncle, a Neverwinter wizard who could raise a whole house with only his thought. His sister, who is a talented artificer, working on different kinds of living blobs and explosive concoctions. And about his mother, who learned how to influence others and even bend them to her will, though temporarily.
Arno tells there were very little privacy in their house, as their mother wanted to know everything that was going on. If the MC says that’s messed up, he’ll say “Yeah? I never really thought about it that way, I mean - it was typical for us. We kinda were used to it.” He’ll apologize for snooping in others thoughts, as it comes easier to him than to others. Growing up in a household where your every thought was scrutinized and corrected by his mother did give him an impression, that it was alright with everyone else.
If questioned, Arno will tell that he actually has a sweet tooth, but he was forbidden to eat any sweets or sweet fruits at home. He’ll jokingly recall one scene from his childhood:
"I was really upset over some argument with my mom and as always, when I was like this, my sister Malia, came around and brought a whole basket of peaches. I have no idea where she found them, but we spent the whole evening munching on them until we were sick. Then mom returned home, and we kinda missed that. So when we heard her going upstairs to our room, we panicked and hid al peach pits in the plant pot we had in the room.” He laughs. “It took my mom years, before she noticed a peach tree in the room. She was really pissed.”
Despite his difficult and emotionally charged relationships with mother, he really cares for her and genuinely loves her, his older sister and uncle, feeling deep connection to them, that extends even over their telepathic abilities. Arno often finds it difficult to go directly against someone's opinion and generally tries to please others (unless it is in strong conflict with his moral principles of freedom and helping others). He often doubts if his own decisions, but is sincerely grateful when asked about his opinion or help.
The final scene for their personal quest, depending on the outcomes:
If Arno declined to bring artefact home:
Arnafein is sitting on the roof of the inn. The sky is slowly brightening, preparing for the dawn. MC comes closer behind him, and Arno slightly turns his head to their side, nodding his head towards free space near him with a small smile. MC sits; there is a moment of silence.
Player:
*Stay silent.* - Arno sighs "I thought this would be easier..."
"Are you alright?" - Arno "Yes. Just been thinking."
"Cozy place" - Arno smiles "Good for clearing head after messy day"
Arno continues "I breathe more freely than I did in decades. Actually feel like I can go anywhere and there won't be even a fleeting feeling of a leash around my throat. I'm happy." He pauses, his smile turning sour. "I just hoped mom would be happy for me too."
Player:
"Maybe she'll come around" - Arno "You sound like Malia. Maybe you both are right."
"She made her choice, you made yours" - Arno "True. I suppose I wasn't expecting the consequences of my choice to sting so much."
"Seems like she only wanted to control you" - Arno "I think there was love too. Just, her own version of it."
"It's just. We had bad days. But we had good too. I hoped... that good ones mattered more. That deep down she trusted me and was happy for me to find my own path. But she never planned to, has she?"
Player:
"I'm sorry" - Arno "Don't be. You showed me there is more to life than chasing after someone's approval."
*Hug him* - Arno let’s himself be embraces "Thank you. For everything."
"She might have want to, but was too afraid to lose you" - Arno "Perhaps. But I can't sit and wait for her understanding anymore"
"I found my path. With my choices. And my damned consequences."
(If romanced)
He turns to MC, laying hand on their hand.
"There will be bad days. But there will be good days too. And I hope I'll meet them with you - with all of the terrible choices and consequences that entails."
Player:
"Terrible choices, huh?" - Arno smiles "Absolutely wicked"
"Likewise" - Arno smiles "Good to hear we're on the same page"
He kisses the MC, laying hand on their cheek. Kiss will be meek at first, turning more passionate by the second, before they break from each other, grasping for air. Both brightly smiling, and gently grasping each others hand.
"Maybe that's a bit too early to say" - Arno "Well, we have all the time in the world to think on it. And make our own, considered choices."
And as so, the sun starts to rise, basking them in the dawn light.
If Arno agreed to give artefact to agents and bring to mother:
Arno sits on the bench in the outdoor alcove, shielded from the night and people. As MC comes closer they can see, that Arno uses his psionic powers to fully control rats before him.
Arno absentmindedly says "These ones easy to control. It won't be as easy with smarter creatures..."
Player:
"With more time you’ll get a hand of it." - Arno wryly smiled "Yeah, practice is the base of mastery."
"You ok with bending creatures to your will now?" - Arno "My mother wants me to. She thinks it will be useful, back at home."
"You seem troubled." - Arno "This... Is not the most pleasant thing for me. But I’ll get used to it."
