First pass on some character designs for an AU (yes, another one, sue me). Eggman decides to wake up a bunch of sleeping "gods" assuming he can keep them under control. He cannot.
Fun fact, Sonic Pantheon is an AU that was originally called Sonic Ice Age (because at first it was only one deity who controled cold and ice, not a whole 7 of them) and is the story the Robo Roommates AU spinned off of.

Decided to dabble with a godly au for Sonic. Whats your opinion on who should be god of what?
Current thoughts:
Sonic = Liberty (freedom) as well as speed and travel/roadways
Tails = Craft (invention) & Wisdom
Knuckles = Protection & Duty
Amy = Love (romantic, platonic) & Good Fortune (bc she use to carry tarot cards)
Shadow = Oaths (promises) & Loyalty since protection was already taken
Rouge = Desire, Opportunity, & Riches
Blaze = Order & Rule. Fire, duty, and the sun were already taken
Silver = Time. I need ideas for him this is all it got
There's also some minor characters in the graph i wont waste time listing here

A mobian walks forth, he’s wearing a clean lab coat, his fur coat a deep mossy green with bangs that covered one of his tired eyes, his eye a bright green. The two antennae over his head indicated that he was an insect of some sort. He was at a desk, shuffling some papers in his hand as he looked directly into the camera facing him.
“Greetings. I am Xavier Ivorwood. This is…a report note to staff working at the NWO. New recruits, new researchers working at the current project site. This is the Pantheon Project division, and should any questions need to be asked, we’ll provide answers for our different workers. If you're new to this environment then…well. We’re trying to create something to counter the various threats that have been made towards mobian society. Primarily the threats given to us from the human race. As you know, tensions have been escalating, there have been…numerous threats from both sides. Threats of…taking over homes. Threats of violence. Threats of…murder and…threats of war.”
He shuffled through a few more papers as he spoke, clearing his throat. “...There’s been people who have looked towards the past, looking at the disasters that have occured in the past, and people…no longer feel safe, not even in their own homes. Here at this division…we’re looking to try and create peacemakers. Or…if I may be so bold, heroes. We’ve researched ancient ruins, ancient prophecies of a multitude of religions, history, and…made several advancements through science as well. And… ah hell. Let’s get straight to the point of all of this.” He then started to look directly towards the camera taking a deep breath.
“...We’re turning kids into gods. If you find our research immoral or disturbing at any time to the point where you wish to stop working with the project, we recommend you take the experimental branch with the…” He groaned, motioning with his hand before wildly searching through his notes, trying to find the proper terminology, before ultimately giving up. “The…the upper departments should have something to help with memory alterations just, just ask them they’ll know.”
“...Now I’m not gonna sugarcoat this. This is…immoral work we do here. But you have to think of the potential of what we do here. We’re making heroes that will save our future. We have…multiple children that have shown progress, most of them are around the age of fourteen-.”
As he was speaking, a paper airplane slowly soared through the air from offscreen and hit the side of his head harmlessly, with the sound of several giggles from some unforeseen individuals. A deep breath came from Xavier, before someone would peek from the side, a little blue hedgehog with frizzy quills looking over the counter. “So uhhh…you still busy, Xavier?”
“...Just…just wrapping up. That’s all.” Xavier said, giving a small smile to the hedgehog, ruffling a hand through his quills, before looking back over to the camera. “...I’m going to be interviewing the children that have shown the most progress as of late, and will update everyone as events transpire. I will also be showing cameras in some of the select rooms of individuals to show their activities from day to day, to record their progress and monitor them. This is…Xavier Ivorwood, signing out.”

