Choo choooo here comes the second train of Songfell images I collected via posts and reblogs from this specific Tumblr, which means there's lots of video art not included. Kudos to @nuvex for the cutest cake-eater yes she is <3

Nuvie's other Frisk is frigging fantastic. I took embarrassingly long to notice the Delta Rune designs on the cover. I was focusing on her...lots of things, but I'm allowed to say "boobs" on my own blog. Anyway, picking back up chronologically:

This is Frisk's hobby: cleaning up blood and sending people to jail at two in the frickin' morning. I believe these were the first pieces we got from @marihem :3

Songfell anniversary post, pt 1

Eyyy so four years ago today, I posted the first three chapters of my story on AO3, having seen an unfinished comic and gotten permission from the artist to write a fic using her premise. This here is the first piece of Songfell art ever, commission from the OG comic creator, @lostmypotatoes 👌

So! I am not posting any new content for the moment. My mom has been having health problems, including me having to help take her to the ER (she's fine, just needs to stay in bed for a while), which delays actual writings a bit. What I am doing is reposting art from four years of Tumblr! C'mon down memory lane, wheeeeee

(Part 2, Part 3)

This is going to be in VERY VERY approximate chronological order as it depicts stuff in the story. Stuff with no set place in the story will be guesstimated because I have that power ah ha ha ha ha

Disclaimer: I've pulled all of these from posts or reblogs made by this specific blog. If I didn't see or repost any Songfell art you've done, especially for the videos, I did not leave it out on purpose. I threw in exactly one image from Discord for the sake of completing a set, but that was it.

In cases of multiple...okay it's just the fork scene that has multiple iterations because everyone liked it, but besides the opening one here (which is still my AO3 pfp!), the one that was the first piece of non-commissioned art I ever got will be first. Enjoy!

This was the first non-potatoes art in the videos, I believe, done by the superlative @venelona (probably the most prolific of the arts on here), when somebody realizes he's gonna lose 😘

I lost my mind at least a little bit when I first saw these, ngl. I can't find the next page that she did for the compiled "movie" video 😢 But now we're coming up on a fun bit of Songfell lore!

Songfell anniversary post, pt 3

Last installment of pics I grabbed from posts off this Tumblr since I started it four years ago. I have been unbelievably spoiled by every single one of you, and if I didn't put something here, it was out of my negligence, not any fault of yours.

Please note that @venelona has done multiple amazing schmoopy poses of these two, and I will be putting them in loose chronological order with the rest. Wheee

...Okay, it turns out most of these are not specific. Here are the more chronologically oriented arts, starting with:

This is pretty iconic, by @nascent-chaos. Have you ever heard the expression "You've caught a wolf by the ears" or "a bear by the tail"? It means the second you get out of a stalemate, you're gonna get eaten. Not applicable here, nope nope

General project and also life update

Hey guys, remember this pic? If not, well hello to this pic by @xxkoichiixx because it's an excellent pic.

I don't do this often, but it occurs to me that y'all have something of a stake in my general affairs, and I have an update about them under the cut.

Tl;dr is that I did not swindle you guys but

God, I hate this fecking interface. Anyway.

You all know how I raised funds a little over a year ago to go on an anniversary trip with my husband, and promised to write a certain quantity of smut? I fully intend to do so, and it will probably be soon, taking place immediately after the end of chapter 27.

The reason I feel icky about it has nothing to do with smut in itself, and only somewhat to do with it being so gosh-darn late. The thing is, when I pitched the whole thing as "husband desperately needs and deserves this trip please help make it happen," I wasn't fibbing whatsoever. He did, and we had an absolutely wonderful time, the memory of which I will genuinely cherish for the rest of my life.

Does that sound alarming? It should. We're getting a divorce.

There are several reasons, and the ones I feel comfortable sharing are that I realized I cannot help him become a better or happier person, despite 15+ years of my absolute best efforts, and I do not owe myself or our daughter any more of the heartache of living with someone so bitter that he barely tolerates his loved ones.