"We have a saying back at home... Ilharess zhaun alurl. Matron knows best. For so long I've been trying to get her approval, to make her see me as an adult, not a child. Yet I continued to behave like one."
He makes the rats stand still, in attention. "But I know better now. I know to trust in my mother's judgment."
Player:
"And you'll be content with that?" - Arno "I have to. I will be."
"She seems to know what she's doing" - Arno "She always did, I was just too stubborn to see that myself."
"And what if she'll be wrong?" - Arno "No-one is perfect. But to survive, one needs to trust and obey their leader."
"Ahh look at me, overthinking stuff again."
He let's go of the rats, making then scatter around. "I didn't actually want to... burden you with my stupid troubles."
Player:
"It wasn't an issue at all." - Arno "But it was. It wasn't your problem to solve."
"Yeah, too late for that." - Arno laughs "True, and yet..."
"You were quite whiny sometimes." - Arno "And I apologize for that, as I’ve said it wasn’t your troubles to deal with, so I’ve been unfair."
"What I'm trying to say is... Thank you. To be of use to my house and mother. To be worthy of being her son. I have it - all thanks to you."
(if romanced) He'll lean his head against the MC, trying to kiss them but then will flinch and nervously laugh.
"Well, ok, she, uh... Seems like that will have to wait for later times."
Player:
"Is your mother still in connection with you?" - Arno "Comes with growing up in family of telepaths."
"Wait, what, who?" - Arno "My mother. Still checking in on me and not really approving something... intimate. Ruins the mood a bit."
"Well that's awkward..." - Arno nervously laughs "Yeah, you tell me"
"We can just. Stay here then. Together."
And they stay sitting there in the night.

Ashes of Panem
Tumblr media
Part 2
Paring: (young) Coriolanus x Reader
Word count: 2.2k
Summary: Coriolanus Snow and Y/N Ashcroft had trained together since their entry into the academy. However, when their names were drawn, they found themselves pitted against each other and twenty other children in these games. As Y/N became a symbol of rebellion akin to her great grandmother, who vanished shortly after Panem's liberation, the looming threats of war and the approaching games forced Coriolanus and Y/N to forge an alliance. Amidst these challenges, they had to learn to trust and support one another in order to break free from Coin's oppressive regime.
Warnings: Mentions of violence and death, a little bit suggestive (or I'm just delusional)
A/N: After reading "Leveling the Playing Field" by @runningfrom2am and gearing up to watch "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" for the second time, alongside binge-watching the entire Hunger Games series, I've found myself inspired to contribute to the delusoins I have about this man (within reasonable bounds).
Tumblr media
Since the fall of the Capitol and the rebirth of Panem, things have taken a different turn. Many argue it was a necessary change, considering President Snow's detrimental governance of Panem. The rebellion spearheaded by a young girl named Katniss Everdeen led to his downfall, paving the way for President Coin to assume control. Coin introduced a chilling policy: the perpetual punishment of the children of Capitol officials, game makers, and peacemakers would annually participate in what she dubbed "The Capitol Games."
The name seemed ironic, given its stark resemblance to the Hunger Games, where a male and a female from each district fought for survival. However, the stark contrast lay in the fact that these children from the Capitol had grown up studying side by side, some even as friends or lovers. It was this dynamic that made these games all the more intriguing – friends turning against each other in a ruthless battle for survival.
Your knowledge about your great-grandmother was limited, as your mother voiced her distaste of her views and didn't wish to pass them to you. All you knew was her significant role in the rebellion, bearing the symbol of the Mockingjay. Your mother had cursed you the moment she married a child of a Capitol official, driven by her craving to rebel and show her stance agsinst her grandmother and what she fought for. New Panem seemed to reflect a haunting echo of the past, a cycle no one dared to acknowledge.
Snatching your book bag from the desk, you adjusted your skirt and slipped on the uniform jacket. "Y/N, it’s time to leave; you’re going to be late!" your mother's voice echoed. A woman driven by material desires had cursed her own daughter, never once expressing remorse. At times, you wondered if she was deliberate in her actions, perhaps aiming to make your father suffer, for you were his innocent child, bearing the consequences of his grandfather's misdeeds.
You never quite understood how your father managed to maintain the acceptance for the punishments that generations to come had to face, but in a realm where anything seemed plausible, you had long ceased questioning such matters. Stepping out of your room, you descended the stairs and paused at the dining room to plant a tender kiss on your father's cheek.
"I’ll be home late tonight; we have combat evaluation tomorrow, and I want to squeeze in more training beforehand," you whispered softly, gently squeezing his shoulder.