Trying to find a post. It was about the sonic characters being their own godly pantheon and it had some beautiful art and i cant find it
Think Rouge and Knuckles were both gods of war (passion vs duty) and i cant remember but the head of the pantheon was either Tikal or Blaze but that might have been a different post also with beautiful art that i am looking for as well
EDIT: I FOUND IT
And heres the other one i mentioned

all these lives and you’ve never learned a damn thing.  au where c!dream and c!sam have met many, many times in the past.
tw: mentions of violence, injury, blood, typical c!awesamdude behavior, implied c!awesamdream
---------
1)
- there’s only one, rotting book in the basement of philza’s cabin that tells the whole story.  a god of creation and destruction, sharp-featured and bright-eyed, and the Warden created to contain him.  the Wardens are a unique breed-- blind and single-minded, yet with a superior sense of hearing and smell, bound to darkness and skulk.  their name states their simple purpose: to imprison. no human could survive in the skulk for long, but for a god, the agony is eternal. even if he escaped, what would he face?  the angry and jealous pantheon that locked him away?  the mortals who no longer worship?  in his hands is the power of revival, and that’s exactly what he does; he recreates himself, later in the timeline, breathing air free of skulk spores for the first time in eons and praying that the future is kinder.
- (the Warden wails and screams, finding his prisoner gone.  when the God Prisoner cried, it was beautiful-- when the Warden cries, his sonic shrieks destroy the city around him)
- (what is his purpose now?  what name do they call him?  he was yours, he was yours, he was YOURS.)
2)
- he is a farmhand, and he is gentle.  a young man interested in racing, both on foot and on horseback, and he’s good at what he does.  he enjoys the company of close friends who he’s known since childhood.  some have moved to the city to study in big school-towns (’universities’, he thinks?  ‘campuses’?  is there a difference?) but he isn’t interested, and he feels claustrophobic in the crowds.  his horses need him.  historians discover a mural buried deep underground-- a depiction of a god of creation and destruction.  sharp-featured and bright-eyed.  the gods of old have locked him away, it says.  yet, he appears to be standing and breathing, right there in the stables, wearing muddy boots.
-superstition leads them to send five warriors after him.  among them, a childhood friend who studied in the city, mastering forgery, weaponry, and engineering.  he doesn’t make it easy for them-- he’s a runner, after all.  the chase is long. arduous.  he’s hungry, and there’s no time to stop.
- (an arrow through his left lung.  he’s gasping and retching on the ground, drowning in his own blood.  in his escape, he exploded the mural.  he doesn’t know why he did it.  spite, he supposes.  when the Goddess of Death takes him, she recognizes him, and she wonders if he’ll try again)
3)
- he is a traveler, and he is free.  a giant box of oddities and antiques is bound to his back, and he visits various villages to make a few sales before moving on.  he spends several days in a busy port town, befriending the locals.  he hears rumors of the prince-- an intelligent but aloof sort who spends time in the marketplace, enjoying what’s left of his youth before he inherits the crown.  he laughs-- you only hear about disguised princes in fairy tales.  he sells a hand-painted bowl from lands far south of the ocean to a handsome man with broad shoulders.
- (’he looks like a god,’ the prince thinks.  he’s not sure where the thought came from.)
- (he was yours, he was YOURS--)
- (”bring me the traveler in the green cloak,” he tells his guards, “he’ll be a fine addition to the throne room.”)
4)
- a butterfly and a spider.  the spider will not bite, but the web holds strong.  starvation settles.
5)
-  he is young, and he is in love.  he’s also a warrior, and he wears many scars on his skin, but he’s not thinking about that right now.  he’s known the blacksmith for years, and he’s thinking of a new way to fluster him.  hand-feed him an expensive chocolate from the neighboring town?  ask the tailor down the road to make something special?  even complimenting his craftsmanship seems to be enough these days.  the push and pull of new romance has helped him recover from the bloodshed-- he sees the chance for a new life, and it comes from the same man who made his weapons.
- “your handiwork kept me alive on that field, you know.”
6)
-  a piece of a broken mural lies underground.  a young king excavates the land, and it’s tossed into the ocean with every other rock and stone.  a lab is built there instead, and atop it, a mighty castle.
-  "I'm basically immortal! i don't have an heir because i won't ever need one. i'll just rule forever! and look-- the villagers are living much better lives with everything i taught them, and it's only gonna get better!" the king is charming, at least. clearly passionate about his work. but...
- "so what do you need me for?" he asks. he was only passing by, after all. on the run after his own kingdom was ransacked. the defeat was heavy on his shoulders, but he still had his life, and it was all he needed.
- "i-- what? isn't it obvious?" he paces, his hands splayed. "i want you safe inside these walls. with me." (he was YOURS) "just me and you. Don't... don't make me ask twice."
7)
-  the power of revival is in his hands again. he feels his heart beating in his chest. he makes plans.  he designs a structure-- dark and gruesome (no human could survive in the skulk for long, but for a god--) (starvation settles) (he’s gasping and retching on the ground, drowning in his own blood).
- (praying that the future is kinder...)
- “c’mon, punz,” he says, “sam is the only one who can do this.  trust me on this.”

