Fun fact: My Chemical Romance wrote the song ‘Vampire Money’ as a reaction to the ‘Twilight’ movies. They were asked to contribute a song for the film franchise’s ‘New Moon’ soundtrack, but frontman Gerard Way said despite being offered huge sums of money, the group refused because they had “moved on”.

One of my favorite pieces of My Chem trivia continues to be how Vampire Money was written in response to Twilight. The Twilight movie creators were really like, “Can you please make us a song? We will give you big money!” and My Chem were really just like, “No. ❤️” and wrote that instead. How iconic of them.