Your father harbored a disdain for how the Coin family structured the lives of the children in the Capitol. All of them were compelled to attend the Panem Training Academy, a calculated initiative aimed at grooming Capitol youths for the games, enhancing the spectacle of the impending fights. The academy produced skilled fighters who were well-versed in each other's combat techniques, adept at camouflage, and proficient in hunting, far surpassing the capabilities seen in the Hunger Games. It was a gruesome spectacle, yet simultaneously enthralling to witness individuals who had dedicated their lives to outmaneuvering one another.
Your father redirected your focus to him, patting your hand gently. "Remember, keep your guard up, Y/N/N. With that, you’re unstoppable," he advised tenderly, enveloping you in a tight embrace.
Tumblr media
Standing in front of the academy, a quiet sigh escaped you as the imposing glass building loomed ahead. Someone fell into step beside you, offering a gentle pat on your shoulder. "Chin up, Y/N. It's just another day of regurgitating information we already know, all in preparation for the selections in a couple of weeks," remarked Coriolanus Snow, his red uniform contrasting sharply with his white hair.
With an audible scoff, you pushed forward, ignoring the taller male attempting to catch up. "It's too early to deal with you, Snow. Try again in a few years," you grumbled, ascending the steps. Though he wasn’t entirely off the mark, the truth stung. You had been fed the same information and skills since childhood, only to be thrust into a scenario where your survival instincts were the only currency. Admitting Snow's correctness would only inflate his already sizable ego.
"Someone's rather moody this morning. Could it be due to your combat evaluation tomorrow?" he inquired, clasping his hands behind his back as he walked alongside you into the building. "Y/N, seriously, you've got nothing to worry about. You're at the top of our class in combat; I don't see why you're so anxious." However, being at the top of your class was precisely why you were anxious. It meant having a colossal target on your back during evaluations.
Everyone else would work day and night, honing their skills just to topple you from your coveted position. You wouldn’t be surprised if someone attempted to kill you during the evaluations. Each year, someone would bend the rules, seeking to kill a contender prematurely, resulting in reprimands and reminders about the purpose of their presence here. Coin's lineage served as an constant reminder, as each year, her grandson would appear, delivering the same speech about the ideals of the new Panem and how everyone was there to atone for their family's misdeeds.
"What about you, Snow? Shouldn't you be concerned about tomorrow? I mean, you're ranked number five, poised to face Zephyra, who's just below me," you remarked as both of you made your way toward the lecture hall.
"I'm not overly concerned about her. However, I am worried that you'll get trapped in your own thoughts, as you tend to do, and end up sabotaging yourself," Coriolanus stated, his expression carrying a rare trace of concern. You shot him a perplexed look and moistened your lips. Coriolanus displaying concern for you was uncharted territory, indicating either a hidden agenda or an imminent catastrophe. Either way, his uncharacteristic kindness was a departure from the norm.
"What do you want Snow? Just get to the point and skip beating around the bush," you retorted, taking your seat and turning to face him as he settled beside you. His piercing blue eyes scrutinized your every move, almost as if he were testing the waters.
"Let's train together tonight. It could be mutually beneficial. I can assist you in learning how to defend against Jackson's attacks, and in return, you can help me improve my agility. They're wrapping up classes early today, giving us all time to prepare for tomorrow," Snow proposed an intriguing offer. His agility was lacking, hindering his ability to evade certain attacks or strike his opponents effectively. Meanwhile, you grappled with maintaining your guard and fending off Jackson's assaults. Jackson held the third position overall in your class for a reason.
"Fine, we can train together tonight, but this is solely for my benefit," you agreed, shifting your focus to the front as Professor Ellington entered the class.
Tumblr media
Entering the training room, you glanced around before your gaze settled on Coriolanus, clad in a t-shirt and joggers. Despite your reluctance to admit it, he actually looked quite good in that attire. Part of you wondered how good he looked–shaking your head you rid any thoughts that threatened to invade your mind. This was the man you grew up despising; there was no way you'd be thinking of him in that way.
Moving forward, you took a seat on the bench beside him, releasing a sigh. "Took you long enough. I almost thought you were going to bail on me," he remarked, observing as you began taping your hands. Frankly, you contemplated it. The last time you sparred with him, he dominated the match. You barely scraped by with a victory when you decided to exploit his injured leg, a move he made sure to chastise you for over the following month.
"Ellington wanted to discuss the paper I wrote for our survival basics class. Something about me getting carried away with a whole paragraph detailing how I'd sleep up in a tree," you grumbled as you tore the tape with your teeth. In your opinion, the technique was crucial to discuss, considering its significance in survival scenarios within the games.