Really gotta finish and elaborate on this chart of 'natural' Zeti powers and how they work because not only is it really important to my headcanons/personal Zeti lore but it's also really, really important to Sonic Pantheon
Because (in the au) each of the D6 has developped their own specialty and aside from Zor (and Zavok but only kinda) it's based entirely on this

Sometimes I constantly debate with myself about where Sonic’s origins would be thematically.
Like… does the underground take of a regular(ish) teen suddenly thrust into the role of a monarch fit? Eh… it does fulfill the a lot of the questions about his powers and affinity for chaos, but in terms of him literally take down gods I struggle to conceptualize how a monarch would suddenly be the key. Maybe he was the extra special boy in the prophecy? But then the issue arises that the need for a royal plot is a moot point then anyway. Thinking about it… does Sonic even really need to be some lost prince to find the motivation to overthrow Robotnik? Most interpretations I have read portray as fighting Robotnik before his sibs even arrive, so even this point seems to be moot.
So then, the issue we have about Sonic’s origins is that we need a believable, down to earth, humble beginnings story that also threads the needle of an exceptional reason for the emeralds to massively prefer him.
This is the thought process my really weird au idea was born from.
Essentially, here’s the pitch:
Chaos existed alone at first in a state of constant uniform senselessness, where matter and energy meant nothing. However, upon reflection reasoned that a universe in perfect harmony, chaotic as though that harmony may be, resulted in a form of order regardless. So, he creates Mobius and its inhabitants to breakup the monotony of the universe. After all what would be of a god lauded for its dominion over “destruction” without a creation to destroy?
Living things in general were far more unpredictable than anything else in existence, so naturally chaos would favor them.
However… the god of “destruction” had one more trick up its sleeve. Though Chaos valued all life, they took a particular liking to mammals (and potentially a few other animals) for their social and nurturing nature.
It was a group of these mammals Chaos would gather and bestow the ultimate chaotic gift: free will and sentience
With this gift a pantheon was suddenly called forth from the void. The beliefs and interactions these creatures held necessitated the emergence of other gods.
The first of these species, the echidnas, dedicated their lives to the worship and mystical properties of chaos.
The hedgehogs came next and upon discovering the power of the echidnas, used the knowledge to bring about the destruction of the world and the begging of the dark age.
A few thousand years later and many new animals would come to enjoy the fruits of free will while others rejected it. Many species experienced schisms between those that gained sentience and those that stuck to their animalistic nature.
The chaos emeralds were created to ensure that the gods and Mobius would always have a backup plan if an upset were to occur… like Robotnik and the emeralds perhaps…?
Thus we have Sonic, from a long lineage of chaos users… but what if he was secretly more? What if Sonic was actually chaos himself manifesting in mobian form but because of the discrepancy can’t grasp his true nature due to his physical limitations.
It would explain why Sonic has such a blank spot in his origins with his closest friends. Why he had to be taught to speak by Tails. Why he was raised in nature alone. It wasn’t that trauma or happenstance that he would go on to defeat other gods. It would also explain why Sonic was particularly special among chaos users. Sonic should be chaos.