He's also wanted to explore his gender and sexual identities for a long while, but it's a terrible time to be LGBT+ in America and he's genuinely frightened to do so. I fully support him in whatever he needs to do to be happy, and anyone trying to taunt me for "making him gay" will receive a head pat and a kick in the dick (said dick will be provided first if necessary)...but ngl, it does kinda sting that he has to ditch us for everything to be just right.

Actually, it stings a lot. 2022 was one of the worst years of my entire life. I thank all my fandom friends for their love and support, without which I low-key don't know what the fuck I would have done. Shout-out to @dale-the-human in particular. You know what u did >_> <3

(I'm logged into this account on my laptop and my God, the computers I used at college 12 years ago had better emojis than this)

Speaking of Dale, it's been a rough time all around, but we're still slogging along on the videos. I don't remember who I told that it'd be about a month, but that is probably not correct, for which I apologize.

Songfell itself is coming along too, but as you can imagine, in addition to the stress of existing in general, I have had tremendous difficulty writing about a broken family trying to heal. It's even worse for Beauty & the Bones, as "husband who does not give a shit about his wife's feelings/expresses it badly enough to really hurt her" could not be a sorer subject for me and all I want is to make that Sans suffer. Aggre: Seeing Red should hopefully get updated by the end of the month, but we know me, so we'll just have to wait and see.

In conclusion, I hate to provide that cap-off to the smutraiser, but the money generated was not wasted, and the trip was crucial in helping me see that while the man I married is in there somewhere, all it takes is a molecule of reality to crush him, and he will no longer accept my love or friendship to help him through it. (And a giant part of the heartache is that we emotionally split in September, but he's still living here because he can't afford to move out. Cute, eh?)

You guys have been unrelentingly patient with me, and it means more to me than I can express without dissolving into weepy gifs. I will try to get better about responding to reviews and posting literally anything on Patreon shiiiit I knew I was forgetting something argh and life in general. Peace out for now <3

Ficciversary

...There’s no graceful way to spell that.

Anyway! It has been one year since I uploaded the first three chapters of Songfell. And. Holy Crap. Very Capitalized Holy Crap, Batman.

.......I planned all sorts of gushing about how life-changing it was to play Undertale and watch stuff on YouTube and then write thing, but I’m very tired, and all I will say is that my life has been better than it has in years, even with the stupid pandemic, because you guys were in it. Thank you. <3

I wanted to post all the things today, but emotional weirdness and life got in the way. Instead, here is the slightly tweaked first chapter of my Xmas gift to @venelona, and a pic I commissioned from @sharkowskii a while back and never posted till now. That’s right: on Songfell’s first anniversary, I have a newish thing and a picture from that thing. Mwa ha ha, japed again (?)

MOST IMPORTANTLY, I am going to try opening asks for this blog. We’ll see how long my ADHD holds up :3

I've never done this before, but your story is amazing!😍 I found the series while watching comic dub compilations, then saw all of the made episodes to this point. Then started to listening to Calicos streams, and in the end ended up reading chapter 21 on my own because I loved it so much. I know now that I was actually looking for FlowerFell but it was a happy accident and I've really enjoyed the story.

Aww, thank you! I'm probably the most spoiled fanfic author in history, but I pretty much never get tired of hearing nice things. :D

That's an excellent segue into letting you guys know that the smutraiser was a complete success: I will be writing a total of 10,040 words of Songfell Frisk and Sans being NSFW. When? ...Yes! That's when!

(Seriously tho, I'm feeling enthusiastic, which is always a good sign)

I also want to let you guys know that we had a lovely time on our anniversary trip. I will post pics from Sandia Peak in New Mexico and also my husband being goofy, buuuut right now, I have to finish putting together music for part 7 and rearranging what I've written for chapter 22 to be sure it all flows well from angst to worse angst to some kind of, if not resolution, at least an emotional plateau. Thank you again a zillion times over!