A snicker resonated from beside you, prompting a glare aimed in Coriolanus's direction. He responded with only a smile before rising and heading toward the ring. Your eyes tracked his every move, noting how he rolled his shoulders to loosen them and ran his fingers through his white locks before stepping onto the mat. Observing his broad shoulders, your gaze traced down his form.
"Y/N, I can't tell if you're checking me out or trying to find a weak point, but it's starting to weird me out a little," he remarked while moving around the ring and stretching his arms.
Standing abruptly, you cleared your throat and adjusted your attire, joining him in the ring for stretching while maintaining a peripheral watch on him. "I wasn't checking you out; you're not even worth a second glance," you grumbled, facing him. "I was merely assessing how long it'll take for me to kick your ass."
Coriolanus regarded you quietly before assuming a stance. Both of you raised your guards, circling the ring, awaiting the first move. It was your decision to act; you shifted and darted straight for him. Coriolanus attempted a hit toward your left shoulder, but you pivoted, dodging the jab and swiftly landing a kick on his back.
"When you face Zephyra, her agility matches mine. You need to learn to move with her, shifting your weight to protect your vulnerable areas, especially your back," you advised, circling back to face him as you continued moving around the ring.
"Why do you dislike me? I've never quite understood the grudge you hold against me. We've been stuck together for years, and not once have I ever screwed you over," he questioned, eyes darting toward your feet, trying to predict your actions. Seizing the moment he looked away, you ducked and landed a jab against his stomach.
A forced exhale escaped him, eliciting a smile on your lips. "Less talking, more blocking," you retorted, sweeping his feet from under him with a swift leg movement. As he lay on the ground, you offered your hand, but when he grabbed it, he swiftly pulled you into a choke hold.
Grunting, you tapped his arm, prompting him to release you with a sly smile. Stepping back, you massaged your shoulder before eyeing him on the ground. "I don't hate you; I just don't see the point in making friends destined to die," you explained, fixing your hair. "To me, you're nothing but competition."
After your exchange, silence reigned between the two of you, except for sharing minor pointers to enhance your fighting skills for the evaluation. By the time both of you called it a day, the sun had set. Seated on the mat, you unwrapped your hand, wincing at the emerging bruises on your knuckles. Coriolanus settled next to you, reclining against his hands.
"Despite what you might believe, Y/N, I do care about you. Sejanus and the others keep their distance because they're intimidated or frightened by you, but you're a clever fighter. Your dedication to learning survival tactics might just be what sets you apart," he confessed softly, his gaze fixed on you as you inspected your hands.
You lowered your gaze, feeling the weight of his words. "I avoid friendships because I don’t want to feel the pain of losing someone who meant something to me. We have to fight the people we care about because they want to punish us the way the districts were punished. I want to be your friend Snow, I really do, but I can't risk experiencing that loss," you admitted, a rare moment of vulnerability shared with him. "I'm bound to enter that arena because of the betrayal perceived by the Coin family after my mother married my father, especially given my great-grandmother's legacy," you added with a shrug.
It was an aspect you hadn't dwelled on much—the betrayal to your family name. Coriolanus gently grasped your chin with his thumb and forefinger, redirecting your gaze to meet his. "Don't isolate yourself because you fear loss. Sometimes, having someone who can protect you or simply offer a shoulder to lean on is better than navigating this world alone," he advised, his thumb tracing your jawline tenderly.
Nodding, you found yourself studying his captivating blue eyes, drawing you in every time. "I struggle with it at times. I've convinced myself that solitude is better, so I have justification for what will happen in that arena and it’ll be easier to do what I have to do to survive," you confessed, averting your eyes before clearing your throat and withdrawing from his touch. "Now, you should go. And don't think I don't know what you were attempting; I'm not kissing you, Snow," you grumbled, gathering your belongings.
Behind you, a boisterous laugh caught your attention, a sound unfamiliar coming from him. "I never mentioned anything about kissing, Y/N. It was just a gesture of comfort," he grinned, a sly smile appearing after crossing a boundary he knew he shouldn't have. "Sleep well, Snowflake. Can't wait to witness your performance tomorrow. But try not to dream of me," he called as you hastily left the room.
If there was one person you wanted to shove from a tree in that arena, it was Coriolanus Snow himself.

A/N: I would like to thank all of you for reading this, It does mean a lot as well versed in writing for Coryo, but I did want to give it a try and so far it has been fun. I do have a few of the next parts mapped out and I will try to release a writing schedule for the series to give you a rough estimate for when each part will be released.