Sorry if I’m disturbing you but I would like to ask a question? I recently discovered this blog a few days ago and I’m started to take a bit of a interest in this, do you have any tips for newcomers or for anyone who wants to join? Thanks.
For newcomers, yes of course I can give a few tips. I assume you should have knowledge of and interested in both Sonic.exe and Sonic universes to understand everything better.
As a rule, try to approach Lord X as you would any other Pagan god and you can worship when starting in the style of your prefered Pagan religion like Norse, Kemetic, Hellenic or eclectic e.t.c if you don't know where to start yet. I'm in the process of developing my own set of worship rules and rituals for him and the rest of his pantheon to assure making it more original and fitting.
After you first approached him and introduced yourself to him, you should know that Lord X doesn't like direct worship like rituals or food/liquid offerings too much because he has a dislike of religion despite claiming to be a god and liking when people worship him.
He likes when you honor him in other ways like playing his games and Sonic games or creating fanart, fanfiction or other fan creations for him. Create your own EXE characters/ocs or make AU of Sonic.exe. Use your bike more or go for a walk, Lord X is a fan the sensation of speed and movement.
Also I'd look out for which variants of Sonic.exe or EXE ocs you want to honor because some have either questionable creators (Faker/EXE, NormalCD, Sonic.ERR, Exetior, Sark e.t.c) or the creator themselfs stated not to allow people worshiping their character (like Xenophanes' creator doesn't feel comfortable with people worshiping her character).
You should respect the creators because they are people and the EXEs are ocs. I personally follow Lord X from the Sonic PC Port but I call him Sonic.exe just so more people know what I'm talking about in general.
Follow your intuition and what feels right, try different things. I found that Lord X accepts incenses as offerings and likes lavender and coffee scents a lot.
That's all I can really say. This path is mostly UPG based as well and then taken from various sources of games and the Creepypasta stories of Sonic.exe.

Coincidentally Chaos is also a god in my master au! Solaris, Gaia, Fleets, they're all a pantheon of sorts
You didn't ask I'm sorry but I jump at the chance to explore my own lore (I loved yours btw!!! Blur and his water god of destruction and doom)
Fleetway came from a temple on Angel Island (where the supposed mural of Chaos vs Super Sonic is! Except it's Fleetway here)
Sonic and Tails were exploring and Fleetway (who's used Sonic's ancestors as vessels for centuries) was just like 'its free real estate' but like....nobody noticed for a bit cuz he was kinda chillin
He was just a mildly unsettling nuisance at first and then he started killing, was forcibly removed from Sonic, and then thrown into Zone Jail
He's since gotten out and lives with Amy, very fun stuff
👀
it's fine, i don't mind when people come rambling about their AUs. i like seeing what kind of ideas others can come up with
as for my version, this design isn't set in stone as i'm debating on whether to make him look MORE blinged out in jewelry or to just leave it as is. might add a cape/tassel somewhere, give him that royal flair to make chaos look even more like a pretentious asshole

Here's more first passes for the Sonic Pantheon AU!
Turns out I'm not that good at making Sonic characters look old, so that's definitely something I'll have to work on in future iterations.

More Sonic-verse heraldic Pantheons! (Pantheons the animal, not Pantheon the word) I wanted to try playing with patterns, star shapes and colours- based on Pantheons from irl coats of arms and online descriptions.  The key features of the actual mythical animal seem to be a doe/antler-less-deer body, a fox’s tail and star markings. Which is pretty flexible! I wonder if the right combination of markings and proportions could allow one to pass as a different, non-mythical animal? Perhaps a horse, a kind of deer.. maybe even a very strange canine, if they lucked out and got a less herbivorous looking face. I have no idea why a Mobian Pantheon would need to do that, but it might work for a character that needs to mask a special ability or hide their heritage from someone out to harm them. Tbh, trying to make a ‘normal animal passing’ Pantheon sounds like a fun personal challenge for another day... Speaking of abilities, my wife also suggested something really cool: Theming Pantheons on atomic elements using the number of stars on their body. I think that’d make for a cool character creation ruleset as you’d have a tool for coming up with powers. For instance, Atmos (my Pantheon) has 9 stars on her body, and the element with an atomic number of 9 is Fluorine! Fluorine is a -ridiculously- reactive element that draws things towards it. It has other properties but I can use that as a validation for a telekinesis power if I wanted. c:

