Wanted Dead is the inside joke you don’t get. It’s the childhood art you made and looking back at it having no idea what you were going for. It’s the soup left in the back of the fridge that’s still good. Itt’s pushing through sickness. It’s you being in a call with practical strangers around 3am when you should be sleeping. It’s putting a fork in the microwave. It’s a shattered compass. It’s eating a clementine and waiting for the sourness and tangy juice on your tongue only to taste nothing. It’s the impatience of waiting in a transitional space. It’s finally reaching your breaking point. It’s wanting the high that comes from smoking and drinking but it’s hating the taste and feel of it. It’s struggling to breath. It’s sewn on clouds. It’s trying to live your life through aesthetics. It’s religious aestheticism without the belief. It’s stretching in your own skin. It’s the beauty in your stomach rolls. It’s the radio playing the same couple songs and listening to it anyway. It’s staring at the ceiling trying to find shapes. It’s the power you feel from listening to certain songs. It’s cursing and shaking your fists. It’s refusing to brush your hair despite the trouble it causes you. It’s the healing solace that comes from showers. It’s slow acceptance. It’s a love note to it’s predecessors. It’s the experience of emotion unedited. It’s the melting culture pot of the internet . It’s a middle finger to capitalism and militarism in the most confounding way possible. It’s life itself, with all its complexities, nonsense, and irrationally. It is poggerz.

Describing Wanted: Dead is simultaneously super easy and difficult as all hell. Focusing purely on the core gameplay, I can tell you it’s a standard hybrid of third-person shooter and hack n’ slasher that offers solid - if notably flawed - action across straightforward linear levels. It was made by former Team Ninja developers and that shows in the stylistic violence on offer.
Also it’s weird. Really weird.

Normally wouldn't have done art for a game like Wanted: Dead, but it's so fucking bizarre, and has occupied my brain since I finished it last week.

I have no interest in Wanted: Dead as a video game but I just listened to the OST on Spotify and it slaps.