For my ACOTAR readers: I am taking a break from updating for Azriel and Rhysand since I didn't have much insperation for thier parts and I just simply did not like what I was writing. I do promise to get to them soon but as of now, they are on hold until I can actually like what I am writing.

{Take it off} König x (GN) reader~
Tumblr media
Hey guys! It’s honestly been way too long. Firstly, I want to apologize for taking such a long hiatus. Many things in my life have changed to be honest.
My age, my interests, my personal life, my job, my health and so my writing style unsurprisingly has also gone through a transformation of itself. Looking back on my old works I honestly cannot say I have read more than about three sentences before I can’t stand to look any more. It’s just so BAD. Not saying that my new shit is much better, but it’s a slow and steady uphill battle. But for some of my more consistent followers you might have also noticed the change of theme on my page. I will no longer just be catering to the community of five nights at Freddy’s. And I apologize to the folks who only stay on my page for that type of content but honestly, if I only made that type of content, I wouldn’t post here anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I still love five nights at Freddy’s and will be writing more content of that eventually (I’m sure if it lol.) but it’s just not my main focus at the moment I’m sure so for now I really want to branch out to some more games/characters that I’m enjoying in the moment so you guys get more variety and so can get some more people on my page who can enjoy my work.
For this first newer post I decided to take it easy since I haven’t really written anything for a while. And I feel like the longer fics that I write are the last motivation I have to finish. So another change will be that my fix will probably be shorter one shots/ two or three parts instead of a whole series. I may also end up doing a lot of headcannons or imagines to help with writer's block.
Cod MW/MW2 has been my current infatuation, so expect a few more posts of that. Buckle up children cause we are going for a ride!
This post is a short little sweet fic about seeing konigs face for the first time. It’s simple and it’s SFW so I hope you guys enjoy it.
Tags: sfw, fluff, complements, just good ol brain rot.
Fic below the cut.
——————————
It’s hard not to notice how hot it is.
The air conditioner on base wasn’t very good anyways, but you never noticed how significant it was until you no longer had any.
As you walked down the hall you could hear some of the newer recruits here at KorTac complaining. And to be honest, you couldn’t blame them. It was difficult to bite your tongue, but as a higher rank you had to pretend everything was alright despite the sweat parading down your neck and body. It was so sweltering even your eyes were dripping.
You brushed away as much as you could with your one free while you made your way towards your colonel’s office. Your captain had asked you to deliver a few documents as per usual, so you weren’t too bothered making the trip.
The colonel himself was an interesting character. And although you weren’t able to see the pleasure of him working out in the field, he was a usual participant in helping to train the troops. And oh boy, what a sight to behold.
Firstly the man is an absolute unit. He’s over a foot taller than you, (ignore that if ur a tall person xD)
He’s built like a tank, and works out with a giant black t-shirt on his head. He was always a sight to behold out on the training course, and most of all was a very kind and experienced leader. you definitely could understand how he earned his title. as quiet as he might pose himself to be, he was a skilled and brutal fighter.
And that’s why you're so intrigued as you strut to room 106. His room. You wonder how he’s faring with the heat, especially with that unusual getup of his. You even wondered if he would have it off. It’s unlikely, but the curiosity of what the colonel might look like under the mask had you that much more excited when you knocked on his door.
You heard a grunt of displeasure from behind the door, followed by a faint “come inside.”
You twisted the knob and pulled the door open revealing a pretty uneventful spectacle.
Colonel König sat behind his desk fiddling with some papers. The soft hum of a nearby fan could be heard in the background, and you noticed he was wearing the full getup- helmet and all.
He looked up to meet your eyes before ushering you further inside with a slight motion of his finger.
you find yourself trying hard not to stare as you hand him the paperwork.
“Captain said to give these to you. More files from the new recruits. He mentioned he would be out for the weekend so He said to let you know to give him a call to his personal cell if you needed anything in particular from him.” You relayed your message from the captain and was officially finished with your service.
A sigh fell from Königs lips before he spoke “Ah yes, I remember him intending to do such. Thank you Liefermädchen, have a hopefully cooler afternoon.” He noted before he looked back down to finish his work and you spun to exit the room.
You took a few steps but before you left you couldn’t contain your burning question… literally
“I’m sorry sir, but I just have to ask…” you squeak out as you flip back around to face him.
Konig looks up again from his work and this time you can tell he is intrigued just by his eyes. He brings his built arms up to his head and gives them a good stretch before crossing it behind his neck and placing one leg over the other.
“Alright, don’t leave me waiting. Shoot.” He’s now staring intensely at you, and you feel yourself begin to feel hyper aware of the sweat now dripping down your face from your hair and even your eyebrows. You’re sure glad you happened to choose to exclude makeup from your morning routine today. No doubt it would have melted off just standing here.