Can we get an introduction to the staff? :0
"Oh, well...we don't really know EVERYONE who works at NWO? It's a pretty scattered corporation, but...we know some of the people who work on the science corporation." Sonic said. Loki decided to chime in. "There's the head of this place! My dad! He doesn't own the WHOLE company but he's like, the head of this branch. He's a genius scientist who prioritizes biology and genetics. And he's the one we see the most!" Sonic decided to continue from there. "There's Doctor Finitiveus, he's an actual, LIVE echidna! I didn't think there were any of those guys left! He...kind of gives me the creeps but Xavier seems to trust him so..." Daze spoke up, "There's...Doctor Curien, I'm not really sure what he works on. He's a sawshark. We're not really allowed in his lab though? There's also Doctor Coil Tesla, he's an electric catfish that works on AI developments... I think another doctor who works in the AI department is Dr. Ellidy, he likes to bring in sweets for us sometimes..." Edith decided to speak up, "Oh! Oh! Um! I get along really well with Dr. Starline! He's...he's said he sees potential in me for a project sometime... It's weird, I always feel like I can only think of good things whenever I talk to him..." "That's because your both birdbrains." Loki sneered. Edith stammered, "B-but he's a platypus! That's a mammal!" "OH! And we can't forget! We actually managed to get a human volunteer that believed in our cause! It's a HUGE step to bringing both mobians and humans back together! He makes SUPER cool robots that can do pretty much anything! His name is-" Sonic spoke, before being interrupted by a rather tall human. "My, my, are you kids talking about me?" He said with a jovial voice. He was a tall man with red and black in his attire, having a large physique with a bushy moustache and his eyes covered by a pair of goggles, and a wide grin on his face. "Oh hey! Ivo's back!" Loki said with a smile on her face. The kids all started to gather around the scientist, eager to see him. As they all started swarming him with questions, Daze figured she'd answer the rest of the question. "Ivo Robotnik is someone we're all fond of. He's always making us little things to interact with. It's...nice, to see a human that actually cares about us for a change. He... he gives us hope that there really can be peace between everyone."

