Additionally, I would like to point out that he stayed inside the chamber and kept a watch over Sonic the whole time, then worriedly supported the drained hedgehog when they trudged out

The true lesson we learned is that Tails in any universe he is left alone in will always attempt to make bombs and weapons of mass destruction.

I love that the first thing Mangey and Sails do once they take down a robot is quietly drag it somewhere secluded, desecrate it's corpse and immediately get to work on making bombs.

During episode 5 of Sonic Prime, you can see Mangey get scared of the presence of Thorn's bird. He shuffles around in fear around the other's but goes right to Sonic, gets behind him, and even holds his hand while doing so.

This is so stinking cute, and I'm glad this little detail now exists.

I thimk any excuse to see more tails from any shatterverse would be just the best

The thought of the most animalistic doppelganger of Tails having romantic tendencies with another seems like an incredibly foreign concept at first. But I shall be here to convince all of you otherwise~ Unlike the first impression we got of him with Sonic, he’s going to be a lot more gentle towards you. Instead of his usual feral-like characteristics towards those he considers intruders or threats towards their home, he’s surprisingly calm and more curious than anything when it comes to you despite being in a very similar position as your hedgehog companion. Your scent is different from that of a hedgehog, this specific part of his senses signalling for Mangey to not hunt or target you as prey. He seems to be sniffing you all the time, putting his nose to every inch of your frame while his bright blue eyes just look confused and intrigued. And though slight distrust tends to longer in the back of his mind at first hand, this shall quickly fade with ease when giving the fox the slightest bit of closureness and care; having been a very touch-starved mobian ever since birth.

As soon as you give him the littlest fondness of your own, his mind is going to flick like a switch and he’s going to be all over you. It’s almost as if you’re dealing with two separate Mangeys right here, especially as he kept his resentment towards Sonic for longer than he did with you. In fact, he almost seems to have taken a liking towards you in an instant. He constantly brings you a variety of little sticks, leaves in all sizes, rocks in various shapes, colourful flowers and other small items he considered pretty enough to give to you. And as soon as he got a single glimpse or sniff of some food, he would stop at nothing to try and get it in order to feed you.

Mangey’s behaviour towards you can be very much comparable to the instinct of a variation of wild animals protecting their young and partner while hunting and searching for food during the process. He is rather clingy, quite overprotective over you and isn’t even the slightest bit hesitant to use his sharp jaw and claws in his efforts to keep you safe and happy. Minor sounds of excitement that range between purrs and guttural noises constantly manage to leave his throat too whenever you’re around, that do not occur at all when given any other moment. It’s truly just like the amber fox has claimed you without any second thinking.

He also shows this preference he has for you by being incredibly affectionate. Mangey kind of follows you around like a lost puppy, and certainly behaves like one in that matter as well aside from his cat-like mannerisms. He’s continuously glued to your side, licking you all over your face, grooming you from head to toe while smearing his scent all over you with a big cheeky grin on his face. He sometimes goes up to you whenever he’s extra needy for the observation and just rubs his mohawk against your leg, basically just indirectly begging for some pets, cuddles and head scratches. Even tending to purr at times while doing all of this. He is really just this big furball that’s desperate for constant positive attention. And luckily for this cutie, both physically and emotionally

you’re more than willing to provide that for him.

As much as I adore sonics reaction to when it looked like sails and mangey died I’m still devastated that we never got to see the boscage gang or the angels voyages crews reaction to literally their kid presumably dying

None of them even bring it up as well like-

I wanted them so badly to acknowledge the fact that their two youngest just almost got blown up, the closest thing was at the end where they all thought they were gonna die and sails and mangey were clinging onto their versions of rouge and knuckles. Like I want more people being protective of the tails variants cause they’re the boys.

Also I do love that we got to see new yoak rouge and knuckles be upset about the death like even though they haven’t known the kids for a while they’re still kids and just got horribly blown up