“Aren’t you hot under all of… well, that ?” You question as you wave your hand all over his makeshift sniper getup. “It is almost 40 degrees outside sir. And with no air conditioning to help alleviate things… well I can’t imagine you're quite comfortable.”
“I am aware of the situation we are under,” he remarks. Now uncomfortably shifting around in his seat, “ but I’m doing alright.” He fibs.
Your going to regret saying this later, but before you can stop it, it’s already squeezed itself between your lips,
“Bullshit.”
You try to pretend you didn’t just say that to your Colonel, but the shock is clearly present on your face.
This causes the man to burst out into deep bounds of laughter, causing him to let his legs fall back into place and to unfold his arms to clutch his stomach with joy.
“You are a hilarious and very brave Herzblatt” he bellows as his laughter dies out. “ You have caught me in my fib.” He takes a moment to stand up and shrug his large shoulders under the shirt. “I am quite warm…”
“Then why not take it off? You pose to him.
“People come to my office often. To take it off, means to risk someone seeing my face.” He motions to himself as he speaks and you struggle to understand what he means.
“So? Why would that matter?” You retort.
“I’m not sure I feel quite comfortable with people knowing what I look like. Kindness has not been in my favor when people had the pleasure of looking at me without my mask.” He says, making you finally understand.
“Are you afraid people will target your looks?” You tilt your head as you move slightly closer to where the Colonel stands. How saddening that is to hear. You wonder what Konig has had to endure in the past, and your heart yearns to help him overcome his insecurity.
He looks to the floor, obviously ignoring your question,
You take this as your opportunity to breach the distance between the two of you. And the conversation suddenly feels like a mother confronting her mistreated child.
“You are the colonel of this base.” Without regard to overstepping you place your hand on Königs left shoulder. “ it wouldn’t matter if your face was so hideous it turned people into stone sir. People will respect you regardless, you are a leader here, and a leader doesn’t need to have a pretty face to still be respected. And anyways, your face probably is perfectly handsome anyways. I’ve never met an insecure ugly person.” The last two bits were a little overboard but you made your point regardless.
He smiles under his mask with your words to him. He couldn’t believe you were giving him a chance to feel a little better about himself, plus the idea of finally being able to strip himself of his personal sauna would make his job a little bit easier.
“I don’t suppose you would take it off just for a little while? I’m sure it would help cool you down.” (That was a lie) nothing would cool either of you down without air conditioning in this sweltering heat.
König pauses for a moment, and he contemplates what unveiling himself to you would mean to him. suddenly, it feels much worse that you would be the first to see him. He knows you probably wouldn’t judge, but something about it being you that just made him feel…Flustered.
He wanted to say no, but before he could protest you pushed at him again, this time trailing your hand to the bottom of his mask and tugging on it gently.
“Please. Just in front of me? I promise I’ll play nice.”
That last sentence made his head spin. Were you flirting with him?
No.. you can’t be? Can you?
His heart began to speed up to a pace so quick, he worried you might be able to hear it pounding in his chest.
“Okay.” He affirmed, unclamping his helmet and pulling the hood off to reveal his balaclava.
You felt the anticipation begin to boil inside of you as he brought his hand to his hood and firmly pulled it off of his head, not giving himself any time to process that he was revealing his face to you.
When he finished pulling his head out and tossed his balaclava to the side with the rest of his gear, you can’t help but feel your jaw drop.
He was stunning.
His hair was brown and curly, and falling to his shoulders. His face was chiseled, and covered with rough stubble. He adorned battle scars like medals and his lips looked so supple and soft.
You couldn’t imagine why he felt the need to coward himself away under a mask for so long. He was beautiful.
Your silence must have begun to worry him, as you noticed he had broken eye contact and was looking towards his balaclava.
You quickly realized that and gained his attention with a tap to his shoulder. You both had forgotten you were still sitting your hand there.
“So how do I look?” He questioned nervously. And your words couldn’t have been more perfect to him.
“I think the temperature of the room just shot up a million more degrees.”

For all my visual learners here is my favorite depiction of what I believe Konig looks like under his mask. Of course all credits to the artist! (NOT MY ART) Please go to their post and like it. Also I’m not posting the actual picture to my post to respect the artist’s wishes of no reposts. Just go to the link stinkies and I will see what I mean okay-byeIloveyou!

(Please read)
Should I do a part 2 where things get a little… spicy?
I very well might. The temptation is greatly building in me.