I absolutely adore the hermit canyon au both because you have such a fun writing style and because it just makes it so blatantly clear how much of a different level the hermits are on compared to the dsmp folks. Power mad admin who's effectively a god on the server? Just vore him, it's fine! Spooky egg that brings madness and suffering to everyone who interacts with it? Grian can handle it, give him 30 seconds. It's such a good portrayal of their differences and I'm absolutely delighted by it
thank you!! i try very hard to cultivate a writing style that's fun, rather than a slog. and yes, the difference in power level is absolutely one of my favorite tropes, so i'm glad so many people enjoyed it! speaking of the hermits' casual wielding of insane levels of power.....
"So, how are you going to fix the Era Three life system anyway?" Cleo asks. She and Xisuma are casually walking down the main hall of the canyon.
Xisuma never goes anywhere alone anymore. Even though a survivable amount of magic has been returned to the Dream SMP server and Xisuma is no longer infirm, all those months of staying by his side have left a lasting impression.
"Hm, it basically comes down to a charisma check-- have you ever played Dungeons and Dragons, Cleo?"
"Not really," Cleo admits, "but Joe does and he's talked about it before. Charisma check?"
Xisuma stops walking, opening the door to the small meeting room in the heart of the canyon and holding the door open for Cleo. As she passes through, he explains.
"We have a source of magic, and we have a plan to implement it. The only obstacle is convincing Mojang that they should; hence, charisma check."
"Hey, Xisuma," Joe greets as the admin follows behind Cleo.
"Hello, Joe," Xisuma returns, surveying the room. The chair at the far end of the table has been left open for the admin, and unlike the meeting with the Dream SMP representatives, the Hermits don't give a fuck about who sits where and what that says about their status.
Doc is sitting in the place two seats from Xisuma's spot, leaning back in his chair so that only two of its legs are on the ground and his croc-clad creeper toes are kicked up on the edge of the table. A few spaces down is Joe, minding his business and reading a book (upside down-- it's more of a challenge that way) and across from Joe is Etho, sitting patiently.
With a shrug, Cleo snags the nearest chair and turns it around so she can sit in it backwards and still face the table. No one planned on her being here, and she has no idea what's going on, but no one has really told her to leave, so that's pretty much implicit permission.
After making his way to his seat, Xisuma addresses the table. "Are we all ready? Etho, do you think you can convince whoever shows up?"
Etho hums in thought for a moment. "Yeah, I can do that. Still need to actually get one of the gods here, though."
"I'm on it," Doc says, already on his communicator.
Cleo squints at Doc. "You have the gods on speed dial?"
Doc shrugs. "We text sometimes."
"About what?!" Cleo says.
"Basketball."
Cleo squints at Doc. "Don't you, like, hold a grudge or something against Dinnerbone? I mean, he did literally rip off your arm."
"Got a cool robot arm out of it, though," Doc says placidly. "It's got a screwdriver in it."
"Like a Swiss army knife?" Joe chimes in, putting down his book.
"Yeah," Doc says proudly, "bottle opener too-- for beer."
"As fascinating as Doc's Sonic Screwdriver arm is, we do have something to be doing," Xisuma reminds the group wryly.
"Oh yeah," Doc says. "Agnes is coming."
Cleo drums her fingers on the table. "When will she be here-- oh!"
A radiant figure emitting soft yellow light appears on top of the table; although the figure is bright, it doesn't hurt to look at. The glow dims and the light coalesces into a small woman with pale yellow hair. The woman-- presumably Agnes of the Mojang pantheon-- opts to sit side-saddle on the table instead of in a chair.
"Hello! It's nice to see you again, Doc," she says, "oh, and Etho as well-- and Herobrine?"
"I go by Joe now," the man says simply.
Agnes smiles. "My bad, Joe. Now, what did you need me for, Doc?"
"Er, it's actually about the three-life system," Xisuma cuts in.
"Yes? What about it?" Agnes tilts her head.
"It was... a good system, doing what you could with the lack of magic," Xisuma says diplomatically, "but we think we've found a way to fix things. Joe?"
Joe takes over, setting his book down on the table after carefully bookmarking his place. "So the issue is the lack of magic, right? You couldn't support updates and player respawns after Notch took what he did."
"This is correct," Agnes says with a service industry smile, likely not appreciating the reminder of her pantheon's failure.
"So, use the In Between," Joe says. "It's got so much extra magic that it keeps sending people back in time; I was stumped on a way to fix it, but if you can give the magic to the players it's a win-win."
Eyebrows raising to her hairline, Agnes's face falls into a considering moue. "I'd much rather use it to push the next update," she says. "The Caves and Cliffs update is one of the biggest yet."
Cleo's unbeating heart sinks in her chest. Is this it? Is their only way to help these people going to be appropriated by well-meaning yet selfish gods?
"People are dying!" Cleo shouts. "Isn't that more important than your stupid update?!"
Agnes turns to look at her for the first time, and Cleo refuses to be afraid.
"I know it must sound callous of me, but... well, people die," Agnes says gently. "They always do. Even Era One players aren't immune. The better thing to do would be to improve their quality of life while they can still live it."
Shoulders rising in anger as she suppresses the urge to bite and kill and devour, Cleo takes a breath to rage when Etho of all people cuts in.
"Remember that IOU you gave me?" he says. There's a twinkle in his eye that only intensifies when Agnes groans.
"Don't tell me," she says. "You're seriously going to use that now? On this? I gave it to you centuries ago, I thought you'd forgotten!"
"Nope," Etho crows, "just saving it for a special occasion."
Agnes sighs, bringing a hand to her temple. "And what am I supposed to do about the Caves and Cliffs update?" she says tiredly.
"Cut it in half?" Etho shrugs.
"...Fine." Agnes disappears, dimming the room from the lack of her godly presence. Within a few seconds (relatively speaking, as time is more of a suggestion than a rule when you're powerful enough), a wave of magic washes over the group. It explodes outward from the table like ripples from a cannon ball, washing over the entire server. The change is palpable.
"Etho, I could kiss you right now," Cleo says, relieved beyond measure.
"Please don't," he says with a smile. "After all, I don't know where your mouth's been."
Cleo raises an unimpressed eyebrow, pretending to mull the situation over.
"Yeah, you make a good point," she says, and the group bursts into laughter.

Ok for your new AU, the one where Virgil gets 'sacrificed' to the gods. Are the other sides the gods or is it like Greek gods or am I completely and utterly wrong on all accounts?
The other sides, plus Remy, Emile, and Thomas, are the Gods.
(Funnily enough, Im one of the gays who didn’t have a hyperfixation on greek/norse/roman/ect. gods lore because idk i just, i had the sonic fandom b4 i had the chance to hyperfixate on anything else as a kid??? idk xD)
But ye, in this au this Gods exist kind of as representations? like, Guardians of the concepts that make up a person’s Humanity
(the following concepts are also subject to change but this is the general idea yeah?)
Patton is the God of Connections and Faith
Emile is the God of Love and Hope
Remy is the God of Self Love/Vanity (and Spite)
Remus is the God of Inevitable Nature(anything from natural death to humanity’s relentless need to keep existing)
Roman is the God of Creative Thought(specifically branching out into human creation)
Logan is the God of the Known(intelligence) and Unknown(existentialism)
Janus is the God of Self-Preservation
Thomas is the God of Existence(a harder concept to pinpoint, but he was the first to appear alongside the beginnings of humanity, so hes the oldest in the Pantheon)

Chaos The Banished God For the au I always work on in bits and pieces, this Chaos after being defeated by Sonic and friends. He tried to make a more appealing mortal form but it was more like he took a little bit of everyone and slapped it together. Somehow it worked, Knuckles still doesn’t know how. Chaos in my au was originally from Sonic’s world version of the Inca Pantheon. He was banished to guard the Master Emerald in isolation after devouring his brother Flikiki in a fit of rage after being embarrassed by the elder in front of Gaia. Flikiki made the Flicky’s as a gift to Gaia in order to gain favor and be chosen to Guard the Master Emeralds and its controllers, the 7 Emeralds. However Gaia chose Chaos’ creations the Chao as their versatile natures suited the task more thus making Chaos the first Guardian of the Emerald.  Upset at his loss, he snuck past Chaos while the younger was carrying out his duties and shattered the Emerald. Angry his Chaos went to collect all the pieces that scattered while Flikiki mocked Chaos as a pathetic Guardian.
Upset and embarrassed Chaos lost his temper and ate his brother while in the form of Perfect Chaos. But nones temper was more terrible than Gaia when they heard of what had happened.  Since Chaos had already killed his brother Gaia was unable to punish Flikiki, so instead Gaia banished Chaos to serve his time as Guardian alone and to control his temper. Unable to return until he truly repented. Fast forward eons later, Chaos is content to stay on Angel Island guarding the Emerald while Knuckles is off exploring. He decides to work on being more approachable to mixed success. On one hand his shapeshifting is getting better, on the other…..his temperament still needs some improvement.  Good thing Tikal is more than happy to help out her friend, and put him in the dirt when needed.