Anyways for now that is all. I hope you're enjoying my newer writing style and are not disappointed in my branch out to other fandoms. As always I very much appreciate any support I get. It makes my day when I see people comment or like my posts. It’s unfathomable to me that people actually read my shit writing- 💀
Oh and, Btw if you have requested any fics from me I will get into writing those hopefully soon. I know my hiatus looked quite gloomy and long, but I’m back for now. Me taking long breaks is honestly just how I am as a person. I always come back though. Life gets busy, and I’m an adult so other adults understand the struggles of juggling jobs, life and hobbies. Even if I am gone my fics are still here for you to enjoy. Rather If that’s ten days from now or ten years, I hope you’ll enjoy them just the same.
Thank you.

Let's say you had the money and manpower necessary to make a game with your funny felines. What genre of game would it be? Beat 'em up, fighting, maybe even a spectacle fighter?
I always kinda wanted to do some kind of low-poly cartoony fighter, something akin to Sonic the Fighters, which I guess in itself is similar to Fighting Vipers.
I think the aesthetic is super cool and it wouldn’t be something too complex gameplay wise! Perhaps in this kinda style ~

You know I'm really glad Yahtzee Croshaw coined the term "Spectacle Fighter" which he first used for Madworld on Wii, so people can be even more confused on what defines a fighting game.

I wanted to explain to a friend who hadn't yet played Astral Chain how sync attacks work and how the game uses canned animation sequences to preserve the Platinum flair while ultimately making a game that focuses more on positioning, so I spent some time making this visual aid. Idk, maybe someone will find it helpful.
NOTE: If you saw this on Twitter already, that one had a couple errors I corrected, as well as a couple clarity improvements, lol.

Time for more lore for my fanfic For My Sunlight, this time THE GLADIATOR PITS! This will start with what it inspired it and then go into why it was created and then make a long reblog about Liochant's history. LONG POST SO EXPANDED (feel free to use the idea for yourself and comment!)
So before there were the gladiator pits, there was something a festival called "The Lioness Tournament". It would happen every solstice as a celebration of Menphia. It featured various celebrations with the major feat being the tournament. Fighters from everywhere in Tu'la would come to compete and try to win an attempt at bonding with Menphia's relic. Very few ever did, which is why there is a second prize of a nether gold weapon. (Despite never winning a tournament, Liochant does have a nether gold khopesh he received from a his mother figure who was a tournament winner)
Now, 16 years ago, the King of Northern Tu'la invaded the desert and completely took over the continent. With the tournament taking place in Solspear, the capital of the desert country, the Tiger King of Tu'la had an idea to get the people on his side. He turned the tournament into an all year event, with the tournament hall turned into a large battle pit as "a way for the people to get closer to Menphia".
He originally sent rebels and soldiers who fought against the invasion to the pit. They fought for the entertainment of the rich and Royals of northern Tu'la, including those of the desert who betrayed their people in favor of the riches of the north.
As the years passed, it became an even larger spectacle with the stakes getting larger and larger and the arena even growing. Two years after the establishment of the pit, Tu'la ran out of rebels and soldiers, so they got creative and started using prisoners instead. Presented with he option of the pit or death, many decided to take their chances. You could win your freedom, as long as your weren't entertaining that is.
Fights featured gladiators fighting against other gladiators, monsters, and sometimes even fights that are rigged. 1v2, 1v4, and even some that are 1v20. Be wary if you are found to be a werewolf or a shadow knight in this area, for you may just be thrown into the pit for "crimes" against Tu'la.
The games operated akin to the hunger games, with many of the upper class sponsoring the gladiators and trading them akin to how one would trade pokemon. These gladiators would become rather famous, shown off like show dogs by their current owners, but the life wasn't easy for the gladiators. It truly was only dressed up torture.
While some of the battles ended in death, a good majority ended in defeat or revival. Those who lost would be severely punished, and even the gladiators who won wouldn't be free from punishment and torture. For if the fight wasn't entertaining or getting the money worths, it could be worse than losing.
If a gladiator stops being entertaining, they will either be put to death or put to other purposes. Being put to death is the better option if people think the nobles are cruel to gladiators they are much crueler to the people they own. The rich want what they can't get, and once they get their hands on them, officially, they savor. Gladiator eye candy is candy, after all.

Tell us more about the twins' superhero/sot personas:)
GASPS SO LOUD okay so wherever douchebag and her brother moved to south park from did not play like this. like these were some repressed indoors kids. didn't have a lot of toys, basically just sat around being bored and annoying the piss out of each other attached at the hip.
Tumblr media
so when douchebag gets sucked into this game by butters and cartman she's all in. this is the funnest thing she has ever done in her life and she thinks cartman is genuinely hilarious. i say this to say in stick of truth she's basically just along for the ride persona-wise. she ties one of her dad's long polo shirts around her neck for a cape, takes a wood sword and the fighter class headthing from cartman and calls it a goddamn day.
Tumblr media
she's more interested in the game itself than creating a character- this is true of her in tfw too. she just wants to play the game. she knows that the guys have assumed she's a boy but just doesn't really care and if them assuming she's a boy means she gets to play the fun games and her brother can't come then she's here for it all day long. she did not ever expect to be king douchebag but once she's king douchebag can't nobody tell her nothing.
NEW GIRL IS DIFFERENT. he wants to play but hes really interested in all the character building stuff. he wants a cool costume and a cool character more than he wants to beat people up (although he definitely wants to do that as well. he’s more cheap shots and misusing fire based than his sister. she just hits really hard. he goes out of his way to fight dirty and with spectacle.) he starts seeing douchebag come home all roughed up and in costume and he wants to fucking play goddamn it he was not aware this was an option. douchebag tells him he can't play and he is so mad. kyle kidnaps him instead of douchebag to try and get douchebag to switch sides (because they are uncannily identical) and new girl is IN AWE. First thing he does is enthusiastically agree to all of kyle's terms (confusing everyone) and spend hours making his sick persona.
Tumblr media
she's an arcane human girl who was born under the fire moon which comes only once every century and is the harbinger of deep and powerful magic. she was banished into the elvish woods when she was born because of this prophecy, and raised by wolves who taught her the magic of family that her evil asshole twin never did. now she swears revenge on all humans and especially her asshole twin. (kyle and the boys are kind of in the dark on this backstory they just see him make this little red riding hood looking getup from an old halloween costume and some of his mother's fake cherry blossom decorations and say “okay well thats. he kind of looks like a fairy in that. he actually kind of looks like a girl. wait shit is he a girl?? does anybody—has anybody but cartman confirmed that this kid is a boy???" and confusion ensues. he also doesn’t really have allegiances (except that he thinks kyle is cute). he just wants to be the drama. doesn’t care that much about the overarching story like douchebag does.
in tfbw
douchebag is mostly pissed off that cartman is trying to leave her out of the game. again she's not really worried about character creation, which means cartman and everyone else has to force her hand to make a character and the kryptonite and the " your dad fucked your mom" backstory and she just goes with it because she could not care less she just wants to play. she mostly wants to play with cartman and kenny and butters because those are her homeboys she picked favorites right out the gate. she does NOT want to play with kyle Imao she's still mad at him for letting her brother play stick of truth. she basically just swipes whatever superhero esq stuff cartman has laying around the base and makes another super basic costume and just really wants to brawl all the time thats one thing about her she just really wants to throw hands at all times.
NEW GIRL however. well they're not gonna let him play again because after they "figured it out" in stick of truth ("ohhh douchebag's not a girl he just has this weirdo twin sister got it") and cartman and douchebag both teamed up and threw a fit, they made an agreement that new girl absolutely could not play with them. banished from time and space. not in the game. go home.
which means he’s absolutely not invited to play superheroes. you know who else is absolutely not invited to play superheroes?

Fast Times - Sabrina Carpenter
Tumblr media
Requested by @sukunaswhore4life !
Note: I swear I’m not trying to make this a Sabrina Carpenter fan account, but the girl is just too iconic and has released amazing music videos!
In this exhilarating music video adventure, Sabrina serves up pure cinematic magic beginning with her title card, setting the stage for an action-packed experience! As she effortlessly slips into disguises, she channels her inner super spy, delivering an entertaining performance.
Tumblr media
I live for a little sexual tension after fighting. She’s a REAL fighter for handling him in the middle of the street! Sabrina shines as the leading lady in this thrilling spectacle, proving that she's ready to take on the world of action cinema.
Sabrina was captivating with every frame! I was in awe of her pink outfit and wet hair ensemble! And let's get into the all-female hideout. As a girl who always gravitated towards playing a female character in any video game, I was delighted to see the female ensemble. It’s always such a refreshing sight in the action genre, showcasing the power and strength of women in high-octane scenarios.
Tumblr media
With classic moments like crawling through vents and seductively dodging lasers, Sabrina proves she's the ultimate badass. Put her in an action movie NEOW!
As the music video unfolds, Sabrina's storytelling prowess shines through, proving that music videos are more than just a medium – they're a platform for visual excellence. "Fast Times" is a testament to her talent, capturing the essence of adrenaline-fueled action with every beat.
